Hotel ist sehr gut vom Termini zu erreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind ab Termini mit dem Nahverkehr alle zu erreichen.Frühstück könnte es mehr Obst geben für Müsli.

Sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel, Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Und wenn dem Personal öfters wenigstens ein Buon Girono oder Buona Cera über die Lippen kommen würde, wäre es fast perfekt. In gut 10 Min. vom Bhf. Termini zu erreichen, U-Bahn und Busse halten direkt ums Eck. Gerne wieder, wenn es mich nach Rom treibt.

Das Hotel war recht ruhig (Zimmer nach hinten), keine lauten Gäste, nur leichtes Ventilatoren-Gebrumm im Hinterhof. Das Zimmer war recht klein, dürfte aber zum Preis-Leistungsverhältis einer Großstadt passen. Das Frühstück umfasste (ganz un-italienisch!) Eier, Speck und Würstchen, die allerdings etwas heißer hätten sein dürfen.

Hotel liegt 5 min. vom Bahnhof (zu Fuß) entfernt. Alles gut erreichbar. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber. Es war ruhig und das Personal war sehr nett.

Alles war sauber und das Zimmer (108) war angenehm ruhig. TV hatte nur zwei freie deutsche Sender, aber wer braucht das in Rom schon. Internet per Netzwerkkabel wäre möglich gewesen. Das Frühstück ist eher überschaubar. Relativ viel Kuchen, wenig Aufschnitt und Käse. Speck, Rührei und kleine Würstchen sind nicht so toll. Es gibt zwei Fruchtsäfte zur […] Auswahl und guten Kaffee aus zwei relativ neuen Automaten. Es sind zu Fuß etwa 5 Min. zum Bahnhof und damit auch zur Metro. Man benötigt jedoch gut 25 Min. Bis zum Bahnsteig Leonardo-Express und ca. 15 Min. bis zur Metro-Haltestelle (Linie A und B) am Bahnhof Termini. Eine weitere Metro-Haltestelle (Linie B) Richtung Colloseum ist vielleicht 100 m um die Ecke. Die Lage des Hotels ist für ein ausgedehntes Rom-Wochenende oder ein paar Tage ausgezeichnet. Mehr

Hotel liegt ca 5 Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Großteil der Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Für weitere Strecken (Vatikan) gibt es vom Hauptbahnhof Termini eine gute U-Bahn und Bus Verbindung. Das Hotel selbst verfügt über einen unscheinbaren Haupteingang, der sich in einer Nebenstrasse befindet. Erster Eindruck, kein 4-Sterne Hotel! […] Dieser Eindruck hat sich auch beim betreten unseres - wohlgemerkt - Superior-Zimmers im 2.Stockwerk bestätigt. Hatte schon einige Hotelaufenthalte in 4-Sterne Hotels, habe aber noch nie ein so kleines und dunkles Zimmer gesehen. Zum schlafen OK, in unserem Fall jedoch war Schimmel in einer Ecke und auch das Badtelefon war defekt. Nach Beschwerde an der Rezeption bekamen wir ohne großes Aufheben ein neues Zimmer im 6.ten Stock zugewiesen. Der Unterschied zum ersten war immens!!! Größeres Bad, bessere Ausstattung und eine große Dachterrasse! Beachte, gleicher Preis!! Also unbedingt bei Buchung auf ein Zimmer im 6.ten Stock bestehen. Frühstück war OK, Standard. Jedoch etwas lieblos und der Frühstücksraum war sehr klein und ohne Fenster. Leider konnte man die Klimaanlage nicht regeln bzw. Nachts abschalten. Für uns störend, da sehr kühl. Auf telefonischer Nachfrage, die jedoch jeden Abend neu erfolgen musste wurde teilweise Abhilfe geschaffen. Fazit: Für ein Hotel in dieser Lage und zu diesem Preis eine gute Wahl (6.Stock!), jedoch nur wenn man an ein 4-Sterne Hotel in punkto Ausstattung und Komfort keine große Ansprüche stellt. Mehr

Das Hotel ist günstig in der Nähe des Bahnhofs Termini gelegen. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, aber diverse Details sind verbesserungswürdig (Duschvorhang eingerissen, Lift ausgefallen, beim Frühstücksbuffett mindestens ein defekter Kaffeeautomat, relativ enger Frühstücksraum).

I am not one to write reviews, but I felt this had to be said to all those looking for hotels in Rome. The pictures looked nice......don't let it fool you. Though we knew staying in Europe the rooms would be small this is to be expected, and we also knew that we would over pay....however I have some expectations from a four star hotel and this was not […] it. The beds were terrible, the bedding was terrible and a comforter you would question even touching. The Bathroom was ok, but the shower drain did not drain well, so you had to keep putting the water on and off for it to catch up. We stayed at the hotel for a week in July and our experience was amazing. As most people pointed out great location. Close to subway and train station is about a 10 minutes walk. The hotel is located around the corner from the Termini station in Rome. Considering that you can get a cheap taxi from outside the station all the must see sites are available quickly from here. Also the surrounding area has Rome style restaurants that offer the safe feeling of people eating on the streets late at night. The hotel itself for the price […] is what you would expect, good and the staff attended to all my requests. Put simple I have travelled globally, the hotel has a decent tv , free wifi, good bathroom and cheap price for all. We had a room on the 4th floor and faceing the court yard. It's quite and clean. Staffs are polite and freindly. There are lots of restaurants around.

