Das Hotel liegt etwas Ausserhalb, aber mit dem Bus oder Taxi kein Problem die nächste Stadt zu erreichen. Zum Flughafen sind es nur 15 min. aber kein Fluglärm zu hören. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und wie auf den Fotos zu sehen, gemütlich, die Betten am Pool sind eine Schau alles in allem war es sehr schön. Personal super freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Hotelzimmer sind sehr sauber. Es gibt neben kleinen Zimmern (etwas eng) auch größere, schön eingerichtete Appartments mit viel Platz und eigener Kochmöglichkeit (Mikrowelle). Außer einem (relativ teuren) Restaurant gibt es in der Nähe wenig Möglichkeiten zum Essen (Mietwagen […] daher empfehlenswert). Der Strand ist zum Schwimmen weniger geeignet (da starker Wellengang). Aber der Platz ist ideal für Wind- und Kitesurfer oder für Leute, die sich entspannen und den Surfern von der Hotelterrasse aus zuschauen wollen. Obwohl das Hotel nicht sehr wit vom Flughafen weg ist, haben wir keinen störenden Fluglärm bemerkt; auch sonst ist die Lage des Hotels sehr ruhig. Mehr

...bestens geeignet, da ganztags stark Wind aus Osten weht. Das Hotel ist schön, liegt aber etwas abgelegen. Roller oder Autos können gemietet werden. Restaurant gut aber nicht billig (wie alles auf Barbados).

Wir waren sehr mit dem Hotel zufrieden. Der Service war sehr gut, ebenso das Essen. Am Pool (Meerseite) hat es Doppelbetter (die selben wie in den Zimmern), die man gratis benutzen kann und sehr bequem sind. Das Hotel liegt abseits aller Touristenströme, was wir jedoch sehr genossen haben. Die Umgebung besteht aus Einfamilienhäusern und kann ohne […] Angst zu fuss erkundet werden. Die Leute die wir auf unserem Weg angetroffen hatten waren alle sehr freundlich und es hatte auch keine aufdringlichen Verkäufen oder Geschäftemacher. Das Meer war sehr sauber aber wellig (jedoch ohne Probleme beschwimm und beschnorchelbar) und ideal zum Kitesurfen (es hat auch gleich neben dem Hotel eine Schule mit Verleih) Die Preise für das Essen sind ca. auf schweizer niveau. Es lohnt sich aber, da es qualitativ und mengenmässig sehr gut ist. (Eis-)Wasser gibt es an der Bar und im Restaurant gratis und man kann auch das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahnen trinken. Will man auswärts etwas essen, muss man mit dem Taxi nach Oistins oder weiter fahren. Das Taxi vom Flughafen bekommt man für ca. 12 US$ und die Fahrt dauert ca. 10 Minuten. We stayed there for one night as it was close to airport. Beautiful hotel, grounds, beach. Just bring your ear plugs as the whistling/chirppimg frogs are in full effect as soon as the sun goes down.

Silver Point is in great proximity to the BGI airport. It's only ten minutes away from the airport! The resort is located in the midst of a secluded and residential area where at night we could hear the neighbors dogs and some conversations the locals were having in their backyards (Pretty common where I come from, so it was not a problem for me). The […] beach property at the hotel is perfect for windsurfing, however, the waves crash pretty hard on this side of the island so it is not conducive for a calm swim in the water. The restaurant, reception staff, and security are extremely nice but the bartender is my FAVORITE! They called us cabs and recommended excellent places on the island to visit. Beware: The free wifi can only be used if your room is close to the main part of the hotel and they have suites located on both sides of the street, so there is a chance you will not have wireless access unless you are lucky enough to have a suite in the main building. Lastly, our suite was definitely spacious, clean, and room service replenished everything we needed daily. However, we were on the fourth and top floor of the hotel (No elevator), so after dragging our suitcases to the top floor we were also disappointed that in the suite only the bedroom had air conditioning. This is typical of hotels in the Caribbean, so I would stay at Silver Point again depending on if I plan to party or if I plan to relax. This hotel is only for relaxing! Mehr

The feel and beach location is ideal - I need to bring my wife back here on vacation. Meals are at a high standard, the Blackened Fish is succulent.

