Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.

Wir waren mit der Familie einige Tage in diesem Hotel, und war einfach perfekt. Ein sehr gutes Hotel mit gutem Frühstücksbuffet und zentraler Lage. Auch für Famielen mit Kindern geeignet

"Nichts für Verliebte"
Am Anfang freundliche Begrüßung, danach kann man absolut nicht mehr von Service sprechen. Beim Frühstück wurden die Tische teilw. nicht abgeräumt, dass sich die Teller stapelten und man keinen "frischen Tisch" mehr bekam, auch Brötchen gab es nur begrenzt. Die angepriesene Sauna war seltsamerweise nie offen (bzw. nicht nach 17h, wo man ja normalerweise […] mal gehen möchte), weil angeblich ein Film gedreht wurde ;), als deutsche Sender im Fernsehen gibt es nur nur ZDF & Eurosport. Das schlimmste war eigtl., dass das Internet 2 Tage nicht funktioniert hat, was echt nicht sein kann, wenn es versprochen wird und man beruflich darauf angewiesen ist. Für Urlauber unter 35 absolut nicht empfehlen, bzw. ich würde es nur Leuten empfehlen, die sich absolut nicht im Hotel aufhalten möchten. Weiter gab es Vorkommnisse wie, dass man trotz Zimmerservice kein Toielettenpapier bekommen hat o.ä.. Ein echt nicht wiederholungsbedürftiger Aufenthalt. Ich erwarte mehr von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel! Sehr guter Service, freundliches u. hilfsbereites Personal. Hotel zeichnet sich durch eine angenehme u. persönliche Atmosphäre aus. Sauberkeit und Komfort der Zimmer sind ausgezeichnet. Einziger Nachteil: Es liegt an einer verkehrsreichen Straße und ist daher auch nachts laut.

Hotel liegt in guter Lage, zum Vatikan 20min zu Fuß,Metroanbindung ca.10 min,nettes Personal engl.sprachig,beim Frühstück überwiegt mehr der Kuchen als alles andere, aber in Italia so üblich. Die herrliche Dachterrasse durfte leider zu keiner Tageszeit betreten werden weil es auch dort an Personal mangelt.Ansonsten für einen 4tägigen Romaufenthalt nur […] zu empfehlen Mehr

gemessen an den Preisen im Zentrum Rom's hat das Donna Laura Palace ein gutes Presi/Leistungsvehältnis.
Sehr geeignet für 50+ erwachsenen die ruhig suchen.alle sehenswürdigkeiten war zu fuss erreichbar.das Hotel ist sehr gutes 4 Stern
"Very nice hotel, excellent service, good value"
15 min walk to metro, 5 stops to central station. ( takes about 10 to central)Not much around in area to choose from for restaurants or entertainment. On our walk back from metro, we Did find really good local restaurant Pepe's that had great food & is were all the locals dine. Very inexpensive. Don't be fooled by the appearance...food is delicious! […] But if you want more restaurants or evening strolls where there are other people, you will want to stay a few metro stops closer to central. Hotel fronts onto a busy street alongside the river. All rooms face street and have balcony. Soundproof glass keeps room very quiet. Traffic dies down to nothing late at night.. "Sewer Gas and Hidden Charges"
The front desk staff were indifferent and rude .Our room and parts of the breakfast room smelled of sewer gas which the cleaning staff new about. We were moved but the room they moved us to smelled of the same gas in the move they misplaced our luggage .When we were checking out even though our room was fully paid for when we booked it there was a 6E […] charge per day. Be careful on the street infront of the Hotel watch for welldressed con men asking directions. Mehr
"Definite a good deal!"
Very clean, with modern & elegant decorations. I love the hotel building very much, which is actually a villa. Room and bath are both very big. Location is a little remote without cars. Yet the closes metro station is in 10 mins walk.

The hotel is good.Clean,good breakfast and staff.But on check-out I was surprised with additive 3€ per night tax,although at check-in I asked and the reception guy said me that "all is paid and I have no more obligations". "Condition"
I have always liked this hotel and have been a guest for the last 6 years but it is now time to ensure a proper maintenance is performed. The wallpaper is falling and humidity stains are everywhere. Please do something about it, it is a pity.

