This hotel is perfect if you are travelling through Barcelona and need a Hotel near the International Airport! Free shuttle to and from airport - perfect! Good breakfast and comfortable rooms!

Hotel fine, but very expensive for breakfast m- 25euros for nothjing more than a cafe breakfast. Food was not kept warm on a hot plate, selection very poor. Cafe food for snacks. Sandwich 5 euros and 3 euros for a samll bottle coke, and 4 euros for a cup of tea!!!! Will not recommend to anyone else for that reason.

Clean and modern hotel. Located in industrial park away from city center, but close to airport

The staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome, help us with transportation to the city and pick us up at the airport. The hotel is in an area between the Airport and the City and provides a complimentary airport shuttle. We used the shuttle both ways and it was very nice and timely. The front desk staff helped us locate the bus to the […] city center (Bus 21) and the bus stop (directly outside the hotel) which was nice and saved a lot of money opposed to taking a taxi. There was not much located in the neighborhood surrounding the hotel but it was a quiet place to get a good nights rest and only a 10 minute ride to the airport and 20 minute bus to the city center. The hotel appears older from the outside but once you get inside it is great and very modern. There is free wifi inside, the rooms have very nice beds, LCD TVs, modern shower/bath combo, are clean and have hardwood floors. We found the hotel to be very adequate. We stayed one night on our way to board a ship for a trans-atlantic cruise. We found the rooms to be very adequate and were very clean. A very beautiful hotel, and reasonably priced.

Once we were organized as where to pick up the Shuttle, everything went smoothly.

If you are only in Barcelona for a day or two before moving on this is a great hotel for your money. The hotel is on a main road giving access by bus to the downtown sites.(#21). The free shuttle bus to the airport is a bonus worth considering especially for the budget minded traveller. We stayed in this hotel to have a free shuttle to the airport in the morning. Our drivers were very nice, coming and going, and the staff was helpful when we got in so late at night. Both both the room and the bathroom were neat and tidy; a great value for the price.

Hotel is a few minutes from the airport and has shuttles that you sign up for when you arrive. Can call the airport and they will pick you up. Quick breakfast meal. Comfortable room and beds.

A very nice hotel with a lively bar with light food. The restaurant didn't open until 8:30 p.m. Shuttle to the airport was convenient.

This hotel got big rooms and clean too. However, it is located in an industrial area which made it not very convenient to go to downtown. Plus if you have to go out to get a bite to eat or to shop, you have to walk out a bit to the closest neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Alfa. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. This works if one needs to stay near the airport. The neighborhood is not great. However it only takes ~15 euro (2011) to go to city heart like Plaza Cataluyana/ Espana from the hotel.

This hotel met my requirement as decent lodging close to the Barcelona airport. There is a free shuttle to the airport -- just inform the front desk when you need to be at the airport and they'll tell you when you should be in the lobby to catch the shuttle van. The hotel is clean and has the bus serivce to town and it's much cheaper than taking the taxi. it's clean and close to the airport as well. the bath room is very cool. free internet service too, which is great in Europe. The only thing to improve is the mattress. it's not very soft and fluffy but on the harder side. But it's okay. i like the hotel.

Quite a long ways to the airport, they have shuttle service but our flight was too early so cost 15 Euro. it is a very nice hotel... for the price is just about right... we only stayed there one night because we had an early flight the next day.... It's a 10-15 minute drive from the hotel to the airport.... I would personally stay there again.. Id need to rent a car though... definitely recommend it.

We had been in Spain for 10 days and had a great experience. We had scheduled this hotel due to the reported proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service provided. Upon arrival the attendant did not give us any greeting. He didn't even look up from his computer, he just said, "passport." We told him we needed to schedule the shuttle for our […] early morning flight. He said, "the shuttle is full." No apology, no options. When explained that we had booked this hotel based on the complimentary shuttle service. He said we could rent a taxi. When asked how much he said 25-30 Euros. We needed two taxis due to our group size and had no other choice but to schedule two taxis. He was very rude and would not even give us any other options. So we ended up paying nearly 60 euros ($90-100 US Dollars) for two taxis at a hotel that we had booked based on it's reported proximity to the airport and shuttle service. I'm not sure what portion of this hotel is 2.6 miles away from any part of the airport. The taxi ride took us over 15 minutes with absolutely no traffic. Conveniently close to the Barcelona airport with an airport shuttle bus. Restaurant was pricy, but food was tasty. The air conditioning did not work well throughout the hotel and having it shut off automatically every time you left the room did not help. It was so hot that we were never comfortable while in the room.

reception desk staff seemed overworked. 2 different individuals could not even smile at us, as we interacted.