My stay was great. The room was in good condituon, the staff very receptive and friendly. Atmosphere very contemporary and quiet. Only negative the hotel is very far from the main atmosphere or town. For anyone staying here I would definitely recommend renting a car otherwise taxi fare will be expensive if you are planning to travel frequently and do […] some sight seeing. Mehr

The hotel looked awesome! I got a partial ocean view room and paying more for a different room would have been ridiculous because the hotel is right on the beach. The location is convenient because it is real close to the airport and just a few minutes away from Oistins. However, NOTHING is within walking distance.

A feel good location, despite the small scale of the public areas, it was comfortable, clean and sedate. Good for couples or the avid reader.

Very nice hotel, on the beach, swimming pool (small, but does the job), decks, bar and restaurant. For a restful vacation this place is ideal. It is however a little outside the main attractions. The bus service is good, regular and inexpensive. I really enjoyed my stay.

This is a very nice hotel that is close to the airport and provides very good customer service. We stayed there one night while waiting to transfer to St. Vincent and then again on the way home. The staff remembered us and provided us with very friendly service. The hotel has a great vibe and it was fun to watch the kite sailing. We stay at Silver Point Hotel only one night. Receptionist was very nice and professional, we get our room early and also check out we could stay extra time. Our room was clean and ocean front view was outstanding.Nice pool area and bar + restaurant. Service was very nice and meals good. Hotel is close the airport but you can't hear any air traffic. […] There is no elevator and there is lots of stairs. I can recommend this hotel. Mehr

We stayed twice at the Silver Point Hotel.(both ends of a cruise) The Silver Point Hotel has two buildings. One on each side of the street. The main building is on the ocean. The rooms in this side are smaller with some facing the ocean. On the other side of the street the rooms are larger and most can see the ocean but are not directly on the water. […] We had a room in each area and found the larger room more to our liking. The hotel has a modern feel (dark wood floors, updated washroom sink/shower. We enjoyed our stay at the Silver Point. It is on a very windy stretch of beach (perfect for windsurfing and kite surfing) It is not a great beach for swimming or for walking. There is one smaller restaurant on property which is fine. Surrounding the property there is no other restaurants. You need to take a taxi to Oystin to get another restaurant option( taxi ride approx $20USD each way) The Friday night fish fry in Oystin is a big event. Lots of locals and tourists. Many seafood options. It costs approx $40USD to take a taxi to Bridgetown. This is the largest city in Barbados. The cruise port is in Bridgetown. If you have time renting a car and touring the entire island is worth it. Barbados has some terrific scenery. Be careful. The road maps and road signs are poor. You will be lost. The Silver Point Hotel is a nice hotel with good value. Barbados is an expensive island both hotels and restaurants are pricey. Silver point is well priced. If you are a wind or kite surfer it is perfect. For a longer stay it has limited options for food and nightlife. Mehr

I was very disappointed with this hotel. After a long flight I just wanted to have a hot shower and go to bed. Although the bed seemed ok, the room was so dirty I could not sleep well. Silverpoint is a nice hotel but it is difficult to recommend due to its location. I would consider staying here again for a short trip but not for a vacation. We opted to stay here due to its apparent proximity to the airport. We were flying out the next day. The cab fare here from the airport to here in Inch Marlowe was $13USD and the fare to our other […] hotel Coral Sands in Worthing was $18USD. Had we known, we would gladly have gone back to Coral Sands. We also had a Deluxe room which was decorated nicely but was very small. The hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of coast. I believe it was the Atlantic side as the surf was rough and we did not see a lot of swimmers. More kite boarders, etc. We had good drinks at the bar and the staff was nice, there. Our Front Desk agent was ok at checkin but the other at Check out was fantastic. The pool area is nice but sadly I would recommend another hotel for short or long term stays in Barbados. Mehr

This hotel is perfect. Its got a super nice deck for laying in the sun. Half of the women there go topless. Its got a decent surf break in front of it but is really close to Freights Bay and Surfers Point. If you want to surf in front of the hotie you can rent boards from someone next door. The food is good. Not stellar but you are really close to […] Oistens by car or cab. Its easily the best value in Brahbados. The same level of service and quality would cost four times as much on the west coast. Mehr

This was a very nice hotel.....pleasant, quiet and off the tourist grid. A little far away from most activities, but if that is whta you want...this is your place. Kite Surfers and Windsufers love this place......the beach is crowded with them........

