It was convenient for Universal. We took the hotel bus,. That was a little confusing to figure out what the bus looked like and where it woud be. It may help to have some kind of sign outside to identify where the bus would be parked. Other than that we had a great experience.

This is a great place to stay while in orlando. It's off the main road so it's quiet but still close enough to walk to some attractions and dinning. Staff is great, room was great!!

This hotel was clean and comfortable. They offer free breakfast and a social hour at the bar.

This hotel located just of Sand Lake Rd. and International Drive is conveniently located. Plenty of dining choices very near by. It offers basic amentities and is really a no frills type of lodging experience.

This hotel was a good pick, and I will stay there on my next travel to orlando.The food was good, an the room was large and comfortable, and its great located, near all shops at international dr.

We booked this hotel on our last night in Florida prior to going home. Due to it being "off season", the hotel clerk graciously gave us a suite room upgrade which was very much appreciated. Our suite room had akitchen which included: stove top (burners did not heat well), a full refrigerator, and sink. Room was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff […] was very friendly and helpful. This is a great hotel to stay at if you want to visit Universal Studios, as we did. The rooms were nice and roomy, there was a pretty good breakfast and a shuttle to the parks. It was a quick ride to Universal, but don't take the shuttle to Disney--it stopped at about 4 other hotels and it took 1.5 hours to get to Disney. It was a good value for the […] price we paid. Mehr

This was a great experience for us. The Hawthorn Suites is a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It is so convenient to all of the attractions. The only thing to be aware of is the advertised free shuttle doesn't start running until too late to take advantage of first opening of the parks. Nice room set up; friendly staff. Snack time during social hour was slim to almost nothing, but we were heading out to eat soon anyway. Not enough towels for our party but could ask at desk. Would have liked ice machine nearby but not a big deal. This was a quiet hotel and we slept well. Breakfast was ok.

Very satisfied with our stay, would certainly stay here again.

Good for the price. B'fast was nice, perhaps a cut above. Staff was EXCELLENT. Room was clean enough, but bathroom floor tile needed tending, some wallpaper was torn in corner, a lock on the bathroom door was missing (hole there), internet was lackluster as usually is the case with most of these places. Stayed for 3 nights family of 4 we all found room/suite, staff and included breakfast was just what we needed for visiting Universal parks. Taste of asia was a really good delivered chinese. Would only recomened this hotel no hidden bad bits. Geoff UK/Portugal

Iv stayed here twice and loved it both times. Great rooms with full kitchens and a very comfy bed. Really good free breakfast buffet too. Very close to universal and a lot of restaurants.

Great place to stay if on a budget. Pool was clean and heated. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds were ok. A little hard. Fresh towels daily.Loved that every room has its own kitchenette. Daily breakfast was a little disapointing but good enough to hold u over till lunch. This hotel was close to everything but far enough away from the main road to relax […] and not hear the traffic. Nice hotel comfortable suite excellent value for price we paid! Breakfast included, pool warm.

Kinda pricey for what you get. Hotels in the 60.00 range are just as good.

Breakfast and 2 queens and a pullout are nice for 6 people traveling to Universal.

Breakfast needs a little upgrading.

We were absolutely impressed with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Orlando! We were put into a newly renovated room that was very stylish, clean and comfortable. The staff (Xavier, Dan, and Jerry) were very gracious and helpful! They even let us into our room a couple hours prior to check in as we arrived at 11am, with no additional fee. Full breakfast in […] the morning, happy hour in the evening with two free beers or sodas ... all complimentary! There is a little gift shop that offers simple snacks for our room, DVD's for rent (only $3 and there is a DVD player in the room already). A free book exchange so if you finish your novel while vacationing you can leave yours and take one of theirs. Free strollers to use during your stay if you have little ones and don't want to pack yours. Free WIFI. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Free shuttle to Universal. They'll even arrange cab service for you! This hotel is our TOP choice for visiting Orlando! Just can't say enough about it. It feels like a family owned bed and breakfast with the service and friendly atmosphere. Mehr

