Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort - Pawleys Island

The hotel is very nice and our room was fine. The problem we had was our room was located above the pool where all the children play. There was lack of parental control and no policing by the resort. We wanted a quiet weekend away and that did not happen. The weather was perfect and we would have opened our windows and patio door but could not for the […] screaming of the children. The hotel could do a better job of separating families with children and adults only. They also need someone to monitor the activities at the pool. Someone could get seriously hurt. Mehr

Newly remodeled, spacious suite. Close to the great breakfast buffet. Nice, quiet environment with super pool including a lazy river and childrens water area. Ocean was a 10-15 minute walk but shuttles run on weekends and prime time.

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a vacation or overnight stay! Extremely polite and friendly staff. The condo unit we stayed in was clean and very comfortable with plenty of room for our family. Resident goose was hilarious. The resort is close to several great restaurants and shopping. While the staff was very nice, the room was awful. Stains on the carpet, the fridge didn't work properly, no indication where the ice machine was( only one for the entire 3 story building). Not worth the time it took to get there. Went flying on the wet bathroom floor. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, however. Good food and friendly staff.

The first room they put us in was next to some very rude guests. When we talked to the front desk clerk they upgraded us to a suite apartment stlye room. This was more than we expected. We had the most comfortable stay at a hotel that we have ever stayed at. Thank you so much for treating us like family and not just a guest.

Not happy with the room. "Seaside Towers", ended up being an inside room facing the parking lot; window facing same. Numerous empty rooms facing the ocean; guess I should have inquired personally when making the reservation.

Stayed off peak and it was an amazing weekend!...Minutes from the beach...very helpful, pleasant staff.

The resort was very nice and the room was very comfortable. We noticed, however, when the room was cleaned the coffee pot was not washed out. would definately stay there again.

Perfect location for visiting Brookgreen Gardens. Price was right in December. Room was clean and very comfortable.

For the money, this is highly recommended. Short walk to beach, fitness facility, near shopping plus Starbucks on grounds.

The bed was the worst that I have ever slept in. the grounds were very nice but the hotel rooms were pitiful.

We had never stayed a Litchfield Resort before. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything was well maintained, room was excellent and spacious, and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion is the Lazy River. We were never able to get the opportunity because people would get out and take their tubes back to their seats not allowing anyone to […] use them. That was a bit frustrating. There were many that would have liked to have the chance but there were not enough tubes. That is our only suggestion. Mehr

Great resort with great grounds. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The golf course was gorgeous and good for any skill level. Pools were wonderful, beach was within walking distance. Only downside were the beds. We had a room with two queens and couldn't get comfortable! Very family friendly as well as a good getaway for couples!

In the past, we've always stayed in the Myrtle Beach area when vacationing here. It wasn't until last winter that that we decided to check out this area to compare rental prices and were surprised to find how competitive the prices were to where we usually stayed. That plus the fact there are some of the best golf courses and restaurants in close proximity […] to the resort. We not only spent the winter here but look forward to returning whenever we plan on being in the area. Mehr

Summer House is nice and roomy with a large balcony overlooking a small pond (lake). However, the kitchen floor is tile and whenever you slide your chair in or out from the dining table it make a large noise. Unfortunately, it is the unit above you that you hear and in our experience, the group above us spent the better part of a Saturday night sliding […] their chairs in and out. Mehr

This is an excellent hotel - lots of facilities - would recommend 5/5. Handy shuttles to beach every 5mins - the (private) beach is also 5/5 with lots of decking / showering etc

We made last minute reservations right before 4th of July weekend and weren't sure what type of place to expect. It was a great place, with both pools and the beach right there. I loved having a separate bedroom and full kitchen. We'd definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Just an overnight stay, but staff and room were very nice. Facility well cared and maintained. Pool area was clean and family friendly. You have a 7 minute walk to beach from Summerhouse, but you can easily get a golf cart ride also. In fact while walking back the driver of the cart asked if we wanted a ride. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay here. Great lazy river and pool. The beach is a short shuttle away, about 2 minutes. The beach was not crowded and had great waves. Very clean.

