For a budget price, this Hotel is an OK choice. My room was clean. Furnishings are basic and dated, certainly nothing fancy but they are functional. Very family friendly! Rooms were large and comfortable! Price was very reasonable. I recommend this hotel for all family getaways.

I read a few negative reviews before booking my stay but I thought the guests were being too picky. I was wrong. The ceiling/floor was paper-thin. Every footstep, moved furniture and loud voice from the room above resonated into our room. It was non-stop. We called the front desk but nothing was said or done--the noise continued. IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO SEAWALL AND NOT VERY FAR FROM THE CRUISE TERMINAL. I LIKED THAT VERY MUCH! THE ONLY THING THAT I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT THERE WERE NO ELEVATORS, STAINS ON THE ROOM FLOOR AND AS WELL WAS COLA STAINS ON THE DOOR, AND FINALLY THERE WAS NOT MUCH WATER PRESSURE IN THE BATHROOM. I always stay at this hotel whenever I go cruising out of Galveston. It is in a good location and they always take me to the terminal and watch my car while I am going. I was a little disappointed this time in that there van going to the port was broken and I had to watch for the shuttle from Moody Gardens. I did not have a problem going to the port. […] However, coming back, I got off the boat at 8:30AM. However, the first shuttle was not going to leave from the hotel until 9:30AM. I did not want to wait for the shuttle and I got a taxi cab back to the hotel so I could start my drive home. Mehr

The rooms in the newer buidling were very nice although there was no balcony which would have made the stay even better. We played Putt-Putt and had a great time, it needs a little maintenance. The staff was very helpful and courteous, I would reccomend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a comfortable place for a good price.

We combined a business trip with a little leisure. Why not in Galveston? The hotel was conveniently located to our conference at Moody Gardens for a lot less money. The room was spacious. We especially enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in our room to store drinks and extra food. Pillows were not to comfortable!!! Air-conditioning was great you could set it for your comfort. Not like other hotel resorts that have a sensor. Very clean rooms.

I loved this hotel and so did my family the deluxe room where you can park under your hotel room was awesome and their staff was sweet and funny also complementary breakfast was great... The only thing that was a minor problem was are wifi was on and off and also our wake call was supposed to be at 6:00am and instead it woke us up at 8:00am.... But […] other than that it was great! We enjoyed out stay and are always grateful for the size of the rooms. So many times, we feel shoved into a small space, but Inn @ the WP is ample, clean and comfortable. With young children, you always need to have lots of space and this is the best place we have found to experience all that Galveston has to offer.

enjoyed the hotel -- the bed was a little uncomfy -- and the area for breakfast is very small and felt very cramped while i was getting my breakfast -- played mini golf -- too many kids goofing off -- stopped playing in the middle of it -- not the hotels fault -- but we did enjoy the stay over all -- close to the beach -- night staff friendly -- day […] staff not soo much -- glad i was checking out -- just wish there was a trolly so we didnt have to drive -- but it was also not the summer - Mehr

Overall it was a great experiece. The rooms are spacious and dclean. The free breakfast was good but too crowded. i was in the new bulding in the 4th floor so i didnt have anyone walking over me :) what drove me crazy was the elevator, i was right next to it and i could hear the beep all the time. We stayed in the tower part of the hotel from Thursday to Saturday on Easter Weekend. It was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay there. And we (my husband and I) will stay again. I would recommend anyone who is in Galveston for vacation and need a good, safe and clean and reasonable price place to stay this is the place. The room was large.

This hotel is super-clean; very nice staff but the walls in in the north building (behind the main lobby) are so paper-thin. We could hear entire conversations of our next door neighbors. It's a shame is was built so poorly.

room smelled like cheap mens cologne. dont like that there was a connecting door to next room.

Great location clean rooms and good service. It was great for us since our Ironman event was within walking distance. We have stayed at other Motels in the area, this was by far the best experience.

My friends and I stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 and it was super close to Moody Gardens. We walked to the race in the morning and it was hundreds cheaper than the Moody Gardens Hotel. The room was clean and spacious. It was great to be able to park right outside of our room. They even started serving breakfast early the morning of the race so that […] traveling athletes could nom. Terrible place to stay. Had paid for 2 nights. First night the people above us were having a party until 1am. Front desk did nothing to help or move us. Slept from 1am to 4 am, had to get up early for an event. Very tired with no sleep, but the worst part is I was attacked by BED BUGS from the mattress. Hundreds of bites. The room was nice and spacious, with comfortable beds. It was quiet and though not right on the sea wall it was very close driving. I would really recommend staying and will do so again in the future.

Inn at the Waterpark, was not right off the beach, but close enough. The room was clean and the hotel staff were very gracious. While this may not be a super 5-star hotel, the hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and the staff was attentive.

