This hotel was beautifully remodeled. Everything about it was aesthetically pleasing. However, 24hour room service did not include breakfast. This was inconvenient for my business trip, which involved leaving the hotel at 6am (1/2 hour before breakfast began). I was double billed for a lunch because I paid for it with my credit card before I had a room […] assigned. Somehow it was reflected in my room bill after I was assigned a room. Check in was after 3pm which meant I had to wait from 11am until nearly 1pm in order for them to get the room ready. But with the service issues aside this is a beautiful hotel and the room was quite comfortable (even if the Wi-Fi was not included in the price and was limited to 1 device at a time, even if you were paying for it). I feel this hotel should have 4 star. They have done a few improvement that made it better than before.

Good Business destination , nice pool , not a great vacation spot . but all in all a nice hotel

One of the best hôtels in the Capital of Santo Domingo. The only negative aspect is that we had to wait one hour on our room. For the rest 5 stars!!!

I hop if was free wirless and also room maintnance

I liked 99% of the hotel. The buffet was great and the price reasonable. The Japanese restaurant has a 5 star chef with a great service. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Pleasantly clean except for a little bit of mildew in the shower and that is why I do not give it a top rating. So much effort goes into keeping everything clean and neat […] that I find it hard to believe that mildew in the shower grout goes unnoticed, not a lot of mildew, but still no need for it, a simple stroke with a rigid brush will do the job in one minute. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again after this little problem is fixed. Mehr

I love my stay in this hotel I recommend this hotel 100% is just amazing .

In general, everything went well during my stay, from check in to check out. The rooms are clean and food just amazing. If I haven't had to wait one hour to get towels it would have been perfect.

Nice Hotele for the price we got, from Hotel.com, so remember to book trough hotels.com. The only problem for us was the noise from the trafic outside in the morning, very noise, but everything els was nice, the front desk could be better, but that is how it is, and the Gym was in very bad contition

My gf and I stayed for 3 nights and we loved it. good service and nice rooms. Location of the Hotel is perhaps a little bad cos everything has to be reached by Taxi which is very expensive in Dominican. but in General we just the stay

I have stayed at this hotel three times and twice on the ninth floor and I liked it. I think the ninth floor is worth the extra money as the service and the food and the extras are great. Best hotel I ever stayed at in the Dominican Republic.

I had a great time in the city..if a ny city atmosphere doesnt bother you than you will be fine...outside the hotel there are lots of people ..the food in the hotel was decent....but if you want right up the street from the hotel there is a wendys pizza hut dominoes taco bell and mcdonalds, so food is not a problem. Very nice staff rooms very clean and restaurant was very good only thing i didnt like was the internet its slow and it cost $10 us dolllars

Very nice hotel only thing is parking is real tight got a scratch on my rental but other than that real nice

Great hotel, in a good location. Rooms are very clean, and seem to have been recently renovated. The casino doesnt have much action, if thats what your looking for, but if you want a clean room thats very comfortable and spacious, this is the hotel to stay in.

Everything excellent it should be rate 4 star

stayed there twice the first time, the ceiling was dripping on my head while I was using the toilet. my second stay I had cockroaches in the room with me (2)

SUPER CLEAN, HIGH STANDARS, EXCELLENT FOOD & SERVICE. DEFINETIVELY I'LL BE BACK. VERY HARD TO GO IN AND OUT (HIGH TRAFFIC) BUT NOTHING DIFFERENT YOU SEE EVERY DAY IN YOUR HOME CITY.

The hotel is a recently renovated old landmark previously called Hotel Lina. Barcelo did an excellent job of upgrading this property. I stayed in the premium floor which includes free WiFi, free breakfast and snacks in the afternoons. I was very happy over-all!

everything was great except for an occasional problem with the hot water turning cold. Other than that, no problem to report from me.

Having been to Santo Domingo ten years prior, I was nervous to get a good hotel for me and my wife. I was a little nervous about the location, but I was very surprised! PROS 1. I STRONGLY recommend that everyone get the Premium Club upgrade. It was great to have easy access to food, beverages, and an awesome private deck. 2. Rooms are great, spacious, […] and have an awesome bathroom. 3. Internet is available for the Premium Club. CONS 1. The food wasn't any better at our second resort location, but the room service and restaurant are mediocre. 2. Selection of restaurants nearby and inside is slim. There was a problem with the A/C.There is no way you to set the thermostat To your convinience.minimun teperature setting is 71degrees.

Ask for a room at the 9th Floor. We got one for the same price with breakfast and a 5pm to 9pm snack buffet. There is a jaccuzzi on the terrace and this floor gets it s own front desk. They treat you like ROYALTIES.

VERY GOOD JUST THAT THE BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED AND THEY CHARGED ME INSTEAD OF CHECKED IN MY VISA . BREAKFAST IS EXPENSIVE.

Service was horrible. The staff was extremly rude. Room water went from cold to extremly hot. Location was not close enogh to walk to any of Santo Domingo's grat sites.
