Pacific Inn and Suites - San Diego

WLAN im Zimmer funktioniert nicht, Empfang nur an der Rezeption! Sehr laute Umgebung, vor allem Züge! sonst Ok, fußläufig zur Innenstadt und ganz nah an der Bucht!

Hotel liegt super, direkte Nähe zu Hafen undGaslamp Quarter. Balboa Park, Zoo, Seaworld liecht erreichbar

Ich war recht zufrieden mit dem Hotel!

Das Zimmer hat fürchterlich nach Rauch gestunken obwohl wir ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht hatten. Das Personal ist unfreundlich, das Frühstück ist winzig und Badezimmerartikel wurden nicht aufgefüllt resp. ersetzt. Der Zugbahnhof ist in direkter Nähe sodass man die Züge vom Zimmer aus sehr laut hört.

Das Hotel war eingendlich angenehm, hat freundliches Personal und dass das Bett etwas hart war ist auch nicht so ausschlaggebend, dass ich es nicht weiter empfehle. 50Meter hinter dem Hotel fährt die Santa Fee durch und wie es do die Amis haben müssen die wohl bei jeder Kreuzung hornen. Der erste Zug fährt ca um 6 Uhr und der letzte um 2 Uhr am Morgen. […] Also ich meinte dass der Zug direkt durch das Zimmer fuhr. Das Hotel anfür sich ist nicht das problem vermehrt die Lage. Also schaut vor dem Buchen ob umliegend vom Hotel eine Eisenbahnschine durch geht. wen ja, bucht nicht dort wenn ihr länger als 2 nächte dort über nachten wollt. Mehr

A Good Functional Room that did not disappoint! I had stayed there before and this hotel lived up to my expectations from my last experience. Parking and location to downtown made it very convenient! Staff was excellent and continental breakfast very good. I would definitely stay here AGAIN !!

This is a nice little hotel for a nicer price. No problems whatsoever, except that the Hotels.com listing said the breakfast includes make your own waffles, which was not the case. They just had the standard pastries, juice, cereal, and bagles.

They lied that they had a waffle maker, and also no coffee maker in the room. Even though we had a non-smoking room, everyone including the front desk guy, smoked right outside the rooms and the front desk. The train noise wasn't an issue, the construction in many of the rooms was!! At least start after 9:00 as a courtesy to your guests!! The location […] was great as was the breakfast. The desk people were nice and friendly. The pool was ice cold and no Jacuzzi with pool. The Jacuzzi adveritsed was in ONE hotel room only and it was taken! We have stayed at this hotel three times over the last two years and each time we were impressed by how efficient and helpful the frontdesk people are.

Very close to train and trolly system, I walked. 2 blocks to "Little Italy" I walked. Breakfast was minimal, but enough. Staff was very friendly, price was very reasonable. Give it a try, you might like it for the covenience.

The property looks much better from the outside than what the rooms do, however for a few nights in San Diego one shouldn't expect a five star at this price. The front desk personnel were very professional and took time to give directions and explain in detail any questions brought forth. The rooms were clean and comfortable but very outdated. Bathroom […] remodeling is definitely in order, the bedspreads although clean,were old fashioned and the drawers in the dresser were coming apart. This place was perfect for an overnight stay. Closeby to where we wanted to go, which was the harbor, and have a nice walk to our destination. It is convenient, reasonable for the price range, even if that meant hearing the train or plane, any hour of the day.No problem for us. Location is the biggest plus and I would recommend it for those insisting […] on budget first. The breakfast was good. The usual coffee, cereal, fruit, bagels w/cream cheese, or honeybuns...no complaints here. I wasnt expecting a big breakfast buffet and what was there sufficed. Staff was friendly and room was nice. You can hear others if they are too loud in their room, but thank goodness it wasnt like that when we were there which happened to be Presidents Day weekend. Sure you can hear noise, but thats expected in a hotel. Overall...we would recommend this for those not minding to walk, explore and ignore the city noise that comes with the city. This is city life. We will be back again for next years Tribute to Legends festival and most likely will stay here again. Mehr

I stayed in this hotel while attending a conference at a much more expensive hotel several blocks away. It was a terrific value: clean, safe, and friendly service. Appreciated the continental breakfast. My only surprise was how loud the trains and boats were--was awakened frequently in the middle of the night by blasts of train whistles or foghorns […] . Mehr

Because of its location-Pacific Highway- It was quite noisy-trains a block away, planes overhead and the noise from 2nd floor occupants walking around their room was also loud. The staff was very friendly and helpful wirh printing boarding passes. The price was very good and the Inn was very convenient to the airport

Great deal for the price- I would stay there again. The staff is friendly and the facilities are very clean. Rooms appear to be recently renovated. It is located just 2 blocks from Little Italy and about 6 blocks from the docks (e.g. USS Midway). Breakfast is extremely minimalist, but it is included! Location is FANTASTIC for visitng the harbor, zoo, sea world, & Little Italy!!! Little Italy is within walking distance, as are many other downtown sites. Staff at the motel was VERY helpful, especially Shari!! Shari was a fountain of information!! Would definitely stay here, if visitng San Diego!!