This is not a hotel to get if you are at all interested in Barcelona, and being immersed in the city. Let's face it - you just booked a cruise and need a one day layover next to the airport. Right? Alfa Aeroporto is great in all you need - bilingual front desk, power adapter supplied, free airport shuttle, nice big room, free wi-fi (and even two public […] computers to use), and an accomodating staff that let you check in super early - 7-10am they were checking folks in! The breakfast is, of course, overpriced - $5 euro for a croissant and juice/coffee, or $13 for their buffet. Don't do it - go into town, get a good breakfast. there is a bus stop right outside, and you can catch bus 21 into the main city area for shopping - $3 euro round trip isn't terrible. You can even catch that bus rather than spend the $25 euro on a taxi, up to you. The front desk guy deserves credit - I saw him dealing with about 20 American couples/families, all plopping in from 7 to 10am and waiting for rooms. He was calm and collected, despite all these ridiculously early arrivals, even with silly requests for luggage receipts and all that. He was a bit of an emotionless vulcan, but you have to be to deal with all that. We went into town and grabbed lunch, and wine and subs for dinner, which was fine. Room has a fridge, tv with a few english channels, and an uncomfortable two-twins-pushed-together bed. Bathroom was big, and unlike our other Barcelona hotels, actually had a door you could slide shut. :) Mehr

I was a bit disappointed--I chose this hotel specifically because it was near the airport and had a free shuttle. However, when I arrived the shuttle was no longer running, and it cost me over €20 for a taxi ride, passing many closer hotels on the way! And when I awoke in the morning, the power was out, although restored fairly quickly.

I wish I had known there was a free shuttle to and from the airport. We arrived in Barcelona and I booked a hotel close to the airport intentionally because we had been travelling for 18 hours and I knew we'd be tired ... The taxi driver took us on an unscheduled drive around the city before arriving at the hotel, 25 euros later. After checking in, […] I looked out the hotel room window and could see the airport control tower! Welcome to Spain. The bus ride to the city centre took 40 minutes, and there is nothing else but industrial buildings in between so God help you if you get off at the wrong stop. The hotel restaurant and bar is ridiculously expensive for what you get. The room was fairly inexpensive compared to the other accommodations we experienced in Spain. A good place to stay if you need to be near the airport and nothing else, and if you know about the free shuttle! Mehr

After traveling on a cruise, we looked for a place to stay near the airport for travels the following day. We were surprised to find this nice little property. It had free computer access, the staff spoke english and were helpful, they had a nice spread for breakfast for only 7 Euros and a free shuttle to the airport! The room was clean...downside TV […] without english subtitles...a day of reruns of Columbo in spanish. We opted for a bus trip back into Barcelona for the day, easy to get there however, request a bus schedule or print on from the computer before you go. It was difficult to locate the return bus stop without speaking Spanish. We did it but, it would have been easier to find the 21 bus if we had the schedule in our pocket. This was the best deal we got in Barcelona and the hotel ended up being nice for our needs. I picked this hotel for convenience to the Barcelona airport for flying out early next day. It is convenient, the hotel has a shuttle to the airport which is only a few minutes away. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly AND they spoke enough english to help with travelers.....at least these travelers, and the restaurant has good food. […] While the hotel is in an industrial warehouse area there is a bus stop very close to the hotel so you can go to Barcelona for one last walk of the Rambla or whatever is on your list. The hotel is abysmal and sad. The customer service was horrible. The person at the front desk led us astray when we were asking about where the shuttle from the airport picked us up. I said we were coming from Terminal 2 and if there was a stop there. He said that there was a pickup at Terminal 1, by parking lot G. From T2, we rushed to get to the shuttle.... […] first stop after that before the hotel? TERMINAL 2, right were we had arrived. Geez! 'Gym' is a joke. What kind of hours are operations are 9am-9pm? And when we got there at 9 am, found out it was a gross pool with stains on the bottom and a closet where they stuffed in an old bike. The 'sauna'? Use it and you may catch some kind of venereal disease. Ate at the 'bistro'. Took 40 minutes to get microwaved pizza that tasted like cardboard. The room is disgusting. Beds are old and sunken in. Wouldn't touch the bedspread. They haven't been washed in 20 years. Ironically, the bathroom was amazingingly new & renovated. Nicest part of the room. Should've slept in there! But I took no chances and still wore my flipflops in the shower. The inroom safe isn't digital. Some 10 year old contraption that you'll need to get a key from the front desk to use. Parking lot -- They charge, even if you are a guest. And then it wouldn't take our credit card (and it only takes credit card). So you're there re-trying constantly, while getting charged. Went for a run in the morning. The sad, desolate area had only warehouses that had the sour stench of sadness. And for being advertised as only 2.5 miles away from the airport, the shuttle takes at least 30 minutes to get to the airport. The bright side? At the end of an otherwise lovely vacation in Spain, I couldn't WAIT to go home. Mehr