Although not very close to the tourist spots, the hotel is wonderful; clean, comfortable and very good service. The breakfast is very good and the location is quiet. It is a first rate hotel. The dinner choice on the roof was limited, however there is also a wonderful restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel on the same street. Fantastic.
"Out of the way but fantastic"
We had a 2-night stay at the Donna Laura at the end of august; the restaurant is like an oasis of calm in the bustle of Rome. We arrived early to check in and after a short wait were shown to the room; beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and a really good size for a hotel in Rome. Breakfast the following morning was excellent & the staff were […] very helpful. Despite the relative distance from the main sites, the hotel is a 10 minute walk over the river to Piazza del Popolo. One minor whinge; I wanted to use the internet to check in for our flights but the only alternative was a one hour slot on the hotels computer at €7 for the hour. I don't think it's a lot ot ask hotels to provide such a service free of charge these days - or is just me? Anyway, the bottom line is that I would highly recommend the Donna Laura Palace. Mehr
"fabulously cold hotel"
We just spent 2 nights here in 31C Rome. hotel was wonderfully cold and beautifully furnished. Lovely breakfast with plentiful cakes and pastries. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is a good 10 mins from the nearest metro (lepanto). Tried to find a bus route that passed but gave up. There is a number 19 tram which runs up to the vatican but it doesn't […] go into Rome, rather strangely. Mehr

"Hotel Donna Laura Palace"
What a lovely surprise, this hotel was perfect for us. The staff were excellent, our room was small but spotlessly clean with well utilised space. We had breakfast each morning which was more than we expected, it was perfect. If you like to walk it is not far (about 20 minutes) from Piazza Popolo and Spanish Steps.The Vatican is also within easy reach […] by taxi.There aren't many restaurants etc in the immediate area but a taxi or walk will get you to the Piazza Navona for a lovely meal. "The best of both"
The hotel is between the city centre and the vatican. It is actually closer to sites than we thought, but also provided the opportunity to be out of the hustle and bustle of the toursit hot spots. The desk staff aren't very informative, but are congenial. I would stay there again.
"Not bad"
We decided to stay here because it said it was near vatican city, it was decently priced, and looked to have nice rooms. It was no where near vatican city (could not walk there), but the rooms were nice. The TV was very very small... about a 13 inch but we did not go to Rome to watch tv so it wasnt really a big deal. We almost paid extra for the room […] to get a room with a balcony, but all rooms have balcony's and all rooms get breakfast. Our room service breakfast was a huge problem. We had two rooms, one room did not get anything at all, and the second room only got half the order. The bathrooms were very nice and the room was air conditioned which was a change from normal Rome rooms, but anything that is in the bathroom gets wet because there is no shower door or shower curtain. It was a very safe room though, and the surronding area was nice, however there werent alot of restraunts around so we ended up back at the hotel eating on the verranda. The verranda is gorgeous, very expensive, (about 300 euro for 3 of us), but it was a great view and a very nice dinner. Mehr

We chose the Donna Laura as we had a car and wanted to stay in Rome, close to the sights at a reasonably priced hotel that had on site parking that was free. As driving in Rome is challenging, visitors are most likely to choose foot, public or taxi transportation. When you factor these costs in, it may make more sense to look at other options. "Know what you're getting"
This hotel itself is fine, perfect for basic needs, and above the basics of European standards. We had a few issues, though: it's pretty far away from town, though only a few blocks from the metro. It was fine for us--my husband and I always felt safe. But I wouldn't want to be in the area by myself at night--it's pretty deserted, with few stores and […] pretty much no people around. The only real issue we had with the hotel itself was that the cleaning staff took all our personal toiletries--soap, facewash, etc that we'd brought from home. We tried to discuss this with the front desk, but they either did not understand our issue (though they spoke good English otherwise) or they weren't really interested in it. Also, this hotel is outside the city walls, so cabs are more expensive than to hotels inside the city. It's not that it's a bad choice, necessarily, but you should know what you're getting, and hide your toiletries! Mehr
"Okay, but...."
The hotel itself is fine--comfortable and all you would need. However, several other factors made it less than ideal. The location is pretty far out, and there's nothing nearby. You can walk to the metro in about 10 mintues, but be warned that during that walk, you're likely not to see anyone except the (perfectly harmless) homeless woman who sleeps […] in a doorway along the way. I never felt uncomfortable in this area, as I was with my husband, but I would not have traveled alone in this area after dark. Also, since the hotel is outside the city walls, cabs will cost extra. The other really frustrating thing about this hotel was that there was no "Do not disturb" sign, so you cannot refuse maid service (or sleep in, if you so desired). This would be okay, but on the first day we were there, the maids "cleaned" our bathroom by throwing away all of our personal toiletries, such as the soap we'd brought. (I assume they were simply thrown away; they were gone when we returned to the room.) We tried to explain this to the front desk, and they were either indifferent or uncomprehending (I'm not sure which). Regardless, we ended up replacing our items and hiding them when we left the room. At one point, I forgot and left my toothbrush out (standing up so as not to touch anything), and when I returned, it had been piled with items from elsewhere in the bathroom---successfully contaminating it, so that I could not even brush my teeth that evening. Finally, while we were there the wireless service in the hotel was broken. No explanation or accomodation was made for this, which was quite frustrating, since we made sure to book a hotel with wireless. The hotel itself was fine, and breakfast was also good. But the other issues made this hotel not worth the trouble. Mehr
"Good Deal especially if you have rented a car"
We had gotten a good deal online for the week we were there in late August. We rented our own car, so the free parking here was a huge plus! Breakfast included also a plus. Staff were nice. I would stay here again.

