Maui Beach Hotel - Kahului

Von allen Hotels, die wir innerhalb unseres 4wöchigen Urlaubs in den USA gebucht hatten, war dies das "Schlechteste". Etwas in die Jahre gekommene, typisch amerikanische Ausstattung, Lage direkt an der Hauptstraße und Zimmer mit Blick darauf. (Upgrade gegen Aufpreis natürlich möglich mit Blick auf Garten/Hafen) Generell sauber aber auch räumlich etwas […] begrenzt. Das versprochene amerikanische Frühstücksbuffet (12$pP+Tax) konnten wir aufgrund eines "Übertragungsfehlers" nicht nutzen, der kostenlose Internetzugang war nicht der schnellste (wenn es überhaupt mit dem Kabel auf dem Zimmer ging), dafür war das kostenlose Parken jederzeit problemlos am Hotel möglich. Wenn man mit einem relativ niedrigen Standard leben kann, und nur zum schlafen dort ist, ist es ok. (weiche Betten)Allerdings gibt es nahezu NICHTS außer 2-4 Shopping-Malls in diesem Ort. Mehr

Das Hotel wirkt zunächst erwas alt. die Zimmer waren jedoch frisch renoviert ind absolut sauber.

Mittelklassehotel. Saubere Zimmer und gute zentrale Lage...allerdings jedoch keine schöne Lage, da direkt im Hafenbecken. Den Hotelstrand wollten wir daher nicht nutzen. Achtung: Scheint am Wochenende gerne von Jugendlichen als Party-Hotel genutzt zu werden...

Meine Freundin und ich bereisten Maui per Auto. Am ersten und am letzten Tag buchten wir zur Sicherheit ein Hotel. Somit gelangten wir am 24. Dezember in das Maui Beach Hotel, Parken ist dort gratis. Unser Zimmer (Nummer 205) war neu renoviert, mit Balkon und Blick auf Innenhof, der das Innere eines Us ausfüllt, rundherum das Hotel. Das offene Ende […] des Us bildet der kleine Sandstrand, der mit großen Lavasteinen gesät ist. Nebenbei liegt der Frachthafen, wir sprechen hier also von keinem Badehotel. Das ist aber nebensächlich, denn schöne Strände sind mit dem Mietwagen innerhalb von 10 Minuten erreichbar. Im Zimmer waren alle Annehmlichkeiten vorhanden: Queen-size Bett, Aircondition, Kühlschrank, Fernseher mit vielen Kanälen, perfekt sauber, neuwertig und 1a Zustand der Dusche etc. Ein vorhandenes Ethernetkabel verband sofort mit Breitbandinternet. Die Nacht war vollkommen ruhig und brachte erholsamen Schlaf. Das Frühstück war inkludiert, auch hier fand man ein reichliches Angebot. Das Hotel hat hinter dem Essensbereich noch einen Pool mit circa 10 mal 5 Metern. Checkout war wieder vollkommen unkompliziert, mit dem Hotelshuttle, der eine Stunde vorher bei der Rezeption angemeldet wurde, ging es zur vollen Stunde zum Airport. Perfekt. Ideal für eine letzte Übernachtung oder auch für eine längere Zeit als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge. Es gibt in der Umgebung ein paar Restaurants und einen Whole Foods Markt. Wir hatten das Hotel gewählt, um die Anfahrt zur "Road to Hana" und "Haleakala" zu verkürzen(die übrigen Tage verbrachten wir in Kaanapali). Das Hotel ist von zwei Seiten von recht stark befahrenen Straßen gesäumt, da unser Zimmer zur Gartenseite lag, war davon aber nichts zu hören. Störender für die Nachtruhe war die recht alte, etwas zu laute Klimaanlage. Das […] Zimmer war von der Ausstattung her okay und sauber. Ein" Krabbeltier" ist uns über den Weg gelaufen, aber das hatten wir auch in teureren Hotel auf Hawaii. Angenehm überrascht hat uns das Frühstück, was es ohne Zusatzkosten gab. Für amerikanische Verhältnisse üppig mit Salat, Rührei, Schinken, Würstchen, verschiedenen Brot(Toast!)sorten, Waffeln und frischem Obst. Besonders, da auf unserem Voucher "ohne Frühstück" vermerkt war. Zwischen dem U-förmigen Hotelkomplex befindet sich eine nette Grünfläche, über die ein sehr kleiner Strand zu erreichen ist, wo schwimmen möglich ist-aber bei den vielen schönen Stränden auf Maui nicht wirklich reizvoll!! Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis-wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Mehr

Zum ankommen ist das Hotel geeignet, ist auch guter Ausgangspunkt im die Insel kennenzulernen, wenn man keinen Rundtripp plant. Würde wieder hingehen.