Comfy beds, Powerful shower, Clean and Good Staff - all that we needed! Shuttle bus to and from BCN airport (the main reason we booked) was great - but worth noting that it picks up from T1 first, so if you're at T2 and the bus is filled at T1 - you may be waiting for the next service!

I made the mistake of trying to find the hotel by car without a GPS, a difficult endeavor. I suggest using the shuttle to and from BCN airport. This hotel is suitable for those needing to be in close proximity to BCN.

recently spent 4 nights in this hotel, had the relevant research done beforehand so was aware it was a distance from the city. There was no problem, regular bus just outside the door and very cheap fare. staff very pleasant and helpful. Food very good value and quality. staff at reception, in particular, extremely helpful. We forgot to lock our safe […] in bedroom one day, phoned reception from the city, they arranged to get the safe locked and held key at reception for us and all goods intact, very trustworthy. The staff on that hotel are not very friendly and helpfull.I will definitely not recommend the hotel to anybody i know.We are very disappointed on their service.

We just needed a convenient place to stay for our out-going flight the next day, this hotel fit the bill nicely. The shuttle picked us up at the airport withing 30 minutes, check-in was quick and the room was clean. If I had any complaint at all, it was the prices of the food in the restaurant. The location of the hotel is very industrial - no available restaurants in the vicinity unfortunately, but it was only for one night. There was the convenience of the shuttle from the Airport to the hotel at no charge. The hotel is in an industrial area far from anything and is quite noisy as it is right on the road for the truckers getting onto the main highway to downtown. You have no choice but to eat at the hotel for dinner and found it to be fairly expensive and for early departures, […] the dining room was not open and could not even get a cup of coffee. The night clerk was very helpful and spoke English compared to the clerk that checked me in earlier who I found not very helpful. Mehr

Difficulty finding the shuttle (that was supposed to pick us up at the airport). Called in advance but still, the hotel desk worker's directions (to locate this shuttle/minibus) were inadequate. We wasted alot of time and became very cranky and physically fatigued looking for the correct minibus pickup location.

This hotel is good for it's purpose as a stopover location when using the airport. The personnel are very friendly and the food and service are good.

The shuttle to this hotel leaves on time every 30 mins. This is great if you MUST be near the airport, however with the Aeroport Bus which takes you quickly into the city for only 5.30 euro's I would recommend staying in Barcelona itself. We found ourselves taking a cab into the city, thereby defeating the cost benefit of staying near the airport.

Good Location,evrything was good except a very unconfortable bed

Room was confortable and good for the price. A little noisy with truck traffic, and remote to places to visit. For an airport hotel it was fine along with free shuttle to and from airport. Had to wait about 20+ minutes for shuttle to pick us up. No problem on way back to airport. All in all, go for it!

The hotel although not accessible by any public transport from the airport, they have excellent free shuttle to hotel. The shuttle was available right outside the arrival terminal. The hotel was nice with friendly staff. The room was cleaned with all the free amenities. Highly recommended.
