Das Motel liegt ausserhalb des Ortes und ist nur per Auto erreichbar. Es hat in Old Saybrook, einem netten, etwas verschlafenen Ort, keine Taxis. Wir wurden aber vom Geschaeftsfuerer zum Bahnhof gebracht, weil das Taxi vom Nachberort ausgebucht war. Das Peronal ist zuvorkommend und der Service promt. Es hat Raucher- und Nichtraucherzimmer. Alles in allem sind die Raeume hellhoerig. Da hat man Glueck mit dem Nachbarn oder diesen fast schon im Zimmer. Das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis ist sehr gut.
Lage
Econo Lodge Mystic liegt in Mystic in der Nähe von Olde Mistick Village, Mystic Seaport - The Museum of America and the Sea und Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Steamboat Sabino at Mystic Seaport und Mystic Seaport.

"Lange schwarze Haare auf dem Kissen"
Das Motel liegt recht verkehrsgünstig an einer 4-spurigen Straße. Vom Straßenlärm bekommt man jedoch nicht allzu viel mit. Der Herr am Empfang war nicht sehr freundlich und teilte uns auch nicht mit, dass am anderen Morgen ein Continental Breakfast gibt (dünner Kaffee, Muffins, Cerealien). Das Hotel ist für den Preis einfach ok. Frühstück ist gut, wird nachgeliefert. Lage günstig für Mystic Seaport Museum, in einer food-area. Zimmergröße ist ok. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Pool ist ok.

THE BED WAS UNCOMFORTABLE.IT WAS OLD AND WAY TOO SOFT. HOTEL NEEDS MAJOR UPDATING.

Very pleasant, area was great for going into the small towns & shopping- Casino was closeby and plenty of places to eat.- The only thing I was surprised at was the young boy checking us in. I felt he was too young to be assisting customers.
"Old, rusty, unmaintained."
It was scary. The hotel sat back away from the road. I had to climb exterior stairs to get to my second floor room. Stairs were old and cruddy. Needed paint and a lot of maintenance. Door didn't close right. Old carpets, worn out towels, worn sheets, don't even want to know about the pillows. Stubbed toe into the bathroom because there was a lip. 1 […] outlet for anything other than than the only light in the room. Rusty shower. Just yuk. Besides, it didn't feel safe. Mehr
Needs upgrades badly.

Terrible. Cold shower and refrigerator didn't work. Mgmt replaced with new one and once we return 8 hours later, refrigerator was still warm and food spoiled. Had to throw food out. Management was aware of this. I would like a credit for this night's stay.

"Near Casino"
We liked the location and especially the price. It was near Foxwoods Casino, were we had tickets to a comedian show that evening. It was also next to shopping malls and lots of restaurants. It was PERFECT for what we needed and the room even had a bathtub so I could soak my weary bones !!,The price was also very reasonable so the whole experience was […] just great. "Pick another hotel please"
Our room was disgusting. It smelled like old musty food. There were stains all over the walls. There was hair stuck on the tiles and in the wall paper. The carpet was dusty. The bed linens smelled and were worn out. The bathroom was dirty. We cancelled our stay after I developed a rash from the dust and mold. It is very close to all locations in mystic […] and the equinox diner next door is amazing but please spend even twenty bucks more per night and stat somewhere else. When we left the cleaning crew cleaned an entire five rooms in the ten minutes it took me to load the truck. Disgusting! !! Mehr

"Not comfortable"
Nylon bedspread. Lumpy uncomfortable pillow. Washbasin located outside of bathroom. Very noisy heater. Tub not very clean

I woke up at 10:00 PM to turn on the heat. And it only blew cold air. I decided not to call the front desk, what were they going to do at 10:00PM on a SAT night? Besides have me switch rooms. When I checked out the following morning at 6:00 AM , I told the gentleman at the desk that there was no heat in the room. As a business person my self I would […] have offered a discount on a future stay. You know , keep the customer happy and coming back. Well I was ignored, not even a SORRY FOR YOUR INCONVEINENCE. So in the future I will not be staying there. And I have alot of business to do un the area. So any future clients that I have to meet in the area from out of town I will tell them NOT to stye there? "Not bad"
For the money, the hotel was not too bad. Kind of what I expected. My only gripe is that when I put a dirty towel and face cloth on the floor in a pile, I just figured they would provide me a new clean one. They just folded it and hung it back up for re-use. Unsanitary since it was on the floor next to the toilet!
i would recommend the econo lodge for a place to grab some sleep in a pinch, i would not recommend it as a destination in itself or to stay as a couple or for an extended stay. it is a good value for economy lodging

