Hampton Inn & Suites San Francisco Airport South-Burlingame - Millbrae

Das Hotel hat ein schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Leider ist der Zimmerservice nicht zufriedenstellend. Nachdem das Zimmermädchen im Zimmer war fehlte meinem Sohn ein großes Spielzeug. Schade für das sonst sehr akzeptable Hotel.

Wir hatten dieses Hotel zum Abschluss unserer USA Rundreise gebucht, weil es in unmitelbarer Nähe des Internationel Airports San Francisco liegt. Obwohl es fast direckt neben der Start/Landebahn gelegen ist hatte man dadurch keine Beinträchtigungen bezüglich des Fluglärms. Unser Zimmer, wir hatte eine kleine Suites, war sehr geräumig und nett eingerichtet, […] es gab sogar eine kleine Küchenzeile. Das Zimmer war sauber, der Internetanschluss war OK, und man hatte sogar in der Lobby einen eigenen Computerraum mit kostenlosem Drucker zur verfügung. Einziger Minuspunkt war das das Hotel keine Zirkulationsleitung für das Heisswasser besitzt und wir im Vierten Stock morgens etwas länger auf warmes Wasser in der Dusche warten mussten. Das war aber zu verkraften, dauerte auch nur so ca. 2 - 3 Minuten. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich mit Rührei, gekochten Eiern, frischen Früchten und allem was man von einem amerikanische Frühstück sonst noch erwartet. Kaffee und Heißes Wasser für Tee stand 24 Stunden lang zur verfügung. Unser Fazit, wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder Buchen. Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen beinahe direct an der US 101, man ist mit dem Auto in ca. einer halben Stunde an Fischermans Warf. Die BART Station liegt gleich um die Ecke allerdings ist die Fahrt in die Innenstadt recht teuer auch wenn man einen MUNI Pass besitzt, der beinhaltet nämlich nicht die Fahrt mit der BART Bahn, und die kosste für eine Person hin und zurück pro Tag 8,50$ und ads läpert sich dann. Mit dem Auto ist dann besser, man muss nur einen günstigen Parkplatz finden. Mehr

The hotel itself was very clean and nice but the staff (front desk and manager) was hostile and even commented to me about getting a discount on the room. I attempted to book the room for an additional night from the hotel and they were NOT accommodating and did not want to assist with an additional night without paying the full advertise price when […] I know the manager can give at least give SOME discount. Maybe not the discount I received from hotel.com but SOME discount. They were very snotty. Mehr

I came here looking for a not-expensive hotel that was close to the airport for our last night in the bay area. I came in with rather low expectations thinking it would be old and loud with the airport close-by, but it was better than I expected. The elevator was old, but functional. There was a door close to the elevator that made moving luggage easy. […] The room was clean, the continental breakfast was nice with bagels, waffles, cereal, etc. I would stay here again as a matter of convenience. I liked the room except we searched for a room that would allow 5 adults, the number in my family. This room came up and we reserved it. When we got to the hotel, they informed us they could not give us a roll away bed because the city said it was a fire hazard. We could either take 2 rooms or have a someone sleep on the floor. Why would they allow […] us to reserve a room for 5 adults but only have beds to sleep 4? Very strange. We choose one child to sleep on the floor with about 5 blankets as a cushion. We needed a place close to the airport because we were coming in late and didn't want to go into the city then without a car. The shuttle came right away and was efficient, room was nice, clean and quiet. Desk clerk was not very friendly. The negative: I chose this because we needed a place for child #3 to sleep and rollaways were listed as an amenity […] on the hotels.com website; I booked for 5 people. When I called to request the rollaway, too late to cancel, surly clerk informed me they cannot provide them due to fire hazard. Mehr

Very convenient, friendly helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, couldn't ask for more.

Room and staff were great; wonderful breakfast. Only issue was noise from adjoining room through two closed connecting doors. I could follow conversations, heard the hair dryer and toilet flushing as if I were in the same room.

I always stay here the night before I fly out of SFO to return home. Free parking, clean hotel, reasonable rates, and all the amenities I need. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Highly recommend this hotel.

Good location for SFO (ten minutes on shuttle), efficient and friendly staff, good room, decent price, includes breakfast and WiFi. No carpets in Lobby or breakfast area right now (mid Jan '12), otherwise a first-class place.

We enjoyed the breakfast most of all !

Free airport shuttle, free wi-fi Internet, free breakfast, free coffee/tea whenever you want it, fridge, lapdesk for your laptop, great TV channels, windows open for fresh air, free business center computer/printer/copier, comfortable bed, great service, nice staff - what more could you want?

Typical airport hotel. Like most SFO airport hotels, it's absurdly expensive for what it is. The shuttle to the airport takes up to 30 minutes because it makes lots of stops, despite being about a mile from the terminal. Other than the lovely Bayfront park, this part of Burlingame/Millbrae is a wasteland. Expect to have to call out for delivery if […] you want to eat. There's a Starbucks (and a very expensive restaurant) in the Marriott across the street. Mehr

Very nice hotel. Comfortable room, good breakfast. Neighborhood is not very interesting, but if you just need a place to sleep, this is very fine. Service is frinedly. 10 min walk to Caltrain station.