Like:We really enjoyed our room during our 5 days stay. Spacious suite for 3 of us. My parents loved the comfortable king size bed. It's great to have a kitchen but we mostly dine out since there are plenty of great buffet restaurant near by walking distance. The hot breakfast is good enough for it's room rate. Hot items changes everyday so you don't […] get bored of it. The evening reception from 5:30pm to 7:30pm is also good. I love the free beer they serve: very light and not bitter at all. Perfect refreshment after a hot day. This wonderful staff named Joe( I hope it's the right name) from Philadelphia is such a heart warming guy. He performed great hospitality service with sincere which added a bonus on my good impression to this hotel. The heated pool is also very nice and comfy to swim at night. Dislike:The sofa bed was out of shape and sunk in the middle. I had to put the 2 large seat cushion right in the middle so I don't sink while sleeping. Housekeeping did not understand my written request left on the sofa bed and I hove to call the front desk several time for that. The free shuttle bus was in a horrible condition. Way too old and the seat were about to fall apart. It took almost 2 hours to get to Ecpot transportation center from the hotel. Very long time on picking other guests from other hotels. So prepare to spend almost 4 hours in one day on the Disney shuttle. Mehr

My family of four, stayed here for 11 nights. The staff was friendly, the pool was nice and heated, the room was quite all right and the breakfast was outstanding! The hotel was also very well situated. We were surprised it was that good, considering the very low price we payed. We would defenitely stay here again!

The Shuttles are ATROCIOUSLY BAD for Disney or Universal. Up to 40 minutes late, in this rickety old prison style green bus that looks like it's from a 1950's movie. If you are planning to use the shuttles for Disney, go anywhere else! The Hotel is fine, the rooms are nice. Breakfast is a light full breakfast, but gets old VERY fast.

more than expected full kitchen, full service bar, great breakfast.

The price was great and the location was wonderful! However they implied all rooms were suites and that is not the case. Mine was a regular to small hotel room with all the normal amenities and comforts. You will not regret your stay here the staff and service was of a higher standard than expected.

We paid for our room months in advance however, We someone how ended up in a hanicapped room with no fridge. and one king bed. We booked a two queen bed room. I needed ice for our pop and when I went to the front desk to ask where the ice machine was, the clerk informed me that the rooms should have fridges in them. Our room did not. The breakfast we […] heard about was not nearly what we expected.Cold food and a crock pot full of grease on the buffet line. We stayed at a cheaper hotel for two days before this one and we were way more satisfied there. We do not recommend this hotel. Too expensive for what you get. Mehr

This is a great hotel that is very comfortable. We loved the free internet so that we could check in online before our return flight as well as the free breakfast. The hostess made a point of connecting with each guest and was very friendly. Loved the evening cookies also. While not on the main road, the short distance from it made the hotel feel less busy and very quiet compared to the hustle/bustle of International Drive. The room was large enough to accommodate the six in our party. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the cost was very reasonable. Definitely would stay there again.

This hotel was very nice. The staff was nice, the pool and hot tub were clean, and the rooms were nice. The only thing i hated was that the beds were so freakin hard!!! i have a bad back and so this didnt help any..i like soft beds but if you like extra firm then you wont have an issue. the breakfast was ok...im vegan so all i had was a doughnut and […] bagel with lemonade and apple juice. the first room we got wasnt a suite so i upgraded to a king suite. the reason for the upgrade was because it was tiny as hell.other than that i would recommend this hotel to a friend. Convenient location to all attractions. Located on a quiet side street just off International Blvd. Clean room, full kitchen in which everything functioned properly. Televisions are old analog types, but were sufficient.. VCR in room, no DVD player. Did not check out the breakfast buffet or the evening happy hour. The staff was very curcourteous. The shuttle takes a really long time to reach the theme parks. It would be nice if they had a direct one and more frequently.

We loved this hotel! Very family friendly! Extremely courteous staff. Very clean. Very comfortable for all 6 of us and convienient. This will be our hotel of choice for Orlando from now on. We have already recommended it to family and friends!

My stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham was like getting a luxury hotel for half the price. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. They even gave us a little extra perk for a minor inconvenience that was nobody's fault.

The hotel is convenient to local attractions but it is dirty. The fold out bed had a small bug on it that looked like a bed bug, but I'm not sure if it was. The bathroom did not have any shampoo, soap or conditioner and it was very small. I felt like I stayed in a hotel that was made in the fifties and someone tried to renovate it by slapping white […] paint on the walls.. Mehr

Walking distance to int'l blvd. Restaurants, shops, and activities. Clean comfortable and a great hot breakfast.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great time. The staff was very friendly and our room was super clean and nice. They had a nice pool and a cute little basketball court. I would definitely stay here again.
