Ein sehr ordentliches Hotel mit Bügelbrett (!) im Zimmer und einem sehr guten Frühstücksbuffet

Im Vorfeld beim Suchen einer passenden Unterkunft mussten wir feststellen dass es tatsächlich stimmt dass Oslo ein teures Pflaster ist. Das Hotel Scandic Edderkoppen in Oslo wurde unsere Wahl weil es Dank eines Sonderpreises für 3 Nächte nur unwesentlich teurer war als ein Hostel. Wir waren sehr glücklich mit unserer Wahl. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, […] das Rathaus und diverse Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Auch der Hautbahnhof ist mühelos zu Fuss erreichbar und man ist für die wichtigsten Dinge gar nicht auf's ÖV angewiesen. Das Zimmer und Bad war zwar relativ klein, aber zweckmässig und ausreichend. Wir haben auf jeden Fall selten so gut geschlafen wie in diesem Hotel, die Matratzen waren perfekt. Genau die Härte die wir lieben. Normalerweise bekomme ich schnell Rückenweh in einem fremden Bett, doch hier hatte ich nicht mal einen Anflug davon. Hervorzuheben ist aber das Frühstück, das ist für meine Begriffe überdurchschnittlich. Es gibt verschiedene Buffets, u.A. Fleisch, Käse, Müesli/Corn-Flakes mit Joghurt, Englisch Breakfast und dazu wurde noch Crevettencocktail und eingelegte nordische Fische angeboten. Da wir aber zum Frühstück noch nichts Deftiges essen können, stürzten wir uns aufs Brotbuffet. Noch nie haben wir so gutes Brot in einem Hotel gegessen. Es gab verschiedene Vollkornbrote die sogar noch warm waren. Einfach himmlisch. Schade dass wir die Bäckerei nicht mitnehmen konnten. Wir waren für ein Wochenende in Oslo, vom Hafen aus ist es innerhalb von einer halben Stunde zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Ich war nur eine Nacht dort. Das Hotel liegt zentral, ist sauber und modern. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, hat mich jetzt aber überhaupt nicht gestört. Genau gegenüber ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant, wo man auch draußen sitzen kann. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und gut, sogar mehrere Sorten Müsli wurden angeboten. Stayed there for one night. I got one of the last (reserve) rooms. It was very small, but clean and well planned for it's size. The location is very central.

The staff at the Scandic Edderkoppen were pleasant, helpful and courteous and did everything possible to ensure our comfort during our stay.

Pretty much on par with most hotels in Scandic chain - simple, but adequate. Nice breakfast buffet. Reasonable price on a weekend when I stayed. Location is convenient to city sites such as National Gallery and walkable to many places of interest. Small gym and sauna are nice.

The hotel is in the center of Oslo, close to the royal palace. However, the parking is expensive and you have to take the same ramp as for cars to go in and out. No direct access to the hotel and no elevator. So you better stop in front of the hotel to unload your luggage and then park the car.

With everything so expensive in Oslo, this hotel offers a perfectly comfortable room at a fair price. The hotel's breakfast was really quite nice. There are some closer hotels to city center, but this was not too far away. Its front desk staff was also lovely. Andrea was particularly helpful and friendly.

The Scandic hotel was nicely located in close proximity to the city and it's attractions, including the mass transit. The hotel is pricey but nothing there is cheap, as a matter of fact, we had 2 whopper meals at Burger King and spent, are you ready for this( ? ) $ 40 ( $198 Norwegian Krone ) for for 2 whoppers with cheese, a large onion ring, a large […] fry and 2 medium drinks. The cost of living is outragious but they do pay 50% of their earnings in taxes. On the upside, great transit on trains, busses, ferries, etc but it does not come cheap. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet with fresh breads you cut yourself, meats, fantastic pancakes (crepes) fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs, and much more which is included in your stay. Eat a big breakfast and then you just have to buy 1 meal the rest of the day. The hotel also offers free wi-fi so take your laptop or use theirs in the lobby, they have 2. Very friendly city with remarkable sights to see but be prepared to drop some $, enjoy! Tip, buy the 24 hour pass for mass transit ( about $15 ) and you can really get around nicely...........much cheaper than taxis. Take the train from the airport, about $ 30 one way but man it's a smooth, quiet electric high speed ride and cheaper than the bus or any other transit. Mehr

I booked this hotel less than a week before a business trip that happened in the middle of the nordic skiing championships when almost everything else was booked. I generally stay at Thon hotels in Oslo because my company has a special deal with the chain, but I found the edderkoppen to be much better quality. The room was definitely bigger, although […] directly over the front door of the hotel and therefore a bit noisy. The breakfast buffet was also one of the more extensive I've seen, with better-than-average coffee (Norwegian coffee is generally pretty bad IME) and lots of organic options. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the gym and the excellent equipment there, although the locker rooms could use a hair dryer. As for the hotel room, the bathroom was standard-quality Norwegian cleanliness (a big dingy around the corners but liveable) and the bed was the standard not-really-comfortable-but-comfortable-enough bed. the location was excellent for my meetings but would also be good for any tourist. Close to city center and convenient to the national theater train station from the airport. Mehr

Room was clean, comfortable and located close to public transportation. In room wireless internet access worked well without any problems. I would recommend this hotel.

