Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.

"Great Downtown Hotel"
we stayed over the Labor Day weekend and really enyoyed the amenities at this hotel and the service is excellent. Our only complaint was the daily charge for Wi-Fi and the Daily parking charges but otherwise we highly recommend this hotel.
"Great hotel and great staff"
The hotel was great and the staff was great as well. I'd highly recommend it. My only issue is that I believe ALL hotels should offer free wi-fi in the rooms. The W has free wi-fi but only in the lobby seating area. It is a realitively large area but free wi-fi should be in the rooms.

"W Hotel Seattle"
I chose W Hotel because of its reputation. Kudos to staff and the proximity of the hotel to important downtown locations. An added benefit was the DJ music on Saturday night. The lack of affordable parking was a challenge. The bath is ample, but the room itself was on the smaller size, although the room contained a built-in window loveseat.

"The W stands for Wonderful"
We often travel to Seattle for a little get-a-way and this time tried the Seattle W. The "W" stands for wonderful, as in wonderful central location right downtown, and wonderful staff. Love their motto "Whatever, Whenever", which means any request, anytime and prompt service. The spectacular King room lived up to it's billing, and very comfortable. […] We'd definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to everyone. Mehr

"Good deal with summer sale pricing"
Got a great room at a reasonable price. Big room and the bed option that we requested was honored. The location was great with easy access to everything we wanted to do downtown. Only a few minor downsides. One, the room was clean and modern, but had some signs of wear. Two, the parking was $40 a night. Luckily our friends had free parking so they took […] the car. Three there was no in-room coffee (in Seattle, really?). But if you can catch it on sale like we did, I highly recommend it! Mehr

the location is ideal, you are at the center of everything in Seattle but the hotel itself is nothing special nor are the rooms. everything in the hotel is wayyy overpriced. again, i would stay if the rate was right but it wont be a destination hotel for me in the future.
"W Hotel Seattle - great location and ambience"
Took the family here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff seemed friendly and our room was roomy and very clean. Overall we'd recommend the hotel and stay there again. We just wish they had a pool/hot tub!
"Great spot for a getaway"
Living in Vancouver, Canada, I (and many of my friends/family members) find Seattle to be an ideal spot for a quick getaway. For my past two visits to Seattle, I've stayed at the W. I love the contemporary look and feel of the hotel - and the comfort of the beds! And I also like the Bliss toiletries. Price is reasonable for what you get. The hotel […] is easy to find coming off the I-5 and is within walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. You can find hotels that are closer to the shopping district and Pike Place Market, but this is still relatively close. There is a bit of a hipster groove to the lounge/lobby area that can get a bit wearing (it seems like every other urban hotel lobby these days). But overall, it's a great experience. Mehr

"W Seattle in Seattle"
Confortable to stay at W Seattle and good location. People who work at hotel were very nice. I would like to mention one point that we felt, little bit noisy when other room's customer talked loudly.
"Beautiful Hotel, Great Service, Walking Distance"
The hotel was amazing and the staff were all really great too. I had to give them a 4 on cleanliness of room simply because housekeeping had missed a nasty looking stain on the walls. Their main point is stated perfectly anytime that you call "Whatever, whenever." They make it very clear that they are there for you which I enjoyed but I just felt like […] it was all out of my price range a bit. The only thing that was 'complimentary' was a free ride to wherever you were going in one of their Acuras. If you've saved a bunch of money or are in an upper income class range then I think it's a fantastic way to stay somewhere and be waited on hand and foot. The rooms are very modern and very comfortable. The staff is extremely polite and respectful. The shower supplies (soap etc) were all from Sephora. Their bathrobes were excellent and they had a decent internet speed (for a price of course)(about 1.5x512 per person which is better than a lot of hotels). The Aquarium is about 4 blocks away and so is the Monorail to the Space Needle/Science museum etc. Mehr

"Love It!"
This hotel is wonderful in every way. Efficient, cheerful, helpful staff. Clean, elegant guest rooms. Prompt service. Great location. The concierge was especially helpful and professional, no matter how hectic the main lobby was. I wish I could live here everyday!
"Staff very accomodating"
The staff, from the desk to the conciege were very accomodating. They even had their car take us to our cruise ship. The hotel is located conveniently to all of downtown.

Really nice hotel. Right in downtown Seattle. Great place to stay before leaving or returning from a cruise. In walking distance to Pikes Public Market and piers. Their restaurant a little pricey but good.

"The W Hotel in Seattle – No Free wifi"
This hotel was great, great location, great room, great toiletries, but the one thing that wasn't great, was that I had to pay a ridiculous amount for 24-hours of wifi. And my question is why would they not just put that into the nightly rate? Who in this day and age is not traveling with a device that requires wireless. "Not the best W"
No one helped with our bags. There was a loofa lying on the floor of our room. The view was of the mechanics of the bldg next door. I suggested a room change & was told that views for 2 bedded rooms were pretty much the same or no better. The one that was available I walked into during cleaning- gorgeous view of Mt Rainier! "Discount Boutique hotel at best"
Broken wireless phone. Broken wired phone but replaced with phone from wrong room so room number label was wrong. Internet is extra in room. Only free in lounge but crappy signal. Room lighting is horrible. Very dark and each light is separately controlled even in this day and age. No toothbrush or paste offered. Hotel rooms and reno is at best a posh […] new motel. Probably due to it's age. Location is great and the service acceptable but still not anything better than 3 star. Mehr
"W Hotel Seattle"
Check in was good...until we got to our room. It was very dirty. The hotel guide was filthy and the bathroom light fixture had dead bugs on it. The shower curtain also had firth on it. I went back down to the lobby to complain and asked for housekeeping to inspect the room. I also asked for a different room. I was told that they were booked and NO other […] room was available. I insisted to speak to the hotel manager, whom was very kind and offered a new room for us in an hour. Housekeeping did come to the room and took a towel from the bathroom, wet it and proceeded to clean the cover of the hotel guide. Turned the towel over and it was filthy. She told us that it was unacceptable and would speak to the housekeeper. An hour and a half later, again, down we went 21 floors and asked for the new room since we were waiting for a call that didn't come in the hour promised. We got the keys and had to move ourselves...We have stayed in several hotels in Seattle and this, by far, was the worst room, service of any of them. If the W is looking for a 4 star rating, they need to improve the quality and cleanliness of the Seattle hotel. And the topper, the valet brought our car up but didn't offer to help me with the luggage. Instead, took our keys and helped another couple to check-in... We waited 10 extra minutes for him to come back to the valet area so we could drive off. I would not recommend this hotel. Our experience in Seattle and lack of attention has discouraged me from trying other W hotels throughout the country. Mehr

