Best Western Plus Executive Suites - Redwood City

I would have given it a much better rating. We were supposed to have 2 beds.. We were switched to a suite- no problem there, but when we arrived the second bed was a couch. Again, no problem there. The problem was that when we opened the couch, there was no bedding. We called the office and they sent over bedding, but we had to put it on. I'm not able […] to make the bed so my son did. We were very tired and I am disappointed in the hotel. Mostly it was very nice. Sorry I can't give you a better story! Mehr

The area is not that safe, there are day laborers congregating on the corner and lots of shady businesses. Hotel is OK but the are made me uncomfortable.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. I was a bit concerned because my room this time was above the office, and facing the main street, but it was still quiet. Nothing elegant, but everything works. Like the frig & microwave in the room - leftovers from dinner out made a great breakfast!

Not impressed

The hotel turned out to be very suitable for our 3 night stay. We could go to SFO, the south bay or the east bay easily. We booked 2 rooms. The rooms we stayed in had 2 queen beds per room unlike the 2 double beds or 1 king in most hotels in the Bay Area. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer and WiFi are standard. The TVs are the older […] CRT kind, but that is not a deal breaker for us. The hotel has office facilities and a gym but no swimming pool or spa. The included breakfast is quite nice. The hotel staff was courteous and prompt. It was easy to get in and out of quickly without having to walk to a separate parking facility or pay extra for parking. This is important to us as in many hotels it takes 10-15 minutes to get in and out every time. This is a somewhat older hotel and may not look all that great from outside but it is a good find. Mehr

Low key place, Staff was good, I'll probably stay someone else in the same cluster next time because all the rates are all very low now, might as well get into a nicer place for the same money. Had no unexpected problems in the sketchy looking but harmless neighborhood, seems to have some day labors hanging out looking for work (even on a weekend?) […] odd but nothing happen. Some street noise was a little annoying from time to time. It was nice being in the location with quick drive up / down El Camino; to the Standford mall and others, is not near the freeway. Mehr

I have stayed at a variety of hospitality facilities in the Redwood City area when I am on business trips to the Peninsula. The Best Western Plus Executive Suites in Redwood City was clearly offers the best facilities and service compared to the other 4 or 5 places that I have stayed in the area. The onsite manager went out of her way to be helpful […] and friendly, my room and the gym were both top notch, and the location is quite convenient. I would definitely return! Mehr

Poor aeration in room. Non-smoking room is not available even though they claim it is non-smoking.

Hotel was very good for the price. Most importantly it was very clean and beds were very comfortable! Not the best neighborhood, but pretty close to shopping and resturants. Only bad thing was the refridg/microwave made a clicking noise and had to be unplugged to get any sleep. Other than that, it was a great place for the money!

While the room was clean the hotel was just OK. For the price paid for the room I expected more. We stayed in another hotel previous weekend in same area for much less and much better hotel - better location, size of room, fitness room, safer parking.

The room was nice and beds comfy, except for the pull-out sofa. During the first night a horrible smell permeated the room which may have come from the sauna next door. On the second night, the toilet overflowed (we hadn't flushed it for several hours) and we spent 45 minutes taking buckets of water outside. My mom is handicap and almost slipped going […] into the bathroom because there was water everywhere. We didn't expect management to do anything at 1:00 am and they did offer to move us to another room but it would not accommodate our entire party. We had to use the restroom in a nearby room the remainder of the night and this was inconvenient since my mom is wheelchair bound We expected to perhaps get a second night free but the hotel only refunded $30. Our inconvenience and putting up with the smell that came back the second night was worth much more than that. We will not stay there again and unfortunately it is a convenient drive to Stanford where I must go every 6 months. Mehr

We visit our family in Menlo Park often and have always looked at the surrounding hotels in Menlo Park or Palo Alto to stay. This hotel is a FiND! so close to the attractions of Menlo Park and Palo Alto, yet, so affordable. A 3* rate does not justify the hotel....perhaps a 4?

As far as I am concerned you can pull Best Western off your list of motels because I will never say at one again. The one at Coyote PT is worse.

Very pleased with hotel and staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Was easy commute to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto. Price for room was very reasonable for area, and would be a nice base for travel to other attractions nearby, or even a day trip to Pacific Ocean at Half Moon Bay.

Booked two rooms. Staff very helpful and room was more than I expected. We would stay here again.

Over all the hotel was very nice. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. The location wasn't what I expected but I would stay there again.

We just needed a place to crash after a wedding saturday night, so I was looking for the best price on any hotel in the area. I booked the Best Western Executive Suites because it was close to the wedding location. When I got there I was suprised by how nice it was, our room came complete with a king size bed, large shower, couch, fridge, and microwave. […] Couldn't be beat! Mehr

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room -it was a suite with a sitting room and large bedroom. I stayed five nights and the housekeeping was immaculate. I had nicer accomodations than colleagues who stayed nearby and paid twice as much! The staff, especially the young woman at check in, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was kind of skimpy...and […] wasn't restocked regularly...but when they ran out of something, the front desk agent was happy to refill. The surrounding area has lots of day laborers waiting for work, but they were no bother at all, and as a single woman traveling alone, I did not feel in danger or intimidated. I plan to stay here again next year. Mehr

Everything was fine but the internet connection. When we called tech support as suggested by the front desk representative, we couldn't get any help. Would be a disappointment for business people.