The hotel was great. The summer house was only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was very roomy and had a great view of the grounds. The only down fall ( if you want to call it a down fall) is that you had to travel a short distant to do things. No more than a half hour drive, no more than 20 mile. We loved the Summerhouse Villa where we could cook and relax. The Resort had bikes to rent and ran a shuttle service to the beach. They have 24 buildings like hotels each with a pool. You could drive to the Beach Club house where there was a huge deck with many lounge chairs to watch the ocean and enjoy the cool breeze. They say you can walk to the […] beach in 5 min but with 95 degree temps it seemed more like 10 to 15 min so we drove to the club house the 2nd time and it was better. The beds are comfy and the lazy river is a great way to relax after sight seeing. The private beach is not crowded so there is alot of room for the kids to play. Brookgreen Gardens are about a mile away which we enjoyed. Mehr

Great price for the accomadations. Close enough to attractions in myrtle and surfside to not feel taxed with the drive yet far enough to not have to deal with all that traffic. The room was adequate, the pool was great for kids, the grounds were immense with many options and the beach was perfect- though from pictures it looks as if you could walk straight […] from the hotel- only a few lodges were actually on the beach (the rest very close but not on). I just returned from Litchfield Resort and I have to say it was a very family friendly and quiet place. I stayed during the week so it was probably a little less crowded than the weekends. The resort was very nice. The pool and lazy river were great. The beach is only a 10 minute walk which we did every day. There is a FREE shuttle service to the beach […] as well in case you have kids or lots to carry. The bar/restaurant had Free apps from 5-6 and great drink specials. I could get a pretty full glass of Pinot Grigio for $3. Restaurants in the area had really good food. We tried Island Bar and Grill and Divine Fish house. You will need good directions because they are off the beaten path a bit. Not a lot of shopping around but the beaches made up for it. Very clean and lots of white sand! Mehr

I live on the North Carolina boarder and wanted a get away for the whole family but not to far away! Litchfield was perfect for this! We had a villa on the golf course that was beautifully maintained and modern! The drive to the other facilities was quite a drive but worth it! Private beaches and an amazing pool and lazy river for the whole family! […] The only thing I can say bad is that the reasturant and bar really needs updating but there are so many amazing and different places to eat near by that it made this OK! We were very pleased with our stay. Our main reason for going to Litchfield was to see Brookgreen Gardens, and the location was perfect for that. The hotel was only about a mile from the gardens and Huntington Beach, and it was also convenient to the Murrells Inlet marsh walk (about 4 miles away). If you want a beachfront room, the Seaside Inn is NOT […] the place for you....it's about a 1/2 mile from the beach, with no beach view, but it's not a bad walk to the very nice beach. We were pretty underwhelmed by the food at the restaruant on site.....$100.00 for the worst steak I've ever had...tasted like that "liquid smoke" stuff that people who can't cook put on steaks...couldn't even finish it!...But that's not really a reflection of Litchfield....Grounds were immaculate, staff was very friendly and helpful. I really recommend staying there, just eat somewhere else! Mehr

Billed as a resort. My room was no better than a cheap motel room in any small town. The bed was clearly ready for the landfill. The room is tiny. They call the building seaside but there is only a pond out back and you can't even see that - no windows on that side. The only view is a parking lot.

I chose Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort because it was 2 blocks away from my brother's apartment and the onsite ammenities were good. Had we stayed longer, I would have enjoyed the onsite salon and spa. The pool area was great and it is only a short walk to the beach. I will stay in this hotel again when visiting my brother.

our visit was very pleasent. The staff was great.The webster resteraunt had the most wonderfull food,hat off to the cheff. The onlything i could say negative is the refridge. did't work, other then that everything was awsome.

Have stayed in quite a few hotels in the past week on our trip heading South. The hotel in Litchfield was one of the nicest. Room was clean and fresh smelling. Location was close to shopping and local attractions we planned on visiting. Enjoyed the fact that there was a Starbuck's in the complex. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice, but had patchwork on the walls where it needed to be sanded and painted. Also, the queen beds seemed more like full size beds and should be updated to be more firm.
