Not happy with the standard of entertainment in the hotel abox tv with channel One to four n rubbish signal toilet n bath room a state when we arrived

Me and three brothers enjoyed our stay for two twin rooms for a Saturday night. We chosed this hotel for the price alone and not for comfort so when we got to the hotel we weren't expecting much. The room was basic and the furniture was out off date but there was a shower/bathroom again as in the title I wouldn't probably stay here more then one day. The […] bar was ok.. Nothing to write home about tho Transport... Well the city centre is quite far away but there are Loads of taxi firms to call make sure you ask for the price first.. Cost us £14 to get to the Ricoh and £10 on the way back same route. Overall 3 out of ten if your expecting high standards in interior this place isint for you. Staff helpful and are happy to give advice about the local area Would use again but I would pay a bit more for a hotel closer to the town next time Mehr

We have stayed here several times in the past and this has been by far our worst stay, when we arrived on the Sunday there were very few parking places available but most of the vehicles were on fly and park deals, We were checked in by a pleasant receptiionist who gave us the key to our room on the first floor. Although the room was clean and tidy […] it does have several problems, The room was cold, The room is over the drive so you can here cars arriving at all times with doors banging from taxis etc from the reception, The room has adjoining doors to the rooms either side, and the walls are paper thin, you can here everything that is said and done in the adjacent rooms, indeed we were woken at 4:30am Monday morning and had to put the tv on to hide the moans and groans of the couple next door ( I shall leave it to your imagination what they were doing). We asked if we could change to a different room to be told by the receptionist (who incidently, must of been trained at Ronnie and Reggie Krays school of charm) that no others were availble, despite there hardley being anyone actually staying at the hotel, As it was the other couple booked out Monday, We had no sleep on the mon night partly because of the lumpy bed, but mainly because of the wind whistleing through the windows and because the room is directly over the drive it sounds like a hurricane is blowing underneath you. The tv only has six channels despite the area being on digital tv.From the Wed parking was very limited as crufts was in at the nec, some of us had to park on the main road. Dogs were allowed in the rooms which was a nightmare, we had dogs either side that would yap and bark at all times, we could smell dog wee outside our room on a couple of days, we also noticed also noticed dog mess on the steps to the reception which someone had stepped in and trailed up the steps. If you must have dogs clean up after them not just leave it around the hotel car parks. We checked out on the saturday, We will Mehr

For the price the hotel offers excellent value. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.

I stayed in the Coventry Hill for one night as I had business in the locality. I booked it because it was cheap and available at short notice. The hotel was very run down. The room was not very nice. It smelled of smoke and the bed was too soft. There was tea and coffee though and the shower was fine. The room had a lack of plug sockets and there was […] no WiFi. The breakfast was good, a hot and cold buffet. Service was friendly but the lifts and doors seemed to be I'm need if repair. I can see why it was cheap but I will pay the extra next time for comfort and convenience. Mehr

hotel receptionist was lazy and could not be bothered , bad attitude welcoming guests , rooms need modernising , wallpaper falling off, breakfast was hit and miss ,

The hotel is fine, very nice if fact but I think it could be better signed as although it is right by the main road it is quite tricky to drive too (maybe just me).

It's a dump never ever stayed in sutch a bad hotel!

Britannia Coventry Hill Hotel - Let's start with the good things first: The hotel is conveniently located a stone's throw away from the A45 and within 15 minutes bus/taxi ride to Coventry city centre, so people who want to avoid staying in the city will find it convenient. Because of the issues faced (see below), we were offered free breakfast and […] the pre-payment for breakfast was put back on the card. Well that was it for the good things, now the bad ones: The hotel definitely has seen better days - it is not well maintained at all. To make things worse, on the weekend we were there, the heating and hot water system had broken down the night before, but a letter was pushed under the door apologising for the fault only around 24 hours later! They couldn't get anyone to fix the fault, so the stay was in a very uncomfortable cold room with no heating or hot water. I had to sleep in all my clothes, wearing thermals and putting on double duvets as it was a cold weekend. No hot water meant it was not even possible to take a shower. The bathrooms are not very well maintained either, with the cistern top being from another size cistern which did not fit properly and mould on the grouts! The rooms are not even cleaned out properly after stays as to my surprise (call it shock), when I wanted to place some personal contents in the drawers, I found two ladies panties and a sanitary napkin in the drawer! I complained about it and they cleaned it out. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, even though the stay is quite cheap and I am certainly not going back there! Mehr

We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed, This hotel represents excellent value for money. We stayed six nights this time at a reduced price as we booked this trip late. On arrival the receptionist was very polite and makes checking in easy, we were given the key to our room and the security number to the lobby doors which […] lead to the lifts and stairs, This is changed during the week so the hotel is very secure. The room was clean and tidy and serviced on a daily basis, with tea, coffee and toiletries being replaced as required. The sheets were spotless (as you would expect) and the bed comfy. Cheap but needs updating. Fine in the room. Good value. Don't think you could do better for the money. Rooms are quite small inside but clean.

