internet sevice is slow and expensive. should be included in the room rate. staff not really polite. door keys need to be changed a lot.

Prat Street is a great location in Tsim Sha Tsui and this hotel was opposite Butterfly on Prat hotel. Butterfly would have blown our budget so we opted for what we thought was a deluxe room for 3 single women - a queen and 2 singles. We got a so-called deluxe which was very small, with a rollaway bed at the end of 2 single beds. no room to swing a cat. […] We complained and showed our hotel.com booking sheet. Apparently it meant EITHER a queen or 2 singles. After a lot of firm protest and no movement from the hotel i asked what they could do for us. They offered us a standard triple room - but no price reduction. Frankly, the size of the standard was bigger than the deluxe, and there wre no other differences in standard. The bathroom floor was covered in dust and hair and obviously had not been mopped for a while. our request for this to be cleaned resulted in a man picking up the hair in a tissue and leaving the rest! As an apology they said they would bring us a 'fruit platter' - we were rethinking our opinion of the place until presented with 1 pear, an apple and a banana, unpeeled. Not really a platter! The rooms are very musty and on the 3rd floor we looked over concrete. All in all, it felt backpacker standard, at an inflated price. I wish we had stayed at the YMCA down by the water, for very little extra, or paid for a nicer room in a cheaper district like mongkok. Given the excellent and cheap MTR, other districts with a better standard of accommodation would have suited me better. In summary, I wouldn't recommend this place. If I go basic, as a trade-off I want cheap. This was bad standard in a good location but too costly. Mehr

Good location of the hotel and near the subway. The things that i didnt like was the huge price for using wifi at the hotel and the bed was extremly hard. Felt like sleeping on a floor.

I stayed in the Guangdong Hotel in early February 2012 and couldn't stop scratching. Both my partner and I scratched our way through Hong Kong. Went to the Doctors and we had a parasidic infection from BED BUGS. I told the front desk and they just shrugged their shoulders and smiled. The Foyer absolutely reeks of disinfecant so much so it makes your […] eyes water. This tells me maybe they knew they had a problem. Only stayed at this hotel as I stay in my home and have no problems. Took medication oral and cream and the itching has stopped. Location is perfect but I do wonder how small or old a standard room is as we had an executive room on the 16 floor and it was tiny and quite old. Mehr

It's in a convenient neighborhood close to nightlife and public transit. Beds were hard as rocks but for the price this was worth it.

The hotel and the staff were fine. It was located in a good area, close to Nathan Road and the shopping areas. The room was spacious and OK. The attention to detail and cleanliness were somewhat lacking and let the hotel down a little. Nothing major but could have been better.

The hotel location is excellent. The room facilities and cleanliness is satisfactory. However our room was close to the lifts, so it was noisy at times.

I booked this hotel based on reading the reviews. Upon arriving, my room had 2 small beds. I had reserved a queen size bed. I called the front desk but they would not accomodate me. Truly great hotel for the price. Good location. Very helpful staff. Nice room. Terrific local restaurants directly across the street.

Good location, friendly staff. Problem was restroom, the shower curtain was stinky, they can replace that with a plastic one and experience will be improved. Internet costs extra, but it seems like that's the norm in HK.

Very nice hotel for the price.

The Guangdong Hotel in Hong Kong looks like made long ago, therefore its general looking and the decoration of the rooms are out of date and exhibits the effect of long use. Regarding the quality of the reception service, it is miserable. met our expectations for a clean room in a convenient location in Hong Kong. It was the best priced option, and they gave us a free room upgrade. A free baby cot was provided upon request as well. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hong Kong.

I expected the internet service to be free as in many other hotels in the area

A great hotel close to lots of shopping and the pier to catch the ferries to hong kong island. Service was ok a little trouble with English but veer helpful overall. Room was tidy and comfortable and serviced well every day.

