Nur ca. 80 m von der Metrostation Deak Ference entfernt. Großteil der Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Ansonsten optimale Anbindung an Metro, Straßenbahn und Bus. Das Hotel selber kann ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis passen.

Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Das Hotel hat eine Top-Lage in der Innenstadt. Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert. Der Restaurant- Bereich ist besonders schön im alten Stil hergerichtet. Am Frühstücksbuffett ist für jeden etwas zu finden und bis zum Schluss wird alles aufgefüllt. Die Zimmer sind gut. Allerdings war der W-Lan Empfang im Anbau schlecht. Ein Netzwerkkabel gehörte auch zur Ausstattung. Der Wellness- Bereich ist sauber und gut. Alles in allem ein Super- Hotel, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

Lage
Das herrschaftliche Hotel befindet sich auf der geschäftigen Erzsébet-Straße im Stadtteil Pest von Budapest. Der Liszt Ferenc Platz liegt 0,3km von dem Hotel entfernt; das Schloss von Buda ist 2,2km entfernt. Die zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehörende Andrássy-Straße und die U-Bahnstation Oktogon sind gerade einmal 300 m entfernt.
Charakteristika des Hotels
Das Corinthia Hotel Budapest, das im Jahr 2003 vollständig renoviert wurde, besticht durch eine neoklassizistische Fassade und 2 emporragende Glasatrien. Gäste können sich in der Spa aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit einem 15 Meter langen Hallenbad, Whirlpools, Vichy Dusche, Massageräumen, Dampfräumen, Saunen, Meeresalgenbädern und mehr entspannen. Das Corinthia Hotel Budapest beeindruckt durch eine neoklassizistische Fassade und zwei emporragende Glasatrien. Gäste können sich im traditionsreichen Wellnessbereich aus dem 19. Brasserie Royale und Atrium - Die Restaurants Brasserie und Atrium befinden sich neben der Hauptlobby und ermöglichen es, drinnen und draußen zu sitzen. Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen werden in der Brasserie serviert, wobei Gäste sowohl im Speiseraum selbst als auch im Glasatrium Platz nehmen können. Der Speiseraum ist in warmen Braun- und Rotbrauntönen gehalten und mit dunklen Holztischen und gepolsterten Lederstühlen eingerichtet. Korbstühle, Blumenarrangements auf den Tischen und mit Lichterketten geschmückte große Pflanzen sind hingegen charakteristisch für den Atrium. Die Küche ist französisch, es finden sich aber auch einige ungarische Spezialitäten auf der Karte. Sonntags wird in der Brasserie ein Familienbrunch mit verschiedenen Buffets, Live-Unterhaltung und einem betreuten Kinderclub mit Spielen und Videos angeboten.
Rickshaw Restaurant - Das Rickshaw Restaurant bietet zum Abendessen orientalische Gerichte in einem Ambiente, das an den Fernen Osten erinnert. Das südostasische Restaurant serviert traditionelle Gerichte des japanischen Chefkochs.
Le Bar - Le Bar ist eine elegante Lounge, die leichte Snacks anbietet. Sie ist der ideale Treffpunkt für einen Aperitif oder einen Absacker nach dem Essen. Ein Pianist sorgt für Unterhaltung.
Die Royal Spa gehört zu den erstklassigsten Einrichtungen in Europa und bietet einen 15-Meter-Innenpool, eine tropische Regendusche, Niagara-Badewannen und ein Fitnesscenter. Auch Massagen und Schlamm- und Algenbäder sind erhältlich.
Hinweis:Kinder unter 16 Jahren dürfen das Spa nur in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen, der schwimmen kann, besuchen und können es jeden Tag zwischen 11.00 und 15.00 Uhr nutzen.
Budapest ist für seine Thermalbäder bekannt. Das berühmteste ist das Heil- und Schwimmbad Gellért, das über Dampfbäder, Thermal- und Kaltwasserbecken und ein kunstvoll gestaltetes Jugendstil-Schwimmbecken verfügt. Besucher können sich hier mit Massagen und Schönheitsbehandlungen verwöhnen lassen. Es gibt abwechselnd Männer- und Frauentage. Das Gellért-Bad befindet sich vom Hotel aus auf der anderen Donauseite, 1,5 Kilometer entfernt. Die Margareteninsel ist eine schattige Oase in der Mitte der Donau. Sie liegt zwei Kilometer vom Hotel entfernt und verfügt über eine Laufstrecke, die sich rund um die Insel erstreckt.

