Das Zentrum von San Diego ist gut über die Autobahn zu erreichen etwa 15 Min ebenso Seaworld. Sehr empfehlenswerte Lage des Hotels. Saubere Zimmer und freundliches Personal.

The guy at the front desk gave me the wrong key at least 3x. Due to all the key switching, another guest was given my same room key about 3 hours later and walked in on me. I was scared to death and absolutely livid. This was my second time staying at this hotel and I am definitely in no hurry to return anytime soon.

hotel is a very old hotel. Carpets was very dirty and dusty Bed was not comfortable Staff was friendly, but she couldn't help much. Initially we were given a room which was dirty and dusty. We asked the staff she showed few different ones. But all of them were dirty. But we choose the less worst one.

I actually enjoyed my stay at the Best Western. Good prices for the rooms as well.

The room overall was what I expected for the price. However, the continental breakfast area is a lot smaller than it should be. The coffee pots did not work and the attendant only offered that we go back to our rooms since we had coffee pots in there. Problem was that we had already turned in our room keys and so we had to go to McDonald's to get coffee.

This hotel is a great place to stay. It is clean, well lit, has a good continental breakfast, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Sure it's an older hotel but its clean and who goes to San Diego to spend time at the hotel.

hotel employee jen was just great very helpful and willing to help make our stay the best possible. would stay again.

It's definitely and older hotel, and it shows. But if you want a cheap place to stay it works!

Easy to find & friendly service. Experienced a little trouble with the door's locking mechanism, but eventually figured out the trick. Finding a hotel in the area which offered both a Pool & Breakfast was important to us and both amenities were satisfactory.

If you're JUST looking for a place to sleep, this is a great hotel for the price. The room was clean and the staff was great. The main downside was that the shower/tub didn't really work. The water was either scalding hot or didn't come out at all. Made for a fun shower.

HOTEL IS CONVIENENT , BUT RUGS ARE VERY DIRTY AND BEDS AND PILLOWS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE.

If you can't afford to stay in downtown San Diego, this is not a bad alternative. Trolley is right behind the hotel but takes 20-30 minutes depending on time of day. Beware staying downtown too late unless you're prepared to take a taxi back. Otherwise, the staff was friendly, helpful and the room was in ok shape. If you're stuck at the hotel there is fast food, bar/restaurant, convenience store, and supermarket all within walking distance. I only needed the hotel to sleep in and it was fine.

Hotel smelled awful, light in bathroom did not work, very outdated...got there very late due to travel times so we weren't there very long...would not suggest it for a stay longer than one night. Hotel manager was very nice and professional though.

The hotel was really great for the money. Very average but close to everything. A good place to stay if you dont want to pay the higher rates closer to San Diego. Beds were kind of hard and make sure you ask for an extra pillow, they were not so fluffy. Nice staff and tons of close stores and places to eat.

Room smelled terrible, ants were in the bathroom, which wasn't that big of a deal until they started biting your bottom while using the facilities. Our 7 year old clogged the toilet and the office was utterly useless in helping us. Apparently the only person trained to not only unclog a toilet but to also know where they keep a plunger is only available from 9-5. Luckily there was a grocery store not to far away and we were able to go buy our own plunger. Beds were terrible. Needless to say I will never stay there again.

for the price the hotel is great. the bed however was hurting my back every morning. the free breakfast was good but you had to wait for the waffles. overall if you don't want to spend that much money on a room this is a great place.

OK if you just need a cheap place to sleep for one night and you're not going to be at the hotel for very long.

I am very pleased with my stay at the Best Western South Bay Inn. The Staff was the best that I have seen . We had a few problems when we first got there. But the staff took care of them right away. I plan to stay there when I go back to Chula Vista.

Very friendly staff; good breakfast; micro and fridge in the room as well as safe. Rugs and bathroom floor stained. But worth the money.

Great place to eat next door...I believe it was aunt emma's but the hotel its self was like an militry hang out...

The Chula Vista Best Western surpassed my expectations. The room was clean and the entire property was nicely kept. Cool neighborhood with some decent bars and restaurants to walk to. We requested non-smoking, 2 double beds, etc. and actually got what we were promised. One bummer was that all the soda machines were broken and I had to walk off site just to get some 7-UP. Other than that, really good experience here.

