Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Wichita Dwtn - Convention Center - Wichita

Great hotel! We stayed here for a concert at the Intrust arena and the staff was great. We were able to take the shuttle to and from the arena so we didn't have to worry about parking. Nice and clean rooms. Although the non-smoking rooms smelled a bit like smoke especiallly in the bathrooms but we were able to air them out. Overall, nice stay.

This hotel was located in a neighbor, where I did not feel safe leaving my unattended vehicle. It was not as close to the convention center as it advertised. The room was not near as nice or big as it advertised being. The room was very small. The air conditioning would not stay on and did not cool the room as well as we would have liked. This hotel is conveniently located and is reasonably priced. However, the rooms are tiny and they do not have queen beds. They only have king suites or rooms with two double beds. Furthermore, there is not adequate sound or light protection from outside the room. For example, the hall light seeped into the crack in the door frame and illuminated our […] room all night. Also, the crack in the doorway enabled us to hear every door open and close on our floor. The front desk staff was very nice and moved us to a different room on a different floor the second night we stayed at the hotel. However, we experienced the same issue as we had in the previous room. Plus the mini fridge was so loud that we had to unplug it. Mehr

the carpets in the rooms needed to b cleaned really bad, they were stained. The morning desk clerk was more worried about sitting in the diner than being at the front desk for check outs> also in my room the bed wasnt on the bed frame and i injured my leg on the bed frame.

It was a nice holiday inn. nothing super fancy, but very comfortable and great location with i somewhat modern look and feel. the lounge/bar was really nice and the bartender was EXCELLENT. rooms are small but they have everything you would need. will be staying here again next time i'm in wichita.

Dumpy hotel, tiny rooms. I wish i would have spent the extra $15 to stay somewhere much nicer. Very disappointed.

Our room was one of the best I've had. There was a bedroom and a living room with a closed door in between, so great for sharing with others who get up earlier/stay up later than you. Plus two bathrooms, so no waiting to use the shower! Can't say I've ever had two bathrooms in a room with just a king bed before. The staff was extremely friendly. At […] checkout, they even remembered who I was. Also it is located conveniently close to downtown and Highway 54. The one downside is the surrounding neighborhood. It did not feel 100% safe. In fact, as I was leaving one day, a shady character approached me, asking if I could drive him to some rundown motel a block away so he could get money, then drive him to a gas station so he could get gas because he ran out. My gut had a very bad feeling about the whole thing. I would recommend this location, but be observant when you're outside. Mehr

I really didn't care for this Hotel the room was very small. The bathroom was to small you couldn't sit on the tolet and close the door, then their was no vents in it so you smelled everything someone was doing in it! When you open the room door it was right on the bed. The only good thing about this place was the location! For the price we paid I expected […] more, will not be staying here again! I found this hotel to be very adequate as I was passing through the area. My only recommendation for improvement would be a specified pet walk as it's downtown and there weren't many grassy areas to choose from. Overall though, nice room, and quite comfortable.

We were very pleased with our stay at Wichita-Dwtm Holiday Inn & Suites, It was only 6 blocks from the Arena where we we to see consert. In addition the hotel provided shuttle service to and from the arena, whhich saved ;us the problem of parking. The entire staff that we had contact with were very courteous and friendly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall I was pleased with our experience.This is an old building that has had some minor remodeling. The light above the sink wouldn't work, but was sufficient otherwise.

Apparently Wichita is a hot-bed for business travelers. DO NOT BOOK LAST MINUTE. We were stuck in smoking rooms and had a very unpleasant night. Thankful for the roof over our heads, not so thankful for the odor that permeated us/our clothes/etc.

No free breakfast, which we were told we would have. The wait staff shut the doors early so only half our group even got to have breakfast. They were also rude. Room was ok, but there was an open breaker box in the tiny bathroom, which seemed kind of weird to me. Also, we asked for rooms next to each other. When I called to confirm this, they said […] we were right across the hall. What they meant was, someone else was directly in front of us and our friends were next to someone else, 50 feet away. I didn't feel like they cared enough about our requests. I would have expected a better experience from Holiday Inn. Mehr

Never could get any hot water, only warm. If I can't take a hot shower, than I won't be staying there again.

Holiday Inn Wichita was one of the nicest I have ever stayed at. After driving in from Colorado for business, we were pleased with every aspect of the facility. I would tell anyone to stay there (and I am really picky!).

Staff very helpful and they seemed to enjoy being there. Spacious rooms and quiet air conditioners. The bar and the grille were great places to meet as a group and relax to plan the day's activities. We will very likely stay there again.

Carpet was wet right outside the bathroom and it stayed wet. I could have asked for another room but I was too tired to move so I just folded a towel and put it on the floor. Room was very small. A little tight for two bigger folks. AC was noisey and didnt keep the room cool at all. Luckily for us it was cool outside. If Im ever in Wichita again, I […] wont be staying here. Mehr

Great hotel overall. Although I did get locked out of my room, and had a smoking room instead of non smoking I had booked. I received a different room and the staff was very helpful. It is close to where I had to go for a conference and there are several fast food places in close proximity. It is also close to Old Town which has many establishments […] for leisure activities. Our room was a little on the small side, but clean and comfortable. Everything else about this hotel was good, including proximity to the freeway and price. The refundable pet deposit was great, also - truely pet friendly.

Room keys did not work and had to be replaced. This required my family having to wait in the hall with all of our luggage. Once inside, the room (a KING) was the size of a knave. Do NOT let the pictures decieve you. Then even after several hours of patience, the Air Conditioner kept the room at a cool 85 degrees... I'll be staying somewhere else next […] time I return to Wichita Kansas, no doubt! Mehr

For the cost of the hotel I really expected more than what I got. The hotel first put us in a room that the plumbing was broken and then they moved us to another room that smelled like the plumbing was broken we were in town for a funeral and had driving over two hours to get there and wouldn't be there for even 8 hours it was horrible. Then the next […] day the hotel didn't serve a buffet you had to order from the menu and just for coffee and orange juice we spent $11.00 and went to McDonalds so breakfast cost over 20.00 it was outrageous. nice hotel, well kept, nice linens, staff was very pleasant and helpful. a little pricy for Holiday Inn in Wichita KS but would stay again.

Hotel is easy to get to, convenient to downtown and major roads. Rooms neat and clean. Water in pool was cloudy and a little chilly, hot tub was lukewarm, not really very relaxing. However, price was better than others that charge more. I'd stay there again. Two of us with the same name were checked in at the same time, I got his bill, I assume he got […] mine, but since we had made arrangements through hotel.com wasn't a payment problem, but a little more care should have been taken when we checked in and checked out by front desk staff. Everything was great, but I travel on business and NEED a great internet connection. I was assured I would have one at this location, but was never able to stay connected for more than minutes at a time, and even that unreliably. The Tech support did nothing to fix the problem even with repeated calls all weekend.