If you get a 1 bedroom, ocean front suite, request one on the 3rd floor. The ceilings are vaulted and the view is over the tree line. Kids dominated the pool, but there are enough chairs and beds to spread out along the deck to find a relaxing spot to get sun. At night, it's quiet and great to get bottle of wine and star gaze. The location is fantastic […] to walk onto the beach and since it's off the beaten path, there is no traffic noise - only waves crashing as you sleep. I would definitely go back! Mehr

It's only worthed for kitesurfing. The staff are not well trained, are not helpfull and are rude( when I say the staff is the the entire hotel staff. Maybe one waiter or a housekeeper had a better mood). The pool area was really dirty by 2 pm( glasses, dishes, coffee, food left overs). The rooms were somedays were clean and somedays they just look like […] clean. The bathrooms are dark, the towels are old, and we only got amenities maybe 3 times on 14 nights we spent at the hotel. The kitchen's cabinet were dirty so was the refrigerator and glasses, plates, silverware etc...... I cleaned myself. We asked for the ocean view room and we got it but across the street....how about that? When we made the reservation nobody told us about that detail. By the way drug dealers walk free at the beachin front of the hotel, in the street at the entrance of the hotel and security can care less. I've been offered all kinds of drugs so was my husband and the friends that were with us at the hotel. We asked for late check out when we did the reservation and fully paid our stay, they told us ok....when we had to check out we were almost kickout of the hotel. They didn't even care we. Have small children . The neighborhood is really bad, and the hotel is far away from restaurants. Don't recommend at all. Mehr

The hotel is beautiful and contemporary. However, the resort when we were there was crowded. It looks like it would be for couples, but they had large groups that took over the pool and the restaurant. They do not have the staff to handle it. There was glasses and trash from guests all over the pool area, no one cleaning up. It took over 2 hours to […] get dinner for two - a salad, an appetizer and curry. They were out of items. they sat a party of 19 and one of 12 the same time they sat us. The hotel is located in a very rural, poor area but they did provide good security. We needed to check out early 8:00am to catch our flight no one was in the office had to leave items with security guard. Mehr

I had a layover in Barbados and this was more than I could ask for for the price of the room. The food is a little expensive and there is not much in the area around the hotel BUT if you are looking for a nicely styled hotel that is quiet and the one on a quiet, beautiful beach, this is the place for you.

Not a business orientated Hotel, but very nice to relax on the big terrace with lounge beds right on the beach. Great beds!

We absolutely loved our stay at Silver Point! The rooms were so gorgeous, clean and tastefully decorated. The bed and bedding were of a wonderful quality, and the shower was nicer than ours at home! Gorgeous beach access, we saw them cleaning seaweed and trash up from the beach every few days, which made for a much nicer experience than the trash filled […] beaches near by. The beds on the sundeck and poolside bar, were icing on the cake. The food and beverage was really good, but expensive. Go into Oistins or Saint Lawrence Gap for dinner. Mehr

We stayed here for one night while on a layover to the West Coast of the USA. It was a nice hotel right on the beach with easy access to the airport ($16 US). They let us check in early. Relatively small rooms but you get what you pay for. Also relatively close to nice area to walk around - St. Lawrence Gap ($17 US cab ride).

We stayed here two years ago when we were diving on Barbados for a week so we were familiar with the property. We were disappointed this time, however, in the location of the room but since it was just an over night stay to catch a flight out the next day, it was fine -- but VERY expensive for an overnighter. Won't do that again!

I used this hotel as a getaway for my wife and I and its great. The food is very good, and the staff is very friendly. I'll recommend to anyone who is just looking for a nice quiet getaway.

I stayed at Oceans Two, Almond Village, Almond Cassaienda (sp) and this one was by far the best of the three. Was not the best snorkel spot but, for relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the ocean it is perfect. Great for honeymoon or place to be romantic...

The only thing that was missing is a welcome drink. Maybe a unique drink that is only served at Silverpoint.

