Ohne Parkplatz Ohne Rezeption very inconvenient

Das Hotel liegt zwischen Fabriken und man schaut wenn man Pech hat direkt auf den Müllplatz von denen. Die Lage ist also etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Gemütlichkeit kommt da nicht so leicht auf. Das Hotel an sich ist in Ordnung. Ganz einfach aber ordentlich eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit einem ganz schmalen, sehr weichen und einem normalen […] (90cm?) Bett. komisch. Die Zimmer sind okay, laden aber wirklich nicht zum langen Verweilen ein. Wenn man wirklich nur mal übernachten will, ist es ausreichend. Aber keinen romantischen Urlaub hier planen! ;-) Liegt direkt an der Autobahn, aber man darf ja in Schweden nicht sonderlich schnell fahren. Bei geschlossenem Fenster hört man nichts davon, aber, großes Manko!, man hört jede Person , die auf dem Flur langläuft. Wenn man weiß, dass man keinen festen Schlaf hat, dann vielleicht Ohropax einpacken. Wer im Sommer mit offenem Fenster schlafen will, der muss aber damit rechnen die Autos und irgendwelche Kühlanlagen von den Fabriken zu hören. Gut ist die Entfernung zur U-Bahn-Station Midsommerkransen, zu Fuß ca. 10 min. Zur nächsten Bushaltestelle ca. 5 Minuten. In dem Viertel Västberga kann man auch mal günstiger etwas essen als im Centrum beispielsweise. Das ist ein Vorteil. Empfehlung: die Pizzeria auf dem direkten Weg zur U-Bahnstation. (ist eher ein Imbiss! , man kann aber auch dort essen) Die machen eine tolle, preiswerte, hauchdünne Pizza , deren Durchmesser die 30cm weit überragt. Wir hatten erst Angst wir hätten aus Versehen 2 Familienpizzen bestellt. Es gibt auch Döner und Nudeln. Viel Spaß in Stockholm. Eine wirklich tolle Stadt! :-) Mehr

Von außen wirkte das Hotel sehr schäbig, die Inneneinrichtung ist allerdings völlig in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber. Frühstücksbuffet war frisch und üppig. Die Gegend um das Hotel ist trist, aber die Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gut. Alles in allem in Ordnung für den Preis

Das Hotel liegt in einem Gewerbegebiet. Gute Verkehranbindungen mit U-Bahn. Ca. 5min Fußweg zur Haltestelle. Zimmer waren minimalistisch eingerichtet aber sauber. Kein Kühlschrank offene Dusche und sehr schlechten bis keinen WLAN emfang auf dem Zimmer. Es gibt einen PC an der Rezeption hat aber dummerweise keinen Internetanschluss! Aufgrund der unfreundlichen Rezeptionistin beim check in und check out und des damit verbundenen Zinmmers ohne Fenster mit stinkendem und überflutenden Badezimmer nach jedem Duschgang, habe ich leider eine sehr schlechte Meinung über dieses Hotel. Falls Qualitätssicherung auch für dieses Hotel gelten sollte, müsste man diese Rezeptionistin zumindest […] hinsichtlich Kundenservice und Umgang mit Kunden einschulen. Die Zimmer des Hotels allgemein sind sehr hellhörig: man hört jeden Schritt am Gang. In Südamerika hatte ich auch einfache Hotels, die wesentlich besser waren als dieses in Stockholm. Trotz aller Kritik möchte ich die andere Rezetionistin, die am 27. Oktober morgens Dienst versah, ausdrücklich loben: gab sie mir sofort und ohne Probleme ein anderes Zimmer. Sie entschuldigte sich auch über die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten, von ihr kann und sollte die andere Kollegin lernen. Mehr

Wer günstig einfach nur absteigen möchte ist in diesem Hotel gut aufgehoben. Das Frühstück war reichlich und frisch. Die Umgebung ist zwar etwas "gruselig" (nicht überbewerten) aber man ist in 5 Minuten in der Bahn (Midsommarkransen) und in weiteren 10 Minuten direkt in der Stadt.

in einem Stadtteil von Stockholm. Es ist ein Familienbetrieb, die Miarbeiter sind sehr nett und freundlich. Leider haben wir die Erfahrung gemacht, dass nach 4 Tagen, der Boden und das Bad nicht geputzt wurde, jedoch nach dem daruf hingewiesen wurde, wurde es gemacht. Die Zimmer sind schön reneoviert worden und nachts war es sehr ruhig, so dass man nach einem anstrengenden Tag (Seightseeing) einen ruhigen schlaf hatte und ausgeschlafen war für den nächsten Tag, Trotz den teils negativen Bewertungen die wir gelesen haben, haben wir gute Erfahrungen gemacht und können somit das Hotel beruhigt weiterempfehlen. Das Hotel ist eine gute Alternative für den kleineren Geldbeutel. Am Zimmer war nichts auszusetzen, das Frühstück war gut, leider zu stoßzeiten teils platzmangel. Ansonsten liegt das Hotel natürlich nicht zentral. Mit Bus/Ubahn kommt man allerdings in 10-20 mins in die Innenstadt. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt war mit U-Bahn und Bus aber recht gut, auch in der Nacht, zu erreichen. Die Umgebung besteht aus Firmen und Industrie und wirkt nachts wenig vertrauenserweckend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, alle Schweden sprechen generell sehr gut Englisch. Die Zimmer waren sehr einfach, aber sauber. […] Nur die Duschen sollten verbessert werden, Dusche und Fußboden sind eine Ebene so dass man beim duschen das ganze Bad flutet. Gut für Kurztrips und Leute die nicht allzu viel Budget für die Unterkunft einplanen wollen und sich dementsprechend auch hauptsächlich zum schlafen da aufhalten wollen. Mehr

