Best Western Plus Timber Cove Lodge - South Lake Tahoe

es ist zwar nicht das neueste ABER sehr sauber, freundlich, wunderschoene Lage, gegenueber ein safeway, ein ordentliches fruehstueck bis auf den amerikanisschen kaffee..... wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden auch bei unserem naecchsten aufenthalt in tahoe dort verweilen......

Sehr schönes Hotel, direkt am Lake Tahoe gelegen.Zimmer mit Kamin, Seeblick und Balkon. Das beste Best Western auf unserer Rundreise.

Best part was the hotel is dog friendly

Very nice hotel with a great view of the lake (if you get a lake view room). My only complaint is that I wish there was a hotel like this on the other side of the lake, out of the casino area and conjestion. I hate that the construction of those casinos was ever allowed anywhere near Lake Tahoe. Money Talks.

Great hotel. The breakfast was awesome! There were waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. in addition to what you would expect from a free hotel breakfast. The surrounding area was cute - it looked like a little village and was right on the water of Lake Tahoe. The room was very clean. I was more than happy with my stay.

We chose this hotel based on the ratings and price. It's been years since my husband & I stayed at a Best Western so we were a little hesitant simply because the bigger hotel chains seemed to be better choices, especially with kids. However, we were happily surprised by Best Western Plus Timber Cove Lodge: the staff was friendly; the rooms were excellent, […] CLEAN & updated; and our view of the lake was an added bonus! Our kids (ages 15 & 11) enjoyed the room as well, so overall, we were highly satisfied! We intend to return in the future and book again with Best Western Plus Timber Cove Lodge! Mehr

the hotel location is veryconvinience to every place you want to see and the hotel staff are very pleasant to deal with,breakfast is so nice,food is warm,kids will enjoy. no regrets for the next time stay !

I've stayed in all variety of hotels and lodgings in Lake Tahoe, and for the price, this is perhaps the best location and amenities wise for a cheap 1 night stay in the mountains to get in 2 days of skiing. Great Italian place right across the street, and the hotel is right on the lake.

room is clean. easy access to the beach. provide breakfast. no microwave and fridge. sound from upper rooms can easily be heard at night.

What a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room - fireplace and warm and cozy with comfortable beds. Awsome free breakfast Fireplace Very clean bathroom and bed close to south lake fun Only issue was the guests upstairs kept hearing their footsteps but no huge deal

Nice view of lake out the back door/window. Also, it was nice to have a small table with two chairs to spread out a little. The hotel maid service was exceptional. They turned on the lights and had the gas fireplace warmed up for us when we came back late one night. Everything was picked up nicely each day. Workers in the breakfast room were welcoming […] as well. Scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles was a treat each morning before skiing. A free shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel and drops off at the village gondola. Overall, this was a great value. Mehr

a very nice room . but small, great veiw

The staff is very friendly and the continental breakfast was great. We were skeptical when booking it but we followed fellow Yelpers who gave very good reviews. We glad we stayed in this hotel.

This Best Western was the nicest I've stayed at. The premises was large and spread out; the lakeside location just across the street from a Safeway was very convenient.

The Best Western Plus Timber Cove Lodge was located right on the beach of beautiful Lake Tahoe, just down the road from Stateline and the Heavenly gondolas. Our room was equipped with a fireplace which added warmth and coziness. This is by far the best Best Western I have stayed at. The rooms were modern and clean, and the views of the lake were amazing. Aside from the lack of elevators- I would consider it a 3star hotel by far!

Enjoyed the stay. Recommended overall.

Great location, great service, good value

It is located near the lake and good view from the room and around a mile from famous Gondola rides. The only issue we had was that the room does not have microwave and we have to go to the common kitchen area out side of the room in the chilling cold to get hot water for my baby. Over all it was nice staying there.

The hotel is located at a very convenient location in Tahoe. Views from the hotel are fantastic. I love the hotel, it would have been perfect only if the service would have been good. I am inclined to dislike it a bit as the front desk person was rude and arrogant. He refused to help even when the keys to the room were not working. I had to walk back […] to the reception in the cold twice, leaving my family in the cold, just to get into the room. I hate it when people do that. Mehr

I have been staying here over Thanksgiving for the past three years and will continue to come back! I would recommend asking for a room with a view of the lake as well as away from maid's quarters as it can be a nuisance to hear them rolling past your room and opening and closing their door all day. Nice room

Great location. Good hotel for the amount of money we had paid. We booked it with Expedia and the price was great. It is across the street of Safeway, next to the lake. Clean rooms, small rooms. This was my second time spending our Thanksgiving in this hotel. Free breakfast was a bonus.

Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and snow covered mountains. The room was very nice, the beds very comfortable...there were plenty of extra towels and blankets on hand. The fireplace was especially nice. Nice access to internet too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the free breakfast was a madhouse our second day there […] (Black Friday). There really was not room for so many people all at once. I would suggest that they increase the breakfast hours when they know they have so many people staying. They did seem to have enough food, it just ran out so quickly with that many..but they did replace it quickly. Lots of convenient stores and shops nearby. Mehr

The hotel staff was very courteous and attentive to our needs. Room was very nicely appointed...the gas fireplace a pleasant & romantic touch. This was a mid=week stay in November and it was not crowded and so peaceful and quiet. You are walking distance to the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe since the hotel backs up to it. Thank you for very nice accomodations. LIKE!

Very clean room on well kept property. Big super market across the street and the gorgeous Lake Tahoe in the back yard. Decent breakfast buffet. We'll stay here next time.

Fireplace is sealed. Nice and pleasant.

The room was facing the beach and the lake. Very clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Recommended.

This is a great hotel, perfect location! It's right on Lake Tahoe with breathtaking views and close to all of the Tahoe activity, yet still a relaxing and peaceful spot. We've stayed here several times and will come again.

The Lodge is very well located and easy to find on the shore of Lake Tahoe at South Tahoe, with good views across the lake. I went a bit out of season, but all the facilities looked good. The business facilities worked well (it is nice to find more than one PC in a hotel). The nearby Blue Water restaurant was excellent, and the hotel breakfast above […] average. Overall we liked the hotel. Even though other people "complained" about the size of the room, it was not an issue for us. We like the closeness to the lake and the long dock out into the lake. We like clean rooms and our room was clean. A comfortable bed is also a must and the bed was comfortable.

Enjoyed the stay. And the staff were friendly