"econo lodge at mystic"
the lodge is newly renovated , clean and cute. must be nice during summer coz it has a pool. the location is very close to mystic aquarium, olde mystic village, foxwood casino. beautiful neighborhood. it's just worth!
"No amenities .. Wet floor"
I will never stay in Econolodge Mystic again.The rug was wet in half of the room.The room was dingy and uncomfortable ....Huge waste of Money!!!!
"OVERNIGHT STAY."
The room was very clean and it was perfect for an overnight stay. My only complaint is the bed felt like it was too close to the floor. It was only a little uncomfortable, but other than that, the room itself was very comfortable. I would stay here for a 1 to 3 day stay. Nothing longer than that. The fact that it is only about 15 minutes from Foxwoods […] and there is a diner and a restaurant that is practically outside your door is a plus. Mehr

The room was disgusting and the bed was about sixty years old. The tub was rusted and dirty. I would not let my dog sleep on the floor or take a bath there. We had to get another room the next day so we could shower and sleep comfortably.

Our room had a stench that was unbearable. If we had arrived earlier we would have left. The shower head was moldy and towels thread bear - w/ holes...yes, really. There was a long black hair on my pillow and a lipstick stain on the other pillow case. The carpet was nasty and smelled musty/moldy. We got out of there as early in the morning as possible!!! […] The bathtub was just gross...not clean! I washed it before I could take my shower...and there was so much more yuck!!! Mehr

Overall, this isn't a bad place for a quick overnight. We were there for a reunion at the Mystic Aquarium which is less than a mile from the hotel. Couldn't have been happier being that close. Dominos is nearby and delivered HOT pizza! Could not make long distance calls, so if someone is stuck at the hotel without a cell and you're from out of town, […] you're stuck. There were 2 light bulbs out over the sink. The towels weren't completely dry from washing (I hope). The floor near the tub was wet, as well. Other than that, the room was comfortable and had a working mini-fridge. Mehr

"Econo Lodge Mystic"
Not even worth 2 stars. The furniture was old and beaten up. A lamp shade was torn. There wasn't hot water in the morning and the kid working the desk wasn't particularly concerned about that. The good news is that the room was clean and the bed relatively comfortable.

"Never Again"
I'm the type of person that usually just needs a clean room, and a shower. There were spider webs all on the outside of the building with huge spiders. The room had lots of cobwebs witch gave me the feeling the room was filthy. Cracks in the ceiling, and the iron didn't work. I wouldn't stay here again.

We did not expect much, and that is exactly what we got! The motel was shabby,and the rooms, accessed directly from the parking lot ,were too. The spread on the bed was stained and the sheets had a musty odor to them. the bed itself was uncomfortable and we could feel the springs all night every time we turned over. The walls were thin as well, and we […] could hear the peole next door talking. thank goodness we were only staying one night. "Econo Lodge Mystic - OK if ur looking to save $$"
Close to everything and pretty cheap, but our room was on the 2nd floor and I had to lug the heavy suitcase up stairs. The man at the check-in was not very friendly, and the room smelled. The bed was uncomfortable and the towels were thin and rough. The floor mat actually had thread-bare sections all over it. Did not go into the outdoor pool, but it […] looked OK. Friendly's next-door was popular with the kids. TV was pretty large and had a DVD player too. Wi-fi worked well in the room. Mehr

When the reservation was made, I was told my sister and I along w/our children had rooms next to each other (NOT THE CASE). When we got to our room, I was not impressed w/the cleanliness of our bathroom. I actually cleaned it myself. The toilet was dirty!!! GROSS!!! We tried to save a little $$$, but learned that spending a little more for a clean, […] comfortable room w/a true lobby (not a desk w/a back room with a white plastic chair and tv) is so worth it!! Great access to Mystic Seaport and I-95. Room was nice, but bathroom door did not close for privacy, Pungent smell of urine in bathroom. Pool area clean and well kept.

Our stay at the Econolodge was as I had hoped for considering the price. The rooms were large enough and had mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Room smelled a little musty but was fairly clean and, all in all, it was as I expected. Tolerable and considering the price I would recommend as long as you are not overly picky, especially as it was close […] to all we wanted to see in the area. Special note is that the staff was quite helpful and honest. We left a cell phone and charger in the room when we left and called 3 hours later.
