Best Western New Baltimore Inn - Coxsackie

Exterior and interior of hotel was very clean and well lit. Easy on/off from Thruway. Only complaint was side door to enter hotel did not need card to swipe and let you in. Not as secure as I would like it to be

My husand and I and our two kids stayed for one night at the hotel just so the kids could swim in the indoor pool. The pool was a little cool for being heated but the kids did not mind as much as me. There are not too many options for food in the area, we ordered pizza, which wasn't bad. The only part of our stay that was not good was the bed, we got […] a room with two double beds, the bed my husband and I slept in was TERRIBLE! It was so stiff the two of us tossed and turned all night. The free breakfast the next morning was good, the one complaint with that was the employee who was taking care of it was spraying windex on the tables while we and others were still eating. But all in all not a bad deal for the kids to do some swimming for the day. Mehr

The hotel was very comfortable and had everything we needed, staff was friendly too. The only thing is the hot tub, really dirty and smelly. Dont go in!!

I was pleasantly surprise by the wonderful experience I had during my stay. The front desk personnel was friendly and most helpful. I had traveled over 200 miles prior to arriving so the hot tub and swimming pool were a perfect combination to relax a sore body. We found the accomodations at this motel to be very good. Everyone there was very courteous and helpful. The motel overall was kept very clean and decorative for the holidays.I would definitely reccomend it to anyone visiting this area.

The pool was not heated. Cold water!!! Only the hot tub works......

I needed a hotel close to Catskill, NY and convenient to the Thruway. This hotel was very centrally located for my needs. My room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was available every morning and they even had a computer available in the lobby so that I could check-in for my flight. All in all a very comfortable stay.

The finance and i just wanted to kick back and relax this new years, and the best western in coxsackie was close and far enough away for us to just stay in and get away for two days. The breakfast provided was delicious and well estaablished. I'm a frequent customer and the best western hasn't let me down yet.

Although out of our way, this worked out great for a trip to Hunter Mountain and Saugerties. It's a well-kept hotel, they take pets, and there's breakfast . Minor, very minor, issue: no hbo. Lots of take-out in the area. Yes, we would stay there again.

Stayed here to attend event in Catskills. Hotel was clean and a good value for the price, nothing fancy. Convenient to Thruway, and rural 5-10 min drive to places to eat. Appreciated the standard amenities, continental bkfast & newspaper.

Generally, this was a great hotel. The sun-drenched indoor swimming pool is awesome! We were disappointed that Housekeeping completely forgot to clean our room after the first night of our two-night stay, but they got us clean towels quickly when we realized it and asked. We were also disappointed that the front-desk person was not very nice about our […] request for a one-hour late checkout (which we did not receive -- had to get out by 11 a.m. pronto) -- I can understand, but she could have been nicer or at least tried to be accomodating. The wall between us and the room next door was very thin, and we heard the other room's TV very clearly, until 5 a.m. the first night and until 1:11 a.m. the second night. The first night, we finally called the front desk (we had slept on and off until that point) and they did call and ask the other guest to turn down his TV, which he promptly did. But the location was great, the hotel was very clean, the pool was really nice. But you might want to bring ear plugs if you happen to be put in a room that can also be used as part of a suite, i.e., if there is a thin partition between you and the room next door. Generally, the front-desk people were extremely polite and did a good job juggling calls and guests. Mehr

I stayed at this BW when I got overtired while driving. It was easy to get to from the turnpike. The front desk lady was friendly. The room was great. Very clean, attractive with comfortable beds. They charge 200ifyou smoke in your room. They are truly trying to be a smoke free place, which I appreciate, being a no smoker with a sensitive nose for smelly […] hotel rooms. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last month. The rooms are always clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is very convenient to the thruway. A great place to stay.

