SUBURBAN EXTENDED STAY HOTEL AI - Tampa

Close to Airport . Not too great a neighborhood. Look like some transients stay there.

The hotel rooms are old but clean. You know the saying you get what you pay for

I was confortable in the room. it was very clean. the person at the front desk was friendly and helpful

Only negatives about this place are the traffic on Hillsborough, and some of the people that reside here. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and smoke free. As a smoker it was no inconvenience to step outside every few hours. Would have continued to stay here except you receive no rewards points. Great place for the price.

I have to say my time at the hotel was pleasant. We had a front room and my boyfriend and I did not mond the view of the gas station across the street. I'm Pretty sure if we were located towards the back of he hotel, the noise from traffic would not had been that bad, but we did not mind it at all. The room was clean and it pretty much met our standards […] given that we booked it the day of. We stayed a week and saved alot of money by making our own breakfast lunch and dinner. The kitchenette was clean and I'm a very picky person, but my boyfriend and I resoved that by buying some bleach to wipe down the questionable items. The loation is also great and most everything is in walking isrance unless you want to go to the nearest attraction, you'd probably have to drive like 15-20min out of the area. Id recommend this place to anyone. I loved my stay here. Mehr

This hotel was totally fine for a night. It was close to the airport - about $15 cab ride, which is okay. (But if you're planning on using mostly cabs in this area, be prepared to spend a fortune.)

This hotel seemed to be very new and is located in a very convenient location within 2 miles of Tampa Internationa Airport. However,they are many things that need to be done that would convince me to stay at this hotel again. The toilet would not stop running after flushing unless you jiggled the handle. At one point the chain came off the connector […] in the toilet bowl and I had to reattach it.Simple enough to do if your a handyman/homeowner and have done this simple repair at home. The hot water handle on the bathroom sink leaked all over the vanity. Using a washcloth as a dam stopped the water from running over the vanity. We did not receive housekeeping during the entire week we stayed there. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms,but our room smelled of cigarette smoke every time we returned. Tip: If you stay during the cooler months,turn off the air conditioner before you leave the room. Smoking guests are allowed to smoke outside of their rooms and often the smoke will get into the vents of the window a/c units. Also there are gaps between the door and the door jams which will let in odors from outside and bugs will also come in. Hint: place a folded beach towel on the floor in front of the door covering the door sweep so bugs won't get. We had no problems with bugs because we stayed in March. Also on the sixth day of our 7 day stay,we were returning from the beach at about 5 pm and we were locked out of our room. I tried both of our room key cards to no avail. I went to the office and the manager corrected the problem by electronically "unlocking" our room while explaining that whoever checked us in made the mistake of putting our checkout date wrong. In fact this was the same guy that checked us in 6 days previously and he wouldn't admit his mistake. The only thing that I would recommend about this location is it's close proximity to the airport,shopping and restaurants. Also be prepared to pay an additional $5 per day in taxes. Mehr

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. I had a softball tournament in Tampa, and had a bit of a hard time finding a reasonably priced hotel with good reviews. I rarely review hotels but I felt that because of the lack of good hotels out there that are reasonably priced I should. This hotel was great! We arrived after the front desk […] had closed, but called ahead to make sure there would be someone there. When we arrived the security guard was waiting for us and had all of our information ready to go. The security guard was very pleasant and made the process quick and painless. There was plenty of parking in the lot, so parking was easy. The grounds were clean and free of debris. The only complaint I had about the room was when I walked in it was a bit stuffy, however once I opened the windows that was fixed. The entire room was very clean. The TV is a bit small but worked fine. The kitchen had a sink, two stove top burners, pots, pans, utensils, an oven mitt, coffee pot, glasses and plates. There was an alarm and plenty of lighting. They do not allow animals or smoking in the rooms, so for someone that's allergic to animals and smoke it's fantastic. The bathroom was very clean and a good size for two people to move around in. The bed was very comfortable and had very crisp clean sheets. You can tell the hotel is older but they have painted and maintained the hotel VERY well! Check out was very easy and you have until noon to check out. One suggestion, make sure you read the paperwork that the hotel gives you because they do ask that you wash any dishes you may use, put all trash in trash cans, and place all used towels in the sink. If you do not do these things they can charge you an additional cleaning fee. Also they will clean the room daily for a fee, but if you stay for a week they give you one free cleaning on a specified day. I didn't mind the little bit of clean up to make sure we didn't get charged extra, it's really not that bad. The only Mehr
