Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe von Dogenpalast, Seufzer-Brücke und Markusplatz, ist also ideal als Standort in Venedig. Die Wasserbusse fahren in ca. 50 m Entfernung ab und man kommt überall schnell hin, incl. zum Flughafen ( ca 65 min) mit der entsprechenden alilaguna-Verbindung. Das Hotel ist sauber, Frühstück gut und vielseitig. Bei Buchung […] sollte man aber darauf achten, nicht ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof zu bekommen. Im Hof steht die Klimaanlage, die 24 Stunden amTag in Betrieb ist und entsprechende Geräusche macht. Die Fenster kann man zwar öffnen, doch die Geräuschbelästigung ist erheblich. Abgesehen von diesem Manko ist das Hotel durchaus empfehlenswert. Mehr

Es ist ein Hotel im alten venezianischen Stil, sehr schön, dem Stil von Venedig entsprechend eingerichtete Zimmer. Einfaches, aber italienschen Verhältnissen entsrechendes Frühstück und sehr sehr nettes Personal. Da die Lage des Hotels super zentral ist, ist es auch nicht weiter schlimm, dass das Hotel selbst nicht über ei Restaurant oder die Möglichkeit […] von kleinen Snacks der einer Bar verfügt. In wenigen Schritten erreicht man mehrere sehr gute Restaurants und auch sehr sehr nette kleine Bars. Wenn wir wieder nach Venedig fahren, werden wir auch wieder genau dieses Hotel buchen! Mehr

Hotel liegt 3 Minuten vom Markusplatz entfernt, Wasserbusse sind auch in 2 Minuten erreicht. Ausstattung des Zimmers ausgezeichnet und Service ist auch top. Hotelangestellte sind sehr zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur empfehlen!

Hotel location is very good, in a quiet square in front of the Church San Zaccaria, short walk from the boat station. Room was small for the price paid and the toilet was basic. It was clean and the sheets were changed daily. But there was a bad smell from the time you enter the reception that persisted day and night. Had to sleep with window open because […] of smell. It's a great location and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A lovely experience.

The hotel is in a very ideal location (just off of the San Zaccharia vaparetto stop and very easy to get to once you know where to go. It is easier to find the sister hotel (Savoia & Jolanda) which is where you need to check in, and then have the concierge bring you to Villa Igea. Overall, the hotel was disappointing. It was lacking in decor and very […] outdated. There was no character to the room. Our windows opened up directly into another building and an airconditioner down below. I would only recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in this location. Otherwise, I would suggest moving in-land. Mehr

Great location and a very freindly staff. I loved that we got off the water Taxi and our room was no more than30 steps away, yet our actual room was around the corner and in a nice and quiet location. The other positive is it's only steps away from San Marco and all of the great sites.

Room was very small, but clean. Bathroom size was ok. Quiet area and nice roof terrace for take-out meal. Location is convenient, but was initially hard to find. All staff are in a another hotel, but it is very close. Nice breakfast.

Great hotel when you find it. We had a little bit of trouble initially as you check-in at the reception of another hotel down the road. Nice touch though to have the suitcases taken up to our room by someone else. Great breakfast and good service. The Hotel also arranged to have a water taxi take a group of us to a glass factory in Murano. Experience […] was great but after buying an expensive glass item I saw one in San Marco for less than half the price :( Overall a good stay. Mehr

Great location 5 minutes from San Marco.Get off the water bus at the San Marco square, cross the bridge at the Bridge of Sighs viewing point. The first hotel (Hotel Savoia & Iolanda) is where you book in. Hotel Igea is one miniute away from it. Easy to find. Very clean, comfortable for a 3 star hotel. This hotel is perfect for Venice - the location is steps away from Piazza San Marco and the rooms are huge. Our room was a suite with a lounge area separate to the bedroom. There's a nice little patio area where you can sit overlooking a small church square - great for people watching! Villa Igea is a sister hotel to a large hotel (Savoia & Jolanda) […] just down the road (literally a 1 minute walk) so when you arrive you check in there. There's no physical receptionist at Villa Igea but it's very easy to walk over to Savoia & Jolanda or give them a ring. For the price this hotel can't be beat - it was great and I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Venice! Mehr

