Wieder ein paar schöne Tage in Murano. Leider hatten wir diesmal ein Zimmer mit sehr sehr kleinem Bad, obwohl wir "Superior" gebucht haben.

Wir waren nun schon zweimal in diesem Hotel. Die Empfangsdamen kümmern sich rührend um die Gäste. Der Zimmerservice funktioniert tadellos. Das Frühstück ist "italienisch" karg, wobei der Kaffee aus dem Automaten hervorragend schmeckt. Angenehme, ruhige Lage in Murano. Uns wurde zunächst ein Zimmer (No.16) zugewiesen, welches kaum größer als das Doppelbett gewesen wäre: "Standard Room". Hartnäckiges Intervenieren hat aber gefruchtet, das Alternativzimmer (No.21) war schließlich geräumig und einwandfrei. Das Haus ist sauber und wirkt gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist allerdings sehr bescheiden […] - nichts für verwöhnte Hotelgäste. Kaffee aus dem Automaten ist o.k. Die Verbindungen nach Venedig sind tagsüber excellent und selbst spät abends problemlos. Internetbuchungen von Mehrtagestickets für Vaporettos und Museumpass sind vorteilhaft. Das Hotel ist sehr schoen und liegt in einem ruhigen Viertel in Murano. Diese Insel ist sehr schon und sehr gut mit Venedig verbunden. Es gibt regelmaessiges Verkehr zwischen Murano und Venedig bis spaet Abend. Das einzige Problem war das laufende Wasser in der WC und obwohl ich mich beschwert habe, wurde es nicht repariert. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Conterie hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ein kleines, aber feines Hotel, sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, venezianisch eingerichtet, geräumig, ebenso das Badezimmer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Pluspunkt sind auch die zwei großen Terrassen, mit Tischen, Stühlen, Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirmen, […] sehr schön auch die vielfälltige Bepflanzung. Leider ist das Frühstück eine Katastrophe. Eine Woche Urlaub im Hotel und jeden morgen das gleiche Frühstücksbüfett, sehr einfach, ohne Geschmack, nur abgepackte Lebensmittel, kein frisches Obst oder Gemüse, keine Eier, Wurst, Aufschnitt oder Käse. Säfte aus dem Automaten. Das Frühstück entspricht wohl kaum europäischen Standard, auch wenn in Italien auf Frühstück nicht so viel Wert gelegt wird, aber schließlich sind 80 % der Hotelgäste keine Italiener. Mehr

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ruhigen Seitengasse.Zum Glasmuseum und zur Vaporetto-Bootshaltestelle sind es nur wenige Minuten. Im Januar ist es natürlich sehr kalt,aber das Hotelzimmer hatte eine gute Wärme-Klima-anlage. Einzig das Frühstück war nicht so toll. Ein Kaffee-Automat ,kein frisches Brot ,nur abgepackter Zwieback und abgepackte Croissants, […] etwas Joghurt ,Cornflakes und Müsli --und aus einer Saft-Maschine künstlicher Fruchtsaft.Kein Obst. Das ist kein Frühstücksbüffet,wie angekündigt. Murano ist eine ruhige,kleine Insel mit hervorragender Glaskunst,die überall angeschaut werden kann.Nach Venedig sind es mit dem Boot nur 25 Minuten. Die Zimmer sind einigermassen ordenlich, aber an vielen Stellen renovierungsbedürftig. Wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und nur zum Schlafen kommt, ist das Hotel in Ordnung

Dieses kleine süsse Hotel viel uns durch seine Sauberkeit auf, die Zimmer waren stets in einem guten Zustand, auch auf Wünsche wurde eingegangen und alles möglich gemacht, die Dusche war jederzeit mit heissem Wasser benutzbar und konfortabel. das Frühstück war italienisch aber ausreichen auf einer sehr schönen Terasse einzunehmen. Die Lage war perfekt, […] 5 Minuten zur nächsten Station, um mit dem Vaporetto überall hinzukommen, Murano ist ein sehr sehr ruhige Insel, wenn man Ruhe schätzt ist das ein Geheimtpp. Tagsüber ist es lebhaft in Muran, abends natürlich gibt es nur wenige Resaurants zur Auswahl, aber auch ein kleines Bistro um die Ecke, sehr einheimisch was natürlich toll war. Ein nettes presiwertes Hotel, von dem man aber auch nicht zuviel erwarten sollte, das Personal ist sehr nett.

