Golden Park Hotel - Budapest

Nach westlichem Standard entspräche das Hotel aus meiner Sicht einem 3 Sterne- Plus Hotel.

ganz nett sehr profi-hafte mitarbeiter eiznge problem für mich als gast sehr lauter bus touristen aus der schweiz , italien und österreich aber sauber und in der nähe von vieles

Das Hotel wird der Klassifizierung von 4 Sternen in keinster Weise gerecht. Zimmer sind sehr klein aber sauber. Das Frühstück entspricht nicht der in dieser Klasse üblichen Qualität. Billiger Orangensaft, kalte Rühreier. Das Hotel beherbergte bei meinem Aufenthalt sehr vielen Jugendgruppen was insgesamt nicht unangenehm ist aber einen sehr hohen Geräuschpegel […] beinhaltet. Insbesondere wenn es sich um einen Geschäftsreise mit morgenlichen Meetings handelt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr korrekt, Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig. Freundliche Rezeption. Würde das Hotel jedoch eher in 3-Sterne eingeteilt haben.

Wir waren im Großen und Ganzen mit allem sehr zufrieden.

I cannot believe it is a 4 stars hotel. The room is small....... No! The room is tiny, include the wc. The breakfast is not qualified as a 4 stars hotel in my experiences. The elevator are small, too. The only good point is the location, although you have to take about three stop by subway to get the city center of Budapest I will not stay again.

The hotel was clean, had an ok location and was good for the price..room was small and breakfast was not much but the people were nice, would stay there again..

This hotel was excellent value for money. The room was small but very clean and adequate, there was a good choice for breakfast and no limits, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was obviously a popular choice for school trips, which didn't really bother us but we found it was better to go for breakfast early before it got too crowded. Ideally situated for ease of travel by public transport and arrival or departure from Budapest Deli rail station. Efficient and friendly receptionist able to converse easily in English and provide city maps and travel advice. Clean, comfortable, with good breakfast.

For a 4 star hotel I was expected better than what we found. Location was good. It was just alright but should have rated 3 star.

Location could not be better if you are arriving from the Keleti train station, as it is right across the street in plain sight. Great price for the hotel room. Location isn't the greatest in the world, but that's not the biggest issue. If you know how use public transportation, that too is right nearby. A major tourist 'hop on hop off' bus stop is […] just down the street. Really couldn't ask for more. Mehr

First, the room assigned to me was not as shown in the picture. I was given the smallest room in the hotel. The female day shift manager was very rude and not helpful. I waited until the evening manager arrived and was easily able to change to a larger room, much like the advertising photo. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful and […] attentive. Location is too far from down town where the sights were. Fair value for the money but would pay more to be closer to the sights. Mehr

This is an extremely good value for money hotel offering clean and up to date facilities for any type of traveller. Just across the road from one of the main railway stations and not too far from the main tourist areas, down by the rive,r which if a pleasant stroll was not wanted then the area was served by many buses and of the course the metro/subway […] trains. The courteous helpful and knowledgeable staff added enormously to my stay and provided an experince which I hope to repeat very shortly. Mehr

Very helpful staff, 2 minutes walk from Metro, neat & tidy and quiet at night.

Nice staff but my room was tiny even by Euro standards. It is good location as long as you rely on the Metro rite outside. Good for 3 star if the price was right.

We chose this hotel because its supposed to have free parking.. It does NOT.. There ARE 2 small areas near the hotel where it is possible to park for free.. And we did find a space.. But it is not secure and not guaranteed to find a space.. BUT finding a hotel in central Budapest with parking is probably asking too much !! This hotel is opposite a main […] station so it has a metro, trams and of course trains.. Big construction site opposite but no construction noise.. Hotel VERY nice inside, our room was immaculate. Free wifi at reception and popular bar area good to hang out in. Staff very good. Intelligent, cheerful and helpful.. Generally very good but given that we only chose it for parking that was at best 'hit and miss' we'd probably not chose this hotel again and favour somewhere a bit more central.. Mehr

Simple hotel definetly not four star but didnt pay that price either through hotel.com. The room was tiny and cramped but both bathroom and bedroom were clean. Cant ask for more!!! Its a nice convinient lively area too. Right near by are cheap fastfood joints to eat in so it was nice. Also closeby are supermarkets.

Not the greatest room the world considering it is supposed to be a five star hotel but very close to the train station.

I was really disappointed with this hotel. I don't know how they categorise this hotel as a four-star hotel. The only star factor was the price of the room and the breakfast which is 11 euros/person/day - both exorbitant compared to the prices in Hungary (1 Euro= 266 HUF). The location is right next to the station and is the only likeable part. The […] areas besides the bed is so narrow that you will have to jump over the bed from the foot end side. A small table and two chairs are provided. Dressing mirror suitable for bathrooms, such is the size. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The room we were provided were at the back of the hotel and the only view is the windows of the other rooms - very depressing. Regarding staff behaviour there was hardly any interaction between me and them, so its difficult to comment. They would take down your credit card details thinking that you may run away after consuming from the mini-bar. Such are the hotel policies - very insulting that there was no trust between the boarders and the hotel management. The room was shabbily decorated and lighting was so inadequate that you are bound to have a headache if you are not blind. The bathroom was big compared to European standards (which I find very funny, that even the five-stars are skimpy on their bathroom sizes), and in our case the tap over the basin didn't function and no steps were taken after complaints. The lobby is always teeming with people and in order to have a conversation, it is not the right place. There are better choices out there. Mehr

