Crowne Plaza London - Docklands - London

Das Hotel befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Messestandorts EcCeL und ist vom City Airport schnell erreichbar. es ist sauber, modern, das Personal war angenehm. Einziger störender Punkt war, dass für kleinste Dienstleistungen, wie z.B. ein Internetzugang über das in der Hotellobby vorhandene WLAN oder das Netzwerkkabel im Zimmer ein meines Erachtens […] ziemlich überrissener Preis verlangt wird (8£/Tag), auch bei bloss kurzzeitiger Nutzung. In einem Hotel dieser Kategorie sollte das meines Erachtens inbegriffen sein. Dieselbe Preispolitik galt scheinbar auch für andere Extras, zu diesen kann ich aber nicht viel sagen, da ich sie nicht benötigte. Mehr

Wir verbrachten mit unserer Familie ein verlängertes Wochenende (3 Nächte) im Crown Plaza und waren sowohl vom Preis als auch den Annehmlichkeiten dieses Hotels sehr überrascht. Hallenbad und Sauna boten täglich einen angenehmen Ausklang nach langen Site-Seeing Touren. Die Zimmer waren geräumig, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet […] übertraf unsere Erwartungen und war aussergewöhnlich gut für London. Einzige Einschränkung: Hotel liegt nicht zentral dafür aber sehr ruhig und ist leicht mit der Dockland-Railway zu erreichen (Haltestelle ums Eck). Faszit: Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen. Good if you need to be at Excel Center. Far from Central London.

Breakfast - the quality of the food very poor it was left standing too long under heat lamps quite unedible. Evening bar - no atmosphere dull and staff not attentive or helpful could not get a snack at 11.00pm at bar. Not what is usual from other crown plaza that I have stayed in America and China. Nice hotel with nice staf and great location if you need to stay near ExCel. Good buffé breakfast and good food.

Apparently it used to be a Holiday Inn that they re-branded as Crowne Plaza. This means it's not as good as expected, and has a feeling of an old hotel. I guess I would expect to pay considerably less for such room. However, in a overall, the hotel is fine. Location is on public trans which is good and staff it helpful.

A really nice Hotel, and lovely staff. we got an free up grade and a late checkout. the rooms were very clean and tidy and the beds super comfy. the swimming pool was amazing. The only down side was the breakfast was over priced even a member of staff told us to go else where. so we used the local shop which is next door or the excel is a 5/10 min walk […] away. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again :) Mehr

it was nice to stay at the hotel. it was pleasant and the staff were friendly. the spa place is very good to use and was open until later. i think we went when it was quiet, other wise could have been quite crowded. apart from that, it was good. you have to pay for parking unfortunately, but over all, i would stay again

Room was nice once I was able to get to it! Waited 25mins to be checked in as only one person on reception. Booked a double bed but was given a twin room without being informed. When we questioned we were told that was all that was available and basically we are lucky to have a room as it is a busy period! I was however offered an upgrade to a better […] room that had a double bed, only problem was that I would have to pay almost the same amount again to upgrade-apparently they could not do this for free as it was against policy! All staff we encountered were either unfriendly or unhelpful or both! Plus the gym and swimming pool were both unavailable due to maintainance and surprise surprise we were not informed of this before checking in either! Avoid if possible! Mehr

We loved the room, housekeeping always kept the room clean and comfortable. On the negative side of things the internet was very slow, difficult to use and at a flat rate of £5.99 very overpriced. But by far the worst quality of this hotel is it's reception staff, on three separate occasions (the only times we visited reception) we were left standing […] without service for at least 10 minutes. On one of these occasions the concierge was on a mobile phone without acknowledging us, which we found very rude. On the weekend we were in London the DLR was unavailable however the reception staff did not make us aware of this and did not give us information of where to go to make it into London city centre. When we asked how to get to the West End the receptionist had to look it up on the internet and said which tube station, he thought, was closest to the West End. This left us with little confidence as to the value of his directions. Mehr

We were returning to the US from City London Airport, and this hotel was 10 minutes from the airport. We choose it because we didn't want to buck London traffic from a more central location to make our flight on time. I would only stay here if I had business or a flight from City London. It was a perfectly nice hotel....and "American style" at that, […] but it's very much out of the way. There is a tube stop somewhat nearby, but its a very long ride on the District line, and that line didn't run during the Wedding double bank holiday this May. So it would have been difficult to get to central London without spending a fortune on taxis if you stayed here and wanted to go into the central part of London. As it was, it was perfect for an overnight before our early flight home from City London airport. Mehr

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Docklands because we were attending the Beauty show at Excel. Literally next door and just one DLR stop. we had a triple room and was plenty big enough even with the sofa bed made up for the 3rd person. Bed VERY comfy ! This is a nice hotel, but not in the most reachable area. A few things let this hotel down. 1) Complimentary shuttle seems to just be ploy, when we tried to use this service we only got voicemail or no answer, in the end we had to take a taxi to the hotel. Fortunately the hotel understood and reimbursed the cost of the taxi and said would investigate […] the issue 2) Breakfast offer - the desk clerk offered us their current breakfast offer, i.e. 2 for 1, but was not very articulate about the price, even after clarification. On checking out we found it was much more than we had anticipated. It would have helped if this was stated as part of the offer and not pronounced verbally. Mehr

Stayed here with my two children, hotel was more than we expected and the pool was great. Rooms are immaculate, beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were scrumptious but very expensive at 17.95, thankfully the childrens were free. Behind the hotel is the Royal Victoria station and with all day travel at £5 per adult and £2 per child, it was a low cost […] convenient option for travelling around london. However i think i would opt for a more central hotel in future. All in all though, a great place to stay. Mehr

This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff, the O2 is really near so ideal for a concert. There is not much around it though for going out or shopping only the hotel restaurant bar which is expensive.

Situated far away from city centre. Had to take Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and switch to Jubilee line (Underground) in order to get to the centre of London. The DLR-station Royal Victoria is just five minutes away from the hotel, which is good. But there's no staff on the station which means you can't get any assistance if there's any problem. Me, […] myself had some trouble getting the right ticket from the machine, which ended up with me paying 7,30 pounds for nothing. A cab ride would cost 25-35 pounds according to the concierge of the hotel. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, but I'm not very content with the fact that all the health-facilities were under some sort of construction, and we didn't get any compensation for that. What's the point of paying a little extra for a 4-star hotel if you can't use the extra facilities like the gym or swimmingpool? The next time I'm going to London I'm booking a hotel that's situated closer to the city centre. Mehr

A group of people had a big noisy party in the salon on the 1st floor. Impossible to have a nice time at the bar. Very slow people in the reception, terrible food, far away from everything, nothing to eat around. The worst choice we could have made in our visit to London, what a waste of money =(

Hotellet er lækkert med dejligt store værelser. Vores væres havde en fantastik udsigt udover vandet. God betejning og restuaranten kan klart anbefales. Dog kunne der godt være mere fokus fra morgenmadsbetjeningen mht om man har kaffe/the det skulle man bede om flere gange.

cet hotel est assez moyen pour un "4 étoiles " : nous nous attendions à moins de bruit , plus d'espace dans la chambre (et non un canapé déplié pour les enfants collé au grand lit !!) et le parking gratuit cependant le petit déjeuner était copieux .