"Bartenders Could Use Improvement"
Everything about our stay was great. Room was large, clean, comfortable and had nice design touches. Concierge was very friendly, professional, and attentive, as were lobby staff. Pleased to find a noon checkout and, if you valet your vehicle, they'll allow you to leave it in the lot until 6pm the day you check out. Our only gripe was with the bar […] downstairs. They have a fantastic cocktail list so we stopped in on three occasions during a three day stay. First visit was great. Drinks were perfect and bar staff was friendly. However, on two subsequent visits the drinks were horribly prepared (the same drinks we'd ordered the night before). Obviously there must have been a bartender in training. Of course that sort of thing happens so it didn't bother us too much. BUT what was troublesome was how the bar staff treated another patron who was sitting next to us at the bar. Admittedly she was being difficult and had been complaining about something or other (we don't know what the problem was). But when she paid her bill and left, all three bartenders behind the bar began to make fun of her openly. To make matters worse, they were soon joined by a manager in the mockery. All of this was right in front of us. The whole scene was entirely unprofessional and should never have happened in public. I understand that service staff will always share a laugh over difficult clients but that should be done in private - and never, ever, in front of other patrons. Mehr

Hotel is very comfortable but very DARK. For Seattle you don't really want a dark environment. Room was great and comfortable. Bar was very expensive. 1 double whiskey - well drink and 1 glass of red wine was $37.50. Way too much money. Did not eat there. Can just imagine what the $15.00 pancake breakfast was. The W is in a central part of town with easy access to Pike Place Mkt, Purple Rest., etc. Clean and comfortable. I would stay again. [ parking was a disappointment at $45. a night.]

Loved it! The only thing that could have been easier is parking in the local area. I did use valet, but I would prefer coming in and out on my own so I don't wait all their time :)
"Clean, modern hotel - close to area attractions"
Decent sized room within the downtown area of a city. The elevators were difficult and annoying because you had to insert your key card in order to move. Several elevators didn't work with the room key. The hotel was modern, which might be nice for young travelers but not for mature crowds or those with families since the lobby was small, tight and […] the entire hotel is dark... We could barely find our rooms because the hallway was dimly lit. But the hotel was clean, walkable area, had wonderful Bliss bath products and the concierge was more than helpful. He printed our cruise ship passes when we forgot to at home, kept our luggages so we can walk in the city for the day and hailed a cab for us. Would stay again if I was I in the area. Mehr

"Parking is NOT included"
Overall the hotel itself is very nice. Comfortable beds, clean, decent rooms in a great location in the city. The one thing that should be noted is that the cost of parking is not included. It's an additional $41 a night. Also, the hotel does not reserve a number of spots for guests. Although we were paying guests, we still had to park at another parking […] garage a few blocks up, and they do not make it easy to curb side your vehicle to unload, especially on a busy evening. If you are taking a cab to the hotel then that's great, but plan for parking if you are driving. Mehr

We've always been in love with this hotel, but this time it was a bit different. There were spatterings on the ceiling and clear "wipe" marks where someone had attempted to clean it off - without success. It just didn't seem as clean as it has previously. However, we love the overall feel of the W and the modern look. We noticed the little touches (like […] changing the rugs in the elevator to welcome you to a good morning or evening. "Hotel W in Seattle"
The hotel overall is fantastic. I did think the hallways were too dark. The small amount of light you did get from the blue lights did not make it easy to locate your room. The only other draw back is the windows have blinds not curtains so in the morning it is really light. The location is fantastic. We parked the car at the hotel and were able to […] easily walk to everywhere we wanted to go. "Hotel W Seattle, WA"
The comfort of this hotel is incredible, it was almost impossible to leave the bed. However, outside the hotel there is advertised parking prices for the hotel guests. The sign states $36 a night guest parking, but when it came time to check out we were charged $46 dollars a night. I made a point to check the sign when leaving to confirm that I did […] not misread the sign and $36 is what is advertised. Parking and hotel room-service is gouge worthy. Although the beds are probably the most comfortable that I have ever slept in the prices of the gouging on hotel amenities will keep me from returning to this hotel. Mehr

Located in a spectacular downtown neighborhood, surrounded by great restaurants and midway between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, this hotel exceeded all expectations. Overall the hotel was a pleasant experience. Disappointed that we left behind a pair of shoes in the room which when we checked 1 day later no sign of them were found, and also after utilizing the advertised MDX shuttle service, leaving behind a raincoat in the vehicle, which also was not located, as well as hearing the service co-ordinated at the hotel, […] had nothing to do with the hotel.
