Das Hotel ist 10 Minuten Fussweg vom Amtrak-Bahnhof. Ausserdem hat es einen Zubringerdienst zum Bahnhof. Also wer ankommt oder weiterreist mit dem Zug hat es hier sehr bequem. Es liegt auf der Hauptstrasse, die St. Paul und Minneapolis bindet. Ab Sommer 2013 wird in dieser Strasse eine Tramlinie zwischen den beiden Städten fahren, die jetzt noch im Bau ist. Das Hotel selbst ist einfach aber gut, mit Schwimmbecken und Sauna. Alles in Ordnung. Restaurant (ab 7 Uhr) nebenan.

Netter Service und großzügige Zimmer. Gute Lage, Fahrradverleihstation direkt vor der Tür, drei Schritte zum Joggingpfad, Innenstadt per Spaziergang zu erreichen. Negativ: kein richtiger Schrank im Zimmer (für zwei Personen viel zu wenig Stauraum, für einen kleinen Koffer war es gerade noch ok); Frühstücksecke und Rezeptionsbereich ungemütlich. Dafür aber Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bloomington liegt in Flughafennähe in Bloomington (Bloomington – Mall of America) sowie in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Water Park of America, Mall of America und Nickelodeon Universe.

"Business stay"
The staff at this location were superb. Each person was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast selection was very large and everything was fresh. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

"Great Stay"
Loved the king size bed and not a hint of cigarette smoke any where near my room. Absolutely loved the shuttle to and from the mall and or airport. It was a great stay and look forward to my next stay.

The room we had was very clean, the beds super comfy and the pillows were awesome! The Hotel was so close to all the local attractions which was great for those who have never been to Minneapolis before. The only complaint was that the binder in each room could use a few more restaurant choices for delivery to the rooms and maybe having enough towels […] for each person registered, we needed for 4 and they only provided 3. room was freezing even with thermostat at highest temp. Sink took forever to drain. Not worth what i paid for, however, the room was clean and close to were i needed to be

The title says it all, if it weren't for the location and the decent price I wouldn't have stayed here. If you like Nutri System-like eggs, you will like the breakfast; it fills a void. Stay at Homewood Suites if you want a better breakfast and sizable rooms. Cleanliness was marginal in the room, found a lot of stuff under the sofa bed. The worst part […] was the pool, I think they dumped a semi-load of chlorine in it. You walked into the pool room and your eyes instantly started to burn. We had to open the door to the outside so we could stand to be in there. I would have left but my kids were stronger than me and could take it, and the pool was one of two reasons I chose this hotel. Next time I will spend the extra and go somewhere I KNOW what I will be getting. Lesson learned. Mehr
"Small rooms"
Hotels.com indicated a rollaway bed could be requested, which is against MN firecode. Found out when I got there. Room was very small. OK, if you only have 1 or 2 people, but not made for the # they indicate you can reserve for.

Very good location for mall shoppers, and a free breakfast that should please everyone in your party. You will need to take the hotel shuttle to the mall but they will work with you it was not a problem.

The location was good---not far from the Mall of America. The pool area was very humid and strong smell of chlorine. Breakfast was good and service was good.

Had to have unexpected hip surgery 5 days before my trip they were very accomidating to my needs switched my room to handicapped accessible and was very gracious would fully recommended them for any stay any time thank-you again

Little difficult finding the location being that is on the other side of South bound Cedar Avenue. We thought is was in the grouping of all the hotels right around MOA. Not far just not where we thought it was. Still very convenient for a one night stay prior to early airport departure.

