Sehr ruhige und gute Lage mit prima Verkehrsanbindung zur Innenstadt, Zimmer absolut sauber und gut ausgestattet; vorhandene Gemeinschaftsküche hat alles, was man zum kochen, etc. braucht und das Ambiente desHauses ist sehr angenehm!

Sehr schöne alte Villa mit sehr schönen stilvoll zur Villa passend und dennoch modern renovierten Zimmer. Büro ist zwischen 9:00 und 17:900 Uhr geöffnet. Besitzer sehr freudnolich und hilfsbereicht. Gibt Tips, wenn benötigt.

Bei der Ankunft lag der Schlüssel in einem Umschlag bereit. Es war eine freundliche unaufdringliche Athmosphäre in diesem Hotel. In der gut eingerichteten Küche konnte man Mahlzeiten zubereiten und andere Gäste treffen. Die Zimmer waren nicht groß aber sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Check-In: - Office-Hour bis 17 Uhr, keiner mehr anwesend bei Ankunft: Umschlag mit Schlüssel und kurzer Info (wie das Zusammenleben mit den anderen Gästen funktioniert, welche Möglichkeiten man hat im Haus, wo die T-Station ist, wo es was zu Essen gibt etc.) hinterlassen, mit Bitte um das Ausfüllen einer Info-Karte und offiziellem Check-In am folgenden […] Morgen nach 9 Uhr (Ich weiß nicht, was ist, wenn man erst sehr sehr spät anreist, weil die Haustür über Nacht abgeschlossen wird. Aber es gibt wohl einen Nachtwächtern. In diesem Fall sollte man wohl besser vor 17 Uhr anrufen) Zimmer: - sauber, schönes Badezimmer, schöne Möbel, Klimaanlage zum selber regeln, Flachbildfernseher, kostenloses WLAN - Bett ein bisschen zu weich – zu zweit im Queenbett daher u.U. problematisch, vor allem wenn man keine 1,40 m zu zweit zum Schlafen gewohnt ist - Gefahr, dass man herausfällt (und dann fällt man tief!) Hotel: - Parken umsonst im Hinterhof: kein Problem am Abreisetag nach dem Check-Out das Auto noch bis nachmittags oder so stehen zu lassen nach vorheriger Absprache - es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche: in dem Kühlschrank kann man namentliche gelabeltes Essen und Getränke kühlen), es kann gekocht werden, Toaster und Mirkowelle vorhanden, alles sehr sauber - im Keller gibt es einen Waschraum, wo man gegen kleines Geld waschen kann Anbindung/Umgebung: - T-Station (Greenline D) Longwood in 3-5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen: 15 Minuten bis Park St (Boston Common, Zentrum) für $ 1,70 (mit Charlie Card – vom Management ungefragt erhalten) bzw. § 2,00 (ohne Charlie Card) - Brookline ist ein Vorort von Boston, sehr sichere Gegend, viel Betrieb auf der Straße. I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Longwood Inn. My girlfriend and I were in town for the Yankees/Red Sox game (go Sox!). This place was only a 3/4 mile walk to the stadium. It's in a nice neighborhood and you don't walk through any sketchy parts. It's close, but just far enough away that you're not in the game congestion. The […] on-site parking is free, easy, and sufficient. There is a nice little family park with baseball fields just behind the inn. The kitchen and fridge are communal, which is actually really nice. It feels very homey. This would especially be a great place for couples or families with young children. Our room had a queen bed with a futon we could have used if we had little ones. There is a Trader Joe's in walking distance, if you want to keep the food costs down while still eating healthy, and also lots of shops and restaurants close by. We kept saying that we "found our place in Boston." You can bet that we will be staying here for all future Fenway pilgrimages. Mehr

Just stayed there one night, came in late and left early in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable.

Booked a room to visit son and his cousins. The Inn is ideally located to restaurants, stores and transportation. The facility is clean and friendly; common lounge area has leather couches and the kitchen is fully equipped. Though our room was smaller than we were used to, it was clean. This place looked like a B&B, with Victoriana in the middle of a Brookline neighborhood. Very pretty structures close to Boston hospitals and Coolidge Corner neighborhood. I wanted to like it but is was truly odd. First, looked like B&B but NO breakfast, no food (unless you stock it yourself) at all except the ground floor vending. There were warning […] signs posted throughout the place, to wit: don't do this, don't do that and a seriously unwelcoming feel. More like a pretty boarding house than Inn. Public transit was a healthy distance to the #66 bus or T. I generally stay at B&B so I wasn't expecting a hotel but I wouldn't recommend this spot. Mehr

The Longwood Inn met my expectations since I had read prior reviews. Looks newly renovated. No one there to greet me, had to carry suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. So if you want service this is not the location. Also, do miss not having breakfast but you can prepare your own. My room was cold and took two nights to get an extra blanket. Excellent place , convenient to hospitals in boston ma.

