Ace Hotel - Seattle

Das Erscheinungsbild des Hotels fällt aufgrund der großen Raumhöhen und der unverputzten Backsteinwände in den Zimmern etwas aus dem üblichen Rahmen. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Obwohl wir nur Zimmer mit Bad auf dem Flur gebucht hatten, erhielten wir ohne Mehrkosten ein Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit integrierter Dusche (nur durch Glaswand hiervon […] abgeteilt). Unser Zimmer war klein, aber sauber und modern ausgestattet. Das Hotel bietet zudem ein vergleichsweise reichhaltiges Frühstück. Die Funktionalität des WLAN war deutlich eingeschränkt. Die Umgebung ist aufgrund der innerstädtischen Lage relativ laut. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (u.a. Seattle Center/Space Needle) befinden sich in fußläufiger Reichweite. Negativ anzumerken ist, dass es keine Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Hotels gibt und noch nicht einmal eine kostenfreie Kurzparkmöglichkeit vor dem Hotel, um das Einchecken und Ausladen des Gepäcks zu bewerkstelligen. Zwischen 20:00 und 8:00 Uhr kann man jedoch kostenfrei auf der Straße (Wall Street) parken. Mehr

Kleines aber angenehmes Hotel in einem alten Backsteingebäude. Unterschied sich in der Atmosphäre und Gestaltung deutlich und positiv von anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise. Die Größe unseres Zimmers wäre bei mehr Gepäck etwas grenzwertig gewesen. Separate Dusche und Toilette außerhalb des Zimmers war nicht negativ. Frühstück war OK, kein Plastikgeschirr!! […] und es kam etwas "Hostelfeeling" auf. Sehr gute Lage in Seattle und angenehmes Umfeld im Stadtteil Belltown. Mehr

Das Ace-Hotel in Seattle ist meiner Meinung nach sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man ein eher preisgünstiges aber trotzdem schickes und sauberes Hotel sucht. Die Zimmer (ich hatte Bad am Gang) sind nicht allzu groß, dafür sehr praktisch und auch schön eingerichtet. Mir gefiel die Kombination aus Edelstahl und Holz. Einige Kleinigkeiten waren sehr angenehm, […] z.B. Wasserfilter auf dem Zimmer oder das Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen, genauso wie kostenloses Wlan. Im Essraum waren auch tagsüber immer Kaffee und Obst kostenlos zum mitnehmen da. Zum Service muss man noch sagen, dass sie echt gute Tipps auf Lager hatten, wo man z.B. schön essen gehen kann. Als negativ würde ich die etwas laute Klimaanlage im Zimmer beurteilen. Man hätte sie aber auch abschalten können. Mehr

The Ace wird seinem Namen voll gerecht. Das A und O ist das freundliche Personal - charming, hilfsbereit, unkompliziert und kulant. It was a 10 minute walk past great shops to Pike place. Another 15 to Century link. All past such history and funkiness!! The hotel was a five star in my books. So you have to walk out the door to the bathroom.....It was just 20 steps away from the roomand had a nice candle glowing all night with soft lighting in the hall.....Everything was spotless. […] The decor is very kitchy and minimal. The shower rooms were huge, spotless and could fit a family to get ready in. I felt like I was in a ikea room - just what I needed, a sparse modern and clean space like no other place. The manager and reception staff were helpful and friendly. I spent four nights at the Ace Hotel while in Seattle for a conference. While it wasn't as convenient to the Convention Center as the downtown hotels, it gave me an excuse to see much more of Seattle than I would have otherwise. My room was clean and comfortable, as were the communal bathrooms down the hall. The location of my room meant that there […] was a fair amount of noise from the street - this didn't bother me, but I was offered a different room when a quieter one became available. I didn't take it, but I appreciated the unsolicited offer and the clerk's concern for my sound sleep! Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and I appreciated 24/7 access to great coffee. I've always wanted to stay at an Ace Hotel because they cater to the design and creative world. Their style is minimalist-chic. Their do-it-yourself waffles breakfast is superb and I LOVE that they provide delicious Stumptown Coffee 24-7. Just take note that only the Deluxe rooms have private bathrooms. I would LOVE to come back any day!

This is a cute, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I loved the cucumber water in the lobby, waffle maker and stumptown coffee. The Ace hotel is right in Belltown. The room we had for our 3 day stay in Seattle, was a little small, only because we where travelling for 6 weeks and had so much luggage. The room itself was very modern, funky, and adequate. Although not in the City Centre its on the edge where the Market is and only takes 5 minutes to walk there but it does not have the City Centre price. A well located hotel in the centre of trendy Belltown. Within walking distance of all the major attractions and close to the bus and monorail stations. Pike Place is a 10 minute walk away. Hotel was very clean, however the steep steps at the entrance may be difficult for older travellers to deal with. Breakfast nice but basic, coffee was really good! […] Wi-fi was fast and free and the shared bathrooms were always available even during the morning peak. Really good cafes and bars on the walk to the centre. They seem to have a communal computer in the lobby but don't seem to have a printer to print boarding passes. Mini library downstairs and vending machines with snacks. Some noise from the corridors during the night as the doors have a larger than usual gap between the floor. Ace hotel is close to all the Seattle must sees and the staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and their breakfast was delicious! The only con I see is for a big family, the rooms would be tight.

Really enjoyed the stay - the room was small but clean and well-equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is cenrtally located within easy reach of Elliot Bay and the Downtown areas, as well as sights like the Space Needle and Pike Place market. Would not hesitate to book again.

Ace Hotel is a very fun and comfortable hotel to spend a couple of nights in Seattle in. My room was locating in the corner of the building and was very cool. the Bed was very comfortable, I had our own bathroom with was well appointed for such a historic building. The look and feel of the hotel is very interesting as the building itself was built in […] 1910 and was redone to keep that vintage feel but with a modern vibe. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful to a extent but not overly so. I found the staff somewhat aloof, maybe in keeping with the hotel's hipster vibe. The room was somewhat clean as I looked under the bed and found old potato chip bags and big dust bunnies. The area is the biggest selling feature. There are countless cafes, bars, Tapas places and other gastropubs and restaurants, and all of these place have their own unique feel and have excellent food and drinks. It was my first stay in Seattle and I very much enjoyed my visit and my stay at The Ace Hotel. I found the hotel to be in a convenient location, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms to be well fitted-out and quite hip/funky in design, and all at an excellent price. Overall, Ok. Great Location. Room was OK, hotel was smaller than the Portland Ace Hotel. Parking was kinda of lame, a lot for 26 $ two blocks down . I think they could do better with that. on a positive note, everything was so close to walk to it was fun being in the happening part of the city.

Usually I would opt out and go for a regular hotel room.
