Das Hotel war eine positive Überraschung und überzeugte uns durch einen gehobenen Komfort und Service. Die Betten waren einwandfrei und obwohl wir nur ein Zimmer unterm Dach mit nur einem Dachfenster hatten, war unser Aufenthalt durchweg positiv. Das Zimmer war schön groß und ruhig. Great facility clean, friendly convenient. Only disappointment was restaurant wasn't open, didn't find out until we got there. Staff recommended a great breakfast place !

All in all, a great stay. I particularly appreciated being put in a room fairly close to desk and sitting area as I was traveling alone. There were lots of nice surprises, like the continental breakfast, 24 hour coffee, tea or hot chocolate, lovely sitting area that I imagine would be wonderful on a nice snowy winter day, the very clean pool and hot […] tubs. My room wasn't in pristine repair, but very tolerable and clean. And the price of my stay was the BEST! Mehr

We stay in Stowe several times a year but this is our first stay at the Commodores Inn. It will not be our last! The staff is friendly and goes over and above for customers. The rooms are clean and comfortable and though we did not get a chance to eat in the restaurant we will next time we are in town!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Commodore Inn. While it could use a face lift, the hotel was clean, the service was quite good, and the location was ideal for our ski week in Stowe. Great value.

This was our first trip to Stowe and we picked this hotel out of the blue. It was adequate enough to sleep in, but I wouldn't have really enjoyed staying there for a length of time. The large whirlpools near our room were enticing, but the room didn't get as much care. The walls were pretty thin so we got to listen to our neighbors tv for a few hours […] (luckily not late). The king bed was nice, and the in-room fridge was a great place to put our leftovers from dinner. The bathroom had this odd tub with what looked to be a in-wall chair/shelf thing that actually got in the way while taking a shower. What really got me was that they toted that they were a non-smoking hotel in all areas, but they had someone at the front door smoking who was there so much it seemed like she was the door person. She could have been a guest, but it was a bit frustrating to have to walk through the smoke every time we entered or exited the building. They should designate places for smoking that are not going to disrupt other guests as they check in. Mehr

Reasonable priced- 10 miles to Stowe Mountain- On Mountain Shuttle Route- Nice clean hotel with things for the kids to do.

Very clean room. The only room available was two queen beds, when we only needed one. Perhaps this is why our room was bigger and spacious. The bathroom was really tiny, though. The set up included the tub and toilet in the bathroom, while the sink was on the outside. The beds weren't super comfortable, but I didn't wake up with any back pains, so […] I guess that's a plus. Our room happened to be under the hotel's front door awning, so we had no view, unless you count the cars pulling up to the hotel a view. The sound of the car doors shutting was clearly heard outside. Next time, I'd prefer a room that doesn't face the street or parking lot. I liked the free coffee/tea/juice and cookies that they provided daily. Very sweet touch. Housekeeping came daily and nicely cleaned the room. There are three hot tubs, two in the sauna and one in the indoor pool area. We couldn't use the tubs in the sauna room because it was just way too hot and suffocating. The tub in the indoor pool area wasn't bad, but the large windows faced the parking lot, which made us feel a little shy. Mehr

The commadore inn serves a purpose, they provide accomadation so you can be near the ski mountain. The food and service is appalling, when the kitchen "chefs"cannot cook pancakes or sausage without burning them, there is a big problem, also the staff overall including reception area are rude,unfriendly and unhelpful. The swimming pool area is dirty, […] never saw anyone clean the place during our 5 day stay, the hotel rooms arent the best, my 1st find was an empty beer bottle under the dresser so that tells me what effort was put into cleaning them.l could go on but lm going to stop. My wife and I have stayed at the Commodore once before, so we knew what to expect. Basic, comfortable and convenient are a few descriptive words. Checking in after a day of skiing, we were greeted by a warm fireplace in the living room and a table with cookies, fruit breads and cider. The desk clerk was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was […] basic, clean and comfortable, except for the bed which was too firm for my liking. We enjoyed chatting with other guests in the indoor hot tub. There was a buffet dinner available, but we passed in favor of dining at an area restuarant. Likewise, we passed on breakfast, which was not included in the room rate we booked. The hotel was quiet at night, which is important to us. We will stay at this hotel again and are comfortable recommending it to others. Mehr

