Clarion Inn & Suites - East Windsor

The room was fine. Bathroom could use some maintenance. No smoking policy in the hotel was not followed. People smoke in the halls and it filtered under the door. Very annoying. Free breakfast very good. Fresh coffee and nice assortment of food choices.The little bar and restaurant rarely opened.Very close to highway, airport and Enfield.

We were in a snow storm/power outage; the hotel was easy to get to, but they had more people than they were able to serve. The rooms were decent at best, and the bathroom was not cleaned. I had to to clean the toilet. The tub also did not drain properly, which made for an uncomfortable showers for 4 people. They could have used help making management […] decisions. For example, being in a power outage situation, they should have allowed people who were already staying there to extend day by day, instead of checking them out - only to find they couldn't check back in. During emergency situations, they should have changed their method of treating their guests. In addition, they should have planned for the storm, and worked with temp agencies and the like to ensure they were prepared for the number of guests. Mehr

We stayed here for 3 days during the blackout in CT. The room was okay, but I believe hotel is getting old. The bathroom door in our room did not latch. It took 2 requests to get in fixed. Also I discovered sugar ants in our room on our last night there. The only good thing about this hotel was it was pet friendly and had breakfast included.

After reading several negative reviews about this hotel, I was nervous about my upcoming stay. Overall, the experience was better than I expected. The hotel is immediately off exit 45 of I-91, with several restaurants, a grocery store, a gas station, and a pharmacy within a mile or two of the hotel. The bar/restaurant at the hotel is no longer in operation, […] so that "ammenity" should be removed from the description. However, they provide a number of menus to the closest restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room left a little to be desired, but was fine for a single night stay. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were moldy, and my non-smoking, pet friendly room smelled of stale smoke. I did not ask to be moved, since I was only staying one night, was traveling with a young puppy, and had been given a room very close to an outside exit that was very convenient for getting the puppy outside to potty. Had I been staying several nights, I would have asked to be moved, and suspect I would have been accommodated. Mehr

great location/free airport shuttle

We checked in at approx 10:00pm, entered the room, discovered that the sink was full of dirty, soapy water with whiskers in it. The phone wouldn't connect so I walked to the front desk on the opposite side of the hotel to complain. I was told that there were no other rooms and maintenance would be there. The problem was fixed and the sink cleaned. I […] never received an apology. I don't understand how housekeeping could leave a room in that condition. In the corner of the room over one of the beds was a large spot with paint peeling and coming off the ceiling. In the morning my wife took a hot shower although the tub drained extremely slowly. I then had to take a barely warm shower. Our daughter had no hot water at all. We travel extensively and have never been in a hotel that ran out of hot water! When I complained at check-out I was met with indifference and was simply told that I was prepaid so I was all set and could leave. Needless to say, I will not be looking at Clarion for future travel. Mehr

Nice hotel. Booked because of perceived convenience at end of business trip. Restaurant was closed for renovation, no warning before arrival. No other restaurants in surrounding neighborhood. Not very convenient.

The hotel had a great location for what I needed. The beds were comfortable and the AC cooled real well. The front desk was flexible as far as check out. OK, That was the good. Now the not so good: The expectation was already lowered going in but the pictures posted on-line was not exactly what I saw. The carpet was not clean, I saw a few insects in […] the room, the door needed a coat of paint, there was no privacy sign (Do Not Disturb), the toilet paper in the room was so bad (you better not be a hemophilliac), I had to go to CVS to buy a roll. The smoking section was right outside the entrances so you got a big dose of second hand smoke entering the hotel. In addition there were cigarette butts all over it and itthe area just seemed dirty. My toilet had skid marks in it. For all of that, I thought it was NOT a good value for the money. Mehr

The beds are very uncomfortable! Are room was a non smoking room but smelt of smoke. The bathroom above us flooded and came into our bathroom and flooded it and they would not even give us another room to stay in, so we had to stay in a room that the bathroom ceiling was soak and dripping and the walls where leaking. That was on our 2nd to last day […] there. The conntinetal breakfast was very good. Mehr

Bed was very comfortable, Desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Over all stay was great.

very nice hotel especially or being a pet friendly hotel.you would not know it was pet friendly unless you seen a pt cause u could not tell by the cleanliness of the rooms.i will stay at this again.

Entered the room and found raisins on the floor. The radio alarm clock would not turn off so I unplugged it, behind the bedside table that was not flush with the wall, were many cobwebs, dust and spiders. One of the queen size beds sunk deeply in the center. Kids did enjoy the pool and continental breakfast was average. Staff was helpful. Would have […] preferred to spend $25 more a night and have stayed at a cleaner hotel. Mehr

we had a very good stay the rooms were clean and very nice the only thing is that it only had one chair.Iwould have perfered two chairs this way you could eat at the table and not on the bed.everything else was wonderfull.

Apparently, there is no elevator on this two story hotel. Just a heads up as this could be omportant info for some guests.

We thought that all things considered, our hotel stay was a phenomenal value; rides from the airport and back to the airport the next morning for a rental car; a clean, comfortable, quiet room; friendly staff; and a great continental buffet breakfast, all added up to a very satisfactory stay.

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. We had to have the maintenance person come and clean the toilet and the sink. However, when we mentioned this to the staff they responded quickly and were very gracious. We also found the radiator grate covered with dust and room particles.

I wouldnt return there.

Recommend that the room heat be kept on so the room is not 45 degrees and take all night to warm up for the guest.

filthy hotel room bathroom had shower doors and the track had crud piled on it the tub had some sort of jets in it and when the water reached these jets black stuff began to come out ceiling had mold on it room stank of some form of disinfectant had I not had used hotel .com to prepay the room I would have left and crossed the expressway and stayed […] at the comfort inn which looked inviting. I could not wait to leave in the morning I will never stay in a Clarion again these are substandard hotel chains. there is no excuse for filth Mehr

The bathroom is small like a shoebox, and the light fixtures in the ceiling was hanging down. Inside the shower had a lot of mold. While eating breakfast in the dinning area it was freezing. It felt like you were outside. I had to return too my room and put on my coat before I was able to eat.

Hotel stay was great very clean and well kept hotel and location, will recommend, but Customer Service on arrival was very snobbish, and Complimentary Service helper nasty.

We stayed at the Clarion while attending a wedding in East Windsor. Checking in was very simple- chcking out was even easier. Room was comfortable- no big complains. The only issue was that room smelled a little stuffy when we got there- once we got the A/C pumping the smell was gone.

The first room we were in had a toilet that leaked all over the bathroom floor. The clerk at the front desk was very apologetic and moved us to a new room accross the hall. The bathrooms were very small.

Room was very nice. Staff was very professional. Free breakfast was a nice bonus.
