Best Western Plus Chula Vista Inn - Chula Vista

Für uns war dieses Hotel der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere geplante Rundreise. In Flughafennähe, aber nicht zu dicht dran. Restaurants zum Essen in der Nähe. Trotzdem das Hotel an einer Hauptstraße liegt, haben wir 2 ruhige Nächte verbracht. Wir würden wieder kommen.

If you're in Chula Vista for business, this place is convenient to gov't offices, restaurants, etc. I had to meet a client at the hotel in the afternoon and the desk manager (should have gotten his name) offered to open the dining room for us (which was already closed) so we can meet in private instead of at the lobby. Nice service.

Best Western Plus, I don't know where the "plus" comes in to play. The key cards didn't work and had to have redone. remote to TV didn't work, Noise all night long from people next door with knocking on the door at 3am, 4am etc. and not the type you would want to see at that time in the morning. I was there on business and glad I had my husband come […] with me because I would have not felt safe without him with the people around the hotel and neighborhood. Mehr

I won't stay here again. The staff was nice. Mattress was bigger than the frame so it overlaped. TV kept turning off. When I called down, they told me that that's never happened before. (there's always a first) Offered to check out at noon instead of 11am for the inconvenience. Stated because I purchased through Expedia, nothing could be done as far […] as some kind of credit. Ironing board wouldn't fold back up, instead of offering me another one, they told me to place it outside the door and someone would pick it up. The desk & desk chair is almost as big as the bed, so it takes up a lot of space in the room. Not convenient for handicap individuals. The good things about this hotel, there was a fridge & microwave. Updated headboards. Breakfast variety was ok. Mehr

We booked it because of its location to family. A little concerned cause it was only a 2 star. Pleasantly surprised to find it exceeded our needs. The room was great, very very clean. No outside noise. The price was right. The only problem was it was October and the pool was not heated. Aside from the pool, I would highly recommend this hotel. This hotel was really comfortable and nice. It was only about a 15 minute drive from all the fun stuff in san diego, very convenient for the beaches:) Our room was very clean and big. All of the staff there was real nice. There was only two downsides to our stay. One, the pillows weren't too great so I suggest bringing your own if possible. Two, our […] room was right next door to where they serve breakfast so from 6 am to 9 am you could hear the wafflemaker beeping, not too cool LOL. Other than that it was great. The only drawback that I had with the hotel is that the walls were paper thin. I normally do not notice outside noise, but it was impossible to ignore at this hotel. I could hear everything that was going on in the rooms next to mine as well as anything that happened outside the door.

Very comfortable everyone was helpful and my room was clean and quiet thankyou

the hotel was alright, the shower tub was slippery as if someone poured shampoo and never bothered to rinse it off, the tub also had its paint chipped. we had a big issue with the door. after breakfast, around 7:30 we went back to our room to get ready for a funeral scheduled at 9:00. to our suprise, the door card stopped working and we were not able […] to get in to the room. . although, it was the maintenance personnel's job to unlock the door, the front desk lady worked on it for about 40 min, though it did take a lot of time. and we also did not have enough time to prepare and arrived late on the funeral services. and had difficulty finding nearby parking and had to walk far to reach our destination. all because we were late, all because of that faulty door Mehr

The Stay in hotel was good, But there were few problem with Bathroom

Just a quick overnight stay. Check in and out were quickly handled and staff was very polite and friendly, willing to help if I needed it. Due to hasty departure (I overslept), I didn't have time to even check out breakfast, but others were using the dining facility. I stayed here because the owners of my apartment building were paving our parking lot and there was no room on the street to park and I figuered it was easier to stay close to home but stay where I knew I'd be comfortable and trusted the hotel. The only bad part was that it right on a very busy street and the vehicle noise kept me awake a lot because […] my room was very close to the street and I"m not used to that noise. If I stay here again. I will make sure my room in farther back from the street. Otherwise I had a good time - the continental breakfast had everything for a hearty but quick breakfast as well. Mehr

My son and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Chula Vista Inn for a week while we vacationed in the San Diego area. Our hotel room had all of things we were looking for when searching for a hotel, such as non-smoking rooms, tv with free cable channels, refrigerator, microwave, free wi-fi internet, a pool, and complimentary continental breakfast. I only remember one night, prior to 10 pm, when the noise from kids talking and playing in the room next to ours was a little too loud for me. At 10 pm, which is when the hotels quiet hours began, the noise dropped to a level barely noticeable. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to friends and/or family visiting the SD area. Mehr

The room was clean and pretty comfortable. The neighborhood was a little sketchy though. I kind of was worried about getting car jacked. Also, the TV was pretty old.

I do business in the Otay Mesa area and prefer to stay overnight here..No Complaints.

