Unfortunately, the hotel was rather run down. The room we had exhibited cracks all over the walls and ceilings. Housekeeping carts and bundles of trash and laundry were left in the hallway the entire time we were there, yet we were told we could not check in early because our room was not ready. There were only a handful of guests anyhow. The front […] desk was not very helpful or knowledgeable. Only one hot tub was working and it was dirty. The beds are TERRIBLY uncomfortable. You can feel every spring. During this time of the year check out should be later than 10am seeing as it is a ghost town and NOTHING is open other than starbucks for a short period of time. If the beds were comfortable, we would have enjoyed our stay. The elevators were broken when we arrived at 11:30 p.m. They were fixed by morning. There was a constant blast of cold air coming out of the vent in the hall outside our room. By the second day we decided to stuff coats in front of the crack in the door to help keep the room at a bearable […] temperature. Our room was constantly cold, but we didn't ask for it to be fixed, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Fireplace was nice. Furniture was nice. Biggest issue was - the hotel says they have a "firm no pet policy". However, that is misleading to allergy sufferers. Owners are allowed to bring their pets, renters or hotel guests are not. Mehr

Nice centrally located hotel with all the amentities. Only drawback is that everything closes early during the week day but a free shuttle is offered to town.

Lovely big very well presented 1 bedroom apartment, very clean and modern (flat screen tv's, dishwasher, large fridge etc). Great ski in/out location.

On the plus side Zephyr has a great location which you pay dearly for. The room had everything we needed except a comfortable bed. We didnt sleep well both nights we were there because of this. Otherwise its a lovley property even has a Starbucks on the premesis. The outdoor hot tubs were nice but could have been better protected from the wind.

Customer service sucked, the gym has limited hours and it was dirty. The heat in the room was impossible to regulate, you either froze or cooked. The front desk puts you on hold for a ridiculous amount of time if they answer at all. Don't waste your money.

Very convienent place to stay at Winter Park. Less than 100 yards to ski lift, restaurants and bars. Small condo unit with all the standard amenities. I will stay there again .

I always look at this hotel when skiing Winter Park. Stayed there for my sone hHigh School State championship races. The staff has the friendliness of a pit bull. There is no business center to print out anything but a boarding pass (for an airport 1.5 hours away). No way to connect a USB drive or laptop for printing anything. The Zephyr is terrific for its location, but our room was pretty beaten up - nicks on the furniture, etc. It also had not been thoroughly cleaned and vaccumed and there were leftover Cheetos on the floor. The service at the front desk wasn't great, but Andrew, a bellhop, made all of that up with his kind and extremely service-oriented demeanor.

Only place I have stayed while skiing in Colorado that charges for parking. $14 per night. That should be disclosed prior to booking.

The only saving grace of this hotel is it's proximity to the chair lift. We checked in at 9pm to find piles of trash outside our room. The room itself was less than impressive. We had a group of seven, with three cars. Due to a lack of information from the staff, we had trouble getting close enough to the lodge to unload our cars. Location is very convenient - right on side to the mountain lifts, all facilities and restaurants in five minutes walk. Room is comfortable. Staff is trying very hard. Only disappointment was housekeeping fail to clean our room, even it was scheduled for one time in the week.

Fourth trip to Winterpark and I have stayed at Zephyr all four times. This time - had to pay for covered parking, late checkout fee. There is no more warm apple cider at the front desk lounge for guests. The ski lockers pegs were missing so hard to put skis in. Elevators were always busy - so had to wait around 3-5 mintues to go up or come down. The […] room! - no good temperature control. Sofabed springs broken and could not sleep for 3 nights as they did nothing to fix it. Telephone bust - they took a day to fix. Refrigerator leakings, they but towels in the fridge to soak water - my food got spoilt. It took them 6 hours to bring a skillet to the room - by them I was done with cooking my lunch and dinner without a skillet. The towels were not replaced when requested - something about their vendor did not deliver on time.... Management - apparently management has no authority. It was so hard to get a late check out. She said if I paid for the next day - she could do it. But before that said - my room was already booked out. Then said if I paid $25 then could extend to noon and $50 I could extend till 2pm - how does this make sense - seems like they are just trying to squeeze the customer. I had requested a high floor and larger square footage about 3 months prior to check-in - they could not accommodate! Overall a very dissatisfied customer at Zephyr and my next visit to WinterPark will be staying somewhere else. Mehr

Very convenient location, easy access to ski lifts and walking distance the Cheeky Monk Beer Cafe. The day we stayed there, the hot tub was not working, the showers had cold water and the bed was rock solid.

