Hotel Faro - Faro

Sehr schoen mittendrin gelegen mit toller Dachterrasse. Wir haben dort sehr gut gegessen!! Super Bedienung. Unkompliziert und freundlich. Toll war der Gutschein fuer die Faehre zur Deserta Insel (Sonnenschirm nicht vergessen), den man fuer den Aufenthalt dort mitbekommt. Wir wuerden sofort wieder dort buchen in Faro.

Brilliant hotel, staff so welcoming on arrival. Perfect location right next to the marina and close enough to all bars/restaurants. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Best thing about the hotel was breakfast, absolutely amazing.

Hotel very modern and clean. The reception staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in early. Free parking is available in the surrounding streets. We had a room on the 1st floor - quite small even though this was a "superior" room and we were charged extra for this. All well so far - however even though this was November and the area was not […] especially busy at night the street noise was terrible. People shouting and other disturbances in the street immediately below our room. This noise went on until 4.00 am in the morning and we did not sleep at all during this period. Perhaps the streets are much quieter on week days but I cannot not recommend this hotel at weekends because of the potential for noise and disturbance. One of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was fantastic!

This hotel was lovely. It was clean, modern, spacious, everything you'd want. There isn't a lot to do in Faro (except eat!) but that's not their fault. They are in a fabulous location and easy to find. The only comments (and that's all they are) I would make about the hotel is that: 1) it feels like you are entering a modern office block. When I came […] home each evening it felt as though I was going to sleep in my office yet again. It's clean modernist lines and wide open spaces mean that it doesn't feel like any hotel I've ever stayed in before, no matter how ultra modern, they all feel like hotels! 2) The other issue was that we were told nothing about the town by the staff at reception. They didn't volunteer a map of the town until they were asked for one and they mentioned nothing about the festivities that were going on each night of our stay right outside the hotel. Mehr

This is a good base from which to explore old Faro and dont forget the storks which are on most rooftops and even the odd lamp post .

We were pleased w the hotel. It's location was especially good as it right in town. We are in Lisbon at a Eurostar Hotel. Booked thru hotel.com. And we stayed at a Hilton in Barcelona Also booked by hotel.com. We are pleased w all of them We recommended Hotel Faro and Hotel.com to a couple going to faro

The Hotel Faro is a few steps from both the pedestrianized shopping area of Faro and the old walled town. It faces the marine, but very few rooms--only those at the very front of the hotel--have a view of the marina. Most rooms overlook not very attractive rooftops of the narrow side streets, and a few rooms have small balconies that are completely […] surrounded by the tops of adjacent buildings. We arrived in Faro on Carnival day with music blaring from loudspeakers on the town square in front of the hotel. We were concerned about the noise, but were assured that it would be over before dinner time. We were initially given a standard room at the back of the hotel away from the noise. Having pre-paid for a superior room, I inquired at the front desk and was told that the only superior rooms were at the very front. However, I didn't mind the noise as long as it would not last the night, so we moved. That turned out to be a fortuitous move. Shortly after settling in, Faro's Carnival parade began, passing right below our window. So we had the equivalent of a New Orleans French Quarter balcony Mardi Gras view of Faro's Carnival. It was an unexpected treat of our visit. Otherwise, the room was satisfactory but unexceptional. The bathroom was larger than average. But be forewarned, the beds are extremely hard--fine for me, as I like a very hard bed, but my arthritic wife woke up on the second day with stiffness and soreness in her back and hips. Breakfast was extensive and served in the hotel's fourth floor rooftop restaurant with full glass views of the surrounding area. Parking is in an underground garage for an extra 10 euro. Wireless internet is available for a fee; I paid 10 euro for 24 hours, but to my surprise, that 24 hours meant 24 hours of connection time. Over two days, I didn't come close to using up the entire 24 hours. Fin weekend sist i april. Veldig bra hotel , men det var litt "kald" atmosfære likevel. Kort avstand til jernbanestasjon slik at du kommer raskt og rimelig til Olhao og Tavira . Gangavstand til alt . Ca. 10 Euro med Taxi fra flyplassen.

Bra hotell med ypperligt läge och restaurant med gourmettouch och fantastiska viner.

Fin placering med udsigt over havnen fra værelset og fantastisk udsigt over hele Faro fra tagterrassen.

Seguramente en Portugal la calidad precio sea equivalente, pero la realidad esque no se merece tantas estrellas como luce. Las paredes son de papel, Ventanas y puertas no insonorizan ( en verano hay musica junto al hotel). Nuestra habitacion tenía las tuberias descubiertas, asique escuchas continuamente el viaje del agua, no solo de tu habitacioin. […] El cafe del desayuno es una broma de mal gusto, absolutamente horrible. El personal bien, te ayudarna en cualquier duda que tengas. Lo bueno del hotel esque está en el centro, muy cerca de la estacion de autobuses y tren. Mehr

We stayed here for a few nights. Good room with comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The hotel lacked facilities and was part of a building with a bank and some other businesses. Modern and nice but a bit unpersonal. The hotel had a great restaurant with bar on top with a good view. The food was ok. The staff in the reception was sometimes a bit arrogant […] and not much helpful. They were often busy in phones and gave quick answers. The PC did not accept camera connection and I was not given any help or money refund. I discussed going on a few tours with the staff, but was just cut of telling "it is too far away" ect. without telling options of hiring car, taking a bus there ect. The personnel at the restaurant were kind and very helpful, so we were in total satisfied with our stay. Please improve the service. Mehr

hotel tres bien situe et propre par contre batiment encaisse sur un cote avec un autre batiment, impossible d'ouvrir le srideaux, obliget d'etre à l alumière automatique...

A nice hotel very close to the city center, rail-way station and bus station. Good breakfast at the top floor restaurant. Only 10 minutes drive from the air port. Easy to use buses to visit some of the other cities along the coast, or express bus to Lisboa.

Flott hotell, men dårlig air condition i rommet. Vennlig og hyggelig personale i reseptionen ved innsjekking. Kommer til å bruke dette hotellet ved annen anledning.
