Wingate by Wyndham - Atlanta at Six Flags - Austell

Ok for price, water system is trouble.

It was a great place to stay even though Six Flags was closed. It was great for our college tour and the teens loved it. Especially the hot continental breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and I have to say that it was awesome. The hotel was clean and tidy and so was our room and bathroom, which we are very big on that. Room service was great and very quick we told one of the ladies we needed an extra towel and 3 min later she was knocking on our door with it. The breakfast was great, the only […] down side was that since the hotel is right next to Six Flags on the weekends its filled with teenagers and college students so if you want breakfast on the weekends get there really early we learned that the hard way LOL :-D ! They can get a little loud but nothing bothersome by Sunday morning they were gone. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The fitness room was smaller than expected so we ended up just working out in our room or outdoors. The location of this hotel was awesome it seemed to be about 15min or less away from everything. Overall we loved our stay here and have plans to go back in June of this year. Mehr

Nice hotel. No problems. Walking distance to Six Flags. Good Breakfast buffet, got very busy and it was hard for the guy working it to keep up...not really his fault....everyone just came at the same time. Would Def stay again if going to Six Flags and save the parking fee!

Wonderful hotel! Booked the super 8 online, when we got there we started looking for a different hotel right away & found the Wingate. The pool was open & clean! The wifi was workin! There wasn't any trash in the room! The location of the hotel was safe! Yes, all of those were big concerns at the super 8 near six flags! It was a good hotel. The bed was not that comfortable, but other than that it was a great hotel.

I travel a lot for business. This hotel had the most comfortable bed I've slept in, and a nice lounge area in the room. Overall, it was better than most.

Over all a good stay.The firsrt night the unattended children ran the hotel plying on the elevator and running up and down the halls.The next morrning they played in the breakfast but then they left and the second day it was plesent.Maybe some rules could be placed in veiw so people wouldn't leave there kids unattended.But very close to the park one […] of the nicest hotels in the area.The staff was very nice. Great location. Breakfast was decent.. Will stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff was really nice and accommodating to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was good and it was quiet and safe neighborhood. We could have stayed in the heart of the city but I'm glad I chose quality over quantity. However, it was very affordable too! Will definitely stay here again!

Hotel stay was great. There was only one restaurant in walking distance everything else we had to drive to atleast 3 miles away.

Hotel was great. If u want to go to six flags it's right there. Just a couple mins away walking distance. That's the hotel to choice if needed quiet time during the off season six flags

I really enjoyed my stay,the bed was wonderful

The man at the desk was nice. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was provided with an item I'd forgotten to pack. It was a nice hotel for a not-so-nice hotel price. I was very pleased and would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others.

My family and I stayed for two days at this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful with any questions asked. The breakfast was good and the location was great for our needs. I would gladly stay again if in the area. Cost was budget friendly.

I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and the great service of the staff. Breakfast was great, the refrigerator and microwave were a plus with the great rates. I will consider this hotel in the future.

If values is important to you and you also want to stay just outside the hustle and bustle of a large downtown, this hotel is a great choice during the winter months. It will be a little more chaotic when the Six Flags season returns. Being just off I-20 made access to downtown and other areas a pleasure.

Great deal for the money! Staff was nice and room was clean. The hotel was close to the highway and easy access to shopping and places to eat.

I STAYED THREE NIGHT,FIRST TWO NIGHT PRETTY LAID BACK,GOOD ,THAT LAST NIGHT THE NEXT ROOM SOUND LIKE THEY WAS HAVING A PARTY. IN &OUT DOORS SLAMMING RUNNING HEAR PEOPLE JUMPING, TV, TO LOUD AT 12:30AM CALLED FRONT DESK .THE GUY SAID HE IS COMING UP DONT NO IF HE DID THE DISTURANCE DIDNT CHANGE.

Extremely friendly staff, very clean rooms, nice hotel to spend a few nights in. Very convenient to downtown Atlanta . If you are going to Six Flags, this hotel is within walking distance of the front gates.

Everything was excellent. The breakfast was more than filling, staff was extremely friendly and room clean. Will stay here again for all my Atlanta trips.

