Ich war in diesem Hotel, da ich zu einer Konferenz an der Trent University musste. Dementsprechend war die Lage für mich optimal. Die Gegend hat mir aber auch abgesehen davon sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt viele Restaurants und bis zur Innenstadt ist es nicht weit. Alles Wichtige ist zu Fuß problemlos erreichbar. Das Personal war auch immer sehr nett, man sollte allerdings keinen ausgefallenen Service erwarten.

alles ok, lediglich auf den Korridoren war es zu warm. Betten sehr bequem!
"stuart hotel, derby"
Reception, bar, restaurant looks fabulous but when you get deeper its a bit worse. Our first room had no A/C and window was coming off the wall so noise and cold was coming through. No heating on despite freezing temperatures outside. When complained, we where moved to different room with A/C but there was no heating option on A/C and radiator thermostat […] wasnt working and was leaking. Noticable dust and pay to watch tv wasnt helping. Otherwise not to bad, but for same price we got nicer hotel few miles away ;) Mehr

"Average compared to a Premier Inn"
Hotel was clean and well presented but the room was very small with just enough room to walk around the bed. Noise from the hallway corridor were easily heard in the the room. It was also advertised as having free wireless internet in the room. This was not true. Instead there was a wired internet connection. This meant I could not use my WiFi only […] iPad. Mehr

The rooms were plenty big enough. The only down side was the heat ,rooms are not air conditioned your given a fan but that didn`t really help.

Great central position with free parking, very friendly staff at checkin. Clean hotel and room. Great nights sleep, bathroom and shower good. Free internet - EXCELLENT. Only about 6 channels on TV, this could be updated but not much of a problem.

"Stuart Hotel - Trendy Hotel - Good Value"
The Stuart has had a trendy makeover and scores well with what I am looking for in a hotel. It is clean and well maintained. It could do with a lift and some of the floors are rambler ling. It has a pleasant bar area and you can get reasonable priced food and they also have Sky Sports. Only two negatives is that the internet I had in my room was wired […] but the cable was broken so kept coming out. Also the breakfast is not buffet so if it’s busy you have to wait. Mehr

I didn't have high expectations of the Stuart. However, What I didn't expect to find was a cracked wash basin. A cracked shower head that sprayed water all over the place. This in the end wasn't a big deal as there was no hot water on that particular morning. The rooms look more than a little tired and are in desperate need of refurbishment. "Hotel Stuart - Not worth it"
1) Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT eat in the restaurant. The food was overpriced, vegetables cost extra, it wasn't even tasty, they didnt have everything on the menu and it took ages to arrive. I also ordered a lager which was completely unrefrigerated. AVOID 2) The location is alright. Some big shops nearby etc. 3) The room was alright, but the walls are […] extremely thin. I booked this hotel only days before my trip based on the value it offered. I was quite pleased with the condition of the room, the quality of the food and the friendly service. The dining room was quite busy the night I was there and it took some time to prepare my meal. The manager was aware of this and provided me with a complementary drink. Aside […] from the free drink that eased my slight frustration with the delay, I saw that everyone was working quite hard to service what must have been a larger than expected crowd, and this made it easier to accept. When the food arrived it was appropriately prepared and worth the wait. Additionally it was reasonably priced. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the train station. The hotel was fine for a brief stay, but the room we had was really small for two occupants.My wife was not enamoured to be called 'darling' by the breakfast waitress.Car park was very useful and the hotel was well placed to go into the city centre by foot.