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, leeting us keep our bags there as we had a late flight and arranging transport. The location was very convenient to the metro and St. Peters was within walking distance. "Pænt hotel, billederne snød lidt"
Generelt et fint hotel, morgenmaden led dog under at det kneb med varmt kaffe. Tagterressen hvor vi havde set billeder af små borde og liggestole var slet ikke åben, selvom temperaturen lå omkring 25 gr. Værelserne var lidt mindre billederne indikerede.
Hotel er bra standard, ligger i park omrøde, men samtidige i narheten til sentrum . veldig fornøyd og skal bruke den hotel fremtiden, og skal anbefale til venner:)
"Hårda sängar övrigt ok"
Är det ok med 20 minuters promenad till centrum, en del biltrafik på gatan utanför och gillar man hårda sängar så är det ett bra hotell.

El hotel está genial, el buffet del desayuno abundante y variado, y probamos el jacuzzi y la sauna. Absolutamente ninguna queja, si acaso hubiera pensado que tendrían camas más grandes ( pues la de matrimonio de 1,35 m se me hace un poco pequeña). Está al lado del rio tevere y cerca del vaticano, se llega a la estación de termini en metro y solo hay […] 7 paradas hasta allí. Muy recomendable. Mehr

"Hôtel Donna Laura à Rome : idéal pour visiter Rome"
Très bon hôtel, un peu loin du centre, mais comme à Rome tout se fait à pied, ça reste très proche du Vatican et de la Piazza del Poppolo. Très propre, accueil très correct, petit déj au top, et le jacuzzi pour la fin de journée, après les kilomètres de marche à pied, idéal ! Rien à redire si ce n'est le bruit de la Lungotevere, mais on est en ville […] aussi ;) Mehr

Hotel adatto alle famiglie, ubicato vicino al centro ( raggiungibile a piedi in 10/15 minuti), personale cortese e ambiente curato e pulito
"Parfait ... mais un peu loin de tout :)"
L'accueil et le service au top(le personnel m'a aidé pour choisir du vin à 4h du matin avec le sourire par exemple), la chambre spacieuse et propre, le petit déjeuner est très correct. Petit point négatif, on est assez loin des centres d'activités et de vie. Pour les transports, on est pas super bien desservi, le plus simple étant le taxi pour débuter […] la journée si on a pas envie de trop marcher ou bien de faire comme moi et de galerer avec les bus :) En gros, bon hotel, bon rapport qualité/prix, personnel super sympa, on est pas tout proche des centres de vie. Huoneilma aika heikko. Ilmastoinnista huolimatta (jäähdytys ei toiminut) kuuma. Lisäksi kokolattiamatto. Lisäksi joutui maksamaan kaupunkiveron vaikka piti olla täysin maksettu varaus (Hotels com...???)

Glimrende hotel, glimrende beliggenhed - elendig service. Hotellet vidste ikke at paven var tilstæde i St. Peters på en given dag, resten af Rom gjorde. kunne ikke hjælpe med en italiensk færge side på internettet - man havde ikke internet adgang..... og så gik resepsionisten uden et ord og uden at komme tilbage. Parkeringen var en lang indkørsen, de […] skulle så have nøglerne så de kunne bytte om på bilerne løbende hele dagen. o.s.v. Mehr
