Das einzige was negativ war ist das es sehr viele Schnacken/Mücken im Zimmer gab. Gegenüber in einer Anlage gab es einen See ein Paradies für Blutsauger. Hatte jede Nacht so um die 10 Stück auf dem Gewissen ;-).

Wir haben zu viert ein Raucherzimmer gebucht mit dem Wunsch wenn möglich auf ein Nichtraucherzimmer wechseln zu können. Leider waren alle NR-Zimmer belegt, das Zimmer roch aber trotzdem nicht störend nach Rauch. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Einrichtungsstil schon ein wenig älter, aber sehr komfortabel. Für Personen war wirklich genug Platz und durch die Kochnische / Wohnbereich saß man auch nicht zu eng aufeinander. Parken konnte man rund um das gesamte Hotel mit mehreren Eingängen was sehr geschickt war. Das Hotel lag nahe einer viel befahrenen Straße, was aber in den Zimmern nicht zu hören war. Alle Attraktionen in Orlando waren bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen und die verschiedenen Einkaufs- und Essenmöglichkeiten (Walmart, McDonalds, Burger King, Dennys...) gegenüber waren echt praktisch. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes (Bagel Joghurt Kaffee O-Saft Tee) aber ausreichend für einen guten Start in den Tag.

Preis - Leistung dieses Hotels sind einfach super. Man hat eine saubere Anlage und saubere Zimmer inkl. Pool. Ein Frühstück ist auch dabei, jedoch ist dies doch sehr spartanisch und einfach. Der Empfang ist freundlich und nett. Wir würden dieses Hotel auf alle Fälle wieder wählen, wenn wir dort in der Gegend unterwegs sind. Alle Attraktionen sind in bis zu 25 Minuten erreichbar. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Poolseite, welche von der Lautstärke her gut waren.

"Hawthorne Suites"
This hotel was very nice. The staff was nice, the pool and hot tub were clean, and the rooms were nice. The only thing i hated was that the beds were so freakin hard!!! i have a bad back and so this didnt help any..i like soft beds but if you like extra firm then you wont have an issue. the breakfast was ok...im vegan so all i had was a doughnut and […] bagel with lemonade and apple juice. the first room we got wasnt a suite so i upgraded to a king suite. the reason for the upgrade was because it was tiny as hell.other than that i would recommend this hotel to a friend. "Hawthorne Hotel is great value for the money"
Convenient location to all attractions. Located on a quiet side street just off International Blvd. Clean room, full kitchen in which everything functioned properly. Televisions are old analog types, but were sufficient.. VCR in room, no DVD player. Did not check out the breakfast buffet or the evening happy hour. "Excellent hotel"
The staff was very curcourteous. The shuttle takes a really long time to reach the theme parks. It would be nice if they had a direct one and more frequently.

We loved this hotel! Very family friendly! Extremely courteous staff. Very clean. Very comfortable for all 6 of us and convienient. This will be our hotel of choice for Orlando from now on. We have already recommended it to family and friends!

My stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham was like getting a luxury hotel for half the price. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. They even gave us a little extra perk for a minor inconvenience that was nobody's fault.

The hotel is convenient to local attractions but it is dirty. The fold out bed had a small bug on it that looked like a bed bug, but I'm not sure if it was. The bathroom did not have any shampoo, soap or conditioner and it was very small. "Hawthorn"
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great time. The staff was very friendly and our room was super clean and nice. They had a nice pool and a cute little basketball court. I would definitely stay here again.

"Just.... weird"
I've done a ton of traveling, and the Hawthorn was definitely an oddball hotel. The elevators are set up really weird - the most traveled area near the front desk only has 1 elevator, while the far end that's least traveled and furthest from the entrance has 2. It leads to a ton of waiting around or else several more minutes of walking after a long […] day at the park. The pool was extremely over-chlorinated and burned our eyes. Breakfast was kind of gross, but free. The a/c always seemed to turn off for about an hour at about 3 am, even though we had it set to stay on. The room heats up quickly without a/c, and it woke me up consistently every night. On the plus side - the bedroom has a door that closes, which is great for privacy. The bathroom has 2 entrances - 1 from living room & 1 from bedroom, so you don't have to walk through the kids' sleeping area while you're getting ready for bed. It was clean. "Happy hour" was a hit with our kids - everyone gets 2 drinks each (just soda for the kiddos!) and a snack such as popcorn or chips are served. If you like chain restaurants, there's several within walking distance - Fridays, Chilis, Crapplebees.... The "kitchen" is basically set up to make spaghetti or heat up soup. Don't expect to make any gourmet meals while staying here. It's about a $10 cab fare to Universal, although there's a shuttle available at limited times with multiple stops along the way. Mehr
Overall it was okay! The pool needed less chlorine. It hurt my childrens eyes for a long time after swimming. Breakfast needed a little more variety.