Ein ehemaliges Werkgebäude wurde zum Hotel umfunktioniert. Generell nichts Schlechtes, aber die Zimmer waren lieblos "eingerichtet" - im Doppelzimmer 4 Klappbetten 1 Stuhl und 1 Kommode, Kein Schrank, Kuche nicht benutzbar, da Kühlschrank keimig war. Im Bad kein Regal, kein Haken, nichts worauf man seine Kosmetiktasche legen konnte, Durch innenliegendes […] Bad ohne Fenster, kaum Entlüftung und starke Geruchsbelästigung. friendly staff, clean rooms, very good and quick connection to the central city of Stockholm (~10 minutes walk and 10 minutes subway), supermarket and restaurants nearby. nice breakfast. I had a great time - thanks a lot!

u can't open window because its very close to the highway and rail line. single room is too small. breakfast was good.

Das Hotel ist ein liebloser Kasten mit absolut notduerftig eingerichteten Zimmern. Das Zimmer wirkte sehr schäbig und war eine Sammlung von ausrangierten Billigmöbeln. Einziger Lichtblick war das Fruehstuecksbuffet, das aber den miserablen Gesamteindruck nicht rettet.

Cannot understand how Hotel Metro or correct name "Hotel Västberga" could have three stars. Corridor, breakfast room and reception was under construction. Room was dirty and internet wasn't working. Feel pity for Japanese couple who visited Stockholm for the first time and thought that "Hotel Metro" was a *** star hotel and CLOSE to metro. Just about the worst hotel that I've ever been in my entire life. I've travelled a lot, I've seen hostels, but this was just horrible. The room temperature was about 5 degrees celcius, I was so cold and could not sleep at all. The showed was very very cold also. Also the location was very bad, hard to find the hotel.

We had similar reactions to others in that the neighbourhood seemed really dodgy. A girl popped out of the car in front of us and said her boyfriend would come and help us park in a private car park. We were looking at each other eyes wide. Yet the girl turned out to be associated with the hotel, she let us use her private, secure, parking space. She […] was very helpful, spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable with wifi. The neighbourhood was fine and we had dinner at the recommended Japanese restaurant which was very good. Located in a sort of business/industrial area, the “neighborhood” isn't anything great; however, getting here is very easy on public transportation: one metro ride followed by a short bus ride and you're within a few hundred yards/meters to the hotel. In an industrial area, about 7 minutes walk to the metro passing through a couple of walkway tunnels. Adequate, but, very small rooms, had to turn sideways to get through the door to the ensuite. Overall, fairly clean, although there were rugs on the end of the beds which were very grubby and stained - we took them off! Breakfast was fine, as expected, […] no frills, but definitely adequate. One morning we found two people asleep on the first floor landing - sprawled on the floor with luggage, and they were still there after breakfast! Stockholm is expensive, and this was the cheapest we could find within striking distance of the city centre. It was still not cheap. Also, be aware that unless you buy a multiple rides ticket, the metro etc can be expensive. It also costs to go to the loo everywhere - including major shops, so, take your mother's advice, and go before you leave home! There are reasonable places to eat near this hotel, and a supermarket nearby too. Mehr

It's hard to find an inexpensive hotel in Stockholm. This is one of them. Certainly OK, but had drawbacks. A bit difficult to get to. Wireless only worked in dining room, which closed at 10 PM. Breakfast food was good.

1. There where problems with cleaning. 2. I have been for 5 nights, I think you should give me a bigger room (and you have such).

We had a room for 4 person. The room is very 'small' for 4 person to stay. The toilet is very small. The tv is not working. The internet is not working.The breakfast is fine. Need to walk about 20 minutes to get to a supermarket to buy food.

staff are ok, not very unfriendly and not very kind, but ok. The room i lived were simple, i dont expect that much to a low price room. I must say that the location is very bad. You have to walk around 10-15 min and cross a dark smelly tunnel to subway station.