Wir waren 5 Tage in dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war im venezianischen Stil eingerichtet und lag in einem Nebengebäude wenige Meter vom Haupthaus entfernt. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Haltelstelle Murano museo. (ca. 300 m). Hier fahren die Vaporettos regelmäßig ab. Vom Flughafen aus gelangt man mit der Alilaguna direkt […] an diese Haltestelle. Man kann von der Haltzestelle rechts oder links zum Hotel gelangen, wobei links herum einfacher ist. Links am Kai entlang bis zur nächsten Seitengasse (hier kommt man auch an einem Supermarkt vorbei!). Rechts die Seitengasse bis zu einem kleinen Platz. Dann wieder rechts immer geradeaus, dann kommt auf der linken Seite das Hotel. Das Frühstück war ok. Wie in Italien üblich gab es einen Kaffeeautomat der alles mögliche produzierte, kleine Brötchen, Zwieback, Honig,Marmelade und verpackte Hörnchen. Mehr

Das Zimmer im EG war leider etwas "klamm" und roch muffig. Die Klimaanlage konnte den Eindruck etwas beseitigen. Das Bad war sauber und die Handtücher wurden täglich (je nach Bedarf) gewechselt. Frühstück war, und das wussten wir ja, "italienisch", also ohne Wurst und Käse. Der Kaffee war i. O. Wegen der Feuchtigkeit würden wir das Hotel leider nicht […] wieder buchen. Ruhig gelegen auf der Insel Murano ist der Aufenthalt hier angenehm und günstig. Die Zimmerausstattung ist Standard und sauber. Achtung Zimmer 13 und 14 sind Dachkammern !! kosten aber den gleichen Preis !! Sehr eng und nur Dachlukenfenster ! Kein Problem war der Tausch des Zimmers gegen ein geräumiges mit Klimaanlage und großem Fenster. Das beste am […] Frühstück war der Kaffee. Nicht sonderlich empfehlenswert. Sehr hellhörige Zimmer, man hört alle angrenzenden Nachbarzimmer bei jeglichen Aktivitäten. Sehr sehr schlechtes Frühstück, mit eingebackten Zwieback und eingepackten schlechten Croissants.Dachbodenzimmer wo man eine Gr. XS und unter 1.70 , sein oder tragen muss, damit man irgendwo durch kommt.

The Hotel was really nice but unfortunately everything is closed by the time you come back from a day out in venice even the restaurant . it must be alright in the summer but October is not the ideal time to stay in Murano.

The hotel was not where we expected and when the tide was high we were not informed of this in advance. We were stuck on the island for a day and then had to where garbage bags on our legs carrying our luggage over our heads to leave. When we arrived the only staff was a cleaner who spoke no English. Reception was locked so we hung around the front door. After some long time a man turned up to book us in. I asked whether the WiFi was included, and this offended him greatly and he informed us that it was 3 euros for 30 mins. After that he was not pleasant, and he showed us to our […] room was and disappeared. The room itself was just OK. Not the standard we expected as we had paid for a 'superior' room. The bathroom was cramped and the shower was a joke, and was so weak it took ages to have a decent shower. The tiny TV had very few channels, and but only one was in English, and that was CNBC which broadcasts business news 24/7. Not great, but we were in Venice to watch TV. Breakfast was a strange affair with the usual rolls with jam or honey, cereals and tinned fruit salad, but nothing savoury. I eventually bought my own breakfast ingredients and kept the in the room fridge. There was no tea or coffee making facility either in the room, or as far as we could see anywhere else in the hotel other than at breakfast. We found only one staff member to be helpful. She let us store our cases between booking out and the time we had to leave Venice for the airport. We will not stay again. Mehr