We checked in at 2:30am and I counted 9 hookers looking for johns on the hotel property. One was fortunate enough to find one and she and he checked into a room right after we picked up out room keys.

This hotel is very clean with a comfortable bed. With in walking distance to Trolley, grocery store, restraunts, liquor store, laundry mat, and the visitors center is all right there where you need it. The breakfast bar had plenty to choose from The pool area was a little messy, they did not tend to it as well as I would have liked them to. Over all this hotel was much better than those near Cornodo Island. It offered more and the location is the key.

The room we requested was a non-smoking room but smelt like a smoking room. The continental breakfast was meager and the third day we were there they were out of practically everything. Very small eating facility. Not the "Best" hotel I have stayed in.

this one was just ok. if you only plan to sleep, it's awesome. the room we had, it was hard to plug anything in. was trying to use my connection, and ALL of the outlets were loose except for the one behind the tv cabinet, which was REALLY hard to access. spacious bathroom with vanity, decent sized tv, but not a great breakfast. waffles tasted funny, and the hard boiled eggs were overcooked. we were told by the booking agent "buffet style", and we stayed here specifically because my bf got an awesome breakfast at another best western. luckily, there is a pancake restaurant in walking distance, and a mcdonalds across the street.

This hotel was one of the less expensive near San Diego. I was not sure what to expect but was satisfied with my experience. The hotel was right off the freeway and easy to get to. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. It was nice to have a fridge and a microwave in the room. There was free Wi-Fi and I had no problems with getting a signal or logging on. The free breakfast was okay. They had cereal, pastries, toast, etc. They also had waffles but they had a lady guarding the machine to make them. She was about the LEAST friendly person at the hotel. Her service was terrible. The last morning there she gave out waffles to her friends while someone had been waiting for one. Overall, this was a very good deal for the money. I would stay here again if I needed a cheaper place to stay while in San Diego. It was a very short drive to get to the Zoo, Seaport Village or Coronado.

WIFI did not work. Was out in our room area for the entire stay. Had to go to the lobby to function. Finally went to the local library. Only one ice machine, eventhough there were signs for other locations. Access to workout room locked, desk could not always find key. Should be on electronic key matched to room. Tub and shower had problems knobs kept falling off and stopper didn't work. Pool unheated- was at 54 degrees when we were there. (Yes I used a thermometer) Staff tried, but were hindered by conditions.

i was satisfied with this hotel. it is located close to the interstate and the location was close to businesses. had a little trouble connecting to their wireless network the second night i was there, but it was not a huge deal to me since i was mainly there to just sleep.

It was a decent enough hotel, but we had trouble getting the key to work in the lock and there was an odor coming from the heater/ac that smelled like chewing tobacco.

We wanted to cross the border to Tijuana to get our new visa and this hotel was perfectly situated. There is a train that leaves from near the hotel to the border. Hotel was cheap and included breakfast and can't ask more for the money.

Room was dirty, with water stains on large portions of the carpet. I was surprised this could be rated 2.5 stars. I had reserved a king but they didn't have the room I requested so they upgraded me to a room with 2 queens. This did not help the planned romantic weekend. Get your parking spot early or you may be walking the length of the hotel from the car to your room.

I’d go back to that hotel. It's convenient and economical and clean. I just didn't like the way the employee service the Breakfast room - she's a bit impolite and of course, the free Wi-Fi was definitely slow. Other than that, I like the service, all in all.

This hotel met our expectations which was basically a clean room in a relativley safe area at a great rate. It was just fine for our needs which were rooms to sleep in on New Years Eve. Thank you

They try to charge for use of safe in room... just ask at checkout to remove those charges - we forgot and had to call a few days later. They were polite and very nice about taking it off. Saw a couple of ants. its not 5 star, but for what we got - not bad. Clean/comfy enough. Thin walls, but the AC/Heat fan covers most noise. Lots of food options - good deal for area - king size bed. Don't know bout bfast, the one day I went down it was a bit crowded and we had snacks. Looked okay.

the beds are horibble..so was the bathroom and the water(brown colored)
