Quality Inn Creekside - Gatlinburg

super gelegen, Eingang zum NP Great Smoky Mountains ca. 500 m entfernt, Hotel gleich an der Hauptstraße, wo alle Restaurants, Shops und Seilbahn und die Gondel sind, man brauch abend kein Auto, alles zu Fuß erreichbar, im Zentrum. Aufenthalt im Sept. 2011

Did not stay long enough to really evaluate all areas of location. Did not like the distance from room to ice machine. There is only one way into the parking area and is the same way to exit, only thinking about emergency if people had to leave or was blocked in.

when you walk about 1/2 city block to strip try the itialian resturant immidiately on right. $2.50 bloody mary and 8.00 burger is great deal. Good breakfast provided by hotel is a must.

Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and all the attractions. Courteous and helpful staff. The room was comfortable, and included a microwave, refrigerator, safe and free wi-fi. Adequate parking on the premises.

The room was OLD and the furnance was LOUD and kept switching off and on about every 5 minutes. We could not sleep and was glad when the stay was over. I will not stay there again.

There was mold above the molding on bathroom floor, sunflower seeds on the floor when we arrived. The breakfast was less than adequate.

Everything was great except we had to call upon check-in to get the sinks fixed. The drain plugs wouldn't work so the sinks couldn't drain. It was taken care of within 30 minutes. When we took our showers in the morning, the tub drained extremely slow, almost not at all. I would stay there again.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It shows it's age a little, but most of the hotels in downtown Gatlinburg do. The staff was friendly and helpful and I couldn't have asked for better. Parking was a nightmare. I drove an extended cab long bed truck and spent 1/2 hour getting parked on night. That's the nature of downtown Gatlinburg, though. if your looking for a clean room thats walking distance to main street but tucked up in the back where its quiet, this is the place for you...We however stayed up next to the big condos.and no one told up that there was an elevator down to the main road, so the climb up the hill was quite a treck but, the next day when we found the elevator we had a […] good laugh and considered that was our exercise for the trip...not 5 stars but clean and quiet..carpets are a little worn but we dont sleep on them.... Upon arrival at the Quality Inn, my husband and I requested a second level room in order to have a better view of the mountains. The hotel staff gladly obliged. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself sits right off the end of the main strip with several nearby restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere. Thanks for a great stay! Our room was not near creek, although that wasnt really an issue. Overall, was pleased with room, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. Location was also nice, not on street, so was away from street noise, yet was close to many nice restaurants, and activities. I would certainly stay here again.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, but the overall appearance is slightly run down, and the breakfast was meager. The rooms were spacious and decent, but the bathtubs could use a refinishing. Mine was old and cracked and appear stained and dirty, though they were clean. The "balcony over the creek" is actually a creek that runs through the parking […] lot, so really it's a balcony over the parking lot. We had a great stay at Quality Inn Creekside in the upper level portion. Was convenient to walk to Gatlinburg and room was very clean. We sleep in on vacations, so the cleaning staff left clean towels on the door for us so we didnt' have to ask for them. This was a first for us. Thanks, Quality Inn. You thought of everything for us. We'll be back.

The Hotel is dated but clean. I have never had a room so well cleaned and stocked each day! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size. The bathroom was very small with little storage but there was a lot of storage space in the room overall. The breakfast was exactly the same every morning.... HORRIBLE coffee, eggs, biscuits, […] gravy, yogurt, apples and two cereals. It has a great location to everything in gatlinburg. Close walk and if you want to take the trolley the is a stop at the end of the hotel's driveway. Overall, it was not perfect but the benefits for the pice made it worth it for us. Mehr

We were on our way home from a week vacation with the entire family and did not want to go home just yet so we stopped off in Gatlinburg. After hours of searching and reading reviews, we found this hotel, crossed our fingers, and booked it. We were extremely pleased with the location of the hotel! After reading the review regarding the upper building, […] we requested the same when checking in and got one up there. It is the one between the two condo buildings. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a balcony off the back of the room. We were walking distance from everything and never got back in our car until we left the next day. Only good stuff staying in this hotel is great location. Room had bugs & mosquitos. They did not clean the bed & room properly after the earlier guest check-out. Hairs were on bed. I do not know they have washed bed sheet or not. This is the worst hotel i have stayed in Gatlinburg location. Staffs are friendly..Breakfast is ok.. This hotel was wonderful. There is the creek running through the parking lot which was wonderful! It was located in a greal location, with a trolley stop at the end of the driveway. We never used our car the whole vacation. There are many great shops close and by one set was even a bluegrass band which could be heard outside the rooms. Room was alright but dated. Needs remodeled> My biggest was upon checking in the clerk offered a room just like the one i was getting for less because they were a walk in so much for reservations

This hotel is overall nice. The front desk manager was nice. The restroom in the lobby needs some work though. Cleaning staff is hispanic and doesn't understand english. But the bed was comfortable and heater worked. The bad note was the black hairs that I found on the sheets when turning it down to sleep!