Not the easiest location to find on Murano island. It's clean, and the two women working there are doing their best to take good care of everything, from breakfast and the actual rooms. It`s the first (only) place in Italy where we didn`t have free Internet access. Breakfast was ok (everything was sweet, nothing savoury). There was a Venice-Murano map […] in the room, but it looked identical to all the other promotional materials, so we didn`t notice it. When we asked the reception for a map, they said they didn`t have any... Also, the toilet was the weirdest looking one I`ve ever seen (no lid, and the shape reminded me of those ones you see in prison movies...). Air conditioning didn`t work (the management stopped it, probably to save money). Shower leaked (although there was a big notice on the desk about they do to be green...). Mehr

No signage with regards to where the hotel is located on Murano Island.There was no one in reception to meet us, which made it all a little confusing.The bathroom was so small, one was unable to dry off in there and had to sit sideways on the toilet. Really very small !! The only place to have supper...after 6pm...was a resturant that we came across […] by accident...after asking lots of people and other resturants, which all close about 6pm. Easy connection from airport by water bus. Use the Red line and get off at 1st stop (Museo) it's about a 5 min walk from there. Hotel is quiet, rooms are clean but could benefit from a little modernisation. Breakfast is served from around 7-10am and is basic yes sufficient. There are juices, coffee machine, bread, jam, fruit and toast amongst other […] things and you can either sit inside or on a small roof terrace. Water bus service into Venice is excellent but if you intend to use it a few times but a 3or 4 day pass when you first get to the airport, it will save you a fortune. Also note that if you intend to get the water bus from and to the airport you need a separate ticket. The only down side about murano is that the entire island seemed to close down at 8pm and we could only find 1 restaurant open and a small pizza/sandwich shop. All in all the hotel was great value for money and an ideal place for a quiet 2-3 day break. Mehr

Locanda Conterie is a charming hotel on Murano. The location was very convenient for us since we didn't want to be in a noisy part of Venice and this hotel was exceptionally quiet! We also really enjoyed Murano as we got to visit glass-blowers in their working place and see lots of extraordinary works of art... and even buy one for our home! Breakfast […] was simple (cereal, bread, croissants, fruit salad, fruit juices) with good coffee machines. Bed was a bit hard for our taste, but everything else in the room was good : powerful air conditioning (which could be kept on for as long as we wanted), excellent water pressure (lots of hot water too), cute little Murano sconces, we even had sky lights. Everything was clean. The location of the Locanda wasn't a problem as there was a vaporetto (boat shuttle) 2 minutes away which took between 15 and 30 min to reach Venice. We only returned once a day to sleep as there is really so many things to do in Venice and Murano, but if you want to go back to the hotel a few times during the day, it might get annoying. But everything is so lovely there, you'll even enjoy the vaporetto rides and the scenery! Finally, we had to pay a tax on check-out which was 1 EUR per person per night per star (this hotel is three stars.) This is common in Italy, but it wasn't written anywhere so be prepared. Mehr

This hotel was a nice budget hotel for me and my boyfriend on our eurotrip together. The best thing about the hotel was the price and the service. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with questions and directions. The worst thing was the distance from Venice and the main attractions. Taking the boat everywhere took time out of our every day time budget so that was quite convenient. However the island Murano was beautiful and filled with friendly people. Overall, it's been pleasant, but I think it has got to do with the company of my family rather than the hotel itself. The hotel is good if you want to get away from the maddening crowds on the main island of Venice. It's situated in a residential area and it's all very peaceful and quiet. The room is on the whole well-kept and clean. But the hotel breakfast […] is the worst I've ever had travelling in Europe. The coffee machine doesn't work well--milk tastes slightly sour--cappucino tastes horrid! Bread is stale and croissants are not fresh either--comes in sealed packaging. The milk jug is like a dumbbell, yes, so you can't be bothered to even lift it up. Hotel staff not exactly friendly and even condescending at times. You don't really feel welcome. They hotel was mediocre but the location was outstanding. Once the tourists leave Murano in the early evening. The town is perfectly quiet and a delight. The room at the hotel was decently clean, but the bed wasn't terribly comfortable. Nonetheless, we got a restful sleep. We would stay here again.