I picked the Inn as a jump off point for two winter day hikes; Camels Hump & Mt. Mansfield. Good central location for us. The Inn is a good family place. The restaurant is adequate for a family outing. Breakfast buffet was good. We only ate in the bar area once but food was good there as well. The Inn is not a 5 star hotel but for the value, you get […] a great deal. Beds were good, rooms clean & maintained. Only downside I encountered was the hottub was not very hot but that maybe a liability issue. We didn't ski so I can't say anything about access to Stowe but it was perfect for our hiking needs. The mattress in the room was absolutely AWFUL! It was sagging in the middle and desperately needed to be replaced. The hotel was very quick to our request for an extra cot to satisfy the kids. They offer a reasonably priced buffet meal with very good prime rib every night, unfortunately, it's the same exact meal...every night. The hotel is also listed […] as 9.6 miles from the ski resort, but the "notch" is closed in the winter. The ride actually took 40 minutes! That's a big difference after a day of skiing. Mehr

Pros: convenient to multiple ski slopes, shuttle service, inexpensive buffet style dinner, pool and hot tubs, complementary cookies and hot chocolate, covered entry so you can unload your car in inclement weather, rooms open onto an indoor hallway. Cons: Facility is somewhat dated. Although I understood breakfast was included, we were informed it was […] not when we checked in. No hair dryer in the room, you have to ask for one at the desk. Pool is in one wing, hot tubs in another so there is no escaping the noise from them. Parking lot is paved but covered in so much dirt you would not know it was paved. If you are looking for upscale go with the "Inns" in the center of Stowe. Mehr

This place needed a renovation 30 years ago. Tired old rooms, paper thin walls. Convenient location is the only thing going for this place. It was clean and cheap, but I will not be back.

The room & bedding was clean. Free juice & coffee in the lobby at all hours was a nice touch. in spite of busyiness of a busload of kids checking in, our room was quiet. Really liked that there was a second hot tub area, away from the indoor pool. Too bad the hot tub controls were at the reception desk. Good value for the money. Great location near the village of Stowe. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The onsite restaurant was excellent.

We found it was a nice room for the price. The Pub food was a good portion and reasonably priced. Overall it was a good visit and would stay again.

We stayed here on October 2011 because our original plan has changed. We didn't regret: The room was nice, big enough and clean, the dinner was a free-buffet style that was very nice and rich (no deserts - but it is good for us...).

The Commodore Inn was ideally located. We stayed overnight and enjoyed the stay. The buffet at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The hotel is older and the carpet in the halls are dated. The room was clean and the view of the lake behind the hotel is excellent. An excellent place to stay.

This hotel was fine. It was clean a bit old but it worked and thus was good for the value. Breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here this past weekend while visiting the sights of Stowe. The room was very clean and comfortable. This was probably the best hotel I have stayed in for the price. When we return again next year, we will definitely be staying here.

Our expererience in the Commodores Inn in Vermont was satisfactory. The decor can be updated it is sort of 70's style. We cannot rate the food since we did not eat at the hotel. The price is affordable.

This was our first experience booking this way. We were pleasantly surprised! Room was clean and staff were friendly,helpful and a wealth of informaion about the area. The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have liked, but maybe it was just me. Everything very clean. We would definitely go back if the opportunity arose.

It is clean and close to Stowe downtown. The breakfast is good!

First off, the check-in staff were not the worst, but they did not offer any information spontaneously, everything had to be dragged out of them, even which direction our room was in. Second, even though the food was edible, I recommend avoiding the restaurant altogether if you care about the service at all. They request you make a reservation and then […] act as if they had no expectation of you showing up, the table was wiped with a dripping cloth and the single page menu then ruined by putting it on the wet table, the cutlery was haphazardly thrown on the table and so it went on. The hotel was pretty good and we would stay there again but the breakfast payment for a continenatl breakfast and full breakfast was wierd and we got taken and not worth the money.

Just South of Stowe, choose for the price.

The hotel is very nice as well as the staff, but has an older clientele feel to it, however this does not detract from the overall experience. The best part is that we got to keep our 125lb Lab with us the whole time! Dogs of all sizes are welcomed.

The Commodore Inn was clean, quiet, comfortable and close to everything in Stowe. The breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again. My only suggestion would be to brighten the room up with better lighting.

Good Service, Good Dinner Buffet, clean room, comfortable bed. I strongly reccomend.

The Commodores - a good basis for "An English Invasion" Excellent service and room comfort. During our stay there were a lot of friends/owners of Antique English cars and it was very nice to have a very comfortable lounge with a fireplace to meet everybody.
