We booked a deluxe room and they put us on the 8th floor. I guess that is the executive business floor. The room was very nice, luxurious and clean, considering how bad the air pollution is in Datong, with lots of Coal burning. The breakfast buffet that came with the room was also very good, as was the concierge service that set us up with a tour to […] the Hanging Monastery and taxis to the railroad station. They had two Ice sculptures in front of the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good for the money. When we dined there for dinner, we had a private room, they let us have for free, since that night there was no demand for it. We dined on local specialties for $90 US for 6 people. Datong is very inexpensive for dining, if you ordered local specialties, like lamb, mutton and pork dishes. The surrounding neighborhood seemed industrial/residential with not many local restaurants nearby. Mehr

very helpfull english speaking staff at reception which organized taxi (don't expect an english speaking taxi driver in datong) to hanging monastry/caves. good quality room with large bathroom/flatscreen tv/bed. unfortunately there was no spa and the sauna door was broken in the pool area, so there was just the pool availabe which was quite disappointing […] as we were looking for a hotel with spa facilities... good food for acceptable price, 24 roomservice for quite a big selection of the menu. Lovely place except that there were no vegetarian meals.

Very modern, comfortable and clean hotel. We spent three weeks travelling through china, mainly in 4 and 5 star hotels, this was the best! Staff was extremely helpful, as we dont speak Chinese they helped us out numerous times, from organizing a driver on a fair price (for the Yungang Grottoes and the Hanging Monastery) to booking train tickets to our […] next destination (Xian). Et svært flott hotell med nydelige rom! Veldig hyggelig personale som var svært hjelpsomme! Vi fikk bruke hotellets fasiliteter resten av dagen etter utsjekking. Hotellet lå i et fint og rolig strøk, med noe gangavstand for å komme til butikker og restauranter. Dette var rett og slett et hotell vi gjerne skulle hatt flere netter på!

la posizione non è centralissima, ma il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo. Hotel nuovo di standard internazionale.

Es un hotel muy cómodo con habitación muy espaciosa. Cama King Size increíble. Muy atentos con la limpieza. El personal de recepción con el que hablamos (4 diferentes) casi no hablan inglés y tuvimos un par de malentendidos con excursiones, taxis y servicios del hotel. La ubicación está bien (en taxi a 20 minutos de la estación de tren) para ir a las […] excursiones típicas, pero no hay mucha vida alrededor del hotel. Mehr

Very friendly and helpful staff. Brand new hotel (2010) with excellent rooms. However they turn off the aircon in fall (when we visited) meaning that some of the rooms can get VERY hot indeed because of direct sunlight in rooms facing south (30+ degrees C). We had to change rooms because of this but only after the concierge had come up to check the […] aircon twice (which is kind of meaningless since they turn off ALL aircon in fall as mentioned above). When changing the rooms we forgot a gold necklace in the first room. Upon discovering this we informed the front desk but the necklace was already gone... I know: we can only blame ourselves for forgetting valuables in the room but still you kinda don't expect them to be stolen. This is of course just bad luck and not something that necessarily reflects on the hotel standard (which is otherwise excellent) but in light of this we cannot recommend it). Mehr

Très bel hôtel très luxueux pour un prix plus qu'abordable. Le lit d'un confort divin fut un régal après plusieurs nuits passées dans le train!

Hotellet er først åbnet d.18.juni og det er simpelthen så lækkert! Vi følte os som konger og dronninger! Hotellet vrimler med ansatte og de er alle søde, imødekommende, taler udemærket engelsk og behjælpelige med ALT! Vi nød vores ophold i allerhøjeste grad.