The hotel was very nice, but the bed was as hard as a rock! Other than that, it was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding ..... especially for Europe. Bus and metro were very convenient so it was easy to get to all of the major tourist sites. Would probably stay there again.

Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. It had a great complimentary breakfast in the morning, and access to wi-fi, which were two of the most important things for us. It was farther away from the main sites, but the metro stop was just a 1 minute walk, and termini station was a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were nice and it's a big plus that they can speak English. It was nice to have an all you can eat breakfast. They have contracted an Italian guy to valet, whom you pay cash when you check out. They listed it as 27 Euro a day but that's the minimum. The room was very clean, though the hallway smelled like dirty bathroom (don't know why). The rooms are set up with twin beds, which are put together if you request a double bed. The location is great! It's close to most things you want to see in Rome. The main terminal (which is a train and metro stop), is only a few blocks away. There's also a bus stop a block away from the hotel. This bus stop is convenient because there are few bus lines that stops by it. The neighborhood offers a great array of various places to eat. We felt safe walking the alleys with our children. There is also a grocery store a block away, which is great if there are things you have forgotten or need to go to a supermarket for. Nice hotel but room was small and elevator was tiny. Trying to get luggage up to room was hard. Also bar was silly and closed to early. Breakfast was great but way too much going on while we were trying to eat. It was a free for all instead of a nice start to the day.

If however you think that for this price you should have a little more than the bare minimum, go elsewhere. This isn't a terribly fancy hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations (relative to what I paid). The bathroom was quite spacious and in good condition, and even the bed was fairly comfortable, though it looked pretty old. My main complaints were that the air conditioning didn't work -- this wasn't a huge issue since I happened to be there on a […] relatively cool night, but I could easily see it being a problem for others who were less fortunate -- and the front desk service was a little abrupt. There was also no wi-fi available, which is something they should remedy. Also: the neighborhood near the train station isn't great at night, so bear that fact in mind if you're coming in late (as I did). We picked the Best Western for its location for our last night in Rome upon returning from a cruise. It's close to Termini Station so we had a choice of metro or shuttle bus to the airport. We stayed here in July 2011. The hotel is convenient to central Rome, The Metro and Stazione Termini. There are lots of restaurants nearby however it can be very noisy at night. There is lots of street noise from time to time however it is Rome so, it can be noisy regardless of where you stay. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful.

On our honeymoon and first trip ever to rome, We were expecting more than staff that rolled there eyes at us and seemed inconvienenced when we spoke to them, even when we said hello to them in passing they chose to ignore us.. The Staff and management need a good reality check on what customer service means..

The front desk were not very helpful when I asked about wireless service which did not exist. They suggested the televison internet which did not work properly. The front desk seemed to be more of an obstacle then a solution to my concerns. Was given misleading information on alternate wireless availability in the neighbourhood. THE AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK, WE REQUESTED TEA MAKING FACILITIES WHEN THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP,THE FRIDGE DID NOT KEEP THE MILK FROM TURNING. The only thing to consider is Via Villafranca is only a block street, so it's difficult to find it in the maps, but once you get there, only 5 streets from Termini and you have access to all public transportation you will need.

We had everything we needed, breakfast, nice room, wonderful staff that spoke english and where extremely helpful and the location was ideal - two blocks from a metro stop and 15 minute walk to Termini station. The room […] was lovely, but small as they tend to be in Europe and the street was noisy - welcome to Rome. I don't think there IS a quite street! This area is very accessable for getting around and is an okay area to be walking in at night. Overall my friend and I (two women) felt very welcome and safe at this hotel and location. There was a very nice restaurant across the street and several in the area. There is a laundromat with internet access just 1 1/2 blocks away as well as several ATMs in the area. If you are like us and don't plan to spend your days in the hotel but want a clean, safe place that meets your basic needs, this place is perfect. Mehr

The three of us stayed at the Best Western Villafranca for three nights. Pleasant staff at the front desk. The room was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately no WiFi and the breakfast room was a bit small for the number of guests in the hotel. As for the location ... within walking distance to the train station and many great restaurants.

Our room was spacious all things considered, the neighborhood was quiet, close to a subway, and with food and a small grocery store near by. I can't remember how we found this hotel while searching, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone closely budgeting their trip to Rome. Oh, and the breakfast was spectacular, too.

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. The breakfast staff was very helpful and the reason, I believe, this hotel has a 4 star rating. The rest of the hotel -- NOT 4 star. I did not think the front desk was helpful and the room was extremely small (the worst I have seen in all my european travels--my family all lives in Europe so travel […] there quite regularly). It was convenient to the trains and the metro, but there was nothing else in that neighborhood. For young travelers (we are a couple in our early 30s) I would not recommend this location. I loved Rome, but would definately pick a different location next time around. You can find just as nice of places in areas that you would much rather be in for similar prices. Mehr

The Villafranca is really handy for the Metro and the main Termini station, which makes getting to the historical sites really easy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, with plenty on offer. Overall, a practical choice if you're in Rome for a few days.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for convenience. We arrived very late in Rome and were able to take the train straight to Termini and then walk 8mins or so to the Hotel.