5 min walk to East TsimShatsui MTR on Hanoi Road. Conveinence stores 7/11 nearby and Indian Food opp. the road. No night club in this area. Nearest at Nathan Road. Staff not friendly and room very small. Bathroom just ok. Do not allow early check in. Avenue of Stars by MTR 15 min walk. Beer pubs next to the hotel. K11 good store nearby but ToysRUS toys […] paradise at Ocean Terminal. Mehr

Hotel was close to all Kowloon activities, great entrance and easy access to taxis. Still awaiting a return phone call from Hotel. com regarding credit for my last night? Good hotel, poor service by Hotel. com.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel greatly. It was perfect for my wife to shop around. Close to all important things in Hong kong. I would stay there if I could every time....

I stayed in the GD hotel for two nights. I had not expected much, as they are part of a chain of hotels in mainland China that is not that great. Ok, not great. The negatives of this hotel included (1) hallways not very clean; (2) several things did not work in the room - the safe, one light, cabinet door to reach minifrig (altho I was able to open […] it with effort). The positives were that the staff had a good attitude, the bed was pretty comfortable, and the internet speed not bad (5MB / sec). The shower flow was good, with a high head, but was a tub style, not the walk-in I prefer. The location is great, on Prat Avenue, a short walk from two MTR stations, and in an action-packed area. This hotel is typical of the older 15-17 story hotels in Kowloon - in need of some work, rooms rather small (but relatively not bad in this regard), but great location. For the right price, I'd recommend it. Just don't approach it with high expectations. I did not, and got a little better than I expected. Mehr

we stayed for 6 nights two lots of 3 nights.1st nights room on front floor 11, noisy in parts of night with taxi noise. room good and nice size but lack of hanging space although we did not unpack.we pointed out noise problem. excellent location the hotel is like a 2-3 minute walk to the mtr station and has quite a few bars and restaurants around that are open till late .. staff was very helpful and would go out of the way to do little things that made a difference .the only thing was that the bed was a little hard but i have heard that is good for the back . I was put in the room right next to the elevator. The elevator made a pounding noise like that of a big drum. I was moved to a differnet room at the back of the building, which was much better, but there was the noise from the big air conditioner. It was much better than the firts room though.

this hotel was on the cheaper side, but the quality of the room reflects the price. room very small and bathroom not that modern. toilet flushed slowly, and was worried it would overflow. on the first night, the phone rang 3 times and woke us up. finally, I unplugged it. I complained to the front desk the next morning, but they said someone must have […] been trying to call us! I insisted on another room, and they moves us to an equally unimpressive room next door. so much for service! the area is busy with some convenient quick-food restaurants close by. don't expect too much from this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel’s location is pretty good, as there are numerous restaurants and small/large stores nearby. Most importantly, there are several bus and metro stations by the hotel, which makes it very convenient. My room was a bit small but I was traveling by myself, so that wasn’t an issue. Very convenient, 5 minutes away from MTR station. a Block away from the Airport shuttle. Will surely come back to stay again. Highly recommended!

Guangdong Hotel is located in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui. My wife and I stay there for 1 night, The hotel staff told me that since I reserved it via Hotels.com, we got automatic upgraded to a suite, so the room is actually not that bad. Since I speak Cantonese, I did not have any problem in communicating with the hotel staff. Prat Avenue is busy with […] bars and entertainments locations. The street at night is busy with people who are looking for or providing entertainments / services, We stay there for 1 night only, so it did not bother me that much. If you are going there with family and small children, you might want to select hotel in other neighborhood. Mehr

This is a large, modern hotel with good facilities. We had an executive room which was small by normal global standards, but from what I can tell a good size for Hong Kong. The location is great. It is a couple of minutes walk from the nearest Metro station and Jordan Road. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the Tsim Sha Tsui subway station (A2 exit). It is in the heart of Kowloon, lots of food outlets nearby. Good value for the price and location.

房租價與設备、服务均成正比例。悤體而言，雖非物超所值，但亦可以接受。

酒店整体还可以，只是房间有点小，不过很安静，在尖沙咀这样的闹市区，这间酒店算是很安静了，只是价格有点贵，不过没办法，香港的酒店整体都贵！下次去香港，还会选择住这的。