I was only staying for one night and wasn't planning on spending much time at the hotel since i was going to be getting there late and leaving early the next morning. I didn't want to pay a lot so I stayed a little outside of atlanta. I thought there would be more stuff around me since it was next to six flags, but there were only two other hotels (which […] were sketchy looking) and no food (besides a wendy's and a couple sketchy buffets). the hotel employees were very friendly and the hotel itself was fine by me. This Wingate hotel is right next to six flags as advertised. If you stay there during the off season, Sept- Feb., the place can be pretty quiet. The rooms and services would be something like a Courtyard by Marriott or Hilton Garden Inn. There isn't any food options, besides Wendy's real close by, so you will have to drive one exit either way to get […] that. Nice, comfortable hotel. Did not like that breakfast was over by 900 am.

Hotel and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good.Nice large rooms. However, beds were small and pillows too fluffy.

I needed to stay in Atlanta and this hotel was 10 minutes from my meeting the following morning. It was a very nice hotel for the money. If you are looking for something close to Six Flags, this is location is within walking distance and would help save that darn parking charge.

Wyndham stands out as one of the best hotels, and I have had nothing but a great experience at others where I have stayed. This hotel however must have borrowed their staff from the local motel for my stay. When I walked in @ 345pm the receptionist was sitting in the lobby on her cell phone. What appeared to be her daughter was in the business center […] playing on the computer. When the football game came on the recepionist and a friend could only be located in the dining area watching the game, while whooping and hollering. My room was an overlook room onto the hotel lobby. That night the staff on duty played music as loud as it could go. After calling down to the desk twice, which no one answered, I had to keep the room fan on high to drown out the sound. This hotel would be great if it can hire a more worthy staff. Mehr

Hotel attendant was friendly and got me checked in within a minute at 11pm. Lobby was nice, open and clean. The room was typical of most hotels in the price range with the room having a King Bed, desk to work from, sitting area, safe, frig, Internet, nice TV and was clean overall. Furniture was all in good condition and up to date. Pillows very comfortable, […] as were the bed and sheets. One complaint and I see it at just about every hotel I stay, no matter what the cost - housekeepers clean the bathroom and someone else's strands of hair always gets pushed into a corner or two. Wingate was no different. Be nice if staff was trained better and management followed through on inspections at all hotels with this regard. I also advised them to get someone to clean out the shower drain trap. Water started to back up in the tub as you shower. Not good, but another common problem I see at alot of hotels. The breakfast area was comfortable and large with a decent assortment of muffins, eggs, biscuits, danishes, cereal, juices, coffees etc. For the price I would go back and recommend. Mehr

Average, clean hotel with friendly staff during the day time. Great wintertime rate through Hotels.com After a weeks stay here, I learned the easy way to get back to the hotel when lost. Ask "Can you direct me to Six Flags over Georgia?" It's only about 500 feet away. Did laundry here - 2 of the 3 washing machines broken but it was off season. This was my second stay at this hotel and will be the one hotel I return to when visiting my family in the area. It's clean, the staff is responsive. They have lots of great facilities (hot tub, fitness room, etc). The room is spacious and clean and even though the area is the best, it's the best hotel in the area an felt very safe.

I stayed during the off-season for the nearby Six Flags, so I don't know what it's like in terms of quiet during the busy season. However, I needed a quiet, comfortable place to sleep and that's what I got. Very satisfied.

This hotel is clean, well-maintaned, and cozy.

We stayed for one night and I can't say nothing bad. We arrived in Atlanta early 11:45 and stoped at the hotel to see if we could check-in. The Front desk man checked us in less than 10 minutes. I've stayed at Wingates by Wyndham all over the Southeast, and this was by far a notch below the rest. Most disappointing was the breakfast, which had very, very limited choices compared to other Wingates (no yogurt, no oatmeal, no grits packets, no hot chocolate packets, a host of bad apples for consumption, and etc.). They did not have a roll-away […] bed the first night, and my son had to sleep on the floor. If I had been the management, I would have tried to make up for that inconvenience by comp'ing the $10 fee for the roll-away bed for the 2nd night, but that was not considered. The cleaning staff knocked on the door several times in the morning, although we were leaving at 11am for the day, and would be returning late that night. The pretty loud heating unit in our room cycled off and on all night long, which was quite annoying to my family. While it was cool to see idled Six Flag rollercoasters (park is closed in the winter) right outside, the general neighborhood had us conncerned about the security of things that we had in the car. On the positive side, the hot tub was great, and the staff was very courteous. Mehr

Great time to visit was not very expensive and not a whole lot of people, and very clean.