"Angenehmer Aufenthalt"
Wir hatten einen angenehmen komfortablen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war Aufmerksam, die Zimmer sehr sauber. Das Hotel liegt sherverkehrsgünstig an einer Hauptstraße, die Strassenbahn hält direkt vor dem Hotel. Dennoch war in den Zimmern - insofern die Fenster geschlossen blieben - nur wenig von dem Verkehrslärm zu hören (Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße im […] 3. Stock). Wir haben durch die günstige zentrumsnahe Lage viel von Budapest erleben können. Wir haben ein 72 Stunden Ticket für Bus-U-Bahn- Strassenbahn gelöst und haben uns die Stadt angesehen. Das gute daran war, das wir immer wieder schnell im Hotel waren, um z.B ein paar Einkäufe abzulegen, oder nach einer kurzen Rast wieder aufzubrechen. Auch zu Fuß ist das Zentrum oder die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gut zu erreichen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und es fehlte an nichts. Auch ein Essen im Hotelrestaurant möchte ich positiv erwähnen. Die Preise sind durchaus angemessen. Besonders erwähnen möchte ich das zum Hotel gehörige "Bock Bistro" . Auch dort haben wir fürstlich gespeist. Qualität war hervorragend, das Personal freundlich, stand mit Empfehlungen zur Seite und half auch bei der Auswahl eines passenden Weines. Preise auch hier durchaus nicht überteuert. Der Spa-Bereich des Hotels war sehr sauber und ermöglichte ausreichend Entspannung. Erreichbar ist der Spa-Breich durch einen separaten Aufzug, sodass man nicht im Bademantel durch die Lobby musste. Für die Größe des Hotels erschien mir der Spa-Bereich fast etwas klein, Wir hatten einen angenehmen Nachmittag ohne das es wirklich voll war, am frühen Abend füllte sich der Spa Bereich was uns aber nicht störte da wir sowieso im Aufbruch waren. Ich kann dieses Hotel guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Mehr

Hotel is lovely inside, but if you get a room which faces inwards towards the atrium, you may be kept up every night (as we were) with noise from the bars downstairs. On Saturday night there was a prom or dance that had horrible blasting pop music.

Excellent in all aspects. I have previous experience of staying at the Corintha Palace in Malta which is also part of the group and equally of a high standard. This did not disappoint and I cannot think of any aspect of food, service, spa facilities, accommodation that was less than perfect.

"A gem of a hotel"
From the divine lobby to the luxury bath, this hotel is a lovely stay. Hotel staff were impeccably kind and very helpful at making dinner reservations and recommendations, etc. It is under 5 minutes to Oktagon, a metro stop, and the tram runs up and down the street outside, making it a cinch to get most tourist places in Budapest. We also got a steal […] of a deal, making this 5* stay incredibly affordable. Note that if you want to eat at their Rock Bistro, which is Michelin rated for 2011, you need to do so well in advance. There are two other restaurants though, and the one we ate at was good quality food at reasonable rates--again, with excellent service and wonderful (and frank!) food recommendations. You are seated in an atmospheric 'atrium' style, with twinkle lights in the trees. Lovely! All and all, I won't even bother looking anywhere else if we go to Budapest again. Mehr

The hotel was gorgeous and the staff was quite helpful and fluent in English. The spa was also beautiful. The only thing that could be improved upon is updating the room decor, replacing the mattress (which was a bit lumpy), and improving the bed linens. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience.

The hotel is in the midel of budapest next train Very comfortable, nice. I will go back!!!
Hotel was slightly out from the main sights, ie the Danube and the Castle, but a good walk. The food was a little bland but a lovely hotel, a delight to be in and staff were excellent, except for the Conceirge who was a little grumpy.

