Ramada Inn and Suites New Orleans Airport - Kenner

Staff was very helpful in getting checked in early. Location about 2 miles from airport. Not much for eating choices in the area. Breakfast was simple choices.

TRIED TO CHECK IN AN HOUR EARLY GIRL NEVER LOOKED JUST TOLD ME NO ROOMS WERE CLEAN YET CAME BACK IN HOUR NEW GIRL ON DUTY SHE TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF US THE FIRST GIRL NO EFFORT AT HOTEL VERY NICE

The room was a fairly typical hotel room. We requested a non-smoking room and was given one, but it smelled like smoke. The TV didn't work and the climate control unit sometimes wouldn't turn off. The hotel itself seemed fine and the front desk staff was pleasant, but I thought the hotel overpriced given the problems we saw. We were looking for an airport location with a restaurant close or attached and the Ramada was perfect . . . Good southern menu at the attached restaurant with a hot complimentary breakfast at this Ramada.

It was very nice, clean and people were very friendly.

I booked this hotel for 2 reasons - shuttle and attached restaurant/bar. Shuttle was not available when I arrive at the airport (stops running by 10:30 pm) and the bar/restaurant was closed. Room had a musty odor.

Stayed for BCS championship. Great value, clean hotel, and five minutes to airport. Met my needs...

The staff is semi-friendly. If you are near the lobby, you may experience the late night loud talking of the security guy that chats with the front desk person. If you are a light sleeper, it will not make you happy. If you are a sound sleeper, you don't need to worry about it.

clean and friendly,resonable rates, would stay there again.

great price for single night... room had fridge, micro wave etc... room was clean and accomodating but the bed and pillow were poor quality.

I was looking for a hotel close to airport and this fit the bill. The room was large and clean the staff was helpful. The bed was too hard for my comfort ans I was not impressed with the breakfast, everything was cold. For the price, I would recommed for a short stay close to the airport.

Fire alarm went of at 2am. First room smelled like smoke, second one did as well. Dirty room and floor. I will never stay there again. Gross

The hotel was neat and clean. Overall staff helpful. Front desk evening needs to remember to be a little friendlier to travel weary guests. Restaurant located next door, VooDoo BBQ Grill has decent fare. Expense of restaurant in line with Applebee's, Chili's or O'Charley's. Food about same style. AC noisy. I will reccomend everything except the breakfast.

The front desk lady is really rude and she took twenty minutes just to find our reservations. She wasn't very nice at all and should find a job where she doesn't have to deal with people as she obviously doesn't like them much.

The Ramada Inn on St James (off Airline Drive) near the New Orleans International Airport is a newish hotel, inside rooms and elevators and pretty nice. The free internet sucks though (not enough bandwidth I think for all of the useage makes it painfully agonizingly slow). Breakfast is typical of continental type breakfasts (cereal, rolls, toast, and […] instant oatmeal) but it is free. There is a good BBQ restaurant adjacent to the hotel so you don't have to go anywhere to eat a real meal at lunch or dinner time. The hotel is clean, nice outside pool area, good shampoo and soap in bathroom. Only complaint, beds are very basic non-pillowtop which are more common in mid-range hotels and up and not enough pillows but they do have double sheeting. There was one spot of peeling paint in the shower in our room but overall the bathroom was nice. Overall I'd put this Ramada in the upper 25% of their nationwide properties as there is a lot more variance in Ramada Inn's than in some other hotel chains. Thumbs up from me. Mehr

Terribly disappointed with this facility. In preparation for my aunt's funeral we chose to stay at this hotel. Upon check in the receptionist and shuttle driver were nice and went out of their way to assist. However, the beds were a bit on the hard side. We had a room for 3 but towels for 2, and when we called to request additional, we had to wait they […] were washing some more. We had to leave but returned to the dirty towels on the floor, beds unmade, trash cans still full, no clean cups, and clean towels in a plastic bag by the door. We called to complain and were informed no manager on duty until Monday (this was Saturday morning). We were then instructed to throw the towels out the door if there was a problem or wait till the morning for house keeping. the following morning housekeeping approached one of us asking why we complained when we never asked them to clean our rooms. NEED I SAY MORE. Oh, and there was no reception for cell phone usage unless you walked out the hotel and into the field across the way. Mehr

The service was absolutely the best. We had some other issues with our previous hotel and the staff at Ramada Inn got us a room at the last minute and took care of us from beginning to end. On my next trip to New Orleans I definitly plan to stay there!

Ramada name with motel rooms. Bugs in the room, 19inch non-flatscreen tv, some of the channels would not work. The hotel looks great from the outside, but is nothing more than a cheap motel room in the inside. They use very dim lighting to hide flaws and a automatic fragrance sprayer to keep the hotel smelling good. Once we were able to check in everything was fine. The room was relatively clean, bathrooms had more hair that I'm used to handling but I got past this. The one area that bugged me was the temperature of the room. Regardless of what the A/C was set on (high cool, low cool, etc) the room stayed lukewarm. Made for a less than comfortable night. The hotel was OK. The attached restaurant had pretty good BBQ food. Our room was not cleaned well with cookies on the floor and water spots on the mirror in the bathroom.

for just a room to sleep in it's adequate...I would basically say everything is average, nothing great nothing terrible.

This Ramada is very close to the airport, so it is convenient, however, that's about all it has going for it. My room was clean, but there weren't enough towels, and upon check in I was not given a parking permit. By chance I happened to overhear another guest ask about it, so I did so. The "breakfast" they serve is horrible...a few pastries and coffee. […] I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of others around that I have to believe would be better than this one. Mehr

Never again! When we pulled down the comforter in the room we discovered that the sheets were wrinkled and had traces of body hair. Obviously, unchanged since the previous guest had departed. Housekeeping was closed for the night but the hotel did provide clean sheets which we changed ourselves. Next, the toilet was backed up. Another call to the desk […] and they send someone with a plumber's friend. Makes one wonder whether the room had been cleaned at all since anyone cleaning the toilet would have noticed that it was definitely backed up. Mehr

The Ramada Inn Suites was a very clean hotel not to far from Bourbon St. and with some navigation help found the hotel. Parking at the French Quarter or Bourbon St. is not cheap, so the free parking is a plus. This hotel is by the airport so if your flying in that's a plus as well. I had a two day reservation and the hotel checked me out after the first day without notice. My baggage was still in the hotel room and my key was turned off. I had to check-in twice. No continental breakfast, and the pay to eat breakfast was a bunch of stale bagels and over-ripe fruit. Housekeeping could be a bit better, but the room was comfortable. The pool could use a cleaning. Saw the pool guy put chlorine tablets in, but the bottom was green and could have used a scrubbing. There is a nice restaurant next door with a variety to choose from on the menu. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter. All in all, not […] bad. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND WELL EQUIPPED WITH SUPPLIES. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN WHEN IN NEW ORLEANS.

If using a GPS system to locate the hotel, the GPS will take you along the Mississippi River on River Road.After several turns you will come to James Dr, which is a dirt road with no hotel. The city has 2 James Dr.

Hotel convenient to New Orleans Airport. There is an excellent BBQ restaurent next door. I highly recommend this location.
