Der Mann hinter der Theke ist schon ein verschrobener Vogel, aber das Zimmer war vollkommen okay und die Lage dank vorhandener Light Rail sehr angenehm.

Ausreichend gross, Parkplatz vorh., Klima funktioniert also alles in allem für eine Nacht o.k., sind ein paar gute Mexikaner in der Nähe sonst aber auch nichts, frühstück typisch amerikanisch schlecht

The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent, the furniture and matress needs to be upgraded. The location was excellent which is very close to Sea World and San Diego Zoo.

Very satisfied, just a walk away from my destination.. friendly personnel, and helpful. Well maintain premises, and clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay...

I loved that it was just down the street from the trolley station and there were several restaurants within walking distance, too. The beds and bedding weren't very comfortable, which is why I gave the "room comfort" a lower rating. But overall, for the price and location, I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel will work if you plan for 1 overnight stay because the beds were very uncomfortable. Now I understand that they are going through a renovation so I should have asked for a remodeled room maybe that would have been better. The hotel is old but clean. The staff is very nice. Loved being able to walk to shops and dinning. Thank you to the staff member at the front desk who offered extra towels.

We were very happy we selected this hotel. We felt safe and surprisingly quiet. The complimentary breakfast was ample. The staff helpful. Our nerves intact as driving was not a problem for our desired destinations. We might suggest a microwave in the room as would have enjoyed a warm drink. Overall happy for the experience.

Nice continental breakfast each morning and staff is quite friendly and interested in making your stay pleasant. Inn is located w/in 1 mi of frwy off ramp, which was great. We arrived, parked and never drove our car until we checked out. Located 1/2 block from Old Town, several restaurants, shopping and trolly tour, which is perfect for sight seeing […] a lot of places, in a short time, without the drive. Hop off and back on where and when you want. Because of the Inn's convenience, we would definitely re-book!! Mehr

I arrived at the room late in the day and when I turned over the blanket on the bed, there was a little red ant, then a few minuntes later another on the pillow. I was too tired to complain so I slept with the ants. The next morning there was one on the toilet paper and a few on the floor. glad i was there only one night. You get what you pay for I […] guess. Older facility, but well maintained. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and courteous staff. Safe surroundings and nearby downtown and Mission Bay attractions.

Great budget hotel across the street from Old Town San Diego. We would definitely stay there again but have to bring our own soap and shampoo since they were not provided by the hotel.

We were very happy there and would recommend it to all. It is close to a lot of things. Everyone there was very friendly. I will stay there again someday...

Overall excellent and clean rooms. Dont have too much expectation fot breakfast, it has 3 items to choose... Given choice is to skip breakfast.

Hotel was in a convient location, right across from old town San Diego. Good mexican resturant across the street. Room was clean, exactly what I expected. Staff was polite and helpful. Great if you just need a place to sleep.

Hotel was clean, convenient, and cheap. You can tell that the people actually try, and get the most out of what they have to work with.

The first night we were there some people had a party in the parking lot until late after calling the front desk and asking them to handle it, which didn't happen another guest convinced them to turn down the music. The shower was very low had to duck down and I am 5'4. Bed was hard and left my back sore.

I was very disappointed in the hotel, on the hotel description it stated "The 100 air conditioned rooms" once we got checked in the room was very stuffy and uncomfortable. I tried to turn the A/C on and no cold air was coming out, so I went to the front desk to notify them. I was told "the A/C is only seasonal here is a fan and open the door" the fan […] was an 8" fan, not to mention I am a single mother of 2 young girls I am not going to open my door and leave it open. I pulled up the hotel description and went back to the office let's just say they didn't care. I would have never booked there if I had known, I will not be staying there again and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

THE MAIDS WERE THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE THERE. THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB AND OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN. ON THE OTHER HAND THE FRONT DESK OFFERED US SEA WORLD TICKETS AT A DISCOUNTED RATE, BUT WHEN WE GOT TO SEA WORLD THE TICKETS WERE EXPIRED AND WE ENDED UP STANDING AT THE CHECK IN GATE FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR WHILE THEY TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. SO WE […] WASTED AT LEAST AN HOUR WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN SPENT IN THE PARK. WHEN MY HUSBAND NOTIFIED THE MANAGEMENT THEY SIMPLY APOLOGIZED AND OFFERED NO TYPE OF COMP IN ANY WAY. I GUESS THEY DON'T REALIZE HOW INCONVENIENT IT WAS FOR US SINCE IT WAS OUR VERY FIRST VACATION AND TRIP TO SAN DIEGO WHERE EVERY MINUTE WE HAD COUNTED. NOT TO MENTION TRYING TO ENTERTAIN FOUR CHILDREN WANTING TO GO INTO THE PARK BUT HAVING TO WAIT WHILE OTHERS PASSED US AND WENT IN. Mehr

Overall the location was good and the front desk staff were extremely courteous, but the hotel seemed to be in need of a little maintenance. The bathroom door would not close all the way and the shower temperature fluctuated pretty drastically between very hot and freezing. We were very happy with yhe hotel. we stayed here prior to flying home. walked over to old town for dinner. Rooms were old but clean.