"Met my expectations"
Had a weekend at the Corinthia and must say it completely met my expectations. Had only some 3 nights there and did not use facilities like the Rickshaw Restaurant or any Spa treatments. Service was good from the first step in to the magnificent lobby all the way to a hustle free checkout. The portier elegantly organized a privat car/taxi to the airport. […] This was taken care of on my hotel bill, so arguing with taxi drivers in the early morning was swift avoided. The Spa was clean av cosy. Saunas, both dry and steam, Jaquzzi's and a pool. Entrance to the spa was included in the room price and towels were handed out during registration. The Corinthia is a 5 star rated hotel at, in my eyes, a real bargain! Mehr

we upgraded to a great room on the front of the hotel, and it was like sleeping in train station. Trams every 2 minutes, garbage picked up at 5:30 AM. Had to change rooms the next night and they made us pay the upgraded amount even though we moved from king bed to 2 twins (my original deal with no upgrade)...but at least it was quieter. That aspect […] was very disappointing for such a great hotel. Pool best I have ever seen, though it was a madhouse SAturday afternoon at prime time, as was breakfast. they should have increased staff to handle both. Mehr

"Corinthia Hotel- Budapest"
Stayed 6 nights. The room was great- very comfortable bed, nice size, lots of storage for longer stay, bathroom huge and had high end fixtures- large tub, separate glassed shower. Service was prompt and cheerful. Pool nice to have at the end of the day- as charming as the picture but not a large pool. Price of "Executive" package varies but it includes […] an excellent breakfast with cerials, scrambled eggs, bacon, smoked salmon and several other types of smoked fish, juices, and even a cappicino or esresso. Also, snacks- small cakes, chips, beer, whiskey, etc in afternoon until about 10 PM. Not necessary, of course, but definitely at the high end of this sort of extra. Concierge service also excellent. Odd that there was no turn down servce, but, except for no chocolate on pillow in evening, this was a most impressive hotel. We used tram and buses extensively. Tram stopped in front of hotel and arrived at river in less than 5 minutes or we walked in perhaps 10- 15 min. Mehr

"Loved this hotel"
We got an apartment in this hotel because my husband and I were traveling with our teenage daughter; I thought we would have more room. The apartment was wonderful. It was lovely, large, comfortable. It had a washing machine, two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen. It was way more than we expected. The service in the hotel was also wonderful; all the […] staff were very attentive. Check in was fast and efficient; the bell staff, the front desk, the staff at the restaurant, all were wonderful, charming and very attentive. The hotel was beautiful, and the spa was great!! We were in Budapest during a heat spell, and it was just terrific coming back after a full day sight seeing, to shower, swim, use the sauna and just relax at the spa. In general, our stay was great!! from the time you arrive at the hotel the treatment is V.I.P. all members of staff are courteous and aim to please. we did a tour of the hotel with the wonderful manager & would recommend that. its in a very central location , could not find one fault with our stay.

"Beautiful hotel and great service"
As you enter the marble laden lobby you know you are in a true luxury hotel. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are big and the executive lounge is truly amazing. We love the hotel and highly recommend if for your stay in Budapest. The hotel has its cadre of Mercedes Benz taxis that will retrieve you when you have walked all over the city.
Very classy, elegant lobby and public rooms. Spacious and very comfortable rooms and pleasant, helpful staff. Would recommend to others and definitely stay there again.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk in the froon doors, it is AWSOME. From marble floors to a grand staircase the view is wonderous. Desk personel are very curtious and all are multi-lingual.Checkin took minutes and they had everything ready for us...sign and go to your room. The room was absolutly beautiful. large and well […] appointed. Bed was king and very comfortable. The furnishings were almost royal..The bath was large and had evrything you would expect from a 5 star hotel.Breakfast was huge and you can sit in the atrium to eat. Easy walk to many restaurants. Would have been nice to have breakfast included but overall a lovely place to stay. They went out of their way to organize for me to get a ticket for Prince in concert so they are tops in my book.

