Admiral Inn by the Falls - Niagara Falls

CheckIn: We´ved check in and want to upgrade to a Jakuzi Rook. The Girl at the Front Deskt told me i could only bokk the upgrade at Expedia because i have bokked over Expedia. After 10 Minutes i found a manager who could do the upgrade uncomplicated. The Pool: Looked nice on the Pictures - looked terrible in real. You could hardly see the ground. Cloudy […] and dirty. A mess. The Outside: Old Chairs standing around for the Smokers. Neighbors had a Party till 3 a.m - and old Cigarettes, Bottels and Cartons all around. Bad. The Room: We bokked 2 Room´s. One for the Kids and one for us. We had to look into 3 Rooms bevore we found a room you can hardly stay in. Stains in the Covers, Stains in the Matress - Bathroom Doors that want shut, Stains at the Floor and Stuff under the Bed and in the Corners. Dirt all over the Room and hardly a spot which was hygienic. We had to clean the YacuziTube to be able to sit in there with a good feeling. We try to talk us and the kids in a good mood about this hotel. If we would booked and payed those rooms we wouldnt stay in here. And after all - we booked 2 Nights and only stayed 1 Night because it was a great mess. Our Results - there ist no Price worth staying in such a "Hotelroom". Even 1 Dollar ist to much pay for it. Never ever again. I have been to the Falls 10 Years ago. Now its a big Tourist Trap. Nothing that compares to the beautyful nature there - mostly shops, rides, wax museum, 10 Shirts 10 Dollar and so on. Realy bad to see. Mehr

Hotel is old and in need of major updating to rooms. No hairdryers, towels were small and old, nowhere to hang clothes, old tube tvs, warped, hard mattresses . Front desk staff extremely nice and accommodating. Did the job for one night.

I was attracted by the price, but you get what you pay for. The place was run-down and under construction. Our rooms smelled of booze and smoke. The bathroom door was busted and would not close and windows would not open. There are no phones in the room and TV reception was from the 1960s. Our stay was so bad, we never spent the night. We checked in […] for 3pm and left at 10:30pm and headed back to Toronto. Only positive is the location, good central location and walking distance to attractions, but based on that, spend the extra $20-$40 and stay somewhere else. Mehr

The hotel was dirty and didnt seem to have been cleaned the first thing I did was go buy Lysol wipes and wipe the whole place down. Bottom line is if you want somewhere close to the attractions it's only 5 minutes to the falls and that is the only plus side about this place. I will not be returning to the admiral inn

Admiral Inn is located halfway between the tourist areas of Clifton Hill and Fallsview Casino. Both areas are within walking distance and the Falls itself is also not far. There is free parking and a Mediterranean/Thai restaurant offering good meals at very reasonable prices in an area where many restaurants charge a premium. The room was clean, it is VERY close to everything, and VERY friendly staff. The hotel itself looks a bit older and could do for a face lift, but it's a great place to stay. I would come back again as it is really good for the price.

Very very bad Hotel, I don't recomended to anyone. First, they gave a room without heat, I fought with them and asked them to give me back my money. Then they transferred me to a heated room.

We stayed here for 1 nights in January. Great location conveniently located near Clifton Hill area. Te Casino is about a 10 minute walk. Quiet location. Since it's a small hotel, it's located amongst many other hotels and motels. Rooms are small, but we expected that in a Niagara Falls. Very clean. Most of the hotels in Niagara Falls are insanely expensive. The great Fall is less than a 10 minute walk and there are lots of shops, restaurants and tourist attraction along the way. Yes, the rooms are small but what do you expect? We only had two problems - the bed was really firm and our backs hurt the next morning and the drainage in the shower […] was really bad. After about 5 minutes in the shower, you had to turn the water off to let the water drain, otherwise it would overflow onto the floor. Specious room, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous. The distance to the falls was not too far and gave you enough exercise to and from. Free parking included. The day when we arrive the wifi wasn’t working. Rest all was fine.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a night and it was actually not a bad experience. The staff was courteous and helpful enough. We requested a late checkout and we got it. The room was clean……bed and bed sheets were neat and tidy… bathroom was in fine condition. We booked a room with 2 queen beds and a water park passes and got a great deal. Well worth the price, friendly staff, nice hotel w/all amenities. Kid loved it and so did we. The best thing was that it was walking distance to Clifton Hill, restaurants and the falls.

Biggest room I ever had any motel, unlike some of the reviews I read on the website, it was just the opposite. There was some maintenance work was going on may be some renovation! but my stay was as comfortable as it is suppose to be! Everything was on the walking distance. Staff was friendly but the Inn lacked anything that would make someone say "Nice". Was taken up to the room by the man at the front desk, who then inspected the room in front of me. Of the 5 lightbulbs in the room 4 needed to be replaced, but he returned and only replaced 2 of those 4. The room had a old cigarette smell as if it hadn't been smoked in […] for a year or so, but non-smoking was requested. When I asked for a non-smoking room he mis-interpreted me (due to language barrier) and recommended we take the smoke alarm off the wall to smoke in the room. This is a huge by-law offence and a heavy fine. All in all a cheap Inn for a reason as you get what you pay for, just don't take any smaller kids as we were all 19 and could only imagine how scary a place like that could be at 8. Mehr

Honeymoon Suite - New Years Eve - December 31, 2012. First thing noticed that the room had recently been painted by someone that didn't know how to paint as it was on the ceiling and the floor and all over the tile too. But that is cosmetic I can live with that in a Motel. The only towels provided were 2 bath towels, no facial towels or even tissues. […] The Shower wall (shower stall, no tub as advertised) was cracked in several places and appeared to be mold forming in some areas. All night long, the water was running from another room and could be heard in our room. We didn't notice the bed until after midnight when we got back to the room, the sheets had already been slept in they were disgustingly dirty, the pillows were also dirty and had a disgusting smell to them, the bed itself was like sleeping on a plank of wood with no cushion. We had brought a blanket with us to sleep under as we know that the blankets are normally not washed anyway (although sheets usually are). So we used the blanket to sleep on top of and used our t-shirts to cover the pillows and had nothing to cover us. I must say that this was the Honeymoon Suite, and when checking in, the guy at the counter said this room was in better condition than the rest. Now for the kicker, when I went to check out in the morning and advise the staff about all these disappointments, the office was closed and no one answered the door bell, there was a note on the door that read, leave the door key in the mailbox. It was disgusting!!!! The picture it shows online looks like it is not that bad but when we pulled up we were disappointed. Walking in the room was very dusty. Bed was hard as hell. Had to ask twice for an extra towel. Bed was soooo gross that we did not want to get in it. We slept on top of covers. The bottom sheet did not cover the mattress so the […] sides were exposed and a layer of foam was put on top of mattress and did not help whats so ever with softness. Asked for a blanket and they either did not have one or would not give it. The heart shaped jet tub only bubbled for 3 min then stopped(timer for that long?")