The hotel is fairly close to the airport. Ocean looked too rough to swim. Hotel staff was so so. Mirror in bathroom too far away. Shower ran hot and cold and was not strong enough. Beds were good. Menu was limited. Drug dealers popped up next to the deck railing trying to make a sale every time I took a walk over to look at the beach. They were friendly […] though. Hotel had LOTS of security. The beds around the pool on the deck were very nice. Pretty much what you would expect for the money though. Mehr

Silver Point is a lovely hotel. Staff service was the most outstanding feature as well as the exceptional food, especially dinners. There needs to be more clarity on the website when they describe "ocean view rooms" - which are actually across the road and not on the ocean side - our only disappointment.

First night the reception put us in a recently re- painted room . We were relocated to another room and the same night my wife spotted a flying roach in the bathroom. We reported the incident to housekeeping on the following morning who also suggested they would spray insecticide in the room. On our return to our room that night we reinspected our room […] and we we noticed that housekeeping had left a can of insecticide . Later that night we saw two roaches and both of them we sprayed with insecticide. This made us very uncomfortable and unhappy , we hardly slept that night. The following morning we reported the incident to housekeeping and showed them the dead roaches. The hotel housekeeping and the reception were very apologetic when I showed them the pics we took of the dead roaches and then they suggested that they would move us to a ocean front studio. Later that evening we were given our keys for our new room (much nicer)and to our surprise we noticed a envelope on the TV stand , on reading the contents it was written that we were offered a free night stay at the same hotel inclusive of breakfast valid until July 2012 subject to availability. We really enjoyed our stay at the Silver Point. The property was beautiful and mirrored the pictures on the website. The staff was very polite and the rooms were clean and chic! Cons.. The beach isnt conducive to bathing. We decided to take a taxi to another beach and all was well. Also, if you like alot of action and partying you will have to spend […] $ on taxi's or bus to get to the party areas. Lastly, if you choose Ocean view it could be accross the street so if you want a true ocean view, choose Ocean Front. Its well worth it. We wanted relaxation with the option of venturing out so it was great for us! Mehr

This hotel is beautiful and is located in a very "ghetto" looking area. However, the people in this area are quite friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the peace and tranquilly of this hotel. Room service staff are a bit tardy and the housekeeping staff are also tardy. The restaurant is very pricey. Whoever built this hotel was not thinking of convenience […] for their guests. It is located approximately 30 minutes from the closest town which is oistins and 45 minutes which is Bridgetown. The number 11 bus will take you to both locations at a very economical rate of $2.00 BB or $1.00 USD per person. The hotel staff on a whole were very friendly and their hospitally was great. My only suggestion would be for this hotel to maintain the cleanliness of the beach. This beach is breathtaking except that all of the seaweed needs to be cleaned up and removed. I had a very peaceful vacation and enjoyed taking the number 11 bus into town each time. If this hotel was in a better neighborhood it would be a bonus. Mehr

Beautiful beachfront locale, local neighborhood is decidedly mixed, but cool windsurfing/surfing/kiteboarding shop nearby and not a far ride from Oistins for some great eats. Hotel is kind of by itself, but has a wonderful restaurant, bar and pools plus great service.

I recently spent four days at this hotel and I enjoyed it a lot. Although the partial ocean view was not an ocean view at all, the small (almost private) pool I had out of my patio was great. Of all the reviews I read no one mentioned that there was only air conditioning in the bedroom. There is no airconditioning in the bathroom or living room area. […] It was still very nice and comfortable. The staff was all very nice and accommodating. I would encourage anyone to stay, but agree that it is a little off the beaten bath but not too far a cab ride can't take you. Enjoy your stay! Mehr

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights and it was a very good experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made arrangements for us to rent a car that was delivered to the hotel and were prepared to make arrangements for other services if we needed them. The room was clean and well-kept and had we stayed in some of the other […] rooms, the view would have been outstanding. The beach was very nice and fairly private with very clean water and plenty of water sports like kite-surfing and windsailing. The main caveat were the location - closer to the airport (but not close enough to be a bother) and required a cab or rental car to get to the more active parts of the island (Oistins, west coast). We rented the car and it was worth it. One other was the very slow internet, but this proved to be a good thing for us as we needed to be disconnected. It works near the bar, but it's very slow. That said, if you like a nice, quiet beach with fresh air, some water sports, and good service, Silver Point was on point. That's what we needed on this trip. Mehr

Beautiful hotel. Secluded beach. Close to Airport. Nice pool/bar/sitting area overlooking the sea. Rooms extremely nice for the price. Attracts a younger crowd - good looking girls. What more do you need?