The reason I booked this hotel for full kitchen. but when I open this room, kitchen is very tiny. I don't think it would say full kitchen. refriger is full but stove top has only 2 heater. Even more, electrical coil stove top never hot enough to cook.

The room is small for the price, not kid friendly, evening reception was a joke, 2 drinks max & stale pretzels, have to buy juice for the kids, they started taking away breakfast at 9:55 while we were still in line. lots of hotels in the same area same price much better service

They have a very nice free breakfast buffet every morning that saves a lot of time and money, great for kids with cereal and yogurt every morning plus either eggs, pancakes, waffles, or omeletes and either bacon, sausage,etc. Nice, free, on time shuttle to all the parks. Clean rooms and good front desk service. The only thing I really missed is they […] do not have an ice machine or any vending on the floors. The only way to get ice is to take cups down to the front desk and ask them. They do have a very small shop next to the front desk with candy, chips, drinks, etc. Would definitely book here again. this is not luxury, but clean, safe, off the busy street, quiet. Nice to have the kitchen & table, very convenient to many restaurants, shops, convention center & parks. Even happy hour drinks, small store, and laundry room. no idea on value of shuttle. Free breakfast was worth every penny...one day with real scrambled eggs was good, coffee was decent. "Hawthorne Suites, great room, lousy breakfast"
The room was great for our family of 5. The air conditioning worked very well. The only complaint we had was that the pool was too small and that breakfast was terrible.

Plus This Hotel was very convinient for International Drive etc., and had exellent pool and facilities. The Free Happy Hour each evening was a bonus as was the hot breakfast. Minus Housekeeping knocked on our room at 8.30 am asking when we would ckeck out, which was set at 11 am. So why bother guest's. This is the first Hotel that we have stayed […] in that did NOT have a storage shelf in the Bathroom around the basin, everything had to be kept on the floor.!! In our view this Hotel was a tad expensive for the facilities offered. Mehr

Although it appears a little older of a facility, the hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay here again while in Orlando. It's only a short drive from all the attractions in town and easy to get on and off the freeway.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the suite at Hawthorne. I would definitely stay here again while in Orlando. Having the kitchen was such a bonus. We even grilled steaks on the BBQ! The happy hour and breakfast were nice added touches.

I have just returned from staying at this hotel for 10days. I found the hotel to be very clean with helpful staff. The breakfast was good and included in the price. Free bus shuttle to both Universal and Disney was great... Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will defo return to stay there again.
My youth group stayed one night, but we really enjoyed the size of the room, the pool, and the basketball court... we use this hotel again

"Love it"
I have a family of 4 and we regularly visit Orlando. We've stayed here at least on 5 different occasions and we love it everytime. The suites are great because the kids can watch tv and we can relax in the separate room. The kitchen is very useful especially the fridge. Free breakfast is always a major plus as it cuts down on our food expenses. I'll […] stay here again and again. Btw free beer and wine in the lobby between 5-7 pm. Mehr
"HARD beds, broken A/C, dangerous shuttle"
It was late when we checked in and we were exhausted. The room temp was 86 degrees. The front desk said it would cool down eventually. We waited and had unpacked and gotten ready for bed by the time maintenance discovered that a vital portion of the A/C unit had been removed. We were moved to another room, and the A/C worked well in the new room. However, […] the mattress in the new room was so hard that I couldn't sleep from the pain in my shoulders and hips (side-sleeper). The next day, before we left for Sea World, I asked if there were any other softer beds in the hotel. I was told that all the mattresses were the same. I asked if they could put down a mattress pad, and was assured they would. When we arrived back at the room that night, I saw that they had placed 2 thin mattress covers (not pads) on the bed, which did nothing to make the bed softer. 2 bad nights of sleep, with long days at the parks = crabby mom. The breakfast was cold pancakes one day, which we were told to heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. The next day there was corned beef hash, which was actually good. The shuttle was a nightmare. The driver arrived 15 min. late to pick us up and drove unsafely. He pulled out across 3 lanes of traffic as if he expected oncoming traffic to stop (they did, thankfully). He was 45 min. late to pick us up at Sea World, and drove crazy back to the hotel, too. (Like making lefthand turns from the righthand lane because the left turn lane was crowded.) I felt like kissing the ground when we got out. Overall, the property was clean, but there is no excuse for being assigned a room where maintenance is in progress. There is also no point in staying at a hotel where the beds are so hard that you can't sleep. If you like soft beds and safe shuttles, look elsewhere. Mehr