I stayed at the Hotel one night because i had a convention at MoodyGarden. Clean enough, Bathroom wasnt very clean could use basic renovations but it was a place to lay your head at night and shower. its great for anyone that has kids, it has a put-put golf area and close to Moody Gardens and Shliterbhan.

This hotel was Great! right next to Moody Gardens and only a mile from the sea wall. Clean rooms! Nice pool and putt putt. We didn't have any problems and would definately stay again!!

This was the perfect location for our vacation with small children. The room was spacious and the convenience of having a fridge and microwave was awesome. It was far enough away from the big crowds but close to everything. It's proximity to Schlitterbahn is so convenient. It was one of our families' fab vacations yet!

The room was better than expected and much larger than normal hotel rooms. We were pleasantly surprised that we could leave our car there free of charge during our 7 day cruise. The staff was very helpful.

Hotel is conveniently located to several attractions such as waterpark and Moody Gardens. Main draw for hotel is free parking while on cruise and free shuttle. Be warned though, shuttle can take quite awhile and is very disorganized. My party waited on pier for over an hour for the shuttle. Be sure if you book a room you ask for the new building. My […] room was in the old building, and while roomy with a separate dining area and mini fridge, bathroom was very tiny. We stayed there two days before our cruise. The room was OK. Bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were terrible. Could have been cleaner and the electricity was off for an hour and a half second night. We were told that the hotel had an elevator, which I needed for my bad knees. That was not true. I had to walk up two flights of stairs to our room. […] The TV didn't work, and the desk person didn't know how to fix it. We were able to leave our car there during our cruise. That was appreciated. I was with a group of 10, we were there on a 1 night stay before a cruise. The hotel was very accommodating by putting us all together and letting us park our cars there for the week and shuttling us to the ship. The hotel is not close to the terminal but the weekend we were there it was Mardi Gras and it was best we stayed away from the party! We found […] a local Cajun seafood place close to the hotel to eat and was very happy, food was great! The rooms were very spacious and clean. You could tell the hotel was not new but it was kept up. The hotel was very convenient for our trip destination point. Located right next to Moody gardens. We were booked for 2 nights. After the first minute of stepping in our room my two 6 year olds were asking how come we had to stay in a room so gross. We were put on the old part of the hotel, the second night after demanding another room they switched […] us to the new part. This part was bearable. We enjoyed our stay at The Inn at the Park, the hotel was clean and located close to the seawall. The room was very large with a separate "dining area" the beds were clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. It is also close to Moody Gardens&Schilterban Water Park. They even have a putt-putt golf course on site!

We booked two nights primarily because of their offering of free parking and shuttle for the cruise ships. The Inn and breakfast are fairly basic but acceptable. The organization for shuttle service is somewhat disorganized and chaotic so you need to be patient and flexible to take advantage of this service.

We chose this hotel because our daughter was competing at Moody Gardens, but it's hotel was full. When we arrived, our AC/Heater was off & when we went to turn it on, the entire front of the unit fell off. We called the front desk & someone eventually came & replaced the entire unit. There were roaches in the toilet & closet areas, spider webs & bugs […] in the shower & brown stains on the shower curtain. We were there two nights. After the first night, I left a note for housekeeping asking them to either clean or replace shower curtain (my husband & I had already picked up the roaches & cleaned out the shower so it could be used) but neither was done. When I went down to complain, there was a line to the door of people waiting to check-in, check-out or talk to manager. When we checked out, I was told the manager was not available but I could call back to talk to him. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. Next year, we will stay on the seawall & drive. Galveston's not that big & the drive is not that far. BTW -- others in our group had similar problems!! Mehr

I was waiting for the bugs and roaches to come out!!! The beds were fine, but I was not impressed with the motel (doors open to the outside) for the price I paid. Will never stay here again!

We recently had cheer competition in Galveston. We stayed here and it was nice. Affordable, family friendly and clean. The only negative thing, if I can call it that was that my pillows had a weird odor to them. That could just be me being picky. I would stay here again.

The hotel room was large, roomy, light and airy. Beds were comfortable. Two sinks in different areas was wonderful for putting on makeup, getting dressed, Shower had plenty of hot water. Could have been more towels. Parking spaces were very close was my only real drawback. Overall, I will stay there again.

I would stay there again because of it's location, but the room was a little dingy and there were stains on the carpet. Made me feel that it was unclean.

There are a few maintenace issues that need addressing in some of the rooms (we had 10 rooms) but overall the people are great and the rooms were very clean.

I stayed two nights in The Inn at the Waterpark, I was in town on business and found the accommodations adequate for my needs, the shower was hot and the furnishings comfortable. The off season price of the room made my visit to Galveston affordable and well rested. Perhaps I will return again next winter and see if they have a cheap room for me, that […] way I can spend a little more when at the seafood restaurant and "Dickens on the Strand". Mehr
