Hotel Marlowe, a Kimpton Hotel - Cambridge

We love the special attention at the Marlowe--for us and our golden retriever. Bambara is a perfect dinner option, and the attached mall a nice convenience. Long walks along the river or visits to the Museum of Science make this a terrific location for a Cambridge or Boston visit. We love the Marlowe!

This is a great hotel. The only negative is the self parking. You end up parking in a huge mall parking lot. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and almost didn't find a spot. Then finding my car when I left was a challenge. Next time I'll use valet.

An excellent choice if this is the area of Boston you wish to stay at. Kimpton Hotels are well known for their high standards and eclectic decor. No extra charge for pets either! This is the.best value in town, hands down.

The room, decor, cleanliness was great. However, the pillows were too fluffy. I felt like there was no support at all. Overall great stay.

Great hotel! Very nice, friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Just 5 minutes to Boston.

Great hotel. The only issue I had is that the hotel needs to get new mattresses and pillows as the mattress is now lumpy and feathers fly everywhere. But the rooms and lounge are romantic places. You get an amazing view of the Charles River on the 8th Floor. Highly recommended hotel!

Hotel Marlowe was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The hotel seems to be newly renovated with a fun, fresh decor. The rooms have plush and comfortable bedding with bathrobes, a nice amenity. The hotel staff were very pleasant, and upgraded us to a room overlooking the Charles River. I really enjoyed staying here. The restaurant was nice. There was even a free wine and snacks hour. It's right next to the Boston museam of science just to give you an idea of location. 5$ cab ride to TD garden. Would definitely go again

A great choice if you are going to Boston -- this hotel is located on the Cambridge side of the river, a 10 minute cab ride to downtown and it has all of the amenities and comfort the Kimpton Hotels are known for and its probably less expensive than staying in Boston. The restaurant is also really good.

I loved it! Tha room was beautiful and the bed was plush I didn't want to leave the room!! I will definitely stay there when I go back!!

This will be our new go to place whenever we visit Boston. Great staff, location and hotel. Be sure to ask for a room facing the river and enjoy free internet, coffee bar and breakfast.

We look forward to staying at the Hotel Marlowe when our plans permit it. Service is immediate upon arriving there, the decor is whimsical yet upscale, the rooms are luxurious and clean without being overly pricey and their are many perks associated with Kimpton's reward program (free wi-fi, credits toward the mini-bar, obeying preferences from your […] profile on various items such as morning newspaper, type of pillow, etc). One of our favorite aspects of the hotel is the lounge, which has free coffee and tea in the morning and a free wine hour in the early evening. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I was able to easily valet park in front of the hotel and they watched over it the entire evening. The staff was very friendly and helped me get a reservation in the North End one hour in advance with no problem. The room was amazing with a great view of Boston. I will definitely stay here again. This hotel is a good value and near T (train). Big problem is gouging on the part of admin by charging for making local calss from room. $1 per call. This is Robery, plain and simple. I hate Gouging!!

Great hotel. Awesome staff. Even welcomed pets (should have brought ours). This is a great hotel that I will definitely visit again.

A most pleasant stay at the Marlowe. This is my second time staying at the Marlowe and it did not disappoint. The beds are a heavenly experience, just the thing for a weary traveler.

Very accommodating nice weekend away- convenient to Boston and Cambridge.

This hotel was did not dissapoint. The bed was so comfortable we didnt even go out that night. We just stayed in and watched tv. Rates were very reasonable and would go back again

I came across the Marlowe on the internet and wasn't sure what to think, but I was especially pleased and will return to the Marlowe on future return trips to Boston or Cambridge.

My ONLY complaint is the quality of the beds! This place is so beautiful and the service was great--but the mattresses were terrible--lumpy-- and mine actually was curved where people sleep. I've stayed in much cheaper hotels with much nicer beds. I wouldn't Put my name (recommend) this hotel--UNLESS I also mentioned the bed situation.

Should be Hotel Marvelous! Hotel Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room yummy!! Not too far from downtown by cab.

Great place to stay, nice walks along the Charles. The service was excellent, breakfast in bed was expensive but worth every penny. Would and will stay again.