My friend and I enjoyed our suite at Hawthorn. The rooms were decorated nicely. TVs worked. We got help bringing bags to the room. I would have liked advance notice of when shuttles leave for Universal. We arrived too late in the day to take one, and this is one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. My impression is that we could catch a shuttle […] throughout the day -- an impression that could be changed on the hotel's site. perhaps to say, "9 a.m. shuttle daily to Universal" Mehr

When planning a short vacation for a couple and their 4 adult children, timing and efficiency is a must. This hotel provided everything to help make this endeavor a success. The location of the hotel is perfect for individual guest to venture out on their own - many sites and dining experiences are within walking distance. Shuttle service is provided […] free of charge to the most popular area attractions. This service was friendly and timely. The hotel provided hot and cold breakfast in the morning as well as a beverage/munchie manager's reception in the evening. Altho not quite the calaber as the other "Suite's", the kids were able to fill themselves up a bit before venturing out to our day. The pool, hot tub, game room and excercize area were all clean and inviting and helped to fill the gaps between daily events. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with plumbing the first day of our stay and worried that we would have to relocate, but the staff made immediate adjustments and we barely skipped a beat. When more items were needed or we posed questions, our needs were met with friendliness and efficiency. Over all, I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and relatives and would consider returning in the future. Mehr

"Christmas Vacation"
My family and I went to this hotel for our Christmas vacation. The check in was quick, our room got upgraded to a suite because they over booked our room. The elevator was a little slow (the one away from the lobby was slightly faster). The breakfast was kind of crappy. The food was cold, so if you wanted hot food, you would have to wait 5 or so minutes […] for the microwave. My family and I were not sure if it was just our room or the entire hotel, but the water pressure and temp. was horrible. There was barely any pressure and the water was luke warm at best. The hotel was very easy to find, and it was very close to universal studios which was where we were going that day. From our room window we could see the hulk roller coaster. The room and the hotel was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, our room had a king size bed and a living room and a small kitchen. We are content of this Hotel, everything nice and good. Also, when we had checked out, and on our way to the Airport, we realized that one of our mobile phone was missing. We returned and the assistant handed it to us. We were very happy. But when we took the Computer out of its case, my husband remembered that when he unplugged it in our room he did […] not take our ,,thing" which changes our electricity to the USA electricity. I do not know what it is called there. It is a white plug that changes our Woltz til USA Woltz ?? Anyway.. I will buy a new one when I go again to the States ;-) Mehr

"Great hotel in excellent location"
This Hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the staff friendly. We had a King suite which was extremely comfortable. The bed was fantastic, full kitchen which was greatr even though we did not actually cook. The fridge was very handy for having cold drinks and also storing food for bringing to the theme parks.The hotel […] is I would recomend this hotel to anyone heading 20 minutes walk from Universal studios and only 5 mins from shops and restuarants Mehr
"Hawthorne Suites - get what you pay for"
I got this hotel at a great rate. The beds were comfy, the HVAC system was quiet, free breakfast in the morning, and very close to Universal. The hotel itself is a bit outdated in regard to fixtures and trim, old tube TVs in the rooms, ancient plumbing, etc. But all we used it for was to crash at night. The rest of the time was spent enjoying the city. […] So if you want a basic place for a good price, I recommend it. If you want a bit of luxury and pampering, this is not the place for you. Mehr