We would like to thank all the staff at Villa Igea for our very pleasant stay. The staff are superb and all help is provided. The room is very nice and the location is superb, a short walk to St.Marks Square and most other main attractions. It is also right outside the water bus stop for S.Marco and these are an excellent way to see Venice, you can […] just hop on and off if you buy a multi trip ticket at the airport. Villa Igea in Venice is incredibly well-priced for the quality - and we were offered a free upgrade which was brilliant. We later needed a late check out (due to a late night!) and this was given with no problem at all. The location couldn't be better for exploring Venice, especially on a short weekend trip, and it's in a generally quiet street. The […] only disturbance comes from the church bells opposite - and these chime on the hour (and sometimes half hour too) morning and evening - which can wake you if you like to go to bed before 12, or like to sleep in. I booked my girlfriend & I into the Hotel Igea for a couple of nights to see the sights of Venice. Upon booking I checked a few reviews which were generally positive, and was more than pleased when we arrived. The ocation was excellent, just around the corner from the stunning San Marco Square - with the main sights to be seen in Venice. The other advantage […] of it beign so close to the Square was that it was always easy enough to find your way back there when you got lost in the City (getting lost is one of the best things about Venice). The Hotel was very clean, we loved our room - not large, but I wouldn't have wanted ti to be any bigger (we were in Venice after all). Classic Venetian style, mini-bar, tv, shower-room etc. Breakfast was fine (served until 10) and it was a reasonable price (for Venice) so no complaints whatsoever - everything we wanted it to be. We had a great time during our stay at Villa Igea. Our room was very nice but small. It included a spacious closet with a mini fridge, nice TV, and a window that opened. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was awesome! It included cereals, yogurt, meat cheeses, fruit, breads, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, bacon. There were only two negatives […] of the hotel. One was that it was hard to find. The address listed does not help you know which water taxi to take or give much information to locate the hotel on a map. The hotel is located in the Castello area and in the Campo Zaccaria. You can take the Zaccaria stop on a water taxi. The other was that the hotel staff was not great at providing recommendations for restaurants. Their sister hotel has a restaurant on-site so that was their only recommendation. We would definitely recommend staying at Villa Igea!! Mehr

I stayed the night at the Villa Igea after finishing my cruise. the hotel was easy to find the people were very helpful and friendly and my room was quit comfortable. I left before they served breakfast so I can't comment on that. The hotel is an easy walk from San Marcos square and the water bus is right there. This hotel is very convenient and you […] can't beat the price. Plus, it stays dry during high tide. I plan on a return trip to Venice and will stay at the Villa Igea again. Mehr

Perfect lacation, safe near restaurnts and shops. Minutes from St Marks and the grand cana. There was nothing to be unstatisfied with. Highly recommend.l

I have read many people getting lost looking for this hotel and it really is easy so here we go: From the airport you need to disembark at San Zaccaria stop. As you come off the boat look directly ahead - between two hotels look for a blue & white H (hospital) sign above an alleyway - it's almost directly in front of you when your back is to the sea […] - that's the alleyway you need. Walk through it (70 yards) and the church is on the right, hotel on the left facing the church. Really 1 minute from getting off the boat. Hope that helps. Hotel lovely, location superb. Bridge of sighs 2 minutes walk, San Marco & Doges Palace 3-4. Breakfast really comprehensive and very good. Some rooms overlook the church and square which is a super bonus. Look around the corridors as there are several balconies overlooking the square/church which are free for all to use. Reception staff very helpful. Definitely one to recommend. Mehr

We (family of 5) stayed at the Villa Igea in August 2010. When we arrived, we were told that they had upgraded our rooms. The triple room was upgraded to a wonderful 2 bedroom suite (#705), with huge rooms, huge beds and 42-inch plasma TVs - the kids were thrilled to bits. Our twin room was upgraded to a room (#605) facing the San Zacharia church - […] the room was comfortable but very very small. There were some minor problems in our room (bathroom door didn't lock, not enough electricity outlets), but they were fixed very quickly. Breakfast was included in our price, but since there was a problem with the coffee machine at Villa Igea, we were offered breakfast at their sister hotel, just round the corner, facing the lagoon. It was lovely to have breakfast outside every day. The position of the hotel cannot be beaten, and we would definitely return. Mehr

The hotel wasn't amazing by any means but the service was amazing. The person at check in gave us the main sites to see in Rome as well as gave us a map and routed them from the hotel. We also had an extra person come and they accomodated us with no problem. Everyone was extremely nice, I definately reccommend

Villa Igea is a small comfortable hotel about 5 minutes walk from St Marks Square. It is situated in a surprisingly quiet area with easy access to the waterbuses and all the major sights of Venice. This is the second time that we had stayed at the hotel. It is clean, flexible and comfortable. Hotel is very near to the water taxi disembarkation point as well as St. Mark's. Comfortable rooms with adequate amenities.

I stayed at this hotel February 2010 and would recommend to others. The room was small but this is typical for Italy, very clean and breakfast sufficient. It was 7 minutes to St Mark's and convenient for all sites, very convenient to waterbus which was less than a minute walk for transportation to/from airport. Great location, a bit off the main tourist path but easy enough to find. We took the complimentary tour to Murano that is offered by the Hotel and did not feel pressured at all to buy as some reviewers stated. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.

This hotel is in an ideal location on the Grand Canal. We were able to get taxi drivers and porters to assist with luggage. Hotel personnel were very accomodating and easy to work with. Room was small, but nicely complimented.

