"Positive Überraschung"

Sep. 2012Zunächst war dieser Aufenthalt auf einem Campingplatz eine Notlösung, da im benachbarten Jackson Hole wegen des jährlichen Finanztreffens alles ausgebucht war. Cabins auf Campingplätzen hatten wir schon entlang den Highways zu genüge gesehen und wir rechneten mit dem Schlimmsten. Aber es kam anders - die Cabin war nagelneu, vollständig eingerichtet mir Küche, Esstisch und Badezimmer. Davor eine Veranda mit Sitzbank, Grill und Feuerstelle. Das Ganze idyllisch direkt am Snake River gelegen, die Nähe zur Fernstrasse störte überhaupt nicht. Für zwei Personen ideal, bei einer Sollbelegung mit 4 Erwachsenen, es ist noch ein zweiter Schlafraum vorhanden, vielleicht etwas eng.

"Alles was man zum Übernachten braucht"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 22. Aug. 2012Wir brauchten eine Übernachtungsstäte vor dem Yellostone-Trip. Als Alternative zu den teuren Hotels im Park eignet sich das Best Western Teton West hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und haben einen Kühlschrank. Der Typ am Frontdeck ist sehr hilfsbereit und witzig.Wie andere schon erwähnt haben ist der Frühstücksraum klein. Es passen vielleicht 10 Leute rein, was aber ausreicht. Da das Frühstück recht kärglich ausfällt, ist man da auch schnell fertig. Ach ja, einen Pool gibt es auch. Als reine Übernachtungslocation würde ich es sofort wieder buchen.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und geräumig, die Möbel im Zimmer und dem gesamten Hotel sind sehr geschmackvoll und passen zur Bergwelt. Unser Zimmer in der 2 Etage war etwas dunkel, da es im Schatten/Servicezufahrt des Nachbarhotels lag. Das Valet Parking funktionierte problemlos - für einen kurzen Stop im Hotel jedoch lästig, da es keine Möglichkeit für Self-Parking gibt. Das Frühstück (typisch amerikanisch) war sehr lecker und der Service ingesamt gut. Zur Sicherheit des Hotels wird der Kreditkarte ein Betrag von $450 belastet, beim Check Out hat der Mitarbeiter dann festgestellt, dass dieser Betrag nicht uns sonderen einem anderen Gast belastet wurde. Das Problem wurde jedoch umgehend gelöst und die Belastung für den anderen Gast wurde hoffentlich aufgehoben. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten und könnten uns - aufgründ der Nähe zu den Liftanlagen - einen Aufenthalt im Winter sehr gut vorstellen.

We stay in Jackson every other month but this was the first and the last time we will stay at the Anvil. The room smelled musty and reeked of old smoke; the room was dirty and covered in dust. They said the beds were queens, but if they were it was the smallest queen I have ever seen, when I questioned the front desk staff about it he was very rude […] and asked me if I wanted a measuring tape to measure it myself, this guy was a jerk and clearly did care about costumer service at all. "Great location, not a lot of parking"
It wouldn't be my first choice if I were to go back to Jackson Hole, but it served it's purpose for a nights stay as we passed through. It was a great location - a block away from all the action. We arrived later and it appeared parking was all gone. I asked about parking while inside checking in and I was told to try and find a spot on the street. […] I asked what if I couldn't and the woman told me she would try and help me. I drove around the block and noticed all the signs said three hour only parking. Thankfully I found a spot in the back of the hotel, which wasn't mentioned by the person when checking in. As I walked in the office to check in there was a man asking if there were any open rooms left. They had one room left and offered him a discounted rate (a good amount cheaper than I got). I then checked in and was given a room with a 100-series number. My 80 year old grandma was traveling with me so I thought great - first floor, what I was going to ask for. It was my fault for not asking further - this room was on the 2nd floor (and there is no elevator). Unfortunately the man that asked about the last room and rented it after we checked in - we saw walk into a room on the first floor.. (doh!). So ask if you want first floor! Lodging prices at Jackson, WY are simply ridiculous. You take prices in rest of the country and add 50-100% and you get Jackson. Taking this qualification into account, this motel offers a decent quality for the price. The room was nice enough, had all I needed (I don't have "royal" expectations and value my money more), refrigerator and microwave make […] it a good longer-stay option. Good location, too. Friendly staff. WiFi could improve, especially in the morning. Floor/ceiling above a bit noisy (squeeking with every step of a fellow guest living above - and he/she was restless first night), which is probably one real complaint I'd have. It was much more dated than the online photos showed. The decor was clean but old, the room comfortable and large but it looked and felt horrible. The bed was huge and comfortable and everything worked, including the air-conditioning and fridge. I had an upstairs room, up two outside flights of wooden stairs. The downtown location was excellent, the […] room I had was quiet. It was fine but I just didn't like it, sorry. I wouldn't stay here again. Everything they had to say previously is pretty well said. The hotel itself is a little older, but clean and comfy. Parking sucks, but if you get in after 6 p.m. you can park on the street. "Love the location."
Hotel has a great location close to the town square and many shops and restaurants. No need to drive everywhere, get out and walk. Had a microwave and small fridge so we could use the food we had brought in our cooler. Not a huge room but comfortable for the 2 of us. Location 1 block from town square. budget accommodation, small room but very comfortable. Breakfast was included but as the office didn't open till 8am we didn't wait around to try it out, we were too busy going out to look for moose, bear and elk. "Perfect for a quick, cheap stay"
Yeah, it ain't the Hilton, but it was a nice cozy little room. It was perfect for just a bed to stay in over night. I mean...are you really in Jackson to live in your hotel room? "Nice place to stay"
This was a pretty decent hotel at a fair price. It is right downtown in Jackson within walking distance of the shopping and bars, which is very important as Jackson has way too many cops and drinking and driving is a bad idea there.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Great Location, Nice little room"
We stayed at the Anvil two nights and couldn't be happier. It is within walking distance to resturants and shops and easy to find. We ate breakfast at the Bunnery every day, which was wonderful. "Real old fashioned motel in centre of town"
Clean and comfortable though pleasantly old fashioned in line with the whole town. One block off the centre so you can skip the motel breakfast and have a full one in town. Parking in Jackson can be difficult and the motel has fewer spaces that rooms.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Underrated"
This was the cheapest place we could find (it was Labor Weekend) that still had availability and a bit concerned given its 2 star rating. However, it was clean, the facilities worked fine, and was an excellent location for Jackson and Grand Teton, especially being able to walk to any of the restaurants in town (The Bunnery is one block away). The Anvil is an older hotel located only a few blocks from downtown Jackson. It is of the older style, small bathrooms, adequate bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable, and the price a fraction of the elite establishments. An easy walk to Jackson Town Square, its restaurants, bars, and galleries. Looks just like it's website pictured it - Western flavor, a little rustic. They have a small, but sufficient breakfast in the morning to get you started.