Loved the view and the hotel was close enough to the train stations so we didn't have to worry about transportation. No complaints to be had.

no really. you will not be disappointed. beautiful place. friendly staff. goldfish in your room. borrow a bike. or even a kayak. within walking distance to public transportation and an amazing view of the canal. Our family (three kids) were totally pleased and comfortable our whole stay.

I have already begun my recommendation to everyone whom I meet with regard to staying at The Hotel Marlowe. There was nothing at all that I did not enjoy from the staff, the location, the facilities, everything was a pleasure to experience. Nowhere else have I gone and experienced what I experienced at The Hotel Marlowe as far as the decor, the professional, […] friendly, well-mannered staff. I dont even have one complaint, not one. The location and access to all of the surroundings, inclusive of it being adjacent to the Mall was absolutely fabulous. To not even have to go out of the building to get to the Mall, well that speaks for itself. I never felt unsafe, even the scent wasnt your average hotel scent it was indescribably well scented. The atmosphere, oh my goodness I could go on and on and on. The distance from the airport, very conveniently close. I am indebted to my friend for telling me about this wonderful, wonderful place and I so look forward to returning there as soon as I get the opportunity, it was worth EVERY penny!!! The concierge and receptionist were great. The housekeeping was lagging. Didn't clean till 3pm although we were out since 10am. Walls seem slightly thin however the people in the adjacent room were excessively loud. The great thing was that the hotel responded very quickly when I called to complain and someone was sent to the room to inform them.

I thought the hotel was nice but not over the top. I'm not a dog person so that was annoying to see/hear dogs in the hotel. Bambara dining was okay but they used a ton of butter and there was really nothing over the top. The bathroom was very small and dated. The robs that were provided have seen better days.

Overall this is a beautiful hotel and we were very happy but a couple of nit-picky annoyances rubbed us the wrong way. There is no complimentary coffee in the room -- and as coffee drinkers that is a more serious problem than it might be to others. It would be helpful to have body wash in addition to bar soap in the shower -- many people don't use bar […] soap and I think it would make the tubs easier to clean for the staff. And worst -- the internet access process is too invasive and cumbersome -- we never even used it and that was a problem. Mehr

I travel all the time in Europe and the US and without any doubt the Marlowe is my favorite business hotel. The quality of the service, the bar, the rooms and the staff are all exactly what you want when you are travelling. I judge all other business hotels against this one.

My experience at the Marlow was a very pleasant one. It was a single night stay for leisure purposes. As soon as you pull into the courtyard you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. The […] decor was rich in color, texture, and classic. The room was large and the view amazing. I had a room overlooking the canal and park. You had no idea you were in the heart of Cambridge till you walked outside the hotel. The bed linen's were immaculate, they were clean comfy and despite all the feathery fluff, they were made with pristine care. The furry throw was snuggly soft and warm with a decorative satin underside. The mini bar was fully stocked with a little something for every desire. (Okay a mini bar with Astronaut Ice Cream! Need I say more? I think not.) The bathroom was roomy and stylish. The only place I can complain about untidy housekeeping is in the bathroom where the purple sconces had some dust build-up. The mirror for make up and shaving was perfect. The hairdryer fast and didn't smell like a burning electronic. The room had 4 phones including one in the bathroom. I did however need hairspray after forgetting mine and after about a 20 minute wait the front real called to say they were out and had sent someone to get some. I waited another half hour before having my husband call down to the desk and explain we didn't need it anymore we were just going to go out. The hallway was a bit loud. There was a event on the second floor and a lot if guests had children that were louder. However in the halls you could hear no noise from inside any of the rooms. The fitness room had a lot of fitness tools to utilize for a variety of workouts and was well maintained and clean. The dormant made sure a Taxi was available within minutes of a request. the stay was very enjoyable, as the staff and environ- ment was outstanding. The amenities and location made for a wonderful evening, although wish could have stayed longer. The location made for access to restaurants and activities. Hoping to return soon, to visit our son and enjoy the city.

We had a great time at your hotel during Labor Day weekend. We had our little dog Buddy staying with us and we love that your hotel is pet friendly. Wonderful stay, front desk and other staff was helpful in spite of crowd over the 'Irene' weekend. One comment though - the environment of the nearby Charles river offer good exercise opportunities, the gym in the hotel should better and more updated exercise machines. The Kimpton hotel stay experience is recommended.