We could not have been more pleased with this quaint little hotel. It was a little scary after getting off the water taxi to be told to go through the alley a little ways away. This lead to a charming courtyard where the hotel was located. As we were very early, we could not get into our room. It became available about 1pm. The location is steps from […] St. Marc's Square. Good restaurants in every direction. Room compact, and hardly "A room with a view" it was at the back of the hotel, but quiet at night. There is a "back way" to the courtyard, which is marvellous, as it avoids lots of tourists next to the Grand Csnal. Easy walking distance to almost anywhere. Staff great and good breakfast. If I ever get bak to Venice, I will make a bee line for Villa Igea. Mehr

I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel. Its location was ideal being only a few alleyways away from St Mark's Square. We came upon our hotel with much trepidation about what it would be like as we had booked online just from the hotel.com website and being such good value for money wondered about its condition. The hotel is situated off the main […] frontage of the Grand Canal through an alleyway which opened out into a square with a church and water fountain. We opened the hotel door and the air conditioned lobby was a welcome blast of cooled air after our walk from the bus depot with our luggage to be met with a very polite receptionist. My first impression surpassed my expectations. Our room was on the '6th' floor (I don’t think it was the sixth floor though because the hotel did not look that high). It was full of character and to me was fully in line with Venetian decor. The bathroom was of a good standard being clean and modern. The room size was ample and although no view to speak of through the two large windows this really was a small price to pay for such a lovely room. The bed was very comfortable and along with the air conditioning I slept very well indeed. The only point I would make was the drone of the air conditioning but the benefit far outweighed the negative. I enjoyed our breakfast which was both continental and english orientated. The staff were polite and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. Mehr

Hotel with great location just 5 mins from S.Zaccaria water taxi stop. Beautiful quite location although only 5 mins walk to Sa Marco Square!

The hotel was safe and clean. We had an average-sized room. There was a sufficient continental breakfast. They held our luggage for us on the day we got there. The walls were a little thin and they were doing construction, so it was somewhat loud during the day. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Ask them about getting a water taxi to Murano […] (a nearby island). They booked it for us and took us for a private tour of the glass factory there. Both the taxi and factory were free and the gallery in the factory was amazing! We had a little difficulty finding the hotel at first. It is straight off the "water subway" and through the alley--if you go over a bridge, you missed the alley. The hotel is on the left. It is only a couple of blocks from St. Mark's Square, which was convenient. Mehr

The Hotel was very nice for the money we paid. We were greeted warmly and the staff were very helpful. Our room was on the top floor "Penthouse" the room was clean and spacious with a surprise roof terrace. The room, the hotel were a wonderful surprise and we will stay there again. '

Perfect location to enjoy Venice! My wife and I had a wonderful time and we intend to return to Venice and stay at the same hotel.

great location,quiet close to all the action without being in it. Very good service. Room was a bit small and the ac was not working or non-existent....other then that it worked great.

The hotel was great. Breakfast was really good with some of the best kiwi I've ever had. The rooms were nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was great. Right around the corner from the San Marco Basilica and right near one of the Vaporetto stops.

Bokade detta hotell 4 månader i förväg och fick ett riktigt bra pris. Rummet var inte stort men heller inte trångt, badrummet större än förväntat. Verkade nyrenoverat. Missa inte terasserna en och två trappor upp! Lätt att hitta - systerhotellet Savoia & Jolanda ligger 2 minuter från San Marco-platsen, direkt vid kajen där båtarna stannar (San Zaccaria) […] och det är där du checkar in så hjälper de dig att hitta till ditt rum (30 m in till ett litet torg framför San Zaccaria-kyrkan). Rent och fint, superbra läge och god frukost på systerhotellet som är 4-stjärnigt. Rekommenderar det absolut! Mehr

God beliggenhet, likevel stille og rolig - bare 100 meter tilbaketrukket fra strandpromenaden - og 400 meter fra St. Marcus. Hotellet har ikke egen resepsjon, men benytter resepsjon og spisesal i nabohotellet som har front mot strandpromenaden. Fint å spise frokost ute - rett på strandpromenaden - foran hotellet, topp utsikt. Hyggelig betjening

tæt ved grande kanal og i lille sidegade ligger dette dejlige hotel, der er knyttet til større hotel der ligger ved kanalen.

Good price performence. We got a 4 stars htl for the price of 3 stars, really near San Marco. Lovely stuff, clean and spacius room, great brekfast. We will go back next time in Venice. Best recommendations. Cecilia H Sweden, 2 persons

Tivemos um pequeno stress. Apesar de ter reservado 2 quartos duplos, nos disponibilizaram um apartamento no quinto andar para 4 pessoas. Do 4º para o 5º andar tínhamos que subir escadas. Não gostamos, reclamamos e não aceitamos. Foram gentis e atenciosos e nos transferiram para o hotel Savoya, do mesmo grupo, 4 estrelas, de frente para o mar e não cobraram […] a diferença. Quanto ao Savoya, só temos elogios. Mehr