Hampton Inns are clean, and you cannot beat how close it is to the airport for very early flights. But don't expect any frills, and light sleepers might have a problem with the planes that come overhead throughout the night.

This hotel was in a perfect location for my event, and it is also close to the nearby sea, so it has a wonderful view of it, and the airport. It will be loud often due to the airplanes landing often, but aside from that its also in a nice location for viewing the sea. Food wise, there aren't many restaurants or local malls or anything in the area for […] tourism in my opinion. Overall i think it was a great hotel to stay at, for my particular convention which was across the street in the Marriott. Mehr

Poorly maintained Hampton franchised location. Not at all up to Hampton standards. Lumpy beds. Musty, mildewy bathroom. No excuse in this highly competitive airport market.

The staff was very helpful - giving us a wonderful recommendation for dinner the first night and directions to BART the next morning. Our party enjoyed the free breakfast - good assortment of food and drinks.

I would say that this hotel is good for an overnight stay if your flying the next day. Not a good location if your staying multiple nights if you don't have a rental car. The staf was wonderful and very accomadating.

The wife and daughter enjoyed the stay close to Tanforan shopping, and resturaunts in south city. We all slept very well, could not hear any flight or street noise. Very nice place to stay and will use this hotel any time we fly out of SFO, front staff very nice and lovely, professional. 12+ on a 10 scale. FMG

The hallway smelled strongly of stale cigarettes. I had requested a non-smoking room but the smell was strong in the room as well (I awoke feeling ill). I requested a different room and was told they were full but I didn't see many people walking around. The desk clerk mentioned with disdain my having booked with Hotels.com and pre-paid. Oh - and beware […] the shared shuttle service. I waited 30 minutes at SFO and finally got a cab ($20 from airport to hotel). I never write negative reviews but this one gives the chain a bad name. I didn't find this Hampton Inn up to par with other ones I've stayed at. My companions bedding smelled of Ben Gay making us wonder if the sheets were clean, the coffee pot in the room didn't work, the coffee in the longue tasted like it had been sitting in the pot overnight and our toliet didn't flush correctly. There was also a used tissue on the registration […] counterand the place was showing a little wear and tare. All and all I don't feel this Hampton Inn measured up at all with other ones I've stayed at in the past. Mehr

This hotel was well suited for our family's needs. The location was a short drive from the city but it was not an issue. Compared to hotels in SF city, this was a good deal with all the freebies that are included (breakfast, parking, WiFi). I just wish they had heated pool and spa, that would have made the hotel perfect! The service was excellent. The […] staff made our stay really pleasant and worry-free. Mehr

We were on the odd numbers side of the hotel and heard beeping from trucks backing up throughout the night. Would have rated higher if I had been on the even number side.

This hotel is very clean and convenient to San Francisco. We were in SF early July. The city was packed and this was a nice place to be away from the chaos. Staying in the city would be at least double the price for the quality and space of rooms that this hotel offers. Plus, free breakfast and free parking make it even better! We didn't utilize public […] transportation, but, it would have been fairly convenient from this location. Of course staying in the city is amazing, but, during peak season prices, it is worth it to be just out of the city. We were 2 families staying here with a total of 6 kids between us. Mehr

This Hampton Inn was very clean and had no lingering smell of smoke. The room was very well appointed, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast was excellent. The location was excellent for our visit itinerary. My wife was very happy with this hotel and we will stay there again the next time we visit San Francisco.

This hotel was great! Very close to Bart and CalTrain. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good and they replenished it continously.

I have to preface this by saying that we wanted to stay at the Bay Landing, just down the street, and it was sold out. Reviews indicated that the Hampton Inn had a great breakfast, and good service, so, although we realized it was a chain, we thought it would be fine, and even went with it although the price was higher than we pay for a chain. We were […] a bit tired of Holiday Inn Express breakfasts! First, the place looks barren when you walk in. It doesn't appear comfortable or cozy, but on the other end, isn't grand either. It's like a large Motel Six lobby. I notice signs, and the ADA signs are really bad. The room was, like the whole hotel, unrelentingly beige. The filling in the duvets had clumped together, so the beds appeared lumpy -- although they were actually OK, although not great. The breakfast was a huge disappointment, so we didn't eat there. The only fruit was apples and canned grapefruit. Bread and pastry choices were sparse. When we were there, there were no hard boiled eggs (later I saw two), there were two small yogurts, and the scrambled eggs had run out. It looked like they were really skimping to just put out a few things at once, and not replenish them. I can't say the room was uncomfortable or garish. I can't say the desk clerk was unfriendly (although they were extremely uninformed and therefore not helpful about restaurants) or rude. But for that price, I could have done much better, I think, or done just as well for $50 less. Stay there if clean, comfortable room, nice staff, and nearness to the airport are everything you need. We had a delightful experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room and all the public areas were hospital clean. The breakfasts were excellent and different items were available each morning. We have recommended this hotel to friends of ours who wish to be near SFO.