We arrived at 8:30 PM, and after waiting a few minutes for the front desk clerk to show up, we got checked in just fine. The 2nd floor room was larger than average, with a gas fireplace (didn't need it during this July visit), and a balcony overlooking the pool and a nice mountain creek that flows through the property. The hotel shows it's age in many […] areas, but nothing too bad. The beds were true queen size and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom is pretty small, but a second sink is provided outside the bathroom area itself. One pet peeve: the shower water pressure was quite low -- I was tempted to wash my hair in the rushing stream outside. The maid service was, frankly, pretty casual. Only one of the two wastebaskets was emptied during our entire four night stay! My wife is pretty particular about room cleanliness, and was not impressed by their apparent failure to rinse the tub and wipe down all surfaces. The free breakfast was Ok. Menu items included biscuits and gravy, two types of cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast, coffee, and that same weird orange & apple juice dispenser used at almost all free hotel breakfasts. They also had Krispy Kreme doughnuts each day, which were a highlight, though they were served at room temperature. On a couple of mornings they also had mini-muffins, and something we called "egg squares", which was some kind of prefab scrambled egg thingy. The parking garage mentioned in other reviews can be daunting, but it's not the only parking available. The easier open parking filled up more quickly on the weekends, though. The hotel was quiet, even though you're just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg's main drag. You are within easy walking distance of every T-shirt shop, fudge counter, pancake house, and Ripley attraction in town. You're also only about a block or two from the entrance to Great Smokey Mountains National Park when you're ready to get away from all that other stuff. Overall, the hotel was accept Mehr

Front desk check-in friendly and efficient, room was older but appeared clean. The balcony was run down, chipping paint, handrail was not secure. Was satisfactory for only one night's stay. Location was at beginning of parkway strip, I thought it would be more central, however still within walking distance to attractions.

Perfect location in town, within walking distance to everything. You can tell that hotel has been there for awhile, but overall not a bad place to stay. A/C units are pretty loud.

The hotel was a good deal for what we wanted on our first trip to Gatlinburg. We used our car very little the first two days, as the hotel was close to everything in Gatlinburg. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and the people were very nice. A surprise was that the pool was heated, which we liked (even in the summer.)

Hotel location and staff were excellent!! We could easily walk down the street at night to enjoy Gatlinburg's night life. The office staff was very nice and curtious. Any questions were addressed and resolved quickly by any of the staff as well. A hot breakfast was nice too. Better than the typical bagels and toast. They had hot gravy and biscuts with […] eggs - great for setting out for a day in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. The hotel is a bit older, but overall kept very clean and met our needs. Great hotel for the price - well situated so you do not need a car for town. Staff friendly and pleasant - only pity is breakfast ends at 9.30 on Sunday which is a little early. Loved it

When arriving at the motel office, I was a bit concerned at the condition of the rooms/office area. We were then instructed that they were only the check in area and were told to go to next drive for our room. It was wonderful. Very nice inside and out. Had secure enterway with key only access. Hotel is in disrepair and the room was dirty. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the hotel did not meet our expectation.

On June 17th I booked a hotel room at the Quality Inn Creekside through Hotels.com, my credit card was charged for the room the very same day. I was told by Hotels.com that I would have to present my credit card to the staff at creekside upon arrival to validate my identity. I checked into Creekside on June 19th and was asked to present my credit card, […] which I did. I was not told that any other charges were going to be placed on my card at this time. After a one night say at in the room, I checked out of the hotel on the 20th of June. When I got home, I checked my bank account and realized that Quality Inn had charged me for my room again, which caused my account to overdraft, resulting in 245 dollars of overdraft fees. When I contacted the hotel about their error, they confirmed that it was a mistake and that they would refund me for the double charge but refused to pay my overdraft fees. I spoke to Vincent, the general manager of the hotel who was extremely rude, and even hung up the phone on me when I inquired about the overdraft. When I called back, I spoke to Ed the Director of sales and marketing who told me that this error was my fault because I should have known better than to give them my credit card when they asked for it. Both these employees were very rude and tried to place the blame on me. My account would not have been overdrawn if I hadn't been double charged for the room. These overdraft fees are the responsibility of the Quality Inn hotel, but they refuse correct their mistake. The unwillingness of the management (Vincent) to take the time to listen, understand, and fix his mistake is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. Mehr

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. The location is supreme! Downtown Gatlinburg is very busy and there are tons of things to do and see, we loved being that close to all of the action. The breakfast at the hotel was great too: sausage gravy biscuits - YUM!

We go to Gatlinburg every year, we were married there, this was the first time we stayed in the hotel, it was very nice rooms were great and we had a creek side room, we loved it and plan on staying there next year.