"Best Hotel for the Cheapest Rate next to Mall of A"
This is the Best hotel i have stayed in yet. It is very roomy. The FREE breakfast they have is better than a hotel that makes you buy your breakfast. They had 3 types of eggs, cereal, fruit, Every juice you could think of, every type of bread, Biscuit/Gravy. Nice pool/HotTub. Very Clean, and 2 types of pillows (Firm or Soft). Full vending Area. Big […] Bathroom. Microwave/Refrigerator. And all of this for under $100 a night. I payed more for a lot less in other hotels. This one is cheap, but you get SO MUCH!! Mehr

There was mis-communication given by hotel.com & the staff at the hotel handled my disappointment w/extreme professionalism & satisfied my needs. "Don't ask for help here!"
The location was great, and the overall experience was fine, however when my friend and I asked for an approximate price on taking a cab to the downtown area, we were told it would be $15. It ended up being closer to $40 one way. Had we known that, we would have gone somewhere closer to the hotel. "The Holiday Inn Express by the Mall of America"
They Holiday Inn Express by the Mall of America was amazing. The staff were extremely courtious. The room was clean and the bed was very comforable. We took our kids swimming and had a great night. In the morning the complimentary breakfast was full of options. They had pancakes, omlets, sausages, cin. rolls, etc. Well worth the money.

"Rough Start"
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. When we got to our room however, we noticed the furniture was broken, the cooling system didn't work and the room smelled. They moved us to another room which was better but the cooling system didn't work well at all. We had to open the window to help cool the room down. "Holiday Inn Express American BLVD East"
The Chlorine was so strong we could not use the Pool. Our eyes were burning just sitting pool side. We spend 2 nights and intended on swimming. What a waste !! There was a huge cobweb in our room and I hate Spiders. Not impressed.

The place needs to be revamped. First room the put me in smelled like old smokey hotel room. I asked for another room they gave it to me and it was the same. It was like it used to be a smoking hotel but changed there policy but not the rooms. I would never stay there again.

I googled hotels in bloomington MN near the mall of America and the phone number that came up by the Holiday Inn Express was the number to hotels.com not for the Holiday Inn. I assumed that I was connected to the Holiday Inn Express not some 3rd party. The hotel staff was polite & courteous. We enjoyed being close to all areas we wanted to go. The room was neat & clean & staff was prompt to answer questions. My only complaint was I had difficulty controlling the temperature in our room.

The hot tub was under maintaince which we were not aware one of the reasons we chose to stay in a hotel to relax. I was not given the one king bed room I was told when I made the reservation but rather 2 double beds. "Hot as Hades"
Brought my three young children to this hotel and when we checked in at 8pm after traveling, the room must have been a hundred degrees. We were on the second floor and I tried to turn the air conditioner on. It didn't work. I called the front desk and was told that they were aware of the airconditioner "issue." The system had not yet been switched […] from heat to air. He said I could open the window and that the maintenance guy could bring me a fan. I said, "yes, please!" I opened the window and also opened my door to let the air from the 5 inch opening in the window (that was all it would open) circulate throughout the room. Then a couple of interesting characters stopped by, Since our door was open, they thought we were having a party. Maintenance never came and we never got a fan. Closed the door and tried to make the best of it with the small opening in the widow. Very disappointed in Holiday Inn Express. As a priority club member, I always try to stay at either a Holiday Inn or a Holiday Inn Express. Not anymore! I will definitely be doing deeper investigating before booking online. Mehr

The Hotel, Staff, Breakfast Buffett, swimming pool, were all nice but nothing was exceptional only standard. The down side of our stay was the room was extreamly hot! We went in March, and although they have a teperature setting in the room it did nothing. the receptions area and hallways felt cramped, dirty, and old, but the room itself was nice. I also had someone try to card into my room at 2AM. Not fun.

"Would never come here again"
My reservation was made for me by my daughters as the finale of my 70th birthday celebration. The only reason that this hotel was chosen was the fact that nine family members that came from out of town had got this hotel through hotwire. They would have chosen the Embassy where they had my party. It was a surprise to me that my family had come to town […] for my birthday. So upon checking in that night the receiptionist was extremely rude because I didn't have a credit card with me. I didn't know that I would be needing one in my evening bag. My husband was with me and had his credit card which was excepted but the man at the desk continued to be rude to us from putting the credit card which was handed to him on the desk, not ever speaking to me or making eye contact any more. It was quite a disturbing way to end a lovely evening. As nice as the hotel was overall, I would never return here nor recommend it to anyone. Mehr
