The Lucan Spa Hotel - Lucan

This is an ok hotel I woud use it again not a problem. It was just an over night stay, arrived later in the evening and left very early. Will stag again.

The reception was the best I have come across. The Receptionest was so friendly. The Bar area was very good. The only problem encountered was the sound from the central heating pipes in the room at 5 oclock in the morning.

If you want to have a holiday in Dublin without staying in the city this hotel is a must, The staff are so friendly and treat you as part of their family, The accomodation is first class,clean and comfortable. The food is great. Nothing seems to be any trouble to them, the staff go that recommend this hotel to others,,,,, You bet I would.

Although we booked very late and didn't arrive till after midnight(due to the floods) the staff were great and had tea and sandwiches ready for us. The room was spacious and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

very comfortable stay at lucan spa would stay there again.Very much enjoyed my stay friendly staff had a wonderful stay in dublin. Good transport links regular bus service near by hotel to go into dublin city centre.

Not atall impressed with the Lucan Spa. Fine for a fleeting visit or as a stopover. Quite old fashioned, cracked tiles in bathroom, bedroom door damaged, v noisy during the night, disorganised service at breakfast albeit the food was good. Would not choose to use this hotel again.

The service was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy as i had thought when booking to get to my destination which was Punchestown Event Centre Naas. In fact I would have struggled to get there at all without the help of fellow guests who were also going to a convention there. My room was pleasent but […] noisey at night the boiler kept on firing up, and there was banging of metal trays outside my window. Also had a problem getting to hotel from airport,no bus service available when I arrived at 8 oclock thusday night. Had to get to hotel by taxi which was expensive - 46 euros! But food was good staff were nice, could do with better transport faciiites, fron Airport and elsewhere, Mehr

This hotel was fine. There is nothing around it and not really any spa access for hotel patron. I would stay again, but keep in mind it is difficult to find and get to from the main roads.

Nice accomodation. Very quiet and few options at breakfast.

I attended a wedding at the Spa Hotel Lucan and decided to stay overnight. The room was basic but very clean. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. It was easy to find and close to the M50 and I would stay there again.

Stayed at the hotel as we were attending a celebration nearby, suitable for our purpose which was a place to lay our head and have breakfast. I would say it is a 3* hotel with good staff. Room was clean however needs a little maintenance in te bathroom. Great price though so no complaints!

Sweeping corridors and stairs but the room itself was extremely small. I hit my elbow against the door trying to comb my hair in the bathroom. No bath (although the fire regulations /instructions referred to a bath). The shower cabin looked so small and uncomfortable that I did not bother using it (I feared I might not be able to turn around and get […] back out of it). Bed very unfomfortable and after a few hours (as I did not sleep all night) I was lying on the springs. Very poor sound proofing; all neighbours could be clearly heard speaking. I had an acute sense of poor fire proofing as soon as I entered the room / hotel; with everything in wood, carpets, wallpaper, even the (undersized) door of the room was wooden. Of course the firealarm (next to my head) went off at 3 am and I heard someone talking and closing the fire door in the corridor. Nothing else happened and no explanation was given by Reception when I checked out at 8 am (I did not bother asking any questions as I have no intention to return). Mehr

Comfortable homely hotel , easy to get to with loads of parking space . Lovely obliging staff , have and will heartily recommend it to all my colleagues and friends.

This is a historic hotel that was being rennovated, so I got a very good rate. The rooms are very clean, spacious and grand with modern conveniences. There was wireless internet, though you had to get a code at reception and pay after an introductory free 30 minutes and the signal was weak in my room. The bar downstairs was great also with some nice […] locals to talk with. They set up an early breakfast for me as I had to catch a flight at 6am. Highway construction made it a bit annoying to drive, but when that is complete it will be back to normal. Mehr

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Room fulfilled its purpose as a place top stay after attending a wedding in the locality. The excellent service was let down by the quality of the breakfast; bacon was 'very well' cooked and inedible, not what I would expect at any time but especially at 8.30 am. Good location, well serviced with buses.

Rooms are very poor, below 2 star in my opinion. If you knocked hard enough on the room door it would probably fall down. common areas were ok.

I would recommend this hotel the food was excellent the rooms were so very clean and very comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful.The best value hotel anywhere.

Quirky, off the beaten track - yet an interesting place to stay. the staff are very nice especially at reception. Food is good in the bistro and breakfast was good. The room i was in was small and basic but the bed was comfortable.

I had an early morning flight out of Dublin so decided to go over from Galway the night before to avoid having to get up at 1:30am. All the airport hotels were fairly expensive so I booked the Spa hotel. It's about a 25 minute drive from Dublin airport at 4:30am. My rate included breakfast but they didn't start serving until 7 so I thought I was out […] of luck. However, they arranged for me to have a continental breakfast of tea, toast and cornflakes at 4:30am! Fantastic and I'd definitely go back just because of that service. Well done!! Mehr

Two nights B&B, excellent value for money, the breakfast was lovely, also food in the hotel was cheap compared to other hotels ive visited. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would return to this hotel again.

My GPS system had a hard time locating this hotel even with the address listed here on hotels.com AND Google maps. This may have been helped by the fact that the main highway leading to the hotel was under construction, as well as the hotel itself. I found it by chance - as I was driving around Lucan I saw a sign posted, but even trying to follow the […] sign proved a bit difficult. Once I arrived, though, I found the interior of the hotel to be very nice. There's a nice sitting area in the lobby, a restaurant (I didn't have time to use it), and a very nice bar/pub. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only real problem I had was the cost of Internet usage as I thought when I booked it said "free Wi-Fi". I would stay here again, but not when I'm flying out from Dublin airport, as it's not that convenient or close-by. Mehr
