Vintage Design Hotel Sax - Prag

This hotel was like stepping onto the set of Austin Powers. An amazing staff that helped us even before we checked into the hotel (they held one of our bags for us). The breakfast and afternoon tea staff were top notch. The bathroom was small and the closet was unusable, but otherwise- a fun place to stay.

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sax. The location was wonderfully quiet and far from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. Small touches such as a filled water pitcher, and tea time snacks and beverages were truly appreciated. The only flaw was that the air-conditioning was on when we arrived and stuck at 16 degrees celsius. As it was late […] when we reported it, we were offered extra blankets. My husband finally managed to raise the temperature by pressing very very hard on the button. Mehr

I stayed in hotel Sax with my husband in prague for 2 nights. We were impressed from the moment we stepped in until we left! The hotel was uniquely designed with comfortable bed, linen and huge comfy pillows. The room and toilet were clean (however, the shower was leaking slightly which was a minor problem) and the laptop in the room with fast free […] wireless connection was definitely a huge help and added bonus. There was a coffee room with free tea and water and ice (you have to pay a small amount for the coffee), with 2000 DVD titles to choose from (apparently for free, but we were told that we had to pay 1 euro as we booked through agent). There was also a computer linked to a colour printer (free printing) which was very helpful as we could check in online and print out our boarding passes. I loved the breakfasts and 5 O'clock tea served at this hotel-especially after a tiring day out on our feet on the never ending cobblestone road, it was nice to be able to come back to the hotel for some really nice cakes and coffee. Overall, one of the best hotels I have ever been! Highly recommended. Mehr

The Vintage Design Sax is a lovely hotel situated in the quiet neighborhood of Mala Strana. It was a short walk (8 mins) to the Charles Bridge. The staff was wonderful and very accomodating. The complimentary breakfast was superb and they served a variety of cheeses, fruits, cereal or you can order from the menu and they will cook it up for you. They […] even offer a tea time which offered teas, wine, beer and deserts. The only thing that we had to get used to was the small bathroom, but this is to be expected in Europe. amazing breakfast... staff goes above and beyond. the theme rooms and decor is starting to look a little tired but overall a very comfortable and well positioned hotel in the center of town.

We had a wonderful experience with the Vintage Sax hotel. It is a very modern hotel with a wonderful bath, computer in the room (included in price), big rooms, comfortable beds and very clean. The breakfast, which was included in room price was wonderful, cooked to order English style, as well as traditional European fare of meats and cheeses. There […] was coffee and cake from 4-5 and one night they had wine. This was also included in the price. It is located within walking distance of the Prague Castle and a 10 minute walk up a hill, past the US Embassy, from the tram line. It was a very quiet and safe neighborhood. We were able to walk to the Old City in 10 - 15 minutes across the Charles Bridge. The hotel staff were wonderful. They were friendly, knowledgeble. One even came to our room to show us how the @ key worked on our keyboard. A short walk down the hill took us to dozens of restaurants and bars. A recommander sans hésitations ! Equipe sympa et buffet du pdj super ! Nous n'avons pas pu tester le SPA ou Sauna..........faute de temps ! Dommage ! On s'y sent à l'aise et c'est agréable pour un séjour même de courte durée.

Flott beliggenhet. Gangavstand til slottet, Karlsbroen og gamlebyen. Massevis av restauranter og spisesteder i gangavstand. Artig hotell med vintage innredning og dekorasjon. Utstilte minner fra 50-, 60- og 70-tallet. Hyggelig og blid betjening. God frokost.

Meget bra beliggenhet. Ser pent ut , hyggelig atmosfære og har hyggelig betjening. Men, vi fikk rom rett ved heisen og det er svært lytt. Aircondition (som kunne skape behagelig og jevn bakgrunnsstøy) kunne ikke være på mens lyset var av. Kjente fjærene i sengen og dusjen var svært upraktisk. Manglet håndkler dag 2. Kaffen tilnærmet kald ved frokost […] begge dager. Jeg håper vi var ekstra uheldige, for hotellet er ellers innbydende med sin lekre design. Mehr

Design Sax är det mysigaste och charmigaste hotellet jag någonsin har varit på. Den ligger i stadsdelen "Mala Strana" (Lesser Town) på en lugn gata men ändå mitt i smeten. Hotellet ser otroligt charmigt ut, personalen är fantastisk, frukosten varierande och mycket god med många pålägg och ostar (i priset ingår förutom buffén också en rätt från frukostmenyn... […] testa fyllda ostpannkakor eller äggröran... riktigt gott!). På eftermiddagen serveras fika som också ingår i priset och består av öl/vin/kaffe/te/kakor/frukt/dricka. I priset ingick även laptop på rummet med fri access till internet. Hotellet är romantiskt, vackert, otroligt charmigt och står ut bland andra hotell. Åker jag tillbaka till Prag kommer jag absolut att bo på Design Sax igen. Mehr