Near the edge of the island where everything is in walking distance, hotel was really cute and had an antique vibe. Only complaint was the air condition went off randomly in the middle of the night but came back on. Good hotel for a nice price

Hotel was nice quaint and clean. Room was okay except for no view and hard pillows. Location was out of the way and suggest print out directions before going especaialy to get off at the proper water taxi spot in bad weather. Staff was great but if your use to a big American breakfast then not much there for you.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. it is in a very quiet location but there are restaurants and shops within 200 yds of the hotel. Whilst breakfast wasn't great, eating on the sun terrace made up for it. Great value and away from the crowds, a great place to escape after a busy day in Venice.

Great hotel, the island is an ideal spot to stay away from the main bustle and high cost of the city centre. Lovely boat ride across. Close to transport. Nice hotel, was with parents and we were split between the 2 sites but they are just up the street. Highly recommended.

We we're pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The decor is wonderful. Never in all my travels have I seen a hotel with such charm. Just be prepared to travel lite because like Venice you will have to walk from the canal to the hotel, about 5 minutes on cobblestone streets. Breakfast was basic but good. The hotel was great. If you plan to stay here, you should keep in mind that it takes 20 min or so to get to Venice by vaporetto, which was fine for us since we were here for 3 days and had plenty of time. The hotel shampoo was great! The A/C worked nice and strong!

If you want to visit Venice, but have a refuge outside the bustle of the city, Hotel Conterie is ideal. It is located on the island of Murano, famous for its glass, and only a 10 minute boat ride away from the main island of Venice. The hotel is clean, friendly, and comfortable. I stayed there before, and will stay there again during my next visit.

Very small hotel but more than adequate for exploring Venice, the Lido, etc. A 15 min walk from the main vaporetto stop. The room was clean but a little on the small side for two people. Pleasant breakfast area (breakfast very basic however) and patio.

nıce and cute place to stay. the woman ıs very nıce and helpful but the man ıs a jerk. avoıd hım. make sure the key to the outsıde gate works before you leave. check the ferry tımes because hotel ınfo ıs not completely accurate. cheers.

Lovely room , very large with a comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was basic but you can buy your own at the supermarket which is close. There is no mould in the hotel. The mirrors have been upgraded with new supposedly antique looking mirrors. The "antique look" looks like mould behind the mirrors. We were looking for a romantic get-a-way and this hotel fit the bill. It is located on Murano, away from the crowds, and among the people who actually live on the island. Not the least impressed with the hotel. I was hoping for a nice, small and clean hotel in convenient location not far away from Venice centre. Here's what we've got. The room was so small you could jump from one end to the the other. It was more like a ship's cabin, barely fitting double bed. Bathroom wasn't better. It was so small that while sitting […] on a toilet my knees were up against the wall. The room seemed clean however when I woke up the first night I had some bugs crawling around my pillow! That was too much. As to the breakfast. You get some rolls, butter, jam and honey. There's also a coffee and juice maker. That's it. So diverse, I was looking forward to it every morning. Location. The map I had with me was pretty good but I really wasn't sure I'm going into the right place. It felt like I'm going to get mugged any second. Hotel is not easy to find if you don't know where you're going. There's no signs pointing to it or even street name anywhere near. Found it pretty much by accident. The hotel itself is really lovely inside, very clean, lots of nice touches. Our room (Room number 4) looks big in pictures but actually is only just big enough for the double bed and wardrobe. Still not too bad as it is nicely decorated and comfortable to stay in. Unfortunately it was let down by the smallest bathroom ever. To use the loo you had […] to turn sideways to avoid knocking the shower cubicle and the shower cubicle was so small I could hardly get in it and couldnt turn round at all. All in all.