Entgegen allen anderen Menschen, welche wir auf den Inseln begegnet sind, wurden wir im Maui Beach Hotel nicht herzlich empfangen und dementsprechend nicht zufriedenstellend bedient. Auch bei der Abreise war das Interesse nicht gross ob es uns gefallen hätte. Wahrscheinlich lag es an dem, dass das Hotel ausgebucht war...

Hotel is pleasant, close to shopping mall and beach. Room was small, air conditioner was not working well and the TV needs to be updated (too small and not flat screen!) The picture shown is misleading as we were given an old, not modern room.

We stayed here due to the late arrival of our flight and the need for a one night stay before our condo was ready . It was acceptable for such a purpose . This seems to be the hotel where the locals stay when they go on vacation. Kahului is the commercial center of the island- not the tourist destination. It was convenient that everything is a short drive: Lahaina is ~45 min, Paia ~10, Maalaea ~10 min, but is not the nice, resort you may have in mind. The hotel is not in the best condition and the shower […] was small (and had mold). It is fine if you aren't planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel. Room was clean and simple. Hotel very dated and shabby. No lounge and no decent restaurant. (The breakfast and dinner buffets were not the slightest bit appetizing) Place on Friday night featured a loud 80's band for locals. Security very heavy in parking lot which gave pause for one's safety. Would not return.

This is an older hotel that has made some upgrades. The ocean view was nice and the reception / lobby area was welcoming. The rooms were clean.

Don't let the pics fool you. This is one of Maiu's old hotels. The rooms are more like motel rooms. The A/C unit is an old school wall unit. The carpet looks 10 years old and smells like it too. The hotel was in a decent location and the price was right and it was a good place to lie down at night. We did the road to Hana one morning and sunrise on Haleakala the next and the hotel was a good starting point for both. The rooms were a little dated and small but the bed was comfy so that is all that was needed. I also stayed at Maui Seaside Hotel, next to Maui Beach hotel. The staff is much friendlier and unlike Maui Beach hotel, computer usage is free. Seaside even suggested we can come back for shower in their Hospitality Room on the same day if we were to go to the beach after check-out. Great location if you want to rent car and tour around. The location is not close to the better beaches. The hotel is fine with no concerns about cleanliness,service or condition. There are limited restaurant services so most of the time we ate out. The location is adjacent to a mall if you want to do some shopping.

We liked everything about our stay at the Maui Beach Hotel. The room rate changed based on occupancy and we wished we could've had the lower rate for the duration of our stay but we liked it so we extended our stay anyway. Convenient shuttle service to/from the airport and even to some local areas. Room was small, but had a refrigerator and balcony. Was comfortable and overlooked the grounds and courtyard. Nearby Shopping Mall for food and access to public transportation, which we used and enjoyed for Island sightseeing (a real bargain!). when arrived very unpleasant reception from receptionist, not helpful told us they couldnt provide our booked room and only had twin beds for the wife and i but that we could upgrade at our expense if we wanted one bed. oh the cheek!!!! Fitness centre (you are kidding) three machines one broken pool also broken while we were there.

We were flying standby and couldn't get on a Friday flight, so we needed a room closeby the airport to try again on Saturday. With that in mind, the Maui Beach Hotel fit the bill. Would definitely stay there again . Location is ideal . Central to whatever direction you choose to be in Maui. Reasonable rate and close to all amenities. Room clean and comfortable . The only drawback to our room which was the upgraded room with a ocean view was that it was noisy about 6-8 am because of the delivery trucks or the maintainance building […] which was very close. We stayed at the Maui Beach because it was close to the airport and it was very late at night and wanted a place to crash. They are in the middle of refurbishing all the rooms with new bathrooms. Basic place to stay when arriving late in Maui after along flight from Toronto. No food available after 9:00pm however. There were some vending machines but no one told us & this was not mentioned in the services listed.

Felt tricked coming here. We reserved a queen, but got stuck with two doubles, so my husband's feet hung off. Wifi is only in the lobby. There is a short network cable in the room, but the box wasn't working. The TVs are old CRTs and barely get any stations. Our cable stopped working the second day, anyway. The only microwave I. The hotel is in the […] laundry room at the opposite end of the hotel from most of the rooms. The AC was loud and couldn't maintain temperature. We kept alternating from sweating to freezing. At check-in we had to wait for room to be cleaned, and then hotel staff forgot to tell us our room was ready even though we were right there in the lobby waiting.They did give us vouchers for free breakfast but food was horrible and we could not eat it. We left a day early.....