An extremely good value stay - room rate was great and then I upgraded to include breakfast for £5.00 extra. My stay fulfilled exactly what I needed for the business trip and I would stay again.

If early Tom Waits was still early on in his career and British he would sing songs about the Britannia Coventry Hill hotel. Got there about midnight, was deathly silent. Reception area looks like it hasn't been redecorated in about 20 years. The cheap feel has a kind of homely appeal to it though, like a mix of an old peoples home and Christmas in […] the era of the iron lady. The man behind the counter was friendly enough, he got us drinks from the bar, which was closed, and although the first room he gave us keys to was occupied already (!), he sorted this out quick enough. As we went up the lift, there was a man with an actual gun in a holster. He probably wasn't a policeman. He held the door for us though, which was nice. The room was clean, and everything we expected for the price. We didn't stay for breakfast. It's alright for a night, but don't book your wedding or any other kind of romantic event here unless you really couldn't care less about your relationship. Mehr

I was well pleased with my stay at the hotel. I got a good room rate and what I got surpassed what I paid, in my opinion. I got the upgrade breakfast rate, which, while not great, was no less than what I paid for. I would not hesitate to use this property again.

For the price, the hotel is value for money. The rooms have everything you need including room service everyday. There is also a restaurant downstairs offering cheap good quality meals. We stay here on a regular basis and although looking like a block of 1960s flats from the outside, we have always found this hotel clean and comfortable on the inside, The receptionist is always pleasant as are the cleaners and other staff. The rooms are always cleaned on a daily basis with coffee, tea etc replenished and towels are changed daily. This […] can be a busy hotel as it is used by a lot of coach parties but this has never been a problem for us even at meal times. For the price that we paid this is a excellent hotel to stay at and we will have no hesitatiion in booking here next time we visit Coventry. Mehr

Of the Trust House Forte Post House Hotels era, the hotel is now dated. But it is clean, it is cheap, and the breakfast food was good. Would recommend as a stopover against pricier Premier Inns.

We found the women behind reception rude and unapproachable, also you are unable to book breakfast on the special offer for just one morning we had to book it for both days you are staying which is inconvenient as we were not around for breakfast on the second morning

Room clean and comfortable if a little dated. Fine for the price paid. Food O.K. but a little like school dinners. Caters mainly for coach parties. Convenient for N.E.C.

hotel is a bit worn and needs bringing up to the noughties,otherwise a decent place to stay for business and leisure, didnt have breakfast this time but last time the food was spot on, would go back ( and keep on doing) anytime i work in the area.

We have stayed here several times before, this time for five nights and find the hotel very affordable and pleasant. There were seven coaches each night we stayed and was no problem with meals despite being extremely busy. Entertainment was provided most nights. The receptionist is always polite and friendly as are most the staff here, A credit to the […] management and Britannia hotels. The hotel is always clean and tidy as are the rooms, plenty of tea and coffee are provided in the room and rooms are serviced daily with clean towels, coffee being replenished etc. This time we were on the sixth floor, plenty of hot water was provided quickly for baths and showers. The rooms now have some free view channels on the tv. The room was clean and tidy, The bed was comfy and the room was very warm but we had no problem sleeping with the window open despite the A45 running near by. Checking in and out was very easy and quick. The only complaints we had was the fire alarm going off at four am when someone was smoking on the seventh floor but the management must be commended here on the orderly evacuation of the hotel without causeing any panic etc. All the staff knew exactly what they were doing. the other complaint i have is that we arrived back at the hotel early one afternoon, the middle lift was already out of order and the other two lifts stuck on floor three and floor eight, as we cimbed the stairs a trolley had been placed between the open doors on floor three by a cleaner who promptly came running up to the lift and jumped in when she heard us discussing the doors being jammed open. Its not funny having to climb six flights of stairs, especially when you are not that young. Despite this we will stay again and can certainly recommend this hotel to others to others. Mehr