The location and service were very good. the biggest complaint is that there were no king or queen size beds and I had to settle for two twins that were the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. For a hotel of this caliber not to have better bedding is surprising. A truly wonderful hotel in pest ...5star all the way ...friendly and helpful and with clubrooms champagne and snacks throughout the day...big rooms and quality fixtures throughout....fair distance from tourist areas but ok if you are a good walker like me

"a lovely hotel-upgrade to executive - well worth"
This is a lovely hotel, close to good restauraunts and bars- a little away form the river and that area , but only a lovely 10 minute stroll down tree lined , designer shopping road so no problem really! we upgraded to executive rooms whci was well worth doing as it was lovely to retrun to the hotel and pop up for a chilled wine and snack and the area […] was so comfortable.Would definitely stay here again. The spa and pool area are absolutely gorgeous and the staff are attantive wihtout going over the top. Mehr

We had two rooms - me, the grandmother and two grandchildren, a son and daughter-in-law. We loved the hotel. We wanted to eat breakfast there, but they only had a buffet and that would have required that I take a mortgage on my home. "Corinthia Hotel Budapest - a Hungarian paradise"
This is an amazing hotel. We stayed there for 7 nights and enjoyed every one of them. The concierge, especially the Chief concierge- were amazing in organising many of our outings and sightseeing in Budapest. The Spa is luxurious, with a wonderful pool. I really recommend some of the treatments such as back massages etc. The bar is wonderful with great […] cocktails, and is great for late night meals after a long flight. Room service was superb. When we wanted milk for our tea, they brought us up fresh milk very quickly to the room each time - and free of charge! The rooms were very comfortable and it was very quiet at night and in the morning - probably the best sleep I have had in any hotel. All the staff were very friendly and spoke superb English. The breakfast in bed delivered to the room was magnificently presented and fit for a king. The Corinthia hotel Budapest is surely the diamond in Hungary's crown! Mehr

"Bedtime in Budapest"
Corinthia features sophisticated service in an "old" palace. While the immediate neighborhood is modern-urban, you can walk, cab, underground or metro easily to the more historic features of Budapest. Don't miss the "Szechenyi" thermal baths for your urban beach/pool/spa fix. We actually got "upgraded" to the adjacent Royal Apartment Residences next […] door which were great as we could spread out, do laundry, have separate bathrooms, etc !! Mehr

Historic hotel which has had a 21st century upgrade. Close to Andrassy Ave and Octagon underground station. Room was very nice and we booked with access to their executive club which was ideal for pre-dinner drinks or a light meal before going out in the evening. We stayed in an executive room with access to the executive lounge...the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and the architecture amazing. Breakfast was part of the package, with a good choice. The hotel spa was lovely, the pool and steam room not over crowded. We would definately recommend a stay here.

My wife and 7 year old daughter stayed in the hotel over the Easter weekend. It was our first visit to Budapest. The price through Hotels.com was very reasonable, although we excluded breakfast - there were plenty of options nearby - grocers, cafes, bakers, patisseries. The hotel is not in the centre of the City, but nevertheless well located as Budapest […] doesn't really have a centre. The sights are spread and the Corinthia is well located to reach all of them. The hotel was very clean, staff helpful and friendly. We spent a lot of time in the spa, which was also excellent, although hours for little ones is restricted. We didn't eat in the restaurants, there are lots of excellent options nearby. We did have a drink in the bar, which was excellent although expensive. Our room was large, even with the additional bed for our daughter there was plenty of space. The room was well appointed, comfortable, clean with every provision you could wish for (iron, ironing board, safe, dressing gowns and slippers, mini bar, kettle, TV, etc (although no English teabags!). One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff were great - very friendly and the room was good and the bed one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We were surprised to 'win' the guest of the day which meant free food and drink (Fantastic!!) but regardless of that I would still highly recommend this hotel.
"Budapest - Corithia hotel"
I would recommend to have an option for a room with window outside and window to the atrium! As this is quit problematic in the hotel.
"Bad quality in the Executive Lounge"
No complains about service, the personnel was fine and kind. The problem was with the quality and quantity of the snacks and food, It is not nice to see people fighting for leftovers . I do recommend the hotel but I would not recommend the Executive option. Do not take breakfast at this excutive lounge, go downstairs: Even if is more crowded the choice […] is better and larger. The hotel is very well located - a few stops from the train station and close to metro stop (3-4 min. walk from station). Very convenient - with the tram stop right outside that can take you to major attraction area. Hotel staff service is adequate, they answer to all your needs, but they don't seem very enthusiastic about your needs.
