Older motel/hotel. Certainly not the worst place we've stayed, but far from the best. If it were to be updated, it would make a decision to stay again easier. As it is now, I would check other options before booking at this location again.

Great location. The restaurant was an added bonus. The food and service was excellent. It was nice to be able to arrive, check in, and not have to look for some place to have a late dinner.

The room was suppose to have a microwave and refridge it didn't have either one. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was cold biscuit ,eggs and sausage, and they were out of coffee. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was nice,clean and the workers very friendly. I found our room small and had a hard time finding a spot for our daughters playpen. The food wasnt bad.Its great for one night wouldnt stay there longer.

Kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was great.. better choice then most continental breakfasts. Very close to freeway and Birch Run Outlet Mall. Enjoyed a ride threw Frankenmuth on our way home.

Got to hotel room was not clean at 5pm and pool was closed and did not have heated water for 2 days...I talked to manager Jessica by phone she was not concerned with this and told me that I could go to another hotel if I was not happy....Unbelievable!

Was an overall decent hotel. All except for the fact that they gave my room away while we were still in it. I just happened to be right behind the guy when he used the room key (a key to MY room) in our room door. He very well may have been an honest person and not taken anything. Housekeeping could have been better. There were 4 beer cans behind the night stand.The door to our room was opened when we went to the room.The pool had too much chlorine, you could hardly breathe it was so stuffy.

I was extremely disappointed with the level of service at this hotel. They were unorganized when I checked and at first checked me into a room that was scheduled for a "Deep Clean". Their "High Speed Internet" was anything but. I couldn't hold an internet signal in my room to save my life. The front desk clerk was nice but only at the front desk half […] the time. When they coded my keys at check in they only did it for one night, I was staying 4. So every evening I had to go to the front desk to have them re-code my keys because the night-shift clerk didn't know how to do it for more than one day at a time. She said if I came back during the day, the day-shift clerk would know how to do it for more than one day. I'm sorry, but I work during the day and do not have time to get my keys re-coded by someone who knows how to do their job. The fitness room was so primative I thought I would break the treadmill by just standing on it. I did not try the dining options at the hotel. Mehr

The perfect place to unwind from everyday life. The rooms were very clean. Even housekeeping left us a thank you note. The pool and hot tub area are as clean as if they were new and never used. We were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel can be self-sufficient. With the food and services, you don't ever have to leave […] the hotel if you didn't want to. We loved the room, very clean and comfortable and the rest of the hotel looked great. Front desk was helpful. However, the arcade games stole like 3 dollars from us, and half of the games didn't work. They also closed the bar and kitchen this night (Feb 13, 2013) at 830 when the schedule said both were open until 11. We had a hard time finding somewhere […] to eat at 9pm in the area, since it was out of everyone's delivery range or they were closed. Had to end up with fast food for dinner, which was frustrating, and they lost out on money we would have spent ordering food at the hotel. We got our room very cheap on hotels.com last minute, though. Would go back for the same price, but not the hotel's normal price. Indoor hot tub and pool was a plus. Mehr

We were on a tight budget and had to book an "exterior" room in this hotel since it was cheaper. When I was reading the reviews, I came across the sentence, "This is a motel and not a hotel." several times and thought they were talking about the quality of the hotel.This hotel has two sections. An older part which used to be a motel (exterior) and a […] new-er part where the lobby, the swimming pool and restaurant are located. With two little children we had to walk in the snow to get to the lobby to go to the pool and go back to our room in the freezing weather. We talked to the manager and were told that they couldn't do anything since we had booked our room through Expedia. We called Expedia and they did nothing either. Would I go there again? We used this hotel booking through Expedia.ca for a shopping weekend for a family of four. Even though we booked and paid for four, they only has three towels in the room. They corrected this quickly once we asked for additional towels however as the next day when the room was made up, it went back down to three towels. The room was acceptable but […] the bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel in North America. I could not walk into the bathroom without turning sideways as my shoulders are too wide for the frame. There is very little room to dry off after using the shower. Ideal location close to Frankenmuth and a couple minutes to Birch Run outlets..Dated modest rooms a bit of a put off. We were put in the outlying room, no heat at all upon entering..Took a couple hours to heat adequately. Lighting awful! Tiny bathroom with freezing cold tile floor! Separate sink/counter outside bathroom. One cup coffee maker (better […] than none!). Beds comfortable. Immed. response from housekeeping/hotel staff. Free breakfast included burritos, make-it-yourself wafffle bar, cold cereals, toast (make it yourself) and a couple danish rolls..coffee/tea..oj. No fruit but pleasant lady made my travelling partner & I scrambled eggs due to dietary issues...this was much appreciated. The worst for me is the essence of old smokey smell lingering in the nonsmoking room.. Wish I would have had spray or candle to deter. All in all, it was an ok place for the amount of money paid and only one night stay made it a decent choice. Tons of restaurants and shops within a few minutes.. Mehr

Not enough towels in room-beds very uncomfortable-service slow. Continental breakfast was offered until 9:30 but was empty by 9:00 and not refilled. Many people were still waiting.

Nice place, clean, convenient to Birch Run. Breakfast was OK, but got what you would expect for a freebie breakfast. Only complaint - the bar was way overpriced. Last year the bar was busy, this year hardly anyone in it. Too expensive.

looked for a ice machine had to go on the second floor to find one.The beds was terrible, it was probably like laying in quick sand on the first one and the second one was like laying on a log. For the price of the room, I should have stated at a Cheep Motel! and probably would have got a better bed.

My stay was awful!! I am a travel nurse and take my son with me on assignments and my sister is my nanny. I booked a late check out online and confirmed with the hotel when I checked in that my check out would be late and they were aware and agreed. I would be checking out at 4:30 or 5pm after I was finished with work. Around noon on the day I was working, […] I get a call from my sister telling me to get to the hotel right away. She had 3 housekeepers knocking on the door telling her she needed to check out because they had to clean the room. I left work early (I lost $480 because I couldn't finish my shift) and called the hotel immediately and spoke to a manager and let them know how upset I was. I was told my sister could wait in the lobby with my 18 month old son and she could take all of our stuff there with her. I asked them how she was to do this when they have no elevator and we have a lot of stuff as does any parent with a toddler. I asked how she was supposed to carry everything and they said they didn't know but she needed to get out and wait in the lobby. I told them she wasn't going anywhere until I got there. So I got to the hotel and we packed up our stuff and will NEVER return there. Also, the room across from our room kept leaving their door open and being very loud and the room next to theirs had two couples in it with their door open as well and they were drinking and being extremely loud as well. Staff was extremely helpful. The hotel was clean and neat as were our rooms.. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of room to eat comfortably. Can't say enough about the staff. They were easy to work with, polite and professional Will definitely stay at this hotel when we return.