Could use internet in the rooms and maybe shampoo carpets a bit specially in the elevators. Guess most older hotels in Northern Europe are like this. BUT the staff is very helpful and a couple even remembered me from a previous trip in 2008. Location is close to friends I have in the area so will stay there again if I do return to the area. From the outside the hotel looks like a sixties block of flats, There is a large car park for visitors. We stayed for six nights at a discount rate which was good value for money. Inside the reception area it is clean and tidy, with tea coffee etc provided in the lounge, although i presume this is meant for the holiday coaches. We were greeted in the reception by a very polite receptionist who checked us quickly and directed us to the lifts and our room on the third floor. The room was clean and tea etc had been provided. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room had a tv in it but this only had five basic channels and a news channel, the remote never worked.The bathroom was spotless but only small bars of soap were provided which we kept losing down the sink plug hole, the liquid soap/gel left a smell of coconut which may be alright for the women but wouldnt recommend it for the men. The towels were changed, the room was cleaned and tea coffee soap etc replenished on a daily basis, The cleaners are a credit to Brittania hotels, My only criticsm about the room was there was no work space. We checked out easily on the saturday morning. The staff are pleasant, smartly dressed and a credit to the hotel, the interior is kept clean and tidy as are the rooms, which more than make up for the tired outside appearence. We would have no hesitation in staying here again and recommending it to others.. Mehr

We chose this hotel after using it before and it was everything we expected staff were helpful and their park and ride by taxi is very convenient for east mids aiport.

We were unfortunate in that the central heating in our room could not be turned on and the fire alarm sounded early in the morning. But the hotel itself was well situated for our needs and we would be prepared to use it again. Although the hotel was probably built in the late 60's/early 70's it was in good order and the decor was I expect the original although very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is used as a tour bus stop over so the people were caterd for and listening to bingo being played whilst having a meal in the restraunt isn't everyones […] cup of tea. At the weekend there were no bus stop overs but the tea and coffee available in the lounge also stopped I assume this was put on for the buses although it was handy when I had bar snacks. Overall the hotel was a good place to stop in our instance as we were working at the Autosport show at the NEC so we were not there during the day but it had ample parking and suited our needs. Mehr

We were greeted by a pleasant receptionist on check in, reception was clean, we were given a room on the fifth floor and were directed to the three lifts or stairs upto our floor. The lifts and corridors were clean. Our room was quite comfortable and here was plenty of tea and […] coffee provided, the room was clean and tidy and was serviced everyday of our stay,The towels were changed daily however the sheets were not changed in seven nights. The room was very warm, we had to open the windows despite it being december, The only other fault was it took ages for the water to warm up in the sink, however it was almost instant in the shower and red hot from the bath taps, The cleaners were polite and thorough as they cleaned the room. Only basic tv is provided, there is no freeview or sky tv.The hotel is well placed for visiting both Coventry and Birmingham although bus service is poor and i would recomend that you hire a car, this also allows you to visit places like Warwick, Kenilworth and Stratford upon Avon We can certainly recommend this hotel and shall stay here again in the future. Looking at the outside of the hotel it could do with a clean but once inside it is very pleasant, checking in and out was very easy,the receptionist was friendly, the room was ready for our arrival and clean, the sheets and pillow cases were clean and changed during our six night stay, the room was cleaned every day tea and coffee were provided in the […] room and more was available at the reception if you wanted it. The cleaners were polite and friendly and done a good job of cleaning the room The room was warm and we had to leave the windows open at night despite it being the end of September and no heating on in the room. Hot water was always available for a bath or shower although it did take a couple of minutes to warm up first thing in the morning. Food is always available and is reasonable quality, although i can recommend the Rainbow in Allesley Village about a ten minute walk where the food is excellent. We were on the sixth floor but the lifts were always available after a short wait. The hotel is next to the A45 which is convienient for Coventry or Birmingham and traffic noise can be a problem in the rush hours if you have the window open. I can recommend staying here,We shall be staying here again in November, overall we had a pleasent stay, Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, The rooms are clean and it makes a good base to visit Coventry and Birmingham. Excellent access to Birmingham International Airport for a very early morning flight.

I think the hotel and staff need a shake up. Often the lifts were not working and we were on the 6th floor so up and down stairs a lot. Hotel is tired and staff are cold, whole experience lacks personality hotel and staff. The room was ok, clean and quiet.

Manager was charming and helpful as was the receptionist who checked us in but sadly from there it went downhill. bed had springs almost poking through ,so very uncomfortable. dirty pillows without lining cases. dirty windows. Just generally run down.

Gedateerd hotel. Volgens omschrijving centraal gelegen, maar uiteindelijk een kwartier met de bus verwijderd van het centrum. Had 3 jaar geleden al gerenoveerd moeten worden.

Passer for de som ikke er så veldig opptatt av mat og tilbud til barn.