Just back from a 4 day visit to Osla and stayed at the Scandic Edderkoppen Hotel. This Hotel is excellant and I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending it to anyone. It is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk and your onto Karl Johans Gate. The hotel is very homely and comfortable from the minute you walk through the door. The rooms are very good, clean and modern and comfortable. The beds were great. The room had a good sized flat screen TV on the wall from which you could watch TV with many channels in English with Norwegian subtitles, listen to the radio which played mostly up to date english songs, watch pay to view movies, obtain information about the Hotel and control the heating i the room. The rooms have a fridge, which is stocked but it is not a fridge that registers when you move somethinga nd therefore you can buy drinks from the supermarket and put them in the fridge. The bathroom is very clean and very very warm, though small, but has all that you need. The shower is hot, which is good first thing in the morning. The hotel also has a huge Theatre attached which looks very impressive. The breakfast in the Hotel was very good. We were expecting the usual continental breakfast, but it far exceeding our expectations. A good choice of teas, breads, cereals, fruit juices, fruit, cheeses, meats etc as well as hot breakfast choices of bacon, sausages, baked beans, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, meatballs etc. Altogether the breakfast was excellant and set you up for the day. The hotel has a secure room for leaving your luggage so you can enjoy your last day if you have a late flight and it is held in the reception area. Really nice hotel, loved how you could view information about it (breakfast times etc.) and change the temperature of the room from the TV. Clean and tidy, plenty of choice at breakfast (although it's not very well set out - it took me three breakfasts to locate the danish pastries!). Only downside was that the walls between rooms were very thin so […] I got woken up early every morning by a screaming child in the next room. Rooms are clean, bath and toilets too. Breakfast - you will find something fore everyone, even coffee is not bad. We stayed in October - rooms where quite "fresh". The Hotel location nearby to Undergrund, sights, ... is perfect. Even our late checkin was not an issue.

The service was amazing, the breakfast was delicious, the location was ideal, and we're already planning our next trip back!

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly, etc. The room was attractive, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. My only "complaint' might be that the door between our room and the adjoining room was not very soundproof. We had a quiet neighbor, but when he blew his nose, it almost sounded like he was in our room. The buffet breakfast and service was […] outstanding! Mehr

greit hotell .. men den sofaen som var på romme må hives ut snarest . vi 2 lo godt da vi satt oss i den

Jeg synes hotellrommet virket skittent. Det var hår på hodeputen, i vasken osv, men ellers bra komfort på rommet. Man kunne styre temperaturen via TVen, men jeg synes at selv med 24 grader var det veldig kaldt i rommet, så jeg lurer på om det egentlig virket.

Bra beläget hotell i Oslo city. Vi har besökt det flera gånger. Alltid trevligt bemötande. Bra service, och bra frukost. Lugnt och trevligt.

En grei og rimelig hotell, men ikke helt i 4-stjerners klassen. Den ekstra dynen som lå oppå den vanlige sengedynen så ut som den ikke var vasket på 1 år eller 2. Noe utslitt interiør og flekker på møblene. Jeg likte spesielt ikke hygienen under frokosten. Melke-maskinene var i ustand, og vi fikk servert melk fra kanner. Ellers var standarden på rommet […] ok, og grei personale (selv om det ble kanskje for upersonlig). Mehr

Veldig romslige rom, men dårlig varmeovn.

Hotellet var helt ok förutom maten som vi beställde på kvällen. (Kvällens rätt) Både dyrt och inte gott. Dyr parkering på hotellet. Bra frukost!

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt i Oslo Sentrum, bare en liten spasertur Karl Johan. Fine rom, og romslige senger. Rommet mitt var ikke rengjort når jeg ankom hotellet. Men det ble rengjort i løpet av kort tid heldigvis. Value for money-hotel.

Super beliggenhet, vennlig og serviceinnstilt personale, behagelig atmosfære og fine rom - også med balkong! Skulle jeg antydet noen minus måtte det være manglende room-service tilbud... Alt i alt et godt valg.

Økologisk og god frokost. Aviser man kan lese mens man spiser (stort pluss!). Bra service. Balkong - som sikkert er digg om sommeren. Rommet i bra standard, ikke veldig stort.

Flott hotell i akseptabel standard og perfekt beliggenhet for en Oslo-helg.

Hotellet var bare en måned gammelt og det var en del byggestøv på rommet fremdeles. Det luktet også nymalt. Det var ikke like sentralt som vi ble forespeilet da vi bestilte. Det var veldig hyggelig betjening og god mat til frokosten. Kan anbefale hotellet til andre.