This is not a bad place. There were ants in the restroom and the toilet is good for people under 11 years old (very small), but overall, if you are tight on money, it's not a bad place. I have stayed here before and the previous room I had was much better than this one (same size toilet though). Nice little motel that is very close to Old Town San Diego. Inexpensive and clean rooms. not too noisey. A good place to stay for the money. Very limited breakfast but certainly OK.

I found this motel from hotel.com. It is the one of, if not the, cheapest I can found. I did not expect much. But, Immediately getting into the room, I was surprised for the cleanliness and tidiness. The furniture are also in very nice condition. It is one of many hotels surround the freeway 8 in old town. But luckily, the Taylor street turns south […] at the end. So this hotel enjoys the convenience of the freeway, but do not inherit the noise from the freeway Hotel staffs are polite and friendly. They also provide free breakfast. There is also a breakfast menu, if you would like to pay. There is one issue, though. I have trouble falling into sleep at the first night. It may have nothing to do with the hotel. Mehr

The location is perfect. There's a trolley a block away and Old Town is central to San Diego. The decor, rooms, lounge, restaurant- everything is outdated. The staff is warm and the cold continental breakfast hits the spot. My 4 year old and 2 year old loved having breakfast in the restaurant though I saw it as slow. I find this hotel great for the price, very big rooms that whist were a bit dated were very clean, loads of parking and very helpful check in staff. Location is great for the old town (1 min walk) much better then staying on the hotel ring down the road 9/10

This is an older property, but is well kept. It was clean, comfortable, and had no odd odors, and was properly serviced every day. I admit, I cheat, and always leave a tip for the maids...it's a job I wouldn't want. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was miniscule, but I am larger than most folks. I only had breakfast one day, BUT it was a decent meal for a reasonable price. There are other options within a short driving distance, and Old Town is literally across the street for dinner. Friendly staff, however the wireless internet was so inconsistent as to be unreliable even in the lobby. I'm on vacation, but still need to keep up with business. Otherwise, low cost meets basic needs. Nothing special.

Ok, so the the hotel was nice, older rustic style hotel. Service was a little rude and impersonal. Consierge did not want to give us extra towels for the pool, thanks buddy. This is an older motel that is close to everything. It is walking distance to Old Town, the Old Town Transit Center (with the San Diego Trolley, Coaster, and Pacific Surfliner commuter trains). It is within a couple miles of Downtown, Mission Bay, San Diego Bay, Sea World, and Balboa Park. I have easily and safely biked from the motel to most of the […] interesting spots. There is a Target and Fashion Mall shopping center not far away. There is not much street noise, but thin walls allow some neighbor noise through. Bring ear plugs, just in case. It is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room design is a bit odd with a tiny bathroom counter and a giant closet which contains the fridge, microwave and hair dryer. we stayed 2 nites 02/17/12. The room was clean,the beds were soft and we walked the neighborhood. (at night).we asked for extra towels ,we got them,we asked for a roll away,we got it.the breakfast was what to be expected.cold cereal,fruit muffins,and juice.seaworld is like 5 minutes away. they get 5 stars from us.GREAT JOB

Stayed at the hotel for two nights. I had a Clean and comfortable room. Close to beaches and attractions. Had a great time in San Diego.

I got in late and tired and they upgraded me to a deluxe room with jacuzzi at no charge. The bed was huge and the bath relaxing. Best sleep I've had in a long time! Would definitely return would definitely recommend.

Old Town, Hodads, Theatres, etc are within minutes away

Extremely close to all the sights of Old Town, within walking distance. Clean room, good service, would definitely recommend it for the price!

the hotel doesnt have an AC during the winter, so its stiffling hot, or frigid if you open a window. The service is horrible. The lady at the front desk had a terrible attitude. I left earlier because someone entered my room and took a couple of nice shirts I had in my closet. Management was no help. The people staying at the hotel are pretty "rough" […] they drink at the staircases and get loud. This place needs to be torn down and remodeled because the location is great. Mehr