This was my second time at the Golden Park Hotel in 3 years. I returned due to the convenient location, and this time the room I got was much nicer than the first time. However, the bathroom still had draining problems (last time the shower, now the sink). The color of the towels was questionable, the once white towels were off-white and worn. Staff […] was friendly and accommodating, and spoke English. They even thanked me for returning when they found out I've been a guest before. It's a good hotel to be used as a base camp for exploring Budapest, but probably not 4* as per North-American standards. The posted prices for rooms if you just walk into the hotel are very high, higher than some 5* hotels I've stayed at. The neighbourhood gets noisy in the evening, and due to the hotel's proximity to the train station, there are all kinds of people in the area. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic occasion, but if it's just a place to put your head down and you book it on-line, it is worth the money. Mehr

Conveniently located directly across the street from Keleti train station, this hotel is a perfect choice for travelers in transit (as I was). I got off my train in the evening, walked across the street to Golden Park Hotel, made a reservation for the airport shuttle, had a great night's sleep, and was off to the airport the next morning -- all without […] having to drag my luggage around the city. The hotel was very busy with young tourists from around the world which gave the feeling of a hostel than a hotel. I was not expecting that from the description. It was a little dirty as well.

Excellent location for those not into late night party coz it's 30 min walk from town. 3 station apart. Room is clean and nothin more important that cleanliness. Tumbs up for this hotel. Nearby food? Not far about 600m a BIG shopping centre. Arena! Will stay same place if revisit Budapest.

I spent a long weekend in Budapest visiting a friend and sightseeing. The Golden Park is right across from the main station and close to the Arena shopping mall. The sightseeing bus stops a few metres away. The staff were very friendly took care of a couple of things in my room immediately (batteries needed changing in safe, remote was missing for TV). […] The room was small, but very clean and the bathroom was spotless. My non smoking room faced the back and was therefore very quiet. There are enough restaurants and take away places around. Although I would not say it is a 4 star, maybe 3+, I would certainly recommend this hotel for convenience and quality. Mehr

Great place to stay

I would rate the hotel a 2.5 to 3 star based on the condition of the hotel. It is a very worn hotel in need of a remodel. It is right across the street from the central station. For a quick 1 night stay it will meet your needs. For a long stay for sight seeing and vacation... I would not recommend.

Good location, near the keleti train station, the room size and amenities are not quite the 4 stars hotel standard. The other plus point is the location is near to the Arena shopping malls, so it good location if malls shoppings are preferred. Breakfast buffer is not replenished, so make sure you be there around 8 am to have something to eat.

Hotellet lå meget sentralt til med kort vei til trikk, metro og jernbanest. Gangavst. til handlegater. Servicen på hotellet var bra.

Ik moet dichtbij het staion zijn, en dit hotel voldoet zeker aan die eis. Maar de buurt van het station is niet de beste buurt in Budapest en het hotel heeft betere dagen gekend. De stoel bij het buro zakte in elkaar en op de muur zaten vieze vegen. Het personeel was behulpzaam en sprak goed Engels.

Hotelli toimi kokonaisuudessaan hyvin. Ainoa miinus oli 6.kerroksen huoneen tupakan haju ja erittäin epäsiisti kokolattiamatto. Hotellia voi suositella muuten lämpimästi.

Hotellets läge var bra eftersom det låg nära tåg-, metro- och bussstation så att man enkelt kunde ta sig dit man ville. Ett jättestort shoppingcenter låg på 10 min gångväg. Hotellet var väldigt lyhört ut till korridoren, man hörde alla knackningar på andras dörrar mm. Rummen var rena men hade heltäckningsmattor. Till frukosten fanns en hel del att välja […] på. Hotelli oli kokonaisuutena hyvää perustasoa: siisti, henkilökunta avulias. Metroaseman sisäänkäynti on suoraan hotellin oven edessä (10 metriä), joten liikkuminen on helppoa. Toisaalta hotellin edessä kulkee vilkas tie, josta kantautui jonkin verran ääntä huoneeseen. Aamiainen ei aivan vastannut hotellin muuta tasoa. Huone ei ollut kovin suuri mutta […] aivan riittävä kuitenkin. Huoneessa oli kiva pieni parveke. Siistijät tekivät hyvää työtä ja jopa viikkasivat pyjamat aina tyynyn päälle. Mehr

Huono sijainti, kaukana keskustassa (3 km) ns. huonolla alueella. Huono aamupala, ilmastointi ei toiminut, kylmät lattiat kylpyhuoneessa. Tosi pieni huone, siivouksessa ei vaihdettu lakanoita ollenkaan, olimme samoilla lakanoilla koko viikon. Nous avons réserves une chambre avec petit déj : Surpriss: petit déjeunée est 11€ par presonne !!?? Pour un hotel de cette categorie c’est trop. Eau minérale soit disent offerte, on as payes ; 700 uft = 2,5 € Réceptionniste très arrogant !! Il faut être préparé pour ces désagréments. C’est notre Europe  Silvester

Det var som hoteller er i et østland - godt nok for deres standard, men lidt misvisende at det har 4 stjerner i forhold til vores standard!
