Location was walking distance to main bus stop Avon Station where catch ride to Vail or Beaver Creek in less than 20 minutes. The hotel crowds were mostly families who can take advantage of Villas kitchen area and pool areas. From hotel you can see from a mile away Beaver Creek white powder slopes.

Great employees here! Everyone was very helpful. The hotel rooms were great!!! Great vist!!!!

The suite was unexpectedly large and the kitchen and dining area made it easy to enjoy breakfast, snacks and relax in the room. The multiple hot tub options were great after a long day skiing, and the rental shop and mini-market right in the hotel were very convenient! The staff was very friendly and helpful too. A great value!

Friendly staff, bus every 15 min to lifts, close to Vin 48 for happy hour

A minor complaint. Hotel has no national newspapers available, either complimentary or for sale. Take a clue from Marriott!!

What a pleasant surprise this room was a 1 bdrm condo with kitchen, 2 fire places, dining room table, breakfast bar, tv room with pull out couch & great double sink bathroom with huge shower & doors to close off bedroom &/or living room. Hot tub closes at 10 pm and they enforce this rule by turning off your key. Check out time is 10 am which is way too early - they turned off my key after 9:30 am - to my own room! Not enough parking spaces for all cars so I had to leave my car on the street. TVs in rooms are CRTs that look like they were made in the 80s. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was AMAZING. It was beyond clean, quiet and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again and have already told others about it.

This hotel was perfect for us. We couldn't beat the price for what we got - a clean room with a kitchen that was within walking distance of several restaurants and convenient to I-70.

I stayed here in September. It was one of the lower priced hotels in the area, and I was blown away with the value we got. Two room suite, washer dryer, jetted tub, balcony, fireplace. The employees will try a bit to push the timeshare thing on you, but not too hard. It's not in Vail, but Avon is a decent enough town.

we were surprised to find so much room and sad we only had one night in the area. only disappointment was Jacuzzi tub didnt work and neither did fireplace, so couldn't give it a 5

This was an amazing deal and value! The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, w/a huge bathroom and jet tubs. The kitchen was nicely stocked, though we didn't get a chance to fully take advantage. The fitness room was better than 90% of what I've seen elsewhere. I'd definitely return.

My husband and I have stayed at Mountain Vistas 3 different times now, every time has been wonderful! Love having the separate bedroom and kitchen area. This time there wasn't enough covered parking the first night that we were there, but they offered other parking nearby. Can't really complain because parking was free too! Good hotel, the rooms are very nice. The main problem was trying to sleep at night when it is 85 degrees in the room. You cannot change the temp either, only open a window. They need to turn the heat off during the summer and allow some AC.

Where do I begin with my list of problems? I was in Avon to ride a century event -- 100 miles on bike. It started at 6 a.m. so I decided to drive up the night before so I could be well-rested for the ride. My husband came with me so we could have a nice dinner together and spend an evening in the mountains. We arrived at check-in at approx. 8 p.m. […] They asked us what we were in town for and we told them. But they wouldn't extend check-out past 11 a.m. So I would have to check out at 5:30 a.m. since I wouldn't be back from my bike ride till about 1 p.m. When we got there, all I wanted to do was eat and go to bed because it was a 3 hr drive from Denver. Yet somehow, the "concierge" thought it was appropriate to corner us as we walked from the check-in desk back to our car and give us a sales pitch for condos. I politely told him I was tired and wanted to eat and go to sleep. But he went on and on. There was no AC, so the temperature in the unit stayed above 80 degrees until about 1 a.m., after which point it was only tolerable. Yet, it was cooler in the hallways, so everyone had their doors open, which creates other problems. You lose your privacy, there's noise coming from every direction, and smell of dirty diapers wafted down the hall from the multiple rooms full of families with babies with dirty diapers. When you call down to ask for help, they say "Sorry, that's just how it is." And the overhead fan in my bedroom did not work. We barely got 2 hrs of sleep that night because it was too hot to sleep. Although I had reserved a room with a queen bed, I got a double, which they insisted was a queen bed. The cramped circumstances didn't help with the heat problem. In sum, I paid for a night at this hotel, but all I got was a sales pitch and 2 hrs of restless sleep, after which I had to pack up my room and check out. Mehr

What's with the name Sheraton Mountain? Overall it was a great place to stay and a great area, although I remember Avon CO. as nothing more than a gas station (with soft serve cones) and a trailer court. Never know for any mountains to speak of. We did receive a phone call from the front desk for being late in checking out (5 minutes), that was a little […] trivial especially since the maids had their hands full. Mehr

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The room was outstanding! Very clean, comfortable, great location. Several restuarants and a grocery store within walking distance. Hotel staff very willing to help with booking day trips. Only bad thing is in summer. The room is quite warm. Opening the windows helps a lot. From the staff to the room everything was excellent. Will be coming back. Great price. Bob's Place was fun for happy hour and in walking distance. A lot of activities for kids and a great gym.

Outstanding room size & layout. 7th Floor spa just about perfect. Bed in my Rm #1328 was old and bad, furthermore, chairs & sofa not comfortable to sit in, but functional. Rooms facing north, highway not recommended. Will try again next year because the bathroom, kitchen, everything but above negatives was outstanding.

Avon is a gorgeous area that offers tremendous natural beauty. Summer stays are perfect for those who hike and mountain bike. We really enjoyed our daytimes, but the night time left something to desire. Even with its proimity to Beaver Creek (make sure to check out the gelato place in the village)and Vail, everything was shut down at 6PM with the exception […] of the small selection of over priced restuarants. I'm sure that this was do to the season of our trip, but we were hoping for more. As for the hotel, the firness center was excellent. All new equipment and located on the top floor providing better views than any of the rooms. Parking was convenient, directly below the hotel. The room was nice, a little smaller than I had expected, but the bathroom was huge with a nice jet tub inside. No air conditioning, but even in the summer months, the fans provided enough relief from the heat that that wasn't that big of an issue. OVerall this was a nice place to stay, though I still prefer the Breckenridge area to Avon. Mehr

I was excited about the opportunity to stay at this hotel with my family but quickly became disappointed once we checked in at 10:30pm. The outside temp was 50 degrees yet the inside temp was 80+ degrees. When I contacted the front desk to inform them their "water cooler" they had in the room was broken and the pilot light on the fireplace was still […] on pushing heat into the room, she stated her maintenance guy had "gone home for the night. Sorry." I attempted to get another room, get another cooler, get the pilot light turned off, asked for a fan that we could put outside the patio door to cool the room yet all requests DENIED. Probably a good place in the winter, but NOT in the summer. Mehr

Big bathroom, medium size bedroom, comfortable living room, and a nice kitchen/dinning room area. The room was basically like a small apartment having all the amenities you could need.