This property is an excellent location for any San Diego based activities. It is one block from the San Diego Bay and one block to get onto Hwy 5- we had to be in San Diego for oncology appointments at Balboa Naval Hospital and found this location and price to be very convenient and affordable. The property is well maintained, carpeting all looked very […] new and very clean. the staff, especially the front desk, Shari and John are knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. We will book there again whether attending doctor appointments or picking up friends flying into San Diego. The airport is less than a mile, BUT we never heard the planes. They offer a continental breakfast and there are so many nearby restaurant that you can walk to in Little Italy or the waterfront. Mehr

nice hotel, convenient city location(be mindful of the sidewalk sleepers nearby), nice staff, comfortably clean room, ample parking. there isn't a fridge, microwave, coffee maker or iron in the room, and the bathtub was a bit discouraging...but if u don't mind those things, it's a good choice!

Great price and convenient location. Room was sort of dark inside with little windows, but for sleeping it was great. Working in the darkness was not to my liking.

I stayed at Pacific Inn for the recent convention. It was in a very convenient location, only 2 miles from the convention center. Price was reasonable. Downsides to this hotel (which is really more of a motel) are the train tracks behind with loud train horns at night/ early morning and the general lack of amenties (no business center or computer access.) […] However, the room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and price reasonable. Neighborhood was nice, Food places close. 1 block from the water with lots to see. Close to lots of stuff in SD. Train and trolley 1 block away--cheap transport. Staff was very friendly,nice and helpful. Printed out my departure air-pass for me. Breakfast was great, not ritzie but great. Room clean and well supplied. Needed extra towel and blanket--no […] problem. Price was awesome--I registered way early. Bed was comfortable. AC-HEATER worked great. Recommend to a friend? The people were very nice and very helpful! I wanted a fridge in my room to help save money on food on this trip but I didn't have one in my first room. So she moved me to a different room with a fridge and a microwave! Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the free breakfast and wifi were such a bonus! I'd stay here again!

YES trains, but can't beat the location. Walking distance to Maritime Museum, Seaport Village, Little Italy, and probably a lot of other stuff we just didn't see. Thought I read somewhere that continental breakfast was make-your-own waffles, so was disappointed when it was cereal, bagel, orange, apple, etc. But still, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Stayed at the Pacific Inn for one evening and it wasn't that great of a stay. . . The parking for the place is a bit small, and the parking lot was up an incline, so if you are in any type of sport car, expect it to get scratched going up the hill. The room felt humid, which seemed to be from its proximity to the water, which I guess was okay / expected. There […] were ants crawling around on the counter of bathroom. And after returning from dinner, there was a rather large roach in the shower. We had to get the front desk attendant to come in and dispose of the roach - pretty gross. . . Hotel was advertised to have a hot breakfast with a waffle machine, but when we went down in the morning, they only offered pastries. Only good thing about this hotel, is its location to Little Italy. Mehr

Nice place, Clean rooms, and close to downtown, trolley. The rate I was very happy with. I will stay there again.

The staff were great very helpful, and friendly. If I ever get the chance to come back I would stay here. Only down fall no coffee maker in rooms.

Descent and great if you are on a budget!

We were VERY pleased with the Pacific Inn and Suites in San Diego. We had taken the coaster down in preparation for an EARLY morning flight. Easy walking distance from the Santa Fe depot, two blocks to Little Italy for dinner and close to the airport for a cab ride. The price for all this was unbelievable low.

The location was good for walking tours and driving to/from San Diego. However, hotel is overpriced for room condition and overall maintenance. If you want a quiet nights sleep you might grab a few hours between midnight and 4 a.m., this is when the trains do not run (main line is next to hotel) and the airport is closed.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Hotel. Excellent rates, great location, friendly helpful staff. Included breakfast was OK - loved the fresh fruit. WiFi was good Would have given a slightly higher rating but the staff person (male) on the desk the day I checked out let the team down, by being rude and unhelpful. I would stay here again,.

I could never reccomend this hotel to anyone because it was very noisy. As we walked to our room, we passed several open doors with young kids drinking and belting out obsenities. People were out most of the early morning both nights of our stay, talking very loudly and disturbing other guests. The front desk lady overcharged my card- twice- and was very rude to us about her mistake. The next front desk worker was nicer- but did not know how to program the key card..... the rooms were clean and well sized and the location was good, but don't let those workers at the front desk get a hold of your credit card!

For a downtown San Diego event this hotel is great value. We had an event at the Symphony Hall and this location was great for that.

Great staff - very helpful! Room was exactly as I would expect for the price. Very clean and comfortable. The only disappointment to me was the size of the bathtub in my King room. It was smaller than my too small bathtub at home, and when I am on a business trip, at the end of a very long day, all I can think about is a long hot bath.....I barely fit […] in the tub and took showers the rest of my stay. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable, I had wifi for my itouch and ereader and got enough tv channels to find something to watch. Most of all though, the service and treatment by the staff was excellent! Mehr

good location; breakfast above the average of this kind; the train running nearby will stop around 11:00pm, so not that bad as stated by others.

This hotel is quite simple, but the best part is that it is very clean for an inexpensive room. Trains/trolley are noisy, but that wasn't an issue for us and they don't run very late in the evening. Several restaurants are within walking distance. It was perfect for our short stay.

We stayed here the night before an early flight. We had our two cats with us. No extra pet charge, no hassle getting a reservation. We got our early wakeup call as ordered. We heard one train whistle and no airplanes. Although it was not luxurious, the hotel was clean, convenient, and I would recommend it to others.