Affordable, clean, and great service....plus the breakfast was good (especially the waffles). Stay here.

The Best Western Chula Vista Inn is very near entrance/exits of I-5 and is also right on a regularly served bus route. The bus goes directly to a trolley station, which can get you to downtown in about 20 minutes or Old Town in 30 minutes. There are some good restaurants nearby, most notably Karina's, a Mexican seafood restaurant. The rooms were clean […] and spacious and come with free wi-fi. The bathroom was very clean, but the shower had only one setting and pretty meager flow. The breakfast offered in the morning was decent and free. Mehr

I like Best Westerns, but this hotel lacks the feeling of a top notch chain. The bathtub had it's stopper removed and the parking lot sucked. While I did not feel unsafe, I did not feel 100% at ease. I wish we would have picked downtown San Diego and drove the extra distance.

Stayed here because husband worked in Chula Vista. Does not have pool nor satellite tv. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Close to the 5 and so it was very convenient. The wireless internet was intermittent but it is complementary (as well as the parking)

This hotel was conveniently located to where I needed to be early the next morning. The staff was very nice, the room was clean and fairly updated and the breakfast was satisfying and free! I like that they are very enviromently concerned. I would stay there again if in the area.

I stayed at the Best Western in Chula Vista. This was my first visit to the city and had no idea where I was going. So I booked at this location because it was 15 minutes from most of the placed I wanted to visit, yet I did not know how far from my family. When I first got off the freeway I was disappointed; the neighborhood looked like an industrial […] park gone bad, neglected. However two lights down it started looking OK, a little run down but a maybe. At the intersection where the hotel was looked better; lots of gas stations, fast food places, a mall, grocery stores, etc. (all conveniently located). The hotel area was clean and well maintained. Upon entering the clerk was smiling and was very warm and welcoming. She asked questions and gave me directions to things; how long it would take to get there, great things to see/cost, transportation availability, etc. In other words, She took her time with me as if I was the only person that mattered. The hotel had a pool outside (entrance), parking, and served a great breakfast (make your own waffles, all types of cereal, oatmeal, a variety of pastery, and the other continental breakfast items). Even though the hotel was south of downtown, I was able to get on I-5 and get to the Wharf, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, etc.( all downtown) within 15 minutes; no traffic. Then 5 minutes in the other direction and I was in Mexico; don't drive there, park and walk across. I would stay at this Best Western again on my next visit and highly recommend it. Mehr

I booked a room because I was attendng a concert at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater. The location is very convenient and provides easy access to and from the amphitheater. The hotel and room were clean. The complimentary breakfast was nice as well. The ony negaitive, and it's significant, was the bed. It was a low quality bed - firm, but with little […] cushioning. It squeeked at every move and felt like you were sleeping right on the springs. I'm not sure if that is the case with all of the rooms. The hotel was sold out so I didn't have the option to change rooms. It would be fine for one night, but not more than that. Mehr

Clean & friendly staff. Hotel/room a bit tired looking but all basics covered. Location in Chula Vista not far from mall and good mexican restaurant down the block. A bit out of the way to see most dtown attractions though close to boarder.

good location, stayed there because of seaworld San Diego, was about 15min via freeway and good price/service level

We just needed a place to sleep and something affordable while not sacrificing comfort and cleanliness. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Much to my wife's surprise the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Next time we are in the San Diego area and need a place to crash, we know […] were to go. The room assigned to us was under maintenance when we went in and I had to go back to the office and get another room. The front desk did not realize the room was unlivable and it took them a few minutes to figure out what to do next. The new room was very clean and the front desk called within an hour to confirm that the room was acceptable. My wife and I just wanted an inexpensive place to stay after a concert at Cricket Amphitheatre so we wouldn't have to drive all the way home after the show. This hotel was conveniently close to the venue, was well maintained and the staff was freindly. The room was clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Considero que el horario para el desayuno es muy corto y termina relativamente temprano (9 am), sobretodo que al estar de vacaciones algunas veces te levantas un poco mas tarde, creo que extender el horario a las 10:30 u 11:00 am estaría bien.

La habitacion cuenta con lo necesario para tener una estancia agradable. Cama comoda, regrigerador, microondas. Y tiene varios pequeños buenos detalles, que normalmente no se encuentran en un hotel economico. El personal es muy amable. Me llamo la atencion, que, aunque el hotel tenia muy poca gente y nunca vi a nadie usar el area de alberca, el jacuzzi […] todo el tiempo estuvo funcionando. Stayed 2 night on our roadtrip. Nice hotel with small pool. Had some problems with the toilet, they fixed in within an hour - perfect! Situated both close to downtown and the border to Mexico (about 10-20 minutes! They had free internet which and the free breakfast was ok - the kid loved the waffles!