I spent a night at the Longwood and was generally very happy with the accommodations. The exterior is gorgeous (English country house design) and the location is quite good. It's close to two different branches of the MBTA Green Line and also easy walking distance to Coolidge Corners. There is free on-site parking, free WiFi, and even a living room […] and kitchen where you can cook if you want to. There's a lovely deck outside in the back which must be very nice when its not winter. I arrived at 5:30 in the evening and found the office closed. No problem, they had left an envelope with my name on it that contained a room key (yes, they still use real keys) on a table in the entryway. My room (number 35) was on the third floor and it was a walkup. It was a small room (one queen size bed) but it met my needs very well. It was clean, tastefully decorated and generally delightful. Except .... In the morning I got up and was going to take a shower. I went into the bathroom and started the water. There was very little water pressure... so much so that the water fell directly from shower head straight down. It was warm, but not hot and it took a long time to get warm (probably because the room was on the third floor). It was sort of like washing yourself in a sink. There really wasn't a practical way to wash my hair there. Good thing too, because the room had no hair dryer. I realize it's an old building, but this really was a deal breaker for me. Other than the shower, the room was really nice. My guess is that if you are not on the top floor you while probably have a much better experience. Mehr

A great place to stay, near to the T, resturants, stores and has that homey feeling. We didn't actuall meet any of the staff as we got in after 5 and only stayed one night so that's why I rated the service a 3. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!

Easy access to Boston via a $2 train ride (19 mins). from Coodidge corner which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Our room was a bit cramped and the bed sloped a bit but staff were very friendly and helpful. A good compromise of cost and location, but not the easiest place to find from Logan airport at night if it's your first time in town.

Hotel was very quiet, even though located directly on main road. Only 2 blocks from the nearest "T" station into Boston (about a 15-20 minute ride). Our room (on the top floor) was comfortable, but stairs from 2nd floor to our floor were steep and narrow - if you have mobility problems ask for room on ground or first floor! The hotel was convenient to downtown Boston and attractions. The T was only two blocks away. It was in a nice neighborhood that felt very safe and was close to nice restaurants, within walking distance to Coolide Corner. The room was clean and adequate. Small, but just fine for our short stay. Lovely hotel, near Fenway and art museums. Great neighborbood. We did not feel welcome. First, check in clerk showed zero enthusiasm. No smile, no inquiry as to how she could be helpful, no showing us around. Second, there is a kitchen that guests may use, as long as they "clean up after themselves". Very nice, but must we make our own coffee in the […] morning? The hotel staff could not put a pot on for the guests? That sent me the signal that this hotel wants the guests up and out in the morning. If there were coffee, my husband and I would have lingered in the lobby, reading, in the beautiful leather chairs. This was an excellent, homey-feeling place with very friendly staff. Definitely a place to return to. My only criticism is the mattress, which seemed like a refugee from the Eisenhower administration.

Good place! Great access to the "T". No computer printer for guests to print boarding passes. Would be nice if they made coffee in the am, but 5-10 min walk to plenty of restaurant options. Overall nice place!

Well located, comfortable and clean I would definitely recommend The Longwood Inn. Close to the Riverside T and Fenway the staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean and worked. Tip - if you are arriving into South Station my cab cost approx $22 door-to-door. Well worth it if you have luggage. Otherwise, buy a Charlie card for the T from […] any station. We stayed two nights at the Longwood Inn and were completely satisfied with our lodging experience. Very lovely, great atmosphere, close to T-line and browsing in Brookline.

For those who want to feel at home but maintain their privacy, this hotel is perfect. It is a cross between a country bed and breakfast and an urban hotel. You have access to a full (and I mean FULL) kitchen 24/7. the rooms are like those in fine country inns, but as equipped as any chain motel. The wifi is free, an extra few chain hotels offer. the longwood inn is in a perfect location in brookline....it's just a 5-8 minute walk to coolidge corner where there is a plethora of restaurants, etc....we at zaftig's and had a delicious meal! the inn itself is beautifully decorated in the victorian period to complement the orginal home. although breakfast isn't included, there is a fully equipped […] kitchen where one can prepare a meal. the evening we were there, a family was making potstickers from scratch. i wish we had time to watch and learn how to make them! the inn has a front and back porch to watch the world go by. also,there is free parking in back of the inn near the back entrance. the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom and bedroom were exceptionally clean! we would most definitely return to the longwood inn! Its not 5 stars Sheraton, but you also not paying for one. The place is very convenient, clean and quiet. Location is very pleasant, and whithin convenient reach with public transportation to everywhere. For those who want to save a buck, and dont care to brew their own coffee in the morning, its definitely a great deal. Yossi

Nice place to stay, beautiful old victorian mansion. Room is a little small but for the money you can't do better in Boston.

The Inn is perfectly located for the Longwood Medical area. I stayed here for a week while attending a course at the Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The Inn is in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood. Nearby there are many nice restaurants and a Trader Joe's grocery store. (The hotel has a large communal kitchen which is really handy). A short […] walk to the T, so its a pretty good base, even though its a little out of the centre of the city. The room and the common areas were well maintained and clean. The front desk staff are next to invisible and somewhat impersonal. There is only someone in the office from 9-5, with someone on call for emergencies outside these hours, but guests arriving after 5 just pick up their key in an envelope near the entrance. I've never seem a hotel with such minimal service. But they do clean the room each day, and there is a laundry machine onsite. Overall, I'd easily recommend this hotel. Mehr

I stayed at Longwood Inn one night in May. The facility and grounds were lovely. I was given a superior room with two queen beds and it was both spacious and charming. Perfect location.