Hands down, this was the best ski trip my family has taken. Everything was right at your fingertips! My kids could walk right out of our room and hit the slopes, and my mom and I could go to Starbucks, do some shopping, or just take in the scenery for the day! Everyone enjoyed our stay!

Very pleasant staff, efficient. Location wonderful at Winter Park. I made no complaints, but the bathroom did need some maintenance attention, as did the ski locker. I am confident that those issues will be done.

Walk out to lift & ski back down to your room. Spacious suite with full kitchen. Up to date appliances. Cozy fireplace. Staff was super-friendly & accommodating. Though the bathroom & kitchen were up to date, the bedroom and living room furniture could definitely use some upgrading to be completely comfortable. It wasn't bad, just outdated. Oh, and if you are interested in TV in the evenings they are old too. No flat screens. We only stayed for one night but it was great. Our room was nice and the bed was firm which was important to me due to back problems. They were working on one elevator but it wasn't too crowded so not a big problem. Get a mountain view room-well worth the extra money! I had been very excited to stay at the Zephyr because of it's location at the bottom of the Winter Park base. The pictures made the hotel seem new and luxurious. Upon checking in we were informed that "due to the fact that each condo was individually owned, the furnishings might vary." We were SO dismayed to learn that our room was shabby and outdated. […] The bed was a queen, when we'd thought we'd booked a king, the hot water took 5 minutes to come on, and the great proximity to the lifts actually meant that we had to listen to them blow snow and the snow cats moving around all night. We ended up moving across the street to Fraser Crossing, which is less expensive and MUCH nicer! Mehr

We went to see the fall colors and the hotel was convenient to many trails. What we enjoyed most about the hotel was the wonderful village feel of the grounds surrounding it with great restaurants and fun things for the kids (teens) to do. We were there for a beautiful wedding at the top of the mountain at the Lodge at Sunspot! Truly picturesque everywhere you look. We loved the Zephyr Lodge for the gathering of the family with so much to do right on site. Kids had a ball as well as the grown-ups. Each of our Condo's were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The location of the property is great! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and activities. The hotel looks a bit run down and the rooms were very warm. The window barely opened and did not have screens. The rooms would have been much cooler with fans.

The location of the hotel is wonderful for summer or winter, right at the base of the lifts...great to sit on balcony to people watch or head down stairs to the heart of the village with great shops and restaurants. We loved the resort. The mountain views were great. We had lunch at SunSpot and it was wonderful. The room was very nice, having a full kitchen was very convenient. The parking garage underground was also great. We felt a little spoiled.

The mountains in the summer are absolutely perfect - cool and relaxing. But at the Zephyr they heat the floors, which is probably a nice feature in the winter. The room was nice and if you plan on biking or skiing then it is a good location. The room had a pull out couch that as really bad and the master bed was ok but the neighbor had a refrigerator next to the wall that keep coming on and off and vibrating the wall. Very annoying. It is summer but there is no AC in the rooms so you have to open the windows […] and use the fans. Having a running river outside made it not the quiet experience. Great location, right on the slopes of Winter Park. You can actually walk out from the hotel, in your boots, clip into your skis, and glide on down to a lift. Pretty cool. Was there last weekend of March, and appeared to be off-season. Some of the shops and restaurants at the resort were closing early, but wasn't an issue. Great location and loved our BIG 3-bedroom that overlooked the Zephyr Express lift. The hotel sits on top of a ski rental shop complete with great staff and great gear - so convenient! We reserved a two bedroom w/ two queen beds and a pull out. We called to verify the day before and confirmed. We were given one king and two twins. The condo smelled of cigarette smoke. It had been 10 years since I last stayed at Zephyr. The entire area had changed. The have developed a nice village right at the base of the mountain. The rooms were pretty much the same but had a little wear to them and that was pretty much expected. If you want 5 star don't go. If you are comfortable in a 3 star and a place that is kid friendly then […] this is the perfect place. The location to the ski rental and to the ski lifts were perfect especially with my 8 year old. The best part for my 8 year old was the hot tubbing out in the snow! Overall, great place to stay. Will be back but remember when booking that the Zephyr has two properties. The Slopeside which is closest to the lift and much easier to ski down to or Riverside that you do need to walk about 30 yards. Enjoyed it. Mehr