The room was very small but comfortable. The location is ugly/industrial and not really close to anything worth seeing, but it is very close to the metro and bus. The breakfast spread is fantastic-- lots of food and choices, really good stuff, and included in the price of the room. There is a common area kitchen-- however, my dad stored his insulin […] in the refrigerator and it was stolen. Not sure if that's the hotel's fault, the guests' fault, or his fault, but it's something to consider. Mehr

We fellt quite uncomfortable in this Hotel. It's located in an industrial area. So it's very much of noise around it from the early morning. It's too far away from the city to get there on foot. You have to take the underground. The elevator is blocked after 22.00. You have to take the stairs. The breakfast room was to little for the size of the hotel. […] There were many people waiting for a table or dishes or food, because there was to little of everything. Breakfast only till 9.30. The bad was very very uncomfortable. We left a night earlier because we wouldn't stay longer at this place. Mehr

It was warm in Stockholm and we couldn't open the little window. No AC. Very unpleasant and humid for sleeping. Stayed in the room as little as possible. The sink was so close to the toilet, we could rest our chins on it. There was one little desk stool and no chairs for two people. Breakfast was good, however, and the email connection worked. Also, […] they let us use their washer and dryer. The hotel has a section that seems to be added on, which is where our room was. We could see from the outside that the other part had bigger windows that opened, and maybe their bathrooms didn't have sinks so close to the toilets. Slow and unreliable internet. Away from the city centre. 5 minutes walk from the tube station. Nice breakfast.

when i arrived, i was informed that i can only book in at 15:00 which is acceptable, but the lady at reception could have been more helpful and suggested that i kill the odd hour and a half with something to eat or drink. after i booked in at the prescribed time and took a shower, the floor was flooded with water. i used all the towels to try and keep […] the water of flooding the room. i reported the situation with the girl at reception the following day, but nothing was done about the situation. after i returned from City Centre later the afternoon, there was only one (1!) towel for me to use. i felt as if it was my fault that the towels were wet and used as "wall" against the water flooding the room! i had to ask for morel towels from the reception (a friendly attendant) who gave me two towels which i used the following day when i showered before departing for the airport. i can understand that there might be problems in a room, but to let me feel as it was my mistake to use the extra towels for trying to stop the water from flooding the room, is not acceptable and then only give me 1 towel. Very average hotel, stay and facilities. Although not very poor, I would ideally prefer a hotel at least slightly better!

First of all, the location is bad, you have to walk through two subway to reach the hotel,single woman highly not recommend to live there. No reception after 10pm, the wall is like a paper,u can hear what's going on outside. the washroom is terrible,water trap there till next morning. Room had no windows, no shower nor bathroom. Walls are thin, you hear neigbours several rooms away. Probably a place for foreign workers to stay for a week etc.... as my room had 4 tiny beds. Located in area locals have named "The Oil Gasses Valley" for all the trucks passing by. Several taxy conmpanies left me stranded as they had no cars in that area. […] general advice - if you can, do not go there. Mehr

I think you get a little bit better value for the money. The room was O.K with a small kitchen area. Breakfast is very reasonable. There was sauna as well. Easy access to the town, but the area hotel located isn't so good. I was worried about leaving a car overnight (nothing happened though). The elevator stopped and my husband was stuck in there for […] almost 2 hours. That puts me off badly. But the staff was very helpful and nice. Thank you. Mehr

I stayed at Hotel Vastberga for 5 nights. It was the cheapest rate that I could find in the Stockholm area. My room was small, clean and adequately furnished. It was kept clean during the week. It was quite and I was not disturbed during my stay. I traveled each day into central Stockholm using the commuter train network. This is two stops and takes […] around 15 mins. I bought a 7 day travel pass for metro, commuter train and bus which was very good value. Three things I liked : 1.) very good value for money 2.) staff were helpful and attentive 3.) good buffet breakfast served promptly every morning Three things you should know before you book : 1.) it is located in an industrial area; the area is safe in my view. 2.) it is 5 mins walk to the metro and 10 mins walk to the commuter train network. 3.) There is not much to do in the surrounding area. I would recommend this if you are traveling on a tight budget. Mehr

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was quite good (definitely better than the continental breakfasts usually offered in the US). Although the room was smaller than at typical US hotel, it was very clean and certainly sufficient, especially for the money. The walk to the subway station will take 5-10 minutes, depending […] on your pace. Then, it's a 12 minute ride to Stockholm Central. The area seemed quite safe. There is a small grocery store near the subway station. I'd certainly recommend this hotel to someone looking to stay in Stockholm without paying an arm and a leg. Mehr

All other reviews posted here were accurate; but I thought it was excellent value for the price. All other hotels we explored were at least twice the price. Our room was a double with 2 large windows. There were curtains as well as blinds. Staff was helpful with all questions, generally a pleasant experience.

Having read other reviews after booking the hotel vastberga i was dreading seeing what the place was like but unlike other reviews i found the staff friendly&helpful the hotel&room was clean&the breakfast was excellent a lot of choice&always topped up when any items got low. The hotel is about a 5minute walk from the metro&is signed posted once you […] get to the first underpast, Overall for the price i paid to stay there i would highly recommend this hotel to others. Great breakfast, friendly staff, obviously pretty far from town centre but for value it was expected. Clean rooms and very reasonable rooms. Recommend to any young people on a budget or a couple.