The check in process was excruciatingly slow and the desk clerk chastised me for not asking in advance for a first floor room (which I did upon learning there is no elevator here). There were no towels at the pool and to get one, I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes while a different desk clerk took two phone calls and checked a couple in. The light […] in the bathroom blew out and when I called to desk to report it, the clerks' response was 'uh oh'. From Friday night to Saturday morning we either used the bathroom with the door open, or in total darkness. There appeared to be an ogre convention there as well, evidenced by constant stomping up and down the hall, and my guess is their hospitality room was directly above ours. Service was slow and mediocre, breakfast was horrid, and property was too loud to allow for adequate sleep. I gave up and left at 11:30 PM, preferring to drive all night rather than stay there. Traveling from Minnesota to Long Island and stopped here at the last minute. I made the reservation about 4 hours before arriving. When I arrived they did not have my reservation. I called hotels.com who said they had faxed the reservation. Through trouble shooting with the clerk, we found out the toner was low on the hotel printer and the fax would […] not work with the toner low. The clerk changed out the toner cartridge and the fax printed. Other than this hiccup, the stay was fine. The room was large, but the bathroom was dirty with some mildew and stuff onthe bathroom side of the door. The beds were comfortable and the linen was in good shape. Mehr

Basic motel and comfortable stop on the road. Not really a destination, but a convenient and comfortable place to stay if you need to stop on a long trip or have something to do in the area. Served its function very well but the breakfast was really awful!

The staff at the desk was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

hot water took to long drain in tub took forever to go down was on 1st floor and room above had kids and adults making lot of noise could hear them walking back in forth until late into the night

Close to Thruway exit, entrance a little deceiving at night due to poor lighting. Three floors, but no elevators.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel. We were only there one night, but I will not hesitate to go back.

Other than the traffic on interstate 87 noise... my stay was completely enjoyable. Room was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend the hotel post the 87 exit with their address info of Rt 9W

I booked the hotel on a short notice for a holiday weekend. The service and the friendliness of the all the staff was surprising, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Location is definitely a plus, room is very nice - don't know about shower as didn't use - Heat on the other hand was NOT cool (ha ha). The unit is hard to control - the room got too hot/stuffy (even tho' is was New Year's). Overall, would definitely go again if need arises & would recommend.

The hotel was clean and as expected. It's very close to Exit 21B (New Baltimore/Coxsackie) of the New York State Thruway. Good hotel to stay at if your visiting Camp Tranquillity in Earlton, NY which is 6 miles away west on Route 81. Nice indoor pool with a hot tub.

This hotel is conveniently located right off the Thruway and was not far from where we had planned to spend the day. Hotel was very clean and staff pleasant. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

I KNOW NO HOTEL IS PERFECT, BUT THIS ONE IS VERY CLOSE. WONDERFULL EMPLOYEES, GREAT BREAKFAST,SPOTLESS ROOM AND WONDERFULL BED. MANY GOOD LOCAL RESTRUANTS, BUT BY FAR THE QUARRY STEAK HOUSE WAS THE BEST. SLIGHT ROAD NOISE, BUT NOT A PROBLEM. HAD A BR0KEN TV REMOTE THAT WAS REPLACE PROMPLY. OVERALL A GRET DEAL. WILL RETURN.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and appeared to be well-maintained. It's conveniently located between 2 exits of the of NYS Thruway (21, 21B), providing easy access to the Catskill Mtns., Rip Van Winkle Bridge, and Hudson Valley attractions. All of the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Without realizing it, I'd been booked into an "Extended […] Stay" room, which included a small galley kitchen (sink, microwave, 2-burner electric stove, refrigerator). Although I didn't use the kitchen, it's good to know that it's an option for future stays. The furniture and appliances were in good condition and worked well. The free wireless also worked well throughout my visit. There are several restaurants and a medium-sized supermarket a short distance away. The only negatives would be the water and the card keys. My card key worked perfectly well in my room door, but one of the exterior doors required multiple swipes before unlocking. It should be fixed; instead, there's a note on the swipe device that reads something like "Swipe card repeatedly to open door." As for the water - there's something in it that makes it feel slippery when washing and bathing. It feels as if the soap can't be washed away. Full disclosure: it left no residue on my skin after showering, and I was able to drink it with no problem. Mehr

Had a nice albeit short stay at this hotel near the NY Thruway north of Catskill NY. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast venue was better than average. I've had good experiences at all Best Western I've stayed at here and in France. And the rates were reasonable.
